Colossians 2:9 The Godhead is Divine Nature
Seek The Old Paths: "Christianity is built upon the Deity of Jesus the Christ. That Jesus is both the 'Son of God' and 'God incarnate' is set forth clearly in Scripture."
First, That refutes Jesus as the SON of the "self-existing" God.Matt. 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?Second: Christianity is built upon the "salvation issue" defined inclusively and exclusively in the prophets. Jesus identified the Prophets and other prophecies "concerning me" as Holy Scripture.
Matt. 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Matt. 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona:
for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee,
but MY Father which is in heaven.
Matt. 16:18 And I say also unto thee,
That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church;
and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Rom. 1:2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)The Gospel and letters of John came decades later to refute the "proof texts" already being used to diminish Jesus and His power and authority as the MAN, Prophet, Priest, King
Rom. 1:3 Concerning HIS Son Jesus Christ our Lord,
which was made of the seed of David according to the FLESH;
Rom. 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power,
according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
1John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth notJesus was sent to seek and save lost spirits: those OF the world will not hear the invitation and make the good confession which honors the MAN Jesus as our elder brother.
that Jesus Christ is come in the FLESH is not of God:
and this is that spirit of antichrist,
whereof ye have heard that it should come;
and even now already is it in the world.
Rev. 1:5 And from Jesus Christ,Christianity is the School of Christ through the Word or Logos: It is built upon or EDUCATED by the Prophets and Apostles.
who is the faithful witness,
and the first begotten of the dead,
and the prince of the kings of the earth.
Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
Colossians.2.9.Godhead.Dwelled.as.Divine.Nature
Col. 2:1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
Notice that the word AND means that Christ is not God the Father. That is a salvation confession.
Col. 2:2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love,
and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding,
to the acknowledgement of the
mystery of God and of the Father,
AND
of Christ;
OR:
Phil. 1:2 Grace to you, and peace
from God [Theos] our Father,
AND
the Lord [Kurios]Jesus Christ.
The MAN Jesus of Nazareth was neither Lord Nor Christ much less God until God the Father gave Him that role:
Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, t
hat God
hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified,
both Lord and Christ.
Col. 2:3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Col. 2:4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
Col. 2:5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit,
joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.Col. 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the LORD, so walk ye in him:
Col. 2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in THE FAITH
as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
The Faith is The Logos which is God's Regulative Principle which outlaws all assembly roles for the elders to "Teach that which HAS been taught." For that neither Jesus, nor Paul nor historic scholars gives any funding.
Col. 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit,
after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.Jesus did not CREATE the heavens and earth which is the Kosmos, Ecumenical or the kingdom of the Devil. He made or purchased and potentially redeemed the whole world. Those OF Faith or OF truth will only be found by those evangelists who go with the invitation and not operate religious institutions OF this. There is the Words of Christ left for our example OR the words just fabricated by those Paul called corrupters of the word meaning "selling learning at retail."
Col. 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Godhead is something that dwells in Jesus who came in the FLESH.
1. Notice that philosophy, vain deceit, traditions of men, rudiments of the world
2. ARE IN CONTRAST TO
3. GODHEAD.
Begin with reading the text:
Col. 2:9 For IN him [Jesus] dwelleth all the FULLNESS
of the Godhead bodily.
It is to accuse Paul and inspiration of ignorance because somethed DWELLED in the FLESH of the MAN
God was smart enough to have Paul say that in Jesus Christ GOD livend in His FLESH body.
GODHEAD NEVER MEANS THE ONE GOD THE FATHER: FIRST LOOK AT SOME BIBLE 101A TO PREVENT YOU FROM BLASPHEMING OR BEING AN ANTICHRIST.
ONE:
Christ's Enemies: John 10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not;
but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
A Christian: John 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified,
and sent into the world,
Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
TWO:
1Tim. 2:5 For there is one God,
and one mediator between God and men,
the MAN Christ Jesus;
THREE:
God Said: Num. 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent:
hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Jesus Said: John 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Except ye eat the FLESH of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
FOUR:
God is: John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Jesus is NOT: Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see;
for a spirit hath not FLESH and bones, as ye see me have.
FIVE:
1John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God:
and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
2John 7 For many deceivers are entered into the world,
who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.
This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Some again banish all other Gods, and attribute the control of the universe to a single one; I got rather depressed on learning how small the supply of divinity was. But I was comforted by the lavish souls who not only make many, but classify; there was a First God, and second and third classes of divinity. Yet again, some regard the divine nature as unsubstantial and without form, while others conceive it as a substance. Then they were not all disposed to recognize a Providence; some relieve the Gods of all care,

THE LATIN GODHEAD IN COLOSSIANS 2:9
Latin Divine: dīvus a god, deity, divine being
A Church of Christ of which Jesus is the Head is commanded to "teach that which has been taught." It has no other function.
Latin Godhead or Divine is: dīvīnĭtas Divine quality, divine nature, excellence; of the orator
Dīvīnus I. of or belonging to a deity, divine “divina studia colere divina facta, i. e., religious exercise, divine worship, sacrifice, etc Divine ORIGIN.
2. The divine, that which comes from God, nihil est divino divinius, Sen. Ep. 66, 11.— 3. That which is under the sanction of a god; a. By divine inspiration, prophetically: “plura divine praesensa et praedicta reperiri
Divine stŭdĭum , I. a busying one's self about or application to a thing; assiduity, zeal, eagerness, fondness, inclination, desire, exertion, endeavor, study: (b). A place for study, a study, school (late Lat.): “philosophum (se egit) in omnibus studiis, templis, locis,”
Jesus was filled in a visible-audible sense with God's Word or Logos. That is the Regulative Principle OPPOSITE of personal experiences or comments, rhetoric, singing, playing instruments or acting. The Sabbath never meant a day of worship but REST: REST demands stopping everything so that you can obey the command to teach that which is written for our learning.
A Church filled with the Divine Nature is a school of the prophets and apostles exclusively
Eph. 2:20 And are built upon [educated] the foundation of the apostles and prophets,
Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
Eph. 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men,
as it is now revealed
unto his holy apostles and prophets
by the Spirit; [God breathed which is not a spirit person]
The Spirit OF God is the BREATH of God which inspirits or inspired only the prophets and apostles. Once that has been delivered to the saints God gave Evangelists to GO into all the world and set up Ekklesia-Synagogues which are a SCHOOL of the WORD and has no other role other than to SEND Evangelists.
The Godly Jews were forbidden to attend the assemblies of Levi or enter into their covenant: they were quarantined to their isolated areas and gathered or synagogued to hold a holy convocation. That is the pattern which never changed. Both Jews and Gentiles were wise unto salvation and most today are not because the absolute command and examples of Jesus was:
Acts 15:21 For Moses of old time
hath in every city them that PREACH him,
being READ in the synagogues every sabbath day.
Eph. 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
2Pet. 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the WORDS which were spoken before by the holy prophets,
and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
g3415. mnaomai; middle voice of a derivative of 3306 or perhaps of the base of 3145 (through the idea of fixture in the mind or of mental grasp); to bear in mind, i.e. recollect; by implication, to reward or punish: — be mindful, remember, come (have) in remembrance. Compare 3403.Everyone in the whole world can speak the same things if they obey the pattern and "speak that which is written for our LEARNING" or Scripture for our Comfort. Jesus acts as Paraklete (another comforter) when His Words which ARE Spirit are read.
g3403.mimnesko, a prolonged form of 3415 (from which some of the tenses are borrowed); to remind, i.e. (middle voice) to recall to mind: — be mindful, remember.
There is nothing any human can add which does not DESTROY the purpose of hearing and remembering or memorizing the Word of God BREATHED into the Prophets
Rev. 18:20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
THE GODHEAD IN ROMANS 1:10
Jesus of Nazareth did not CREATE the heavens and earth or the physical earth which was DESTROYED BY WATER.Rom. 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
Rom. 1:2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
Rom. 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord,
which was made of the seed of David according to the FLESH;
Rom. 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power,

Rom. 1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship,
for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
Rom. 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Rom. 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made,
even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse
Jesus did not CREATE the world opposed to the Church but He did something to the World for which He refused to pray:

Matt. 16:18 And I say also unto thee,

The Church of Christ is built upon the fact that Jesuus is the SON of the always existing God.
If you say that Jesus the Son WAS one of the self-existing gods then you cannot be in Christ's new WORLD
THE Mundo WORLD by Jesus Christ began on the day of Pentecost. That World could not begin until Jesus took His blood into the heavenly Tabernacle and returned as Holy Spirit as He promised.
