Jeff Walling Instrumental Music in Worship

The Abomination of Desolation: first defined as the instrumental-trinitarian worship at Mount Sinai.

Unlike any once-religious university, the Churches of Christ have been "swarmed" by Theologians who believe that only they can understand Scripture.  Rather than TEACHING Scripture and Historical Scholarship, almost without exception wolves have been let into the Flock who have made a major industry out of LYING and ACCUSING the Historic Church with a dozen RACA words.  This is psychological VIOLENCE to make everyone SILENT. The TRIBULATION which began in World Religion claiming to be Christian but insisting that THEY, and not Christ, are now the mediators in song and sermon. We want to say that they are Biblically Illiterate but Jesus in His STATE of Holy Spirit had Paul say that the speakers, singers and instrument players are LYING IN WAIT TO DECEIVE.

The Hebrews brought Apollo or Apollyon with them from Egypt. Rejecting God's Grace, they rose up in Instrumental-Trinitarian-Perverted "play."  Paul in Romans 1 Defines the result or the MARK of those who use "mechanical" tones which are the weapons o SORCERY The LOCUSTS are the MUSES as Apollon's Musical Worship Team.

Rev. 9:11 And they had a king over them,
which is the angel of the bottomless pit,
whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon,
but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

Rev. 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven,
Now is come salvation, and strength,
and the kingdom of our God,  [The Throne is Returned to God]
and the power of his Christ:
for the ACCUSED of our brethren is CAST DOWN
        which
ACCUSED them before our God day and night.

SPIRIT is figurative or a Parable Word to Hide from the Wise, Sophists including Rhetoricians, Singers, Instrument Players or an acting out. God puts His SPIRIT into the MOUTH of Jesus and therefore Jesus could say my WORDS are SPIRIT and LIFE.

the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify,
when it TESTIFIED beforehand the sufferings of Christ,
and the glory that should follow.
1Pet. 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves,
but unto us they did minister the things,

who are the MUSES as His "worship team." They are known as filthy adulteresses and are SHEPHERDESSES AKA Feminist theology. Here is what I caught on to while looking at. the Book of Life.  It is easy to determine who is NOT in the book. Good study.

We can know who is NOT written in the book of life:

Rev. 9:8 And they had hair as the hair of women,
and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.
Rev. 9:9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron;
and the sound [includes instrumental] of their wings was as the sound of chariots
of many horses running to battle.
Rev. 9:10 And they had tails like unto scorpions,
and there were stings in their tails:
and their power was to hurt men five months.
Rev. 9:11 And they had a king over them,
which is the angel of the bottomless pit,
whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon,
but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

Revived?
Rev. 13:11 And I beheld another BEAST coming up out of the earth;
and he had two horns [hair] like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

Rev. 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding
count the number of the beast:
        for it is the number of a man;
and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Rev. 17:8 The BEAST that thou sawest was, and is not;
and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit,
        and go into perdition:
and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, [admire]
whose names were not written in the book of life
from the foundation of the world,
when they behold the beast that was,
and is not, and yet is.

The Lying Wonder is g2296. thaumazo, thou-mad΄-zo; from 2295; to wonder; by implication, to admire: — admire, have in admiration, marvel, wonder.
Isn't the new beast the same old revived beast? John calls the musical performers sorcereress using the title of the Beginning Babylon Mother of Harlots.
I will pursue this in the morning.

The Bad News for the "Progressive" Inclusives:

2Pet. 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people,
even as there shall be false teachers among you,
who privily shall bring in damnable heresies,
even denying the Lord that bought them,
and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

Paul outlawed self pleasure: Areskos or Placeo including all performing arts Jesus called hypocrites: speakers for hire (hirelings), singers or instrument players. They are the MARK of people who do not intend to speak "that which is written for our learning" and people who do not intend to obey the Word, Logos or Regulative Principle.

WHAT IS A HERETIC OR SECTARIAN? Doctors of the law, says Jesus "take away the key to knowledge" and "music means to make the lambs dumb before the slaughter." It certainly seems to work among the Latest Spawn of Doctors of the Law who lack reading ability and minimal ethics: selling learning at retail is corrupting the Word because God will not let His Word be sold: the same word defines prostitutes and fish mongers.

Who infiltrated and intends to lie, cheat and steal your property and flock? No one can find anything so vile and blasphemous in the historic church commanded not to engage in "vocal or instrumental rejoicing or self-speak" when the church (ekklesia) assembled (synagogued) to Rest (school), read and rehearse the Word of God. That is the ONE PIECE PATTERN because the Lord's Supper is a teaching activity which SHOULD cause men and women to sit down and be silent.

A SECTARIAN in a remote sense is one who has the power to choose what they will do and with whom they will do and what they will do. Christian liberty gives one the power to be a sectarian.

However, in the Greek language and real examples, a heretic is one WHO CHOOSES to take your property by force.

10.07.14   Jeff Walling a very theatrical kind of guy Dares to Dance with God.  To bad but that is the LADED BURDEN Jesus died to remove along with the professional BURDEN LADERS. Ancient civil societies never permitted a poet, song writer or actor to be a kerusso (herald preacher) because they couldn't resist opening the vital message from the king to the field commander and rewrite the instructions in his own image. Neither was this hypocritic band of speakers, singers or instrument players allowed to write TRUE history. Jesus said that God HIDES from the wise or sophists: speakers for hire, singers, instrument players, actors or dancers.

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

The rest of us are tired of having burden laders rise again after Jesus put them on the unimployed role:

Psallo was used for the first time in history in 1878 to claim that God commanded Instrumental music: this claim commanded some to deliberately sow discord in trying to force people to conform.

  1. If you say that not using instruments in the School of the Word from the wilderness onward is just an evil, sectarian, patternist TRADITION imposed by churches of Chrit.
  2. And the Bible rejects any vocal or instrumental excitement in the synagogue--ekklesia and Al Maxey became instrumental sectarians as late as 1878.

All of the Doctors of theLaw missed Bible 101a since there is no command, example or remote inference of any congregational singing with or without instruments in the entire Bible.  Singing as an ACT was imposed from Syria c. ad 373 after Constantine allowed preachers to be paid for the first time in recorded history.  This was chanting by syllables the human-compositions.  This split the east from the western churches.

There is no command, example or remote inference of congregational singing (unison) without instruments until John Calvin permitted some psalms only to be rewritten and set to a simple melody: melody is not harmony.

The Bible and recorded history uses musical instruments which made a sound which spooked the superstitious then and now as the MARK of people called hypocrites of men who had no intention of obeying the wilderness onward command to PREACH the Word (only) by READING the Word on the REST days with no mediating clergy identified in all religions as parasites.  Any audience you can sell a TICKET for attendance are also hypocrites because they have no intention of obeying the command to elders to "teach that which has been taught."

No one tried to justify sowing discord by imposing the organ (only, we promise) until the Disciples in the year 1878 which sectarianized the Disciples-Christians but NOT Churches of Christ.  Jesus used the SOP to identify Judas as the musical deceiver (Psalm 41) or son of perdition.  SOP and PSALLO have the same root meaning and in 1878 it was the MARK prophesied in Revelation 17f of the "lusted after fruits" as craftsmen, singers and instrument players John called SORCERERS who HAD deceived the whole world. Instruments and Burning are always connected and the Sorcerers and Dogs will be (have been) CAST ALIVE INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE and punished for ever and ever.

The Spirit of Christ identified Lucifer (Zoe and Eve as practiced) as the singing and harp playing prostitute who had been cast as profane (Chalal, Halal) into the garden of Eden.  In Isaiah 30 Christ alerts us to the fact that the MARKS of God driving His enemies into "hell" will be the same wind, string and percussion instruments.
  1. We may not know how long is for ever and ever.
  2. We may not know the exact meaning of HELL or the Lake of Fire.
  3. We can be dogmatically certain that the CAST people are those who HAD forever tried to silence the voice of God in the prophets and apostles through Christ.
  4. Read any recent article or listen to any sermon and you will discover that mighty mouths for hire make certain that Jesus doesn't get a word in edgewise nor that any cultified member is liberated to enjoy the REST from the Scribes  and Pharisees, hypocrites nor believe that "your money was your own." The "lord" cannot use it.

Aristot. Nic. Eth. 1175b.1

But things that are akin to things of different kinds must themselves differ in kind.
[3] A still clearer proof may be drawn
        from the hindrance that activities
receive from the pleasure derived from other activities.

For instance, persons fond of the flute
        cannot give their attention
to a philosophical discussion [The LOGOS or Regulative Principle]
when they overhear someone playing the flute,
        because they enjoy music more than the activity in which they are engaged;
therefore the pleasure afforded by the music of the flute
                impairs the activity of study.

[4] The same thing occurs in other cases when a man tries to do two things at once; the pleasanter activity drives out the other, the more so if it is much more pleasant,
until the other activity ceases altogether.

Hence, when we enjoy something very much, we can hardly do anything else; and when we find a thing only mildly agreeable, we turn to some other occupation; for instance, people who eat sweets at the theater do so
especially when the acting is bad.

[
5] And since our activities [of the flute] are sharpened, prolonged and improved by their own pleasure, and impaired by the pleasures of other activities, it is clear that pleasures differ widely from each other. In fact alien pleasures have almost the same effect on the activities as their own pains; since,
when an activity causes pain, this pain destroys it,
         for instance, if a person finds writing or doing sums unpleasant and irksome;

for he stops writing or doing sums, because the activity is painful.
IF you have an APT elder their first job is to eject the cunning craftsmen or sophists: they are speakers for hire, singers, instrument players or actors. Jesus said that God HIDES from them. School of the Word is not possible because THEY ARE LYING IN WAIT TO DECEIVE.

Stark: Who put the twelfth commandment into God's law, saying, "Thou shalt not have an instrument of music in the congregation of the saints?"  David [Lipscomb], the destructive critic, when, like the "man of sin," he sits in the temple of God, says: "Thou shalt not."  That is the corner stone of his departure--the foundation of his schism.  Their church is built upon it, and a few old fogies have made it a test of fellowship.  God will shake their thunder out of them and put some lightning into them one of these days. "Henceforth we must unite in agreeing that if we forego musical instruments we cannot  conform to the divine injunction to psallein" (Instrumental Music Is Scriptural, p. 172)

Of course, psallein is never used in polite society.
"Being very talented, he could play on the harp [epsallen] with the bare hand without a plectrum." -The Deiphnosphists, IV. 183-184, Tr. by Gulick Bk. 4, Sec. 183 D.

"Aristoxenus says that the magadis and the PECTIS may be played without a plectrum, by simply plucking [psalmou] with the fingers....

Again, Phrynichus says in The Phoenician Women,
'With plucking [psalmoisin] of the strings
they sing [aeidontes] their lays in answering strains."

-The Deiphnosphists, XIV. 635, Translated by Gulick, Vol. 6, p. 427.

"The psaltery (psalterion, saltere, sauterie, Psalterium, Psalter, salterio) is an ancient instrument seen in many forms. Early versions were simply a wooden board with gut strings stretched between pegs. The strings were plucked with fingers or by plectra (the name might have derived from the Greek psallein meaning plucked with fingers).

"The name of psaltery entered Christian literature in the 3rd century B.C. translation of the Old Testament called the Septuagint where, in the Psalms, nebel was translated psalterion. Thus, Nebuchadnezzar's idolatrous ensemble included the Aramic psantria. Notice, also, that the book of Psalms has also become known as the Psalter (or psalterium), from the hymns sung with this harp. Source
Cyrus was told how to "make the captive men helpless" rather than kill them. Heredotus records history:

Grant, then, forgiveness to the Lydians, and to make sure of their never rebelling against thee, or alarming thee more,
send and forbid them to keep any weapons of war,
        command them
to wear tunics under their cloaks,
and to put buskins upon their legs,

and make them bring up their sons to cithern-playing (Kitharizein),
        and
singing (psallein),
and shop-keeping (Hucksterism). [Corrupting the Word]
So wilt thou soon see them become WOMEN instead of men,
and there will be no more fear of their revolting from thee."

Any kind of performing music when Jesus told us to SPEAK that which is written INTENDS to bring glory and more "Authority" to King set over us:

-[4] Ludoisi de sungnτmκn echτn tade autoisi epitaxon, hτs mκte aposteτsi mκte deinoi toi eτsi: apeipe men sphi pempsas hopla arκia mκ ektκsthai, keleue de spheas kithτnas -[khiton  David's garment] te hupodunein toisi heimasi kai kothornous hupodeesthai, proeipe d' autoisi -kitharizein te kai psallein kai kapκleuein [prostitutes, petty trade, playing tricks, corrupting] paideuein tous paidas. kai tacheτs spheas τ basileu gunaikas ant' andrτn opseai gegonotas, hτste ouden deinoi toi esontai mκ aposteτsi."

The word kitharizo means to PLAY THE CITHARA and does not include singing.

-Kitharizτ 1 [kitharis] to play the cithara, phormingi [Apollo, Abaddon, Apollyon] kitharize Il., Hes.; lurκi eraton kitharizτn Hhymn. (so that there can have been no great difference between the kithara, lura, and phorminx ); kitharizein ouk epistatai, of an uneducated person,

Isn't it an insult to the Spirit of Christ and Paul to say that they were not smart enough to use one of the single words or compound word even simple would understand?

The PSALLO word used to GRASP POWER is an Abaddon word from plucking the Bow String to kill you or plucking the Lyre to mollest you.

Nonn.D.1.15
[11] Bring me the fennel, rattle the cymbals, ye Muses! put in my hand the wand of Dionysos whom I sing: but bring me a partner for your dance in the neighbouring island of Paros, Proteus of many turns, that he may appear in all his diversity of shapes, since I twang my harp to a diversity of songs.
For if, as a serpent, he should glide along his winding trail,
I will sing my god’s achievement, how with ivy-wreathed wand
he destroyed the horrid hosts of Giants serpent-haired.

Was the Spirit of Christ too stupid to command that we Twang (psallo) a Harp and Sing "that which is written for our learning?"

Nonn 1.[439] “Let’s have a friendly match, if you like. Come on, you make music and sound your reedy tune, I will crash my thundery tune. You puff our your cheek all swollen with wind, and blow with your lips, but Boreas is my blower, and my thunderbolts boom when his breath flogs them. Drover, I will pay you for your pipes: for when I shall hold the sceptre instead of Zeus, and drive the heavenly throne, you shall come with me; leave the earth and I will bring you to heaven pipes and all, with your flock too if you like, you shall not be parted from your herd.

Nonn 1.[326f] The professional cattle-lifter may think he is catching a bull and steal his own father! He may give his harp once again to your son Phoibos, [Apollo, Abaddon, Apollyon] as price for the ravisher ravished. But what can I do? If only Argos were still alive, shining all over with sleepless eyes, that he might be Hera’s drover, and drag Zeus to some inaccessible pasture, and prod his flanks with a crook!’”
486] “You liked the little tune of my pipes, when you heard it; tell me, what would you do when I strike [psallo] out a hymn of victory on the harp of seven strings, to honour your throne? Indeed, I matched myself against Phoibos with his heavenly quill, and beat him with my own harp

Croesus thought the Lydians would even so be better off than if they were sold for slaves, and therefore gave the above advice to Cyrus, knowing that, unless he brought forward some notable suggestion, he would not be able to persuade him to alter his mind. He was likewise afraid lest, after escaping the danger which now pressed, the Lydians at some future time might revolt from the Persians and so bring themselves to ruin.

Therefore, the Greek translation uses a word which, in their culture, meant a song which could be sung with a psalterium.
Jeff Walling is approved by the NACC because he works actively to help impose what they call "instrumental music worship."  The NACC -- a sectarian split from the Disciples of Christ from 1927 and finalized in 1971 continued to promote the idea that Churches of Christ was a sect of the Disciples beginning in 1906 when the only thing that happened was the refusal to let the Disciples COUNT the members of Churches of Christ in Tennessee in their Denominational structure. The fact is that the Reformers led by Alexander Campbell and others were converting fellow Baptists to teach some fundamental facts.

SEE how Jeff Walling told the NACC how he TRANSISTIONED HIS church to instrumental "worship" after the NACC transistioned Jeff Walling

Thou has Turned My Mourning into Dancing. Perhaps by God's design, they didn't read enough to understand that this is the GENDER mark well documented by Christ in Isaiah 3.

Check.gif Jeff Walling Instrumental Music in Worship.  The problem with preachers getting their information from other preachers intent on converting them is that they never get around to reading the story line and defining words. Jesus said that parables had hidden the truth from the Scribes and Pharisees from the foundation of the world. He called them hypocrites (actors) by referring to the Ezekiel version byChrist who named slick speakers, singers and instrument players.

Check.gif   Jeff Walling Winterfest 2013 Denies that Scripture replaces BEING LED BY THE LORD.  The leaders of this effort claim that they expose YOUR youth to lots of musical bands TO TEACH THEM TO LEAVE YOUR MOVEMENT.

Check.gif  Jeff Walling and Women in Ministry.  Paul claims to be led by Jesus into all truth. Paul denies BOTH the women and Jeff Walling etal ANY role in a Biblical School of Christ. Since Jeff is LEAD without the Scriptures and any other source of material he does NOT know "all about Eve" as did Paul and any reader of the Word. The command is to PREACH the Word by READING the Word for Comfort and Doctrine.

The PATTERN for the use of instruments is based on "a" spirit telling the discorders that when the Levites "stood in ranks" to execute any godly person who came near, that this was THEIR saying that God commanded instrumental praise (whatever that might be). Ceremonial praise singing is the world's OLDEST profession thinking that their silliness could appease or even seduce the "gods."

  1. If you say that when God turned the Levites over to worship the starry host and sentenced them to beyond Babylon.
  2. That He told the preachers that this is God's command for Instrumental Praise in the church
  3. Then, you are one of the MANY corrupting the word or selling learning at wholesale and are TASKED to lead as many as possible into the Lake of Fire where rhetoricians, singers and instrument players are consigned for being God's enemy. Isaiah 30 by Christ, Revelation 15f by Jesus.
  1. If you say that the word PSALLO commands instruments.
  2. When the Spirit and Paul and Silly Sally knew that you need a COMPOUND word to define both PLAY and a named INSTRUMENT.
  3. Then you may be guilty of saying that the Holy Spirit of Christ and Paul were just too illiterate and left you a legalistic loophole so you can get away with doing what God hates: music in the temples and people who sow discord.
  4. That is defined as BLASPHEMING the Holy Spirit OF Christ in Jeremiah 23
See the points of blaspheming in Instrumental Music in Worship?

Such people do not know the meaning of  Qahal, Synagogue, Ekklesia or The Church of Christ (the Rock) in the wilderness. It is defined as a place to REST from whatever the self-speakers who have no Role and no Biblical Dole want to lade on to you along with "a tax not in time of War."

The do not know that the UNIQUE Worship word for the Godly people from the wilderness onward and that defined and exampled by Jesus, clearly defined inclusively and exclusively as to GIVE HEAD to the Word of Christ in the Prophets and Apostles. That is the ONLY edifying or EDUCATING resource a Godly preacher will ever use.

that thy profiting may appear to all.
Psallo never in recorded history meant musical melody.  Jesus and Paul would have used MELOS or other words which speak of musical melody  which has NOT RELATIONSHIP to harmony.

In parallel passages melos is not used but  the following.
G3191 meletaō mel-et-ah'-o From a presumed derivative of G3199 ; to take care of, that is, (by implication) revolve in the mind:--imagine, (pre-) meditate.

G3199 melō mel'-o A primary verb; to be of interest to, that is, to concern (only third person singular present indicative used impersonally it matters):--(take) care.

How the NACC working for 4 decades transistioned a few preachers into betraying their congregation.
Associated Press Religion Today By MURRAY EVANS03.30.2006, 12:06 PM

A 1906 kinda story; Jeff Walling!  The Fact is that The Campbells were Reformed Baptists and converted most to The Church of Christ. The Church of Christ were NEVER "UNITED" in any sense with the Disciples--Christian Churches.

Alexander Campbell said there could be NO unity before the 1832 meeting. Barton W. Stone boasted that a few men had JOINED the movements and yet said there could be no unity with the Campbells unless they changed the name to Christians and affirmed that people could be saved without baptism. Therefore, the 1906 statement is a falsehood and people attempt to UNITE ANTI-instrumental churches of Christ by forcing them to AFFIRM or CONFORM to the instrumental positions.

Jeff Walling: But the two groups have common roots. [not remotely true]

"I have struggled mightily with this. Not this moment, as much as getting to this moment over the last 20-plus years," said Walling, the pulpit minister for the Providence Road Church of Christ in Charlotte, N.C., during the Tulsa International Soul Winning Workshop. The annual meeting is one of the nation's largest gatherings for Churches of Christ members.

This year's workshop included independent Christian speakers, and prominent preachers from both groups shared keynote addresse

In 2004, the board of elders at an independent Christian church in suburban Seattle voted to merge with a nearby Church of Christ, a move the latter congregation's elders supported.

"Why did we get together? Because God wanted us to do it," said Milton Jones, the preaching minister at what is now known as the Northwest Church. "We were just trying to do what God wants us to do. We didn't feel like we had much of a choice."

Yes, there goes my 'Investment with the Lord." Milton Jones  mislead by Mike Cope etal achieved the NACC unity by lying about every "instrument passage" in recorded history. In all cases of unity--even if it takes almost three decades--the Purpose Driven Purpose is to "infiltrate and divert" a peaceable Church of Christ and turn it into a "christian Church." Milton Jones Came to Seattle with a VANGUARD Purpose Driven Goal.  He used the "proof texts" promoted before the NACC by O.E.Payne.  His list of psallo passages tempted a few instrumental churches to infiltrate the book into non-instrumental preachers. They lurched into a debate with N.B.Hardeman using Boswell on the word PSALLO
Of course, when you intend to SOW discord to justify being an INSTRUMENTAL SECT, you probably do blaspheme the Holy Spirit OF Christ by saying that He and Paul and recorded history before the Disciples in 1878 were TOO IGNORANT to know that the UNIVERSAL pattern is this:

The NACC has continued it's "unity meetings" but coming ready with a white paper listing all of the instruments by the Jacob-cursed and God-abandoned Levites proving that the 'Jews worshipped with instrumental music and God never changed His mind."
"During a panel discussion, which was moderated by Church Northrop  a question was asked about the scripturalness of instrumental music in worship. Northrop correctly affirmed such was not authorized and showed from Ephesians 5:19 and other Scriptures that acappella music is authorized.
At this point Walling, who was not on the panel, came to the platform
and in the presence of the young people literally pushed Northrop away from the podium
and declared instrumental music in worship is simply 'a matter of opinion...a gray area.'
Walling has continued to advocate that same position over the years.
Since Jeff derides Scripture and is "Led by the Lord" his RESPONSE to define  scripturalness DEMANDED that he quote a Scripture passage related to the Qahal, synagogue, ekklesia or Church of Christ (the ROCK) in the wilderness.

Since PSALLO was first used by the Disciples and Christian Churches as late as 1878 trying to justify the sectarianism, and is still used by some DEEP SEATED urge to use all available means and resources to FORCE instruments into churches of Christ who never recorded history knew that they were FORBIDDEN for those not decent and reverent enough to sit down and let the Spirit OF Christ speak for Himself.

Psallo is never and can never mean both PLUCK and A STRING which at the  ROOT is used to shoot a literal arrow or a Love Arrow.  The Psao words were used when the Septuagint or LXX was translated because they understood that the praises or "halals" were WARRIOR'S chants and intended to THREATEN the enemy if that did not turn coward and run they would be SODOMIZED and then killed to prove SUPERIORITY.
THE LATIN WORD -Psalmus , i, m., = psalmos, i. q. psalma,
I. a psalm (eccl. Lat.; cf.: carmen, hymnus), Vulg. Isa. 38, 20.--Esp., the Psalms of David

Other than SPEAKING that which is written for our LEARNING (not pagan worship) these PSAO (root of SOP) words point directly to the Apollo (Abaddon, Apollyon) from Egypt, Mount Sinai and in a church near you. His Musical Worship Girls (Muses Rev 18) were the LOCUSTS, sorcerers and dirty adulteresses.

The burdens or carmen:

Carmen   declaim, praise; cf.: camilla, censeo], a tune, song; poem, verse; an oracular response, a prophecy; a form of incantation
1. In gen., a tune, song, air, lay, strain, note, sound, both vocal and instrumental (mostly poet.; in prose, instead of it, cantus; Also the sound of waves,

4. A response of an oracle, a prophecy, prediction
5. A magic formula, an incantation used by Circe (church)

CHURCH: Circus , i, m., = kirkos [kindr. with krikos; Dor. kirkos, and korτnκ; cf.: kulindeτ, kullos, cirrus, curvus]. In or around the Circus many jugglers and soothsayers, etc., stationed themselves;

6. On account of the very ancient practice of composing forms of religion and law in Saturnian verse, also a formula in religion or law, a form:

ALL recorded history would use Pluck + a NAMED instrument which would not include a melody or rhythm.
OF: you MUST use compound words each instrument having a DEDICATED word. FOR INSTANCE:

-Psalmos , ho, twitching or twanging with the fingers, psalmoi toxτn E.Ion173 (lyr.); toxκrei psalmτi [toxeusas] Id.HF1064 (lyr.).
2. the sound of the cithara or harp, Pi.Fr.125, cf. Phryn.Trag.11; “psalmos d' alalazei” A.Fr.57.7 (anap.); there were contests in to psallein,

Eur. Ion 144 [170] Ah, ah! what is this new bird that approaches; you will not place under the cornice a straw-built nest for your children, will you? My singing bow will keep you off. Will you not obey? [175] Go away and bring up your offspring by the eddies of Alpheus, or go to the Isthmian grove, so that the offerings, and the temple of Phoebus, are not harmed. . . . and yet I am ashamed to kill you, [180] for to mortals you bear the messages of the gods; but I will be subject to Phoebus in my appointed tasks, and I will never cease my service to those who nourish me.

Psalmos also appears in the LXX as equivalent to the Hebrew word neginah [5058]. This Hebrew term is used to describe a wide variety of songs. Neginah is translated by psalmos in Lam 3:14 (song), in Lam 5:14 (music) and in Ps 69:12 (song). It is striking to observe that in the LXX translation of Lam 3:14 and Ps 69:12, psalmos, or its verbal form, is used for songs that are not only uninspired but are in fact the product of the wicked, even drunkards, who mocked God and His word. The Hebrew term neginah is used elsewhere in the Hebrew Scriptures of: the songs of the wicked, Job 30:9 (song); the inspired praise of God, Psalm 61 title (Neginah-a song performed on a stringed instrument); and the uninspired praisd of the Lord composed by King Hezekiah, Is 38:20 (my songs).

DO YOU WANT TO SAY THAT THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST, JESUS AND ALL RECORDED HISTORIANS WERE JUST FLAT OUT LIARS?  Why do you think people are DESTINED to TWIST the psallo words intending to SOW DISCORD and offend everyone (Jeff walling) when in Tom Burgess' list of PLUCKING words it always applies to older males plucking the harp trying to seduce the youth minsisters of the Mother Goddess?

Galliambus
, i, m. [3. Gallus, II. A.] , a song of the priests [a castratos] of Cybele

"Philodemus considered it paradoxical that music should be regarded as veneration of the gods while musicians were paid for performing this so-called veneration. Again, Philodemus held as self deceptive the view that music mediated religious ecstasy. He saw the entire condition induced by the noise of cymbals and tambourines as a disturbance of the spirit.

He found it significant that, on the whole, only women and effeminate men fell into this folly.

Accordingly, nothing of value could be attributed to music; it was no more than a slave of the sensation of pleasure, which satisfied much in the same way that food and drink did.

"Women and girls from the different ranks of society were proud to enter the service of the gods as singers and musicians. The understanding of this service was universal: these singers constituted the 'harem of the gods'." (Fr. Johannes Quasten)

How to use music to make men into women: Heredotus

Rhea is EVE and Paul outlaws women PERFORMERS based on the widespread use of EVE (Zoe) as the only mediatrixEvah is defined as the abomination when women perform in the holy places which Christ restricted to being A School of the Word to be PREACHED by being READ.  Any kind of exciting presentation is in history the MARK of the Sophia-Zoe (Eve) effeminate breakout which Paul called WRATH or ORGY.

Commentary on Catullius, Poem 63   The self-mutilation and subsequent lament of Attis, a priest of Cybele. The centre of the worship of the Phrygian Kubelē or Kubēbē, was in very ancient times the town of Pessinus in Galatian Phrygia, at the foot of Mt. Dindymus, from which the goddess received the name Dindymene. Cybele had early become identified with the Cretan divinity Rhea, the Mother of the Gods, and to some extent with Demeter, the search of Cyhele for Attis being compared with that of Demeter for Persephone. The especial worship of Cybele was conducted by emasculated priests called Galli (or, as in vv. 12 and 34, with reference to their physical condition, Gallae). Their name was derived by the ancients from that of the river Gallus, a tributary of the Sangarius, by drinking from which men became inspired with frenzy (cf. Ov. Fast. 4.361ff.

The worship was orgiastic in the extreme, and was accompanied by the sound of such frenzy-producing instruments as the tympana, cymbala, tibiae, and cornu, and culminated in scourging, self-mutilation, syncope from excitement (fainting from losss of blood to the head). and even death from hemorrhage or heart-failure. The worship of the Magna Mater, or Mater Idaea, as she was often called (perhaps from identification with Rhea of the Cretan Mt. Ida rather than from the Trojan Mt. Ida), was introduced into Rome in 205 B.C. in accordance with a Sibylline oracle which foretold that only so couldβ foreign enemy (i.e. Hannibal) be driven from Italy. Livy 29.10, Livy 29.14)

BLASPHEMY COMES AUTOMATICALLY TO PEOPLE WHO REJECT "SCRIPTURE" AND ARE LEAD BY THE LORD!!

The OPINION of especially the Spirit OF Christ in the prophets, the definition of ekklesia or synagogue, the teachings of the Apostles clearly identifying any of the hypocritic arts: Jesus called the Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites. The Ezekiel reference identifies speakers, singers and instrument players. These are the MARK of people who will not teach that which is written for our learning.

One has no right to an OPINION when there is not a command, example or inference of congregational singing with instruments in the Bible or recorded history before men like John Calvin permitted some of the psalms (only) to be set to a simple meter for unison singing. Since there is no metrical material in that which is commaned to be taught, one would have to HALLUCINATE in order to find any music in any sense.

Jeff Walling has mocked the Churches of Christ which feeds him for rejecting instruments. Consistent with most churches handled by the NACC it has taken one or two decades to change the structure of THEIR church before they dared introduce instruments.

Rick Atchley and Chris Seidman defend their being led by the NACC to impose instruments and sow massive discord.
Back in the 80’s you could go to any major city, especially in the South, and you could find a progressive Church of Christ — and if they would preach grace, and if they would put words on a screen, and if they would let divorced people place membership, they would grow.

The generation of Boomers has enough denominational loyalty that they’re going to find the least legalistic

Well, we discipled the children of those progressive churches
for a whole generation to grow past us Boomers.
They never heard the sermons we heard.
They never heard the rationale for a cappella music.

We sent them to youth rallies and Church of Christ events
with some of the finest Christian bands in the world.

We discipled our children to leave our Movement!
That is why all of the "music" terms and names of Instruments points to adulterers, sorcerers or witchcraft.
A Church of Christ is A School of Christ defined in the wilderness:
it was INCLUSIVE of Rest, Reading and Rehearsing the Word.
It was EXCLUSIVE "of vocal or instrumental rejoicing or rhetoric."

THE UNIVERSAL MARK OF WOMEN OR EFFEMINATE MALES IS RELIGIOUS SINGING AND PLAYING.

Arnobius
Was it for this He sent souls, that some should infest the highways and roads, others ensnare the unwary, forge (substitute) false wills, prepare poisoned draughts; that they should break open houses by night, tamper with slaves, steal and drive away, not act uprightly, and betray their trust perfidiously; that they should strike out delicate dainties for the palate; that in cooking fowls they should know how to catch the fat as it drips; that they should make cracknels and sausages, force-meats, tit-bits, Lucanian sausages, with a sow's udder and iced (frozen) puddings?

Was it for this He sent souls, that beings (things) of a sacred and august race should here practise singing and piping;

that they should swell out their cheeks in blowing the flute; that they should take the lead in singing impure songs, and raising the loud din of the castanets, (Scabilla: feet castinets) by which another crowd of souls should be led in their wantonness to abandon themselves to clumsy motions, to dance and sing, form rings of dancers, and finally, raising their haunches and hips, float along with a tremulous motion of the loins?

Was it for this He sent souls, that in men they should become impure, in women harlots, players on the triangle (Sambuca: stringed instrument) and psaltery; that they should prostitute their bodies for hire,

should abandon themselves to the lust of all, ready in the brothels, to be met with in the stews, ready to submit to anything, prepared to do violence to their mouth even?

If you missed Exodus 31-32 getting your Phd I am sorry. However, it you blaspheme the Holy Spirit of Christ ignorance will be no excuse.  There are many "instrumental" passages which mark the FALL from grace by those who refused to hear the Word of God: each of then end without lots of people being consumed with fire and Christ in Isaiah 30 and John in Revelation 17-19 warns about the same Babylon Mother of Harlots. In Revelation 18 she uses "lusted after fruits" which are also blamed by Amos in the instrumental worship in the holy places.  They always seem to be cast alive into a lake of fire.

It was after the fall from grace at Mount Sinai that God "turned the nation over to worship the starry host."  Since these people reject Scripture and are led by some kind of "spirit" it is logical that no level of "scholarship" can prevent them from misleading the youth.

Stephen was murdered for repeating Christ in the prophets that God did NOT command the Civil-Military-Clergy complex, animal sacrifices or the instrumental noise which was exorcism.
Musical idolatry of the Egyptian (etal) trinity under Apis the golden calf was BEYOND redemption. Cod sentenced them to return to beyond Babylon.  He gave the Jacob-cursed, God-Abandoned and the Instrumentalist PATTERN Levites to execute any godly person who came near any of the Egyptian, Greek, Canaanite and Babylonian sacrificial system.  Female prophesying which the "scholars" are trying to restore were called soothsayers (Mirian, Levites) or Sorcerers (Revelation 18)

Acts 7:41 And they made a calf in those days,
and offered sacrifice unto the idol,
and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.

The sin says Stephen in Acts 7 was:

yet being specially “gifted by nature'' and being full of craft and guile, is the class out of which are manufactured many diviners and experts in all manner of jugglery; and from it, too, there spring sometimes tyrants and demagogues and generals, and those who plot by means of peculiar mystic rites of their own, and the devices of those who are called “sophists.” Of these there may be many kinds;

The charge that trying to inform people about the wickedness of IMPOSING musical instruments by claiming that God COMMANDED it is called judging. Judging, as we might imagine, is done by those intending to RETRAIN all of the young preachers to join the Instrumental Band.

Whoever posted the charge should respond if he has any evidence to support deliberately sowing massive discord to make a place in the mainstream for that which excites and disgusts at the same time.

All of the JUDGING has been done over a decade-long planned agenda to deprive young preachers of the truth about instrumental music. Counting the numbers involved, the "unity" agenda has spread more judgmentalism than in recorded history. Anyone who sees "music" as an adjunct to the Word of Christ in the Prophets and Apostles, when there is no command, example or remote inference of anyone in the Bible or before the Reformation to SING congregationally with or without instruments is just FABRICATING.

If you don't know that Jesus, Paul and Peter SAT DOWN all of the Scribes and pharisess, hypocrites (speakers, singers and instrument players in Ezekiel 33) to make the EKKLESIA of Christ remotely possible then you simply have never read the Bible beyond passing tests or gittin up sermons. If you say that God approved of instrumentts when the Spirit OF Christ denied it then Christ defines that as blaspheming the Holy Spirit OF Christ.

1. To say that those who refuse to be FORCED into something they have never done in the 2. Bible and recorded history of the Church of Christ are TRADITIONALISTS
--if done on a private level is ignorance:
--if done publically to demean others is lying about God, to God and godly people.

3. If people in high places say that REJECTING others efforts to IMPOSE musical worship teamss(a heresy) are SECTARIAN (heretics) then they INTENTIONALLY pass judgment on those who have the Word and recorded history on their side.

1. If you say that God COMMANDED INSTRUMENTAL praise because you SAY God commanded the Levites as Musical Worship Ministers for animal sacrifices.
2. When Scripture teaches them as Jacob-cursed, God-abandoned to worship the STARRY HOST
3. When the proof text says that DAVID commanded the NOISE and God commanded the Levites to prophesy as SOOTHSAYERS to EXECUTE any one not connected with the God-abandoned sacrificial system.
4. The the Spirit Of Christ in Jeremiah says that they Despise or BLASPHEME the Holy Spirit of Christ who inspired the prophets.

1. If they claim that a spirit commanded you to IMPOSE "instrumental praise."
2. And God did not command instrumental praise
3. The the Spirit OF Christ calls you a Blasphemer. If you need a second opinion you are hated because Amos warns about bringing music into the holy places. If you need a third opinion God HATES you because you plan to sow massive discord seeing godliness as a means of financial gain (profession).

1. If you say that MAKING MUSIC in the ekklesia-synagogue AIDS Jesus
2. When The ekklesia--synagogue ordained in the wilderness EXCLUDED "vocal or instrumental rejoicing."
3. Then, you intentional violate the direct command of Christ, the historical practice of the Jews, the approved example of Jesus, the command of Jesus in coming to be THE only Spirit teacher of HIS ekklesia or assembly. As well as almost 4 centuries before anyone decided to sow discord by ADDING singing as an ACT of liturgy.

1. If you say that Christ commanded a LAW of Lay By in Store to FINANCE this foolishness.
2. When Jesus paid it all and Paul said it was NOT a command even for the destitute
3. Then Paul and common decency says that you are an EXTORTIONIST.

1. If you say that you have AUTHORITY to fabricate your own songs and sermons
2. When the Spirit OF Christ outlawed SPEAKING YOUR OWN WORDS.

Christ in Isaiah 50 defined Messiah's future MUSICAL MOCKING
Christ in Isaiah 55 outlawed spending your bread money for the Free Water of the Word which Jeff Walling rejects. Christ identified the WORD as SPIRIT or the Mind of Christ
Christ in Isaiah 57 affirms the Law of Silence which silences Jeff Walling and everyone. It also repudiates instrumental MOCKING.
Christ in Isaiah 58 outlawed seeking your own pleasure or speaking your own Words. That is His way to Restore the Old Paths.

3. And the ELDERS as pastor-teachers are limited to "teaching that which has been taught"
Then you are ANTI-Christian because you have no intention of obeying the ONLY pattern for assemblying as A School of the Word.

You are free to consult any scholar to refute my assertions which any disciple can prove and is the opinion of the Holy Spirit OF Christ: I don't make up things and I don't try to sell my OWN words claiming to be a minister of Christ.

IMPOSING INSTRUMENTS IS THE MEANING OF PASSING JUDGMENT

Luke 6:36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
Luke 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Firing the commanded vocational deacons and hiring Special Servants as Deaconesses is JUDGING that the direct command for Elders and deacons is now obsolete. These are always PICKED OUT by the "Senior Pastor" and are JUDGED to be better than women who have historically trained the children--without pay.

JUDGE is: 5. expound, interpret in a particular way, [dreams, visions]  “to enupnion tautē ekrinan” Hdt. 1.120, cf. 7.19, A.Pr.485,

Instruments have been imposed under the claim of a Vision, a spirit voice or audible boices.
Hdt. 1.120 Thus Astyages punished Harpagus. But, to help him to decide about Cyrus, he summoned the same Magi who had interpreted his dream as I have said: and when they came, Astyages asked them how they had interpreted his dream.

Aesch. PB 472 And I marked out many ways by which they might read the future, [485] and among dreams I first discerned which are destined to come true; and voices baffling interpretation I explained to them, and signs from chance meetings.

The Prophets by the Spirit OF Christ and made more certain by Jesus and left for out memory by Peter and others is not subject to JUDGING.

2Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

That means no FURTHER EXPOUNDING which would identify one as a False Teacher.

JUDGING is deciding that musical performers which are of the HYPOCRITIC craft can INTERPRET the Words of Christ by COMPOSING their own songs and sermons. THEY pass judgment that they have the right to take a hint from Christ and ignore His Words.

Music, rhetoric or drama JUDGES that a slight REpresentation is superior to your "reading that which is written for YOUR learning.

Phaedrus 244d The ancients, then testify that in proportion as prophecy (mantike) is superior to augury, both in name and in fact, in the same proportion madness, which comes from god, is superior to sanity, which is of human origin. Moreover, when diseases and the greatest troubles have been visited upon certain families through some ancient guilt, madness

[244e] has entered in and by oracular power has found a way of release for those in need, taking refuge in prayers and the service of the gods, and so, by purifications and sacred rites, he who has this madness is made safe for the present and the after time, and for him who is rightly possessed of madness a release from present

[245a] ills is found.  And a third kind of possession and madness comes from the Muses. This takes hold upon a gentle and pure soul, arouses it and inspires it to songs and other poetry, and thus by adorning countless deeds of the ancients educates later generations. But he who without the divine madness comes to the doors of the Muses, confident that he will be a good poet by art, meets with no success, and the poetry of the sane man vanishes into nothingness before that of the inspired madmen.

If you speak in tongues won't they say that you are MAD?
