Is Sara Barton.Is.A.Woman.Called.To.Preach

Is Sara Barton Is A Woman Called To Preach? Preacer means she is an eye-- and ear-wittness to the risen Lord who is STILL the only Teacher through revealing His Word to "Disciples who continues in MY Word"  Otherwise, a preacher is a herald who takes the EYE-WITNESS message of God and takes it OUT. Only the Prophets who defined Messiah's reign both inclusively, and Jesus who made thess PROPHECIES more certain, and the Apostles "left us a memory"

2Pet. 1:18 And this voice which came from heaven WE HEARD,
        when we were with him in the holy mount.
2Pet. 1:19 WE have also a more sure word of prophecy;
        whereunto YOU do well that ye take HEED,
        as unto a LIGHT that shineth in a dark place,
        until the day dawn, and the DAY STAR arise in your hearts:
2Pet. 1:20 Knowing this first,
        that no PROPHECY of the scripture is of any PRIVATE INTERPRETATION

Private Interpretation means that God's Revealed Will is not to be further expounded or enhanced.

This Prophecy was by the Spirit of or About Christ.

2Pet. 1:21 For the PROPHECY came not in old time by the WILL OF MAN:
        but holy men of God SPAKE as they were MOVED by the Holy SPIRIT.

1Pet. 1:11 Searching what, or what manner of time the SPIRIT of Christ which was in them
        did signify, when it TESTIFIED beforehand
        the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

SPIRIT as related to God's revelation is always in the form of "God put His WORDS into the MOUTH of Moses, Elijah (the prophets) and LASTLY, the MAN Jesus. God gave Jesus the roll of Lord, Christ and Spirit 30 years after He came in the flesh.

When Jesus and EYE-- AND EAR-- WITNESSES Certified this Last Will and Testament and Jesus took on the STATE of Holy Spirit, this Record, which is not to be Further Expounded IS now SPIRIT or the Mental Attitude of God.

John 6:63 It is the SPIRIT that quickeneth;
        the flesh profiteth nothing: [any act by human hands]
        the WORDS that I SPEAK unto you, they are
SPIRIT, and they are life.

Luke 10:22 ALL THINGS are delivered to me of my Father:
        and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father;
        and who the Father is, but the Son,
        and he to WHOM THE SON WILL REVEAL HIM

A DOCTOR OF MINISTRY DENIES ALL OF THE ABOVE.

Sara Gaston Barton is a woman CALLED to PREACH .  We should celebrate this calling,
        but unfortunately she is a member of a faith community that not only
                takes the New Testament with great seriousness,

        but, with few exceptions, this communion believes that the New Testament
                excludes women’s voices from the broader life of the church
.

Sara holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Hazelip School of Theology

Lipscomb University Preaching 2008 From Denominational Imagination!
"This conference proposes that WE allow the worlds imagined
        in the essential biblical narratives
        to dramatically shape our preaching and lives.
We believe that preaching REconstitutes biblical paradigms when it engages Scripture’s vision

  1. by REpresenting what is absent
  2. and making present what is INaccessible
  3. to the end that followers of God will live into a God-shaped reality.

Walter.Brueggeman.Rejects.Scripture.Lipscomb.University.html

The title of Walter Brueggemann’s book Hopeful Imagination is revealing.  He sees the prophetic books of Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Isaiah as imaginative, poetic works which come out of a community that desperately needs hope because of the devastating political situation-- the Babylonian exile in 587 B.C.  Authors used “enormous prophetic imagination...The poets...wrought the new actions of God by the power of their imagination, their tongues, their words.  It’s not clear what Brueggemann means when he says that the poets “wrought” new actions of God.
        He does not believe that the authors were recording God’s actual dealings with humans, past or future; rather, he says that they “wrought,” i.e., made up, acts of God from their imaginations.  Brueggemann is indelibly clear that he sees the prophetic books to be fanciful (he uses the word “imaginative”) creations of groups of men, rather than the revealed words and prophesies of God.  It would be one thing if Brueggemann were just one professor saying such atrocities.  But he is one of the most widely respected and read professors in the liberal community. Hazards of the mainline, Part 3, Chapter 6 Revelation.
    Brueggemann says “those of us who think critically do not believe that the Old Testament was talking about Jesus, and yet we make the linkages.  Texts traditionally understood as prophetic and messianic he generally interprets as "Christian imagination" or "rereadings": for example, the "great light" promised in 9:2 is simply "relief from oppression" not predictive.

THESE PROGRAMS REJECT FATHER, SON AND SCRIPTURE AND HEAR VOICES TELLING THEM WHAT FATHER AND SON COULD NOT EVEN IMAGINE OUR CULTURE:

THEY SAY THAT JESUS WAS IRRATIONAL

Luke 22:37 For I say unto you, that this THAT IS WRITTEN must yet be accomplished in me,
        And he was reckoned among the transgressors:
        for the things concerning me have an end.

Luke 24:44 And he said unto them,
        These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you,
        that all things must be fulfilled,
        which were written in the law of Moses, and in the PROPHETS, and in the psalms,
        concerning me.
John 6:62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
John 6:63 It is the SPIRIT that quickeneth;
        the flesh profiteth nothing:
        the WORDS that I SPEAK unto you, they are
SPIRIT, and they are LIFE

No one wants to be a Preacher and take the SEALED SCRIPTURES to the front lines in Ukraine.

For Sara Barton: But complicating the picture further is the REALITY OF CALL  What happens if from your youngest years you have a yearning to preach the gospel and to teach the Bible, not just to women and children, but to every person?  One could, as many have, simply throw away the text, but what if you feel drawn to the biblical message and you don’t want to let it go?

FIRST, LET'S LOOK AT THE REASON FOR EXCLUDING A PREACHING PASTOR PERSON.

In 1 Corinthians 14 Paul understood history and "Thus Saith the Law" to warn sold themselves and charismatic madness (mania) and asks give the reason by asking "Did the WORD begin with you." Paul revealed once for all the only resource for  SPEAKING
In 1 Timothy 2 Paul silences everyone beyond speaking the WORD, Logos or Regulative Principle by stating:

1Tim. 2:1  I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
1Tim. 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority;
        that we may lead a QUIET and PEACEABLE life in all godliness and honesty.

Both male and female:

BOTH JEW AND GENTILE WERE WISE UNTO SALVATION BECAUSE OF THE SYNAGOGUE:

Acts 15:21 For Moses of old time
        hath in every city
        them that PREACH him,
        being READ in the synagogues every sabbath day

THEN AND NOW:

Acts 13:27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their RULERS,
        because they knew him not,
        nor yet the voices of the prophets
        which are read every sabbath day,
        they have fulfilled them in condemning him

THE PATTERN OF JESUS
Luke 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: [educated]
        and, as his custom was, [Pattern]
        he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day,  [Once each REST day]
        and stood up FOR TO
READ [The only purpose for STANDING or self-exhibition]
Acts 13:15 And after the
READING of the law and the prophets
        the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren,
         if ye have any word of exhortation [comfort] for the people, say on.

WHY JESUS WILL NOT PERMIT THE WISE OR SOPHISTS TO READ BLACK TEXT ON BROWN PAPER.

2Cor. 3:12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
2Cor. 3:13 And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face,
        that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
2Cor. 3:14 But their MINDS were BLINDED:
        for until this day remaineth the same VAIL untaken away
        in the READING of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
2Cor. 3:15 But even unto this day, when Moses is READ, the vail is upon their heart.
2Cor. 3:16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord,
        the vail shall be taken away.

Turn is Converted meaning to be baptized
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be CONVERTED,
        THAT your sins may be blotted out,
        when the times of refreshing [new breath or spirit] shall come from the presence of the Lord;

2Cor. 3:17 Now the Lord IS that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

1Tim. 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
1Tim. 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved,  [Kept Safe]
        and to come unto the knowledge of THE TRUTH
1Tim. 2:5 For there is ONE GOD
        and ONE MEDIATOR between God and men,
        the MAN Christ Jesus;

JESUS IS THE TEACHER WHEN APT ELDERS SPEAKS OR READS THAT WHICH IS WRITTEN FOR OUR LEARNING. THEREFORE, WHY
FIGHT AGAINST DIVINE ORDER:

1Tim. 2:11 Let the woman LEARN in SILENCE with all subjection.

Jesus obeyed the Father and Spoke only HIS revealed Word.
The Apostles obeyed Jesus and taught only what He revealed.
Apparently the men are LEARING IN SILENCE.
The women asking questions were challenging the WORD AS READ.

        If there be a PROPHET among you,
        I the LORD will make myself KNOWN unto him in a vision, and will SPEAK unto him in a dream.
Num. 12:7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
Num. 12:8 With him will I speak MOUTH TO MOUTH [The meaning of SPIRIT],
        even apparently, and not in dark speeches;
        and the SIMILITUDE of the LORD shall he behold:
        wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
Num. 12:9 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

CLAIMING TO BE CALLED IS BAD PSYCHOLOGY BUT IT WORKS.

Num. 12:10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle;

But complicating the picture further is the REALITY OF CALL  What happens if from your youngest years you have a yearning to PREACH the gospel and to TEACH the Bible, not just to women and children, but to every person

One could, as many have, simply throw away the text, but what if you feel drawn to the biblical message and you don’t want to let it go?

1Timothy 2:11 Let the woman LEARN in silence with all subjection
1Tim. 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach,
        nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
1Tim. 2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
1Tim. 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman
        being DECEIVED [wholly seduced] was in the transgression.

Jesus said that truth had been hidden in parables since the foundation of the World. Furthermore, He said that God HIDES from the wise or Sophists who are rfhetoricians, singers, instrument players.

Eve is mentioned only twice in the New Testament and because Jesus spoke in parables to HIDE the truth from the WISE (sophists=rhetoricians, singers, musicians, actors).  Moses was writing an INVERTED version of Babylon Myths AFTER the nation fell from grace BECAUSE of instrumental idolatry at Mount Sinai.  Therefore, those who mock Paul do not understand that Paul knew all about Eve and scholars know nothing. While not necessarily true, Paul understood that women especially looked to EVE (Zoe, Mary) as THEIR Mediatrix.

The serpents, however, of the magicians-(that is,) the gods of destruction-withstood the power of Moses in Egypt, but the rod of Moses reduced them all to subjection and slew them. This universal serpent is, he says, the wise discourse of Eve. This, he says, is the mystery of Edem, this the river of Edem;
this the mark that was set upon Cain,
that any one who findeth him might not kill him. This, he says, is Cain, [Gen. iv. 15] whose sacrifice [Gen. iv. 5. ] the god of this world did not accept.

Theophilus to Autolycus

This Eve, on account of her having been in the beginning deceived by the serpent, and become the author of sin, the wicked demon, who also is called Satan, who then spoke to her through the serpent, and who works even to this day in those men that are possessed by him, invokes as Eve.58 And he is called "demon" and "dragon," on account of his revolting from God. For at first he was an angel. And concerning his history there is a great deal to be said; wherefore I at present omit the relation of it, for I have also given an account of him in another place.

58 Referring to the bacchanalian orgies in which " Eva " was shouted, and which the Fathers professed to believe was an unintentional invocation of Eve, the authoress of all sin.

The word "abomination" is also key to understanding the context. In Hebrew, the word "to 'evah," (abomination) is almost invariably linked to idolatry. In the passages from which both verses are taken, God tells Moses to tell the people not to follow the idolatrous practices of the people around them, people who sacrificed their children to Molech, or who masturbated into the fire to offer their semen to Molech, for example. Chapter 20 starts off with the same warning.

"To 'evah" also means "something which is ritually unclean."

1. Virtue being, as we have seen, of two kinds, intellectual and moral,
        intellectual virtue is for the most part both produced and increased by instruction,

Repeated and Intense pleasures, as noted above, are created by the WISE or SOPHISTS (from whom God hides, says Jesus.). A Sophist is a skilled speaker, singer or instrument player LYING IN WAIT TO DECEIVE.  These were knoted as Margites or margos: MAD men, greated and lustful. Jesus consigned them to the marketplace where they did ANYTHING for their food to keep from working:

But I gave the child with the instructions that the cowherd was to lay it on a desolate mountainside and wait there and watch until it was dead;

"Ezekiel in describing the necromantic ritual of the witches, says they fastened 'magic bands' (kesatot) on their wrists and with them 'trapped souls like birds' (Ezekiel 13:20). This rare word is related to the Sumerian KI-ShU, meaning some kind of magical imprisonment, but we have to look to Greek for its precise significance. In the form kiste, Latin cista, it appears as a container used in certain mystery rituals of the Dionysiac cult, supposedly for the carrying of secret implements. In fact, wherever the cista is graphically represented it is shown as a basket from which a snake is emerging. Thus on sarcophagi inscribed with Bacchic scenes, the cista is shown being kicked open by Pan and the snake raising itself from the half-opened lid. The snake is an important feature of the Dionysiac cult and imagery. The Maenads of Euripides' Bacchae have serpents entwined in their hair and round their limbs, and the snake was the particular emblem of the Phyrigian Sabazios (Sabadius) with whom Dionysos is identified." - John M. Because she has an inner burden to preach, and has had this burden since childhood,
        it has been impossible for Sara to cast it aside.
        It would be easier for her to ignore the calling or to move to another communion – like mine –
        so that she could be “at peace.”
These two options have proven impossible for her to embrace,
        and so she has tried to find ways to use her GIFTS and CALLING
        in a way that honors her God and BENEFITS her communion.

Carroll D. Osburn Change Agenda

RIGHT ON TIME Carroll Osburn

On pages 14-15: "With so many questions flying around and so much UNCERTAINTY
        being expressed in various quarters,
        what an opportunity for the various
faculties of our Christian colleges and universities

to help shape the future!
        These are the best of times to be involved in
Christian education!

THESIS OF ALL ONCE-CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITIES

"The Bible is not so much a 'heaven-sent answer book'
        as a
historical book PRODUCED within and for a historical COMMUNITY--
        yet it SERVES
as Scripture today

because people find themselves accountable to it.
        THAT is what make its SCRIPTURE" (p. 46).

Carroll D. Osburn claims that the inspired New Testament writer, Jude, was guilty of plagiarizing ("to put forth as original to oneself the ideas of words of another") from profane and impure sources (namely, the Pseudepigrapha book of 1 Enoch) (Peaceable Kingdom, pp. 93-122). Carrol. D. Osburn He is Carmichael Distinguished Professor of the New Testament at Abilene Christian University, abandoning verbal inspiration of Holy Scriptures and saying the Bible contains mistakes in science, history, and geography (Peaceable Kingdom, pp. 53-70).

The Bible does not generally quote from such profane sources [wrong], and certainly never treats such books as authoritative. However in this case the phrase "the seventh from Adam" does not come from Genesis but from
Book of Enoch 60:8. So we are not dealing with one quote of Enoch here, but two. In fact there are as many as 30 references to the Book of Enoch in 2 Peter and Jude. Slandering Celestial Beings, Steven cox

But the interpretation of the sacred books is, from various causes
        a) still more difficult, as the general consent of the LEARNED
                and the wonderful paucity
        (b) of good INTERPRETERS fully evince .
Biblical theologians are the ones who attempt to LOCATE these questions
        through identifying the central issues of the biblical FAITH.
For men whose gender identity and social domination were at stake due to these major upheavalsthat threatened patriarchalism,

Religion was seen as a useful tool...men now held that women were not to exercise authority...Texts such as I Cor. 14:34-35 and I Tim. 2:11-15 were stressed to forbid women teaching and preaching in the presence of men" (WOMEN IN THE CHURCH: Reclaiming the Ideal, p. 8-9). Such fundamentalist views on women in the church are primarily the result of reaction against cultural changes and only secondarily the result of biblical proof-texting. This, basically, is our legacy" (p. 17)

"Paul's arguments carried weight in HIS DAY even though they may not necessarily be convincing by today's standards" (p. 135).

The ACU Agenda: Train Prophetic roles, Channelers and Facilitators the method of SUBVERTING the 'hierarchial" views of Jesus and Paul by small acts of treachery.

The HIGH CHURCH view of the Disciples of Christ claims that the SCRIPTURES ARE NOT THE HIGHEST AUTHORITY.

Where are they today?

Originally part of the Restoration Movement (begun by Thomas and Alexander Campbell, Barton W. Stone and others), the Disciples of Christ adopted a denominational structure and created Christian Missionary Fellowship in the late 1800s, thus "abandoning" the "non-denominational" principle of the Movement.

In recent years (1970s following), the Disciples of Christ denomination has sought to broaden its "liberality" and has endorsed the following anti-Biblical positions:

1. homosexual marriages
2.
ordained women ministers
3. ordained women elders
4. denied the requirement of immersion for salvation [neo-Calvinism]
5. denied the
virgin birth of Jesus (The "incarnational" theory does this. Rubel Shelly compares Mary to Cherokee Sall, the mine prostitute.)

Shelly and York used the word SHAME of Mary 13 times.

6. participated with other liberal denominations in undermining the accuracy and authenticity of the Bible.

7. participated in unity discussions with the Roman Catholic church, apparently acknowledging the latter's claims and doctrines.
