Abideth Not in The Doctrine of Christ

The Doctrines of Christ are what the Spirit OF Christ taught in the prophets and Jesus of Nazareth made more certain to the Apostles who left us a memory of their eye-- and ear-- witness.  Doctrine means TEACHINGS and so the Doctrine OF Christ is the Teachings that belong to Christ.  Jesus never taught the gospel of the "gospel" but the gospel of the kingdom of God or his church which is uniquely and only Qahal, synagogue, ekklesia which is a Word Only assembly.
1John 1:2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness,
        and shew unto you that eternal life,
        which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
1John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you,
        that ye also may have fellowship with us:
        and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
1John 1:4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
1John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you,
        that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
1John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him,
        and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
1John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light,
        we have fellowship one with another,
        and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1John 1:8 ΆIf we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1John 1:9 If we confess our sins,
        he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
        and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned,
        we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
The WORD or LOGOS which Jesus spoke and the Apostles recorded is defined as the Regulative Principle.  The Qahal, synagogue, ekklesia or Church ordained by Christ the ROCK in the wilderness is defined exclusively as an assembly to Rest, Read and Rehearse the Word of God as it was first delivered to Moses and then to sub-elders of groups as small as 10 families. (Exodus 18)
Ex. 18:19 Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee:
        Be thou for the people to Godward,
        that thou mayest bring the causes unto God:
Ex. 18:20 And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws,
        and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk,
        and the work that they must do.

Ex. 18:21 Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people
        able
men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness;
        and place such over them, to be
        rulers of thousands,
        and rulers of hundreds,
        rulers of fifties, and
        rulers of tens:
The resource was to be The Book of The Covenant of Grace. This was and is the only spiritual covenant made by God in Christ to Abraham. In Galatians 3 Paul skips over The Book of The Law added because of transgressions and defines how one becomes a Child of Abraham by being baptized into Christ. Being washed with water in baptism has less to do with eternal destiny because we are washed with water INT the Word meaning into the School of Christ.  He wants to be the only Teacher of those who obey Him.

The Law of Moses imposed because of idolatry regulated the Civil-Military-Clergy up to the time the elders wanted kings like the nations so they could worship like the nations.  At the same time from the wilderness onward people assembled in their isolated villages and the permitted activity was to attending Reading Assemblies.

Christ further defined A Church of Assembly of Christ both inclusively and exclusively in the prophets and apostles.  Jesus never preached about the gospel of Jesus but the gospel of the Kingdom which does not come with religious observations. The Doctrines OF Christ or the Doctrines FROM Christ or the doctrines which are Christ.  Those who do not abideth in the doctrine of Christ simply DO NOT HAVE CHRIST at any level.  The Doctrine of Christ in the Prophets defines A Church of Christ both inclusively and exclusively: He forbids seeking your own pleasure or speaking your own words.

Christ or whatever or whomever God anoints to be His instrumental means defined the Qahal, synagogue, ekklesia or Church OF Christ (the Rock) in the wilderness.  It was after Israel had fallen into the instrumental idolatry of the Egyptian trinity of father, mother (spirit) and son that God separated the Jacob-cursed and God-abandoned Levites to worship the starry host.  God sentenced them to captivity and death beyond Babylon and gave them The Book of The Law to legislate for the lawless until He would given them kings in His anger to carry out His sentence of exile and death. The godly Israelites attended synagogue or Church as A School (only) of the Word (only) while they rested from the pagan worship of the astrial gods on the seventh day.

God did not command king, kingdom, temple, animal slaughter, priests or Levites who performed as soothsayers or sorcerers performing exorcism.  The Civil-Military-Clergy complex was called by Christ in the prophets robbers and parasites because they robbed the godly people to satisfy their flesh and blood lust.   The Godly people attended synagogue which never changed: it had and has a ONE PIECE PATTERN which is to PREACH the Word (only) by READING the Word for comfort and doctrine.

2John 1 The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth;
        and not I only, but also all they that have known
the truth;
John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Jesus promised to return as "another" Comforter or different in that He would return as our King, Priest, Master Teacher.  The Spirit OF Christ is the Spirit OF truth meaning the minnd or mental disposition of truth.
John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive,
        because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him:
        but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter [paraclete] is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father,
        even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come,
        he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself;
        but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:
        and he will shew you things to come.

1John 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us;
        he that is not of God heareth not us.
        Hereby know we the spirit of truth,
        and the spirit of error
John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive,
        because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him:
        but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come,
        whom I will send unto you from the Father,
        even the Spirit of truth,
                which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come,
        he will guide you into all truth:
        for he shall not speak of himself;
        but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:
        and he will shew you things to come.
John 18:38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this,
        he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them,
        I find in him no fault at all.

JESUS RECEIVED THE PROMISE OR OFFICE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT OR MIND OF CHRIST (2 Cor 3) AND RETURNED AT PENTECOST AND "POURED OUT THAT WHICH YOU SEE AND HEAR."  The symbols were WIND or BREATH (Spirit) and FIRE.  As prophesied in Isaiah Messiah would use His Word to sift or winnow the people and burn up the chaff or viper race not suitable to be baptized by John.
1John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.
         And if any man sin, we have an advocate [Comforter paraclete]with the Father,
        Jesus Christ the righteous:

1John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
So, one of the doctrines of Christ is that God bestows His Spirit or Mind through Jesus Christ. We know that we know Him when we receive the seal at baptism that we have REQUESTED A holy spirit meaning A good conscience, consciousness or a co-perception of the WORD.
1John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
1John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

1John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you,
        and ye need not that any man teach you:
         but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie,
        and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
1John 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ;
        not by water only, but by water and blood.
        And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

1John 5:1Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God:
        and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
1John 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
1John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1John 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

2John 2 For the truth’s sake, which dwelleth in us,
        and shall be with us for ever.

2John 3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

2John 4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth,
        as we have received a commandment from the Father.

Mark 7:5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him,
        Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders,
        but eat bread with unwashen hands?
Mark 7:6 He answered and said unto them,
        Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written,
        This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
Mark 7:7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me,
        teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

The Prototype of Babylon-Tyre Israel. Sodom not spiritual Israel. Jesus referenced Isaiah and Ezekiel to define the national Worship of the Starry Host--Abaddon The End-Time Fulfillment
For thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people. Ezek 26:7

They will plunder your wealth and
    loot your merchandise;
    they will break down your walls
    and demolish your fine houses

    and throw your stones, TIMBER and rubble into the sea. Ezek 26:12
Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses,

and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying,

Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the Lord. Eze 33:30

Rev 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured BEAST, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
   Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
   Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
   Rev 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
I will put an end to your noisy songs, and the music [sound] of your harps will be heard no more. Ezek 26:13

The LXX is more forceful in showing that both the music and the musicians would be silenced---

"And he shall destroy the multitude of thy musicians, and the sound of thy psalteries shall be heard no more." Ezek. 26:13 L

My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to listen to your words,
   but they do not put them into practice.

With their mouths they express devotion (Lord, Lord as amorousness - inordinate love),
     but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain (commerce or trade or attendance). Eze 33:3

Ezekiel 33:32 And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song
of one that hath a pleasant voice,
and can play well on an instrument:
  for they hear thy words,
     but they do them not.

Rev 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird

And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; Rev 18:22

I will make thee a terror, and thou shalt be no more:
    though thou be sought for,
    yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the Lord God. Ezek 26:2
When all this comes true--

and it surely will--

then they will know that a prophet has been among them." Eze 33:33

Revelation 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
   Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone
2Thessalonians 3:6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
        that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly,
        a
nd not after the tradition which he received of us.
2Thessalonians 3:7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us:
         for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
2Thessalonians 3:8 Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought;
        but wrought with labour and travail night and day,
        that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

2John 5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee,
        but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

THE way to love one another is to obey the Doctrines of Christ and this will guarantee that we never do anything to another that is no consistent with the Teachings and live of Christ.

2John 6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments.
        This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

Just Love is not the Doctrine of Christ: Love is defined AS walking in the commandments of Jesus who articulated the Word or LOGOS which is the Regulative principle or Governing Principle.

In John 14 only the Father and Son are the actors:  God made the Man Jesus to be both Lord and Christ.  Having the Father-Son abide in or with one is condition on their keeping the commands taught as the Doctrine of Christ. At the same time, the one who Keeps Christ's commandments is said to abide in or dwell in the Father-Son.  The Doctrine OF Christ throughout the epistles as the inspired writers were finishing their parts is that there are only two "actors" under consideration:

There is One God [Theos] as the Father and Singular Creator and Governer of the universe.
There is One Lord [Kurios] Who was declared the Son of God in a spiritual sense only AFTER he came up out of the Water of Baptism. The Spirit OF Christ had taught this Doctrine of Christ especially in Isaiah 1 and Malachi 3.

2John 7 For many deceivers are entered into the world,
        who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.
        This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

There is only  One God (Theos). Jesus is the One Lord (Kurios) Whom God MADE TO BE both Lord and Christ.

1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God,
        and one mediator between God and men,
        the MAN Christ Jesus;
THIS WAS REVEALED TO MOSES AFTER THE PEOPLE FELL INTO MUSICAL IDOLATRY AT MOUNT SINAI BECAUSE THEY REFUSED TO LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF GOD. Take Note that it was because of musical idolatry at Mount Sinai that God ordained the Jacob-cursed Levites to operate the Worship of the Starry host. (Acts 7 for instance.). He conditionally sentenced them back to Babylon for captivity and death.  "Prophesying with instruments" with Miriam and the Levites is defined as soothsaying or sorcery.

Deuteronomy 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee,

Deuteronomy 18:16 According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying,
.....Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
Deuteronomy 18:17 And the LORD said unto me,
        They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
Deuteronomy 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet FROM AMONG their brethren, like unto thee,
.....and will put my words [Dabar-Logos ]in his mouth;
.....and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

Jesus of Nazareth was the SEED of Abraham and did not exist until God caused Eve to conceive and bear a child. You will notice that in the epistles as the Jesus Christ as Holy Spirit had guided the Apostles into all truth, only the FATHER and Son Jesus are addressed.

Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ,
        called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
Romans 1:2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

The Holy Scriptures to the spiritual people is contained only in the Prophets and Apostles.  The prophets were inspired or breathed upon by the Spirit OF Christ.

Romans 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord,
        which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
Romans 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power,
         according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
Romans 1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship,
        for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
Romans 1:6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:

The Doctrine of Christ denies that we are saved by our faith alone. Faith or pistis means that we COMPLY with what we believe.  To deny that salvation demands obedience to THE FAITH or the Teachings of Christ is to deny Chhrist.

2John 8 Look to yourselves,
        that we lose not those things which we have wrought,
        but that we receive a full reward.

2John 9 Whosoever transgresseth,
        and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.
        He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

doctrīna , ae, f. doctor,
I.teaching, instruction (class.; cf.: litterae, artes, disciplina, praecepta, scientia, humanitas).
A. Object., the knowledge imparted by teaching, i. e. science, erudition, learning:
B. Subject., the habit produced by instruction, principle:

The doctrine is that which Christ TAUGHT in the Prophets and apostles.
The doctrine is not ABOUT Christ because that would mean that Christ had to be instructed.  In fact, The Father God (Theos) breathed (spirit) and Jesus whom God made to be both Lord and Christ Articulated that Word.  Jesus said that He did not speak on His own.

Jesus affirmed this when He exhibited the full authority of the Gentiles father, mother (spirit) and infant son.  The teaching was not ABOUT Jesus but what Jesus was inspired to teach. The command was:

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
        baptizing them in the name [singular] of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:
        and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Peter understood what he was taught and began publically teaching The Doctrine of Christ or the doctrine which Christ commanded to be taught the first step required to be a disciple of Christ or a Christian.

Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart,
        and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them,
        Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ
        for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of 'A' the Holy Ghost.
The parallel mandatory Doctrine of Christ is repeated so that no one can misunderstand:

Acts 3:18 But those things,
        which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets,
        that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted,
         THAT your sins may be blotted out,
         when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Peter says that Baptism SAVES us because this is the Doctrine of Christ as His instrumental means:

1Peter 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient,
        when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah,
        while the ark was a preparing,
        wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
1Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us
        (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh,
        but the answer of [a request for] A good conscience toward God,)
        by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

The Doctrine of Christ can only be understood by those who have been "washed in water INTO the Word or into the School of Christ.
Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children,
        and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Acts 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort,
        saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized:
        and
the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Christ translated their spirits into a heavenly kingdom--the church--and added them to the Church of Christ where they would be protected from the religionists and be taught the Word (Logos) of God through Christ.

Acts 2:46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple,
        and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people.
        And the Lord added to the church daily such as should were being saved.

2John 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

2John 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

2John 12 Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.

2John 13 The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.
