Isaiah Chapter 56

For those who insist on keeping the Sabbath but systematically profane it we should note that the Sabbath Rest was given to the Israelites to quarantine them from the sacrificial system which was operated by false Jews:

I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan,” said Christ from the Spirit to John, about 96 AD (Revelation 2:9). At that time true Scripture believers had accepted Christ and called themselves Christians. The Sadducees had disappeared, according to the Jewish Encyclopedia, and the Pharisees were in complete control. Judaism was synonymous with Pharisaism

Jesus said, “Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.”

Isa 56:1 THUS saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

Isa 56:2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

The sabbath meant REST. The Holy Convocation was to read and rehearse the Word. The assembly was the qahal, synagogue or church in the wilderness. It specificially outlawed loading any burdens on people of which loud rejoicing or singing created the most spiritual anxiety. Numbers defines how the assembly is called:

Num 10:7 But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.

H6951 qahal kaw-hawl From H6950 ; assemblage (usually concretely):assembly, company, congregation, multitude.

H7321 rua roo-ah' A primitive root; to mar (especially by breaking); figuratively to split the ears (with sound), that is, shout (for alarm or joy): blow an alarm, cry (alarm, aloud, out), destroy, make a joyful noise, smart, shout (for joy), sound an alarm, triumph.

The prophecy of Judas as the Familiar Friend was that he would try to TRIUMPH OVER Jesus.

By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me. Psalm 41: 11

Polluting the Sabath meant to engage in music. The PRAISE word was similar and was a way to panic the enemy. The word, Lucifer, is from this PRAISE word.

God abandoned Israel's Musical Idolatry sect to worship the STARRY HOST.

He orgained the assembly or "church in the wildernes" to REST, READ or REHEARSE. Loud singing was excluded. This was the synagogue or EKKLESIA for SPIRITUAL PEOPLE.

Later, God granted the KINGS to MAKE MERCHANDISE of the people and use the BOYS to make musical instruments and run before the ORIENTIAL POTENTATE'S CHARIOTS.

"The ritual observances at the Hebrew and at the a Canaanite sanctuary were so similar that to the mass of the people Jehovah worship and Baal worship were not separated by any well-marked line... A sacrifice was a public ceremony of a township or clan... Then the crowds streamed into the sanctuary from all sides, dressed in their gayest attire, marching joyfully to the sound of music, and bearing with them not only the victims appointed for sacrifice, but store of bread and wine set forth the feast...Universal hilarity prevailed." (Gurney, O.R., Some Aspects of Hittite Religion, Oxford University Press, 1977, p. 37).

Heylel (h1966) hay-lale'; from h1984 (in the sense of brightness); the morning-star: - lucifer.

Lucifer is identical to ZOE in many respects and SHE is engaged in trafficing and merchandising: the Temples were "houses of merchandise, den of thieves." Go thou and do likewise.

Merchandise is:

Rekullah (h7404) rek-ool-law'; fem. pass. part. of 7402; trade (as peddled): - merchandise, traffic.

Nophek (h5306) no'-fek; from an unused root mean. to glisten; shining; a gem, prob. the garnet: - emerald.

Thou hast BEEN in EDEN the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy TABRETS and of thy PIPES was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Ezekiel 28:13

By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane [cHalal] out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Eze.28:16

As the king/queen of Babylon she was cast into Sheol with her harps and still breathing harpists. In Revelation 18, the PRESENT musicators work for the same HARLOT and perform SORCERY to decieve and MARKET your flesh. Hee Haw. "War is Hell: so help me I LOVE IT."

ISAIAH 58 WILL SHOW HOW THE TRUE FAST OR SABBATH SHOULD BE HELD:

Isa 58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen?
........ to loose the bands of wickedness,
........ to undo the heavy burdens [band or men or troops],
........ and to let the oppressed go free,
........ and that ye break every yoke?

Isa 58:7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry,
........ and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house?
........ when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him;
........ and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

Isa 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath,
........ from doing thy pleasure on my holy day;
........ and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable;
........ and shalt honour him,
........ ........ not doing thine own ways,
........ ........ nor finding thine own pleasure,
........ ........ nor speaking thine own words:

Rom. 15:1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
Rom. 15:2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
Rom. 15:3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
Rom. 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning,
        that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Rom. 15:5 Now the God of patience and consolation
        grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
Rom. 15:6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Rom. 15:7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
Rom. 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God,
        to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
Rom. 15:9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy;
        as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.

THE REDEEMER WOULD COME AND REMOVE THE BURDENS AND GIVE REST:

Isa 56:3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the Lord, speak, saying,
        The Lord hath utterly separated me from his people:
        neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
Isa 56:4 For thus saith the Lord unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths,
        and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
PROMISE OF ANOTHER DAY OF REST
Heb 4:5And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
        Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein,
Heb 4:6and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
Heb 4:7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David,
        To day, after so long a time; as it is said,
        To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
Heb 4:8For if Jesus had given them rest,
        then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

THE NEW REST COMES ONLY TO THOSE WHO ARE BAPTIZED FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS

PROMISE OF BETTER HOUSE

Isa 56:5 Even unto them will I give in mine house
        and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters:
        I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
Acts 7:46 Who found favour before God,
        and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
Acts 7:47 But Solomon built him an house.
Acts 7:48 Howbeit the most High
        dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
Acts 7:49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord:
        or what is the place of my rest?

God's rest is where GOD wills that we rest: the king, civil rulers and priests operated the HOUSE which was not of God's willing.

The spiritual people RESTED in their own area where they held synsgogue. Where people were willing to obey.

14. abah, aw-baw´; a primitive root; to breathe after, i.e. (figuratively) to be acquiescent:--consent, rest content will, be willing.
PROMISE OF A BETTER NAME

Isa 56:5 Even unto them will I give in mine house
        and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters:
        I will give them an everlasting name, that
shall not be cut off.

The Church of God was purchased with HIS OWN blood: therefore, the House of God is the Church of Christ:

1Tim. 3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

1Pet. 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us,
        what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

A new REST DAY Jesus called PAUO which means stop whatever it is you are doing.
A new Name as The Church of Chris
A new HOUSE is the Church of Christ
    It is maybe the ONLY house which uses the NEW NAME
    It assembles to study the New Covenant
    People enter the REST only by obedience in baptism
    It RESTS from that which profaned in Isaiah 56 which is SPECIFICIALLY the music
    which destroyed any ability to REST where God WILLS that we rest.

Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter:
    because when I called, ye did not answer;
    when I spake, ye did not hear;
    but did evil before mine eyes,
    and did choose that wherein I delighted not. Isa 65:12

Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty :behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:Isa 65:13

Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit. Isa 65:14

And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen:
    for the Lord God shall slay thee,
    and call his servants by another name:Isa 65:15

That he who blesseth himself in the earth
    shall bless himself in the God of truth;
    and he that sweareth in the earth
    shall swear by the God of truth;
    because the former troubles are forgotten,
    and because they are hid from mine eyes. Isa 65:16

For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth:
    and the former shall not be remembered,
    nor come into mind. Isa 65:17

Isa 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

Isa 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. Stricken: H5060 nâga‛ naw-gah' A primitive root; properly to touch, that is, lay the hand upon (for any purpose; euphemistically, to lie with a woman);

H5061 nega‛ neh'-gah From H5060 ; a blow (figuratively infliction); also (by implication) a spot (concretely a leprous person or dress):—plague, sore, stricken, stripe, stroke, wound.

Ovid Amours 3:12
Oh, that I ne'er had known the art to please,
But written without genius and success.
Why did the town so readily believe
My verse, and why to songs such credit give ?

Sure poetry s the same it ever was,
And poets ne'er for oracles did pass.
Why is such stress upon my writings laid?
Why such regard to what by me is said ?

I wish the tales I've of Corinna told,
Had been receiv'd as fables were of old;
Of furious Scylla's horrid shape we read,
And how she scalp'd her hoary father's lead:

Of her fair face, and downward how she takes
The wolf's fierce form, the dog's, or curling snake's;
Serpents for hair, in ancient song we meet,
And man and horse with wings instead of feet.

Huge Tityon from the skies the poets flung,
Encelladus's wars with Jove they sung;
How by her spells, and by her voice, to beasts,
The doubtful virgin chang'd her wretched guests;

How Eolus did for Ulysses keep
The winds in bottles while he plough'd the deep:
How Cerberus, three headed, guarded hell;
And from his car the son of Phoebus fell:

How thirsty Tantalus attempts to sip
The stream in vain, that flies his greedy lip:
How Niobe in marble drops a tear,
And a bright nymph was turn'd into a bear:

How Progne, now a swallow, does bemoan
Her sister nightingale, and pheasant son.
In Leda, Danae, and Europa's rapes,
They sing the king of gods in various shapes;
A swan he lies on ravish'd Leda's breast,
And Danae by a golden show'r compress'd;

A bull does o'er the waves Europa bear,
And Proteus any form he pleases wear.
How oft do we the Theban wonders read,
Of serpent's teeth transform'd to human seed!
Of dancing woods, and moving rocks, that throng
To hear sweet Orpheus, and Amphion's song ?

How oft do the Heliades bemoan,
In tears of gum, the fall of Phaeton!
The sun from Atreus' table frightened flies,
And backward drives his chariot in the skies.
Those now are nymphs that lately were a fleet;
Poetic license ever was so great.

But none did credit to these fictions give,
Or for true history such tales receive,
And though Corinna in my songs is fair,
Let none conclude she's like her picture there.

The fable she with hasty faith receiv'd,
And what, so very well she lik'd, believ'd.
But since so ill she does the poet use,
'Tis time her vanity to disabuse.

Malachi IV. "For, behold, the day comes, it burns as a furnace; and all the proud, and all who work wickedness, will be stubble; and the day that comes will burn them up," says Yahweh of Hosts, "that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. [2]  But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out, and leap like calves of the stall. [3]  You shall tread down the wicked; for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I make," says Yahweh of Hosts. [4]  "Remember the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel, even statutes and ordinances. [5] Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of Yahweh comes. [6]  He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike [percutiam]  the earth with a curse."[anathemate]

One of the words for becoming a CASTAWAY includes to divorce or exorcise by sacrifice. To send of or get ride of the word is

Odyssey 1.[150] Now after the wooers had put from them the desire of food and drink, their hearts turned to other things, to song and to dance; for these things are the crown of a feast. And a herald [preacher] put the beautiful lyre in the hands of Phemius, [celebrated minstrel [Kithera and aoidôn to praise the speakers] who sang perforce among the wooers; [155] and he struck the chords in prelude to his sweet lay. Isaiah 56:11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

Stephen in Acts 7 agrees with many clear statements that the king, kingdom, temple ans sacrifies were permitted to those who god had "turned over to worship the starry host."  The Jewish Encyclopedia agrees that this was stary worship of which Jerusalem was the headquarters.  This was Sabazianism devoted to Dionysus or Bacchus: the Levites never stopped their practice in Canaan.

The Eleusinian. Thus "Bacchus was directly called upon," he says. The Sabazian worship was Sabbatic; the names Evius, or Hevius, and Luaios are identical with Hivite and Levite.  The French name Louis is the Hebrew Levi; Iacchus again is Iao or Jehovah; and Baal or Adon, like Bacchus, was a phallic god.

"Who shall ascend into the hill (the HIGH place) of the Lord?" asks the holy king David, "who shall stand in the place of his Kadushu? (Psalms xxiv. 3). Kadesh may mean in one sense to devote, hallow, sanctify, and even to initiate or to set apart;

but it also means the ministers of lascivious rites (the Venus-worship) and the true interpretation of the word Kadesh is bluntly rendered in Deuteronomy xxiii. 17; Hosea iv. 14; and Genesis xxxviii., from verses 15 to 22. The "holy" Kadeshuth of the Bible were identical as to the duties of their office with the Nautch-girls of the later Hindu pagodas.

Deut 23:17 There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.
Deut 23:18
Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the Lord thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the Lord thy God.

Hos 4:14 I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people that doth not understand shall fall.

The Hebrew Kadeshim or galli lived "by the house of the Lord, where the women wove hangings for the grove," or bust of Venus-Astarte, says verse the seventh in the twenty-third chapter of 2 Kings.

The dance performed by David round the ark was the "circle-dance" said to have been prescribed by the Amazons for the Mysteries. Such was the dance of the daughters of Shiloh (Judges xxi. 21, 23 et passim), and the leaping of the prophets of Baal (I Kings xviii. 26). It was simply a characteristic of the Sabean worship, for it denoted the motion of the planets round the sun.

Pausanias, Attica: [6] On the market-place is a votive offering, a bronze she-goat [aix] for the most part covered with gold. The following is the reason why it has received honors among the Phliasians. The constellation which they call the Goat [capella] on its rising causes continual damage to the vines. In order that they may suffer nothing unpleasant from it, the Phliasians pay honors to the bronze goat on the market-place and adorn the image with gold. Here also is the tomb of Aristias, the son of Pratinas This Aristias and his father Pratinas composed satyric plays more popular than any save those of Aeschylus.

BACCHANTES: Men and women who joined in the Dionysian festivals dressed in Asiatic robes and bonnets; and with their heads wreathed with vine and ivy leaves, with fawn-skins (nebrides) flung over their shoulders, and thyrsi, or blunt spears twined with vine-leaves, in their hands, they ran through the country, shouting Io Bacche! Euoi! Iacche! Ia. Iê. swinging their thyrsi, beating on drums, and sounding various instruments. Indecent emblems [large phallus] were carried in procession, and the ceremonies often assumed a most immoral character and tendency. The women, who bore a chief part in these frantic revels, were called Bacchae, Maenades, Thyiades, Euades. See Dionysia.

[220] So they stood in the gateway of the fair-tressed goddess, and within they heard Circe singing with sweet voice, as she went to and fro before a great imperishable web, such as is the handiwork of goddesses, finely-woven and beautiful, and glorious

Oh, Phales,1 companion of the orgies of Bacchus, night reveller, god of adultery, friend of young men, these past six 2 years I have not been able to invoke thee. With what joy I return to my farmstead, thanks to the truce I have concluded, freed from cares, from fighting and from Lamachuses! 3 How much sweeter, oh Phales, oh, Phales, is it to surprise Thratta, the pretty woodmaid, Strymodorus' slave, stealing wood from Mount Phelleus, to catch her under the arms, to throw her on the ground and possess her, Oh, Phales, Phales! If thou wilt drink and bemuse thyself with me, we shall to-morrow consume some good dish in honour of the peace, and I will hang up my buckler over the smoking hearth.

Heredotus 2.49. For Melampus was the one who taught the Greeks the name of Dionysus and the way of sacrificing to him and the phallic procession; he did not exactly unveil the subject taking all its details into consideration, for the teachers who came after him made a fuller revelation; but it was from him that the Greeks learned to bear the phallus along in honor of Dionysus, and they got their present practice from his teaching. [2] I say, then, that Melampus acquired the prophetic art, being a discerning man, and that, besides many other things which he learned from Egypt, he also taught the Greeks things concerning Dionysus, altering few of them; for I will not say that what is done in Egypt in connection with the god and what is done among the Greeks originated independently: for they would then be of an Hellenic character and not recently introduced. [3] Nor again will I say that the Egyptians took either this or any other custom from the Greeks. But I believe that Melampus learned the worship of Dionysus chiefly from Cadmus of Tyre and those who came with Cadmus from Phoenicia to the land now called Boeotia. Comments

STICHUS  'Tis bravely done. I pledge you in a goblet. (Drinks.)

SAGARINUS  Keep your wine; I'd very much like something by way of a relish

STICHUS  If you are not satisfied with what's here, there's nothing else. Take some water

SAGARINUS  You say right; I care for no dainties. Drink away, Piper ; drink, if you do drink. I' faith, this must be drunk--don't shirk it. (Holds the goblet to the PIPER.) Why flinch at what you see must be done by you? Why don't you drink? Do it, if you are to do it. Take it, I tell you, for the public pays for this. That's not your way to shirk your drink. Take your pipes

STICHUS  When he has drunk, either do you mind my rules , or else I'll give up. I don't wish us to drink this straight out; we shall soon be about nothing

(718)
 ; for, by my faith, almost all in a moment, the cask might be turned head downwards

SAGARINUS  (to the PIPER) . How now? Although you did make a fuss about it, still it didn't hurt you. Come, Piper, when you've done drinking, put back your pipes to your lips; quickly puff out your cheeks, just like a reptile serpent

(722)
