There are TWO
ROADS especially at Mount
Sinai: After receiving The Book of The Covenant of grace, the
people
refused to KEEP the REST day (Ex 31). They rose up to PLAY in
Exodus 32 and God removed GRACE and gave them a FIREY LAW to regulated
idolaters. He turned them over to worship the STARRY HOST and
that is why all students understand that the temple and sacrificial
systemwas
Sabazianism or sun, moon and wandering star "gods" which was identical
to that of the Egyptians and Babyonians.
The
Spiritual people were commanded to Qahal, synagogue or hold church in
the wilderness on the REST days: this quarantined them from
the
sacrificial idolatry and permitted them to Rest, Read and Rehearse the
Word of God (only). This outlawed vocal or instrumental
rejoicing: pretty simple that you shut up the musical children when God
comes to instruct you through the elders.
That never changed even when Jesus endorsed the synagogue and commanded
the ekklesia which was a INSTRUCTION ONLY assembly of the people. Why
would it be insane to ask people to find where God COMMANDED them to do
what He as Christ outlawed for the entire history of the Jews?
In
many ways, the wilderness was a test for people who were idolaters in
egypt, were rescued to save God's name, and continued their
abominations just after the Red Sea. Christ speaks through the PROPHETS
and not the Civil Scribes Jesus warned about in the prophets warning
about the lying pen of the Scribes as they defended the CURSE as God's
patternism.
Those who claim that the Holy Spirit told them thag God "commanded instrumental praise" and insisted that "we must not be disobedient" uses Hezekiah's Plague stopping covenant to remove the pollutions from the Temple so that the priests would return and protect Hezekiah--the King--and his not commanded government from invasion.
There was no instrumental "noise" when the animals were sacrifed for the king, kingdom and temple. However, as a "unity" gesture to Israel the "instrumental music sect" they offered the goats which were always part of the Dionysus worship Israel was cursed with because of Mount Sinai. It was ONLY during the burnt offerings for the GOATS that the warrior Levites under the king and commanders of the army make instrumental noise.
However, Christ in Spirit spoke through the prophets and said that God had not commanded burnt offerings when they came out of Egypt. The command for the Tabernacle was built under the tribe of JUDAH because Levi had been cursed by Jacob: He said that we should NOT attend their assemblies and that is the only assemblies where the warrior Levites made instrumental noise.
At the same time, the commands for the Civil-Military-Clergy complex is always repudiated by the Prophets telling the side of Christ the Spirit.
Exod 31:1 AND the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,Exod 31:2 See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur,
of the tribe of Judah:
Exod 31:3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God,
in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge,
and in all manner of workmanship,
Exod 31:4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,
Exod 31:5 And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.
Exod 31:6 And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan:
and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom,
that they may make all that I have commanded thee;
The Tabernacle was not a house of worship but a TENT to witness to the unity of all of the people. It could only exist in one place and God outlawed other altars. Rather than let David be killed God turned him over to an old Jebusite High place because they were finally abandoned to worship the starry host BECAUSE of musical idolatry at mount Sinai.
Exod 31:7 The tabernacle of the congregation,
and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is thereupon,
and all the furniture of the tabernacle,
Exod 31:8 And the table and his furniture,
and the pure candlestick with all his furniture, and the altar of incense,
Exod 31:9 And the altar of burnt offering with all his furniture,
and the laver and his foot,
Exod 31:10 And the cloths of service,
and the holy garments for Aaron the priest,
and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priests office,
Exod 31:11 And the anointing oil, and sweet incense for the holy place:
according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do.
Having finished Bible, card class, one would know that at Mount Sinai Moses is repeating fall into pagan idolatry before and just after the flood. He then warns them not to do musical worship on the Sabbath. This is clearly an object lesson lost on the preacher--class because in Exodus 32 we have Israel rising up to PROFANE the Sabbath by musical idolatry.
Exod 31:12 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
Exod 31:13 Speak thou also unto the CHILDREN OF ISRAEL,
saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep:
for it is a sign between me and you
throughout your generations; [your revolution of time]
that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you.
That doesn't sound like A DAY OF WORSHIP to me! The word KEEP is:
8104. shamar, shaw-mar´; a primitive root; properly, to hedge about (as with thorns), i.e. guard; .NOTE THAT THIS IS BEFORE THE BOOK OF THE LAW AND IS THEREFORE NOT LAW BASED
The Sabbath was for REST. Because Joshua never gave them REST there was prophesied "another" day which would be the NEXT DAY after the Sabbath. This REST is the Greek PAUO. Both REST and casting down the burden laders who burdened the people with arousal songs, are documented to excluded all of the hypocritic arts and crafts. Jesus called the Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites. By referring to Isaiah and the similar prophetic warning in Exekiel 33 Jesus marked the Scribes, Pharisees, hypocrites as rhetoricians, singers and instrument players.
At Mount Sinai rising up to PLAY in musical idolatry was so repulsive that God turned them over to worship the Starry Host. He sentenced them to be taken captive and destroyed "beyond Babylon."
THE COMMAND TO KEEP THE REST DEFINES DEFILING WHICH HAPPENED IN EXODUS 32
This is a primary definition of those who ACT without God's explicit authority.
Ex. 31:14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you:
every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death:
for whosoever doeth any work therein,
that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
Before the Law: If you do not KEEP the REST (Pauo by Jesus) you DEFILE it.
If you DEFILE the REST you are worthy of Death.
Both REST and LADED BURDEN are defined by Jesus.
HOW DO YOU KEEP THE SABBATH OR "PAUO" IN GREEK?
Moses wrote for people who would not read or listen. Therefore, when people want to IMPOSE something on the REST (Pauo) that Christ died to give us, it is important to look back and see how they could have understood the word if they cared. In chapter 32 thy profaned the Sabbath: that word includes to play the flute, steal other's inheritance, pollute or prostitute. Therefore, we might ask the translators what the word meant to them.
KEEP the sabbath never meant WORSHIP on the REST day for the spiritual people of God. Jesus gave us (the fee) another REST day which outlaws the musical aggitation and dethroned the burden laders.
Keep: H8104 shâmar shaw-mar' A primitive root; properly to hedge about (as with thorns), that is, guard; generally to protect, attend to, etc.:—beware, be circumspect, take heed (to self), keep (-er, self), mark, look narrowly, observe, preserve, regard, reserve, save (self), sure, (that lay) wait (for), watch (-man).

Jesus defined the Scribes and Pharisees as hypocrites by pointing to performance speakers, singers and instrument players.
Custodio: hold back To sport, dally, wanton mimic or imitate work, make believe work. B. Especially to play on an instrument of music, to make or compose music or song:"Quint. Inst. 12 1.29
[29] And assuredly the man who will best inspire such feelings in others is he who has first inspired them in himself. For however we strive to conceal it, insincerity will always betray itself, and there was never in any man so great eloquence as would not begin to stumble and hesitate so soon as his words ran counter to his inmost thoughts.
Sermons pretend that it is God speaking
Singers pretend that their songs are Spirit inspired.

The Church is a School of the Bible only. Why isn't it CRAZY to think that you can worship God in Christ while making music?

What the people did as they rose up to PLAY on the day dedicated to God and rest deserved death and that is what happened. The word defiled has several meanings and here are ways you can defile the day by pretending to worship God but turn to food and entertainment.

WHAT HAPPENED IN THE CAMP WHILE MOSES WAS GETTING THE BOOK OF THE COVENANT
The people were not under the law of moses but of a form of the Abrahamic Covenant: the only spiritual covenant with promise which would not included the period of the Law but would be realized in Christ.
To defile the sabbath is:
Chalal (h2490) khaw-lal'; to profane (a person, place or thing), to break (one's word), to begin (as if by an "opening wedge"); denom. (from 2485) to play (the flute): --- take inheritance, pipe, player on instruments, pollute, (cast as) profane (self), prostitute,
Of Lucifer the "singing and harp playing prostitute" in the garden of Eden to PROFANE:
Ezek. 28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Gen. 4:26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos:
then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.
Began is h2490 and rather than "began" is to "profanate." Verse 26. It must not be dissembled that many eminent men have contended that ljwh huchal, which we translate began, should be rendered began profanely, or then profanation began, and from this time they date the origin of idolatry. Most of the Jewish doctors were of this opinion, and Maimonides has discussed it at some length in his Treatise on Idolatry; as this piece is curious, and gives the most probable account of the origin and progress of idolatry, I shall insert it here.
"In the days of Enos the sons of Adam erred with great error, and the counsel of the wise men of that age became brutish, and Enos himself was (one) of them that erred; and their error was this: they said, Forasmuch as God hath created these stars and spheres to govern the world, and set them on high, and imparted honour unto them, and they are ministers that minister before him; it is meet that men should laud, and glorify, and give them honour. For this is the will of God, that we magnify and honour whomsoever he magnifieth and honoureth; even as a king would have them honoured that stand before him, and this is the honour of the king himself.
When this thing was come up into their hearts they began to build temples unto the stars, and to offer sacrifice unto them, and to laud and glorify them with words, and to worship before them, that they might in their evil opinion obtain favour of the Creator; and this was the root of idolatry, &c.
Exod 31:15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
Shabbathown (h7677) shab-baw-thone'; from 7676; a sabbatism or special holiday: - rest, sabbath.
Exod 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath,
to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
Exod 31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever:
for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested,
and was refreshed.
A SIGN never means "A day of worship." Israel does not mean those NOT of Israel.
Exod 31:18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai,
two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
Paul says that they are a MINISTRATION OF DEATH: because LAW incites people to violate the Law, God TESTED Israel who deserved to self destruct in Israel, with the 40 DAY PLAN.
Preacher 101 missed the point that these tablets were DESTROYED and never again given other than by Moses WORK to regulate a people already sentenced to worship the STARRY HOST and return to home base as "robbers of caravans."
Sure enough they PROFANED the Sabbath, failed the test by MUSICAL IDOLATRY and God sentenced them to Captivity and Death whih would be FACILITATED by the "kings set over us."
Next I will look at chapter 32 of this MORALITY PLAY to show how then, now and evermore the masses who are salesmen of the Free Water of the Word are ordained to leave the masses WITHOUT EXCUSE.
LAWS always tempt us to VIOLATE THEM: that is why if you preach, sing or play on the Sabbath you are MARKED as having passed from life to death. Indeed, Zechariah said that if any of the men did the musical prophesying AFTER the SIGNS had been fulfilled by THE BRANCH, their parents should kill them.
