Being "scholars" they have never read any real John Calvin nor the Bible except to find proof texts.* The concept of Predestination is that God works or CAUSES every cell in your body to do what He predestinated from eternity. When Rick Warren's son killed himself he was bound to say that in effect God KILLED HIM by moving all of the cells in the son's body.

This a Satanic idea because there is not a single passage which teaches the TULIP version of the Purpose Driven Cult. John Calvin said as much about free will as predestination. However, the "theologians" have never read John Calvin's writings nor the Bible other than to lift out verses.

The Jews believed that they were PREDESTINATED and "Father Abraham stands by the gates of hell to prevent ANY Jew from entering in."

Because David Young and the elders claim that God COMMANDED RISING UP TO PLAY it might be logical that God has turned him/them over to worship the starry host and sentenced them back to Babylon (see Acts 7)

God did not PREDESTINATE David Young to try to become the Alpha Male of a cult. The Elders in Ephesians 4 if they are APT and working for Christ are to EJECT the cunning craftsmen or Sophists (rhetoricians, singers, instrument players) because THEY LIE IN WAIT TO DECEIVE.
God FOREKNEW or KNEW BEFORE a tiny remnant of faithful Jews who had not bowed to Baal (that instrumental mark).
God PRESERVED a tiny remnant perhaps the 120 still alive when Messiah came as an offering to God.
God PREPLANNED but did not PREPROGRAM this tiny LITTLE FLOCK would accept Jesus as the Messiah and be marked by the LOGOS, word or God's Regulative Principle for those "lost spirits" the evangelist--if he is an evangelist-is SENT OUT to speak the words of the Invitation to COME OUT OF THE WORLD seen in religious rituals known as legalism.
God did not PREASSIGN heaven or hell to a single person and to say so is blasphemy and shows hate for God and HIS Word.

The concept of predestination derives from the dogma of ORIGINAL SIN. However, Satan tempted Eve and sin was introduced into the WORLD. EVE did not carry a deadly virus worse than HIV which people contract if their mother had sex other than to procreate.

Many people are called RIGHTEOUS after the Garden of Eden and they were not "sprinkled" when infants and did not fail to be inclucated by some religious institution.

To mark the vile absurdity of predestination we might note that:

There is not a remote hint that God every randomly selected any named person to be evil or go to hell.
There is 100% Biblical evidence (if you care) to show that there is not a single individual who is not evil because they CHOSE to be evil.
The people who are doomed because of their own choice are always NATIONS but never individuals.
The New Testament makes it clear that it is NATIONS who are chosen.

PERHAPS THESE ARE THE SUPERNATURAL MARKS OF THOSE PREDESTINATED TO BE CAST ALIVE INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE: WHO CAN TELL?

Rather than speaking about Pool Tables and God's making dogmatically certain that David Young is going into the side pocket, take a look at Bible Speak

God KNEW BEFORE the Jews: Paul does not say that God foreknew individuals and predestinated them to be saved or lost.

God Knew Before the small remnant of Jews who had not bowed to Baal.
God pre-purposed that the Gentiles would hear the same gospel.
God did not control the response of anyone to the gospel of Rest from rituals

God's right to pick certain people to carry out His will with His validation, does not mean that they were predestinated to heaven.

There is ONE GOD THE FATHER and ONE Mediator between Man and God: the MAN Jesus Christ. Jesus is now in His GLORIFIED state because He OBEYED the Father and spoke only what the Father breathed (spirit) into him. Jesus knows the MIND OF OUR SPIRIT:

Rom. 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit,
        because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Rom. 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
        to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Rom. 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Rom. 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Rom. 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Rom. 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Rom. 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
Rom. 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Rom. 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Rom. 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Rom. 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

THE HUMAN SPIRIT GROANS WITHIN US

Rom. 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit,
        because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

IF A CHILD DIES IT IS NOT GOD'S WILL. God does not create evil. The verse does not say that all events will be proven GOOD. If a wife loses a husband there is nothing good that can be caused by that death. Those who suffer most often turn against God. It rains on the just and unjust.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
            to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Rom. 8:28 ASVAnd we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose.

When Jesus promised another or different Comforter, He said I WILL COME TO you. John gives us the NAME of the Holy Spirit Comforter:

1John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.
        And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
1John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only,
        but also for the sins of the whole world.

God is not evil: His will or wish is that ALL be saved. How evil then to say that God MANUFACTURED little girls just to send them to hell. God's PURPOSE is that we keep HIS commandments. David Young says that the PROOF of our predestination is that we have a holy spirit person living inside and the proof is that we keep on struggling against sin.

John 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot,
        Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him,
        If a man love me, he will keep my WORDS:
        and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him,
        nd make our abode with him.
John 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings:
        and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love;
        even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

GOD FORKNEW BEFORE THE TINY REMNANT OF JEWS and not David Young.

Notice the two GROUPS which is always the meaning of PREDESTINATED purpose.

And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob,
........[1] and to restore the preserved of Israel:
........[2] I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles,
........[3] that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth. Isa 49:6

Salvation is Yeshuwah! God chooses those who DO NOT repudiate Him by THEIR OWN SINS.
Thus saith the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One,
        to him whom man despiseth,
        to him whom the nation abhorreth,
        to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship,
        because of the Lord that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel,
        and he shall choose thee. Isa 49:7

Isa 66:4 - I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because whenI called, none did answer; whenI spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in whichI delighted not.

Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee:

........ .[2] and give thee for a covenant of the people,
........ .[3] to establish the earth, to cause to
................inherit the desolate heritages; Isa 49:8

Paul's next statement in Romans 8:29 is:

Israel was chosen for a purpose but that purpose was not predestination to salvation which could not be lost. In Romans 9 Paul disabuses the Jews of their claim to predestination because of their musical idolatry of the trinity at Mount Sinai.

I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. Rom 11:1

God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, Romans 11:2

Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. Romans 11:3

But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. Rom 11:4

There is no hint that God PREDESTINATED or prevented the seven thousand men from bowing to Baal: those who refused were RESERVED as faithful.

Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him. 1 Kings 19:18

Shaar (h7604) shaw-ar'; a prim. root; prop. to swell up, i. e. be (caus. make) redundant: - leave, (be) left, let, remain, remnant, reserve, the rest.

WHAT IS THE MARK OF BOWING TO IDOLS: remember that the Jacob-cursed and God-abandoned Levites made instrumental NOISE which warned the civil-military-clergy that they must bow or worship "the starry host." And Godly person present was commanded to be EXECUTED. Amos and Stephen give us the NAMES of some of the "gods" worshipped by the Jews and used as a pattern by David Young and the Elders at the Northwest Church of Christ in Murfreesboro.

THE JEWS SLAUGHTERING INNOCENT ANIMALS GOD DID NOT COMMAND

2Chr. 29:26 And the Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.
2Chr. 29:27 And Hezekiah commanded to offer the burnt offering upon the altar. And when the burnt offering began, the song of the LORD began also with the trumpets, and with the instruments ordained by David king of Israel.
2Chr. 29:28 And all the congregation worshipped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded: and all this continued until the burnt offering was finished.
2Chr. 29:29 And when they had made an end of offering, the king and all that were present with him bowed themselves, and worshipped.

In one form or another Baal or the ELOHIM was the god of all ancient and modern pagans who bow or submit themselves to instrumental sounds to silence the mouth of God.

Dan. 3:5 That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:
Dan. 3:7 Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
Dan. 3:10 Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image:
Dan. 3:15 Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?

God KNEW ALL of Israel before. However, he RESERVED only the remnant BECAUSE they had neither bowed nor kissed Baal.

Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. Rom 11:5

The remnant when Jesus came were not RESERVED because they keep the Law of Moses. God extended grace because people obeyed Him because obedience is NOT a work of the Law or of human merit.

And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. Rom 11:6

What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for;

but the election hath obtained it,
and the rest were blinded Rom 11:7

Paul in 2 Corinthians 3 says that they were BLINDED because they did not obey the Words of God. Even still they would not be able to read the Old Testament until they TURNED to Christ Who IS that SPIRIT.

(According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day. Rom 11:8

Jesus points to the Pharisees and Isaiah 29 as well as Ezekiel 33 to show that it was MUSICAL rituals which had starved the people to death.

Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: Isa 29:13

Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid. Isa 29:14

And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them: Rom 11:9

Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway. Rom 11:10

Isay then, Have they stumbled that they should fall?

God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. Rom 11:11

Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? Rom 11:12

Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee. Ac.26:5

CONTRADICTING DAVID YOUNG AND THE NORTHWEST CHURCH OF CHRIST

Acts 15:14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles,
        to take out of them a people for his name.
Acts 15:15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
Acts 15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, [tent]
        which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

DAVID YOUNG SAYS THAT WE DON'T SEEK OR PICK GOD: HE PICKS US.
Acts 15:17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord,
        and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord,
        who doeth all these things.
Acts 15:18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

ISN'T THE SPIRIT AND PAUL CALLED IDIOTS IF THE PREDESTINATED PEOPLE HAVE NO CHOICE

Heb. 10:28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Heb. 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy,
        who hath trodden under foot the Son of God,
        and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing,
        and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

God does not pour out His wrath (the performance orgy) because He decided from eternity past that these people had no choice?

Heb. 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me,
        I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Heb. 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Heb. 10:32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
Heb. 10:33 Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
Heb. 10:34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
Heb. 10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
Heb. 10:36 For ye have need of patience,
        that, after ye have done the will of God,
        ye might receive the promise.
Heb. 10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
Heb. 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith:
        but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Heb. 10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition;
        but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Contrary to the hyper-Calvinists, faith is not a GIFT which only the predestinated receive.

Heb. 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Heb. 11:2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Heb. 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the WORD of God,
        so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Heb. 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain,
        by which he obtained witness that he was righteous,
        God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
Heb. 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

Heb. 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him:
        for he that cometh to God must believe that he is,
        and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

EVERYTHING GOD WORKS IS FOR MAN'S GOOD: if God hand picked certain men to carry out His will that does not mean that they were PREDESTINATED or hand picked from all eternity. If God PRESERVED Pharoah or KEPT HIM ALIVE God Used him for the GOOD of the Israelites. God did not sentence Pharoah to burn in hell just to prove that God is the BIG MAN ON THE BLOCK.
