Jesus Christ is God Come in The Flesh

Preacher: "I must tell you that I am concerned about some of your statements.  [So is my lovely wife of 66 years]
 For the sake of clarification., please let me ask a couple questions.
Q. Do you believe that Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh (John 1:14; Col. 2:9)?

A. No. I believe that Jesus was born IN THE FLESH about 30 years before he was "Sanctified and sent into the World." It was then that God MADE Jesus to be both Lord and Christ. He must be the seed of a woman, Abraham and David to be the MESSIAH or CHRIST and was from among His brethren. All of our spirits return to God. All Disciples who "continue in My Word", according to Jesus are HIS DISCIPLES OR CHRISTIANS.  They are sons FROM God IN the visible Kosmos as the ecumenical kingdom of the Devil making war with the kingdom of God.  Their kingdom does not appear as a popular class.

IN the world but not OF this World: Pilgrims and sojourners!

MY RESPONSES

OLD TESTAEMENT
, JESUS, JOHN AND PAUL: THERE IS ONLY ONE LORD GOD.

AT LEAST 45 TIMES GOD IS RECORDED TO SAY THAT THERE IS ONE GOD,
NONE APART NOR BESIDES HIM; None BEFORE Him and None after Him. It is dangerous to believe that God was not smart enough to avoid all of the absolutes nor assert in very clear terms that God's Mind, Breath and Word are separate persons in the sense of "people."

Deut. 4:35 Unto thee it was shewed,
        that thou mightest know that the
        Lord [YHWH] he is God [ELOHIM]; there is NONE else beside HIM.

Is. 43:3 For  I am THE Lord [YHWH] thy God,  THE Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour:

I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
Is. 44:6 Thus saith the Lord [YHWH] the King OF Israel,
        and his  [Israels] redeemer the Lord of hosts;
        I AM  THE first, and
I AM  THE last;
        and beside me there is no God.
Is. 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord [YHWH],
        and my SERVANT whom I have CHOSEN.
        that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I AM HE:
        before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
Is. 43:11
I,  even  I, am THE Lord; [YHWH] and BESIDE me there is no saviour.
GOD NEEDS NO "INTERCESSOR" TO SPEAK TO MOSES AS PROPHET

Ex. 4:15 And thou shalt SPEAK unto him,
        and put WORDS in his
MOUTH
        and I will be with thy
MOUTH
       and with his MOUTH, and will TEACH you what ye shall do.
Deut. 18:18 I will raise them up a PROPHET from among their brethren, like unto thee,
        and will put my
WORDS in his MOUTH;
        and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
 SPIRIT MEANT THAT JESUS "SPEAKETH THE WORDS OF GOD."

John 3:31 He that cometh from above is ABOVE ALL:
     he that is of the EARTH is earthly, and speaketh of the earth:
     he that cometh from heaven is above all.
John 3:32 And what he hath seen and heard,
      that he testifieth; and no man RECEIVED HIS TESTIMONY
John 3:33 He that hath
RECEIVED HIS TESTIMONY
       hath set to his seal that God is true.
John 3:34 For he whom GOD hath sent SPEAKETH the WORDS of God:
      FOR God giveth not the SPIRIT by measure [metron, meter, music?] unto him.

Jesus SPEAKS the WORDS of GOD
For [enim]: What I mean is that "GOD gives the SPIRIT in PROSE."
This is the ANTITHESIS of Pagans

Plato Ion 534a continues to speak of the female musical worship team - the Muses: For all the good epic poets utter all those fine poems not from art, but as inspired and possessed, and the good lyric poets likewise; [534a] just as... the Corybantian worshippers do not dance when in their senses,

    so the lyric poets do not indite those fine songs in their senses,
    but when they have started on the
melody and rhythm
    they
begin to be frantic, and it is under possession--
         as the bacchants are possessed, and
not in their senses,
         when they
draw honey and milk from the rivers--
         that the soul of the lyric poets does the same thing, by their own report.

For the poets tell us, I believe, that the songs they bring us are the sweets they cull from honey-dropping founts [534b] in certain gardens and glades of the Muses-- like the bees, and winging the air as these do.1 And what they tell is true.

"For a poet is a light and winged and sacred thing, and is unable ever to indite until he has been inspired and put out of his senses, and his mind is no longer in him: every man, whilst he retains possession of that, is powerless to indite a verse or chant an oracle. Seeing then that it is not by art that they compose and utter so many fine things about the deeds of men--

The Corybantes were priests of Cybele or Rhea, mother of Zeus and other Olympian gods, and she was worshipped with wild music and frenzied dancing which, like the bacchic revels or orgies of women in honor of Dionysus, carried away the participants despite and beyond themselves. Cf. Eurip. Bacchae.

Had he learned by rules of art, he would have known how to speak not of one theme only, but of all; and therefore

god takes away the minds of poets,
and uses them as
his ministers,
as he also uses
diviners and holy prophetess,
in order that we who hear them may know them to be speaking not of themselves who utter these priceless words in a
state of unconsciousness, but that god himself is the speaker, and that through them he is conversing with us.

John3:35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given ALL THINGS into his hand.
Luke 10:22 ALL THINGS, are delivered to me of my Father:
        and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father;
and who the Father is, but the Son,

 INSPIRATION MEANS THAT GOD "BREATHES" HIS WORD WITHOUT ANOTHER GOD AS HELPER.

HISTORICAL SCHOLARS, THOMAS CAMPBELL, PRE-H.LEO.BOLES AND ME

SEVERAL BIBLE SCHOLARS USED THE "TRIAS" WORD. THE GNOSTICS DENIED THAT GOD COULD USE A MAN TO WORK HIS WILL.

Theophilus.Autolycus.II.html Chapter IX.-The Prophet's Inspired by the Holy Ghost.

But men of God  carrying in them A holy spirit and becoming prophets, being inspired and made wise by God, became God-taught, and holy, and righteous.

Wherefore they were also deemed worthy of receiving this reward, that they should become
instruments of God, and contain the wisdom that is from Him,
through which wisdom they uttered both
what regarded the creation of the world and all other things.

Chapter X.

And first, they taught us with one consent that God made all things out of nothing;
        for nothing was coeval with God: but
        He being His own place,
and wanting nothing,
........and existing before the ages, willed to make man by whom He might be known;
........for him, therefore, He prepared the world.
........For he that is created is also needy; but he that is uncreated stands in need of nothing.

God, then, having His own Word internal within His own bowels,
........... begat Him, emitting Him
........... along with His own wisdom before all things.

He had this Word as a helper in the things that were created by Him, and by Him He made all things.

He is called "governing principle" [LOGOS], because He rules, and is Lord of all things fashioned by Him.
He, then, being
Spirit of God,
        and governing
principle [Word or Logos]
        and
wisdom,
        and
power of the highest,
        came down upon the prophets
,
        and through them spoke of the creation of the world and of all other things.
(

      This was the Spirit of Christ, 1 Peter 1:11; Revelation 19:10)

For the prophets were not when the world came into existence,

BUT, the wisdom [Spirit in this instance is Sophia] of God which was in Him, and
His holy Word which was always present with Him.

Psa. 33:6 By the [1] WORD of the LORD were the heavens made;
        and all the host of them by the
[2] BREATH [h7307 ruwach SPIRIT] of his [3] MOUTH.
Psa. 33:9 For he SPAKE, and it was done; he COMMANDED, and it stood fast.

THE SECOND TO USE "TRIAS"
Tertullian.Praxeas.html
Not that this distinction is of any practical moment.
        For although God had not yet sent out His Word,
        He still had Him within Himself,
        both in company with and
        included within His very Reason,
        as He silently planned and arranged within Himself
        everything which He was afterwards about to UTTER through His Word.

Now, whilst He was thus planning and arranging with His own Reason
He was actually causing that to become Word
which He was dealing with in the way of Word or Discourse.

Tertullian an inventor of trias: But, first, I shall discuss His essential nature, and so the nature of His birth will be understood. We have already asserted that

God made the world, and all which it contains,
         by His Word, and Reason, and Power.

 It is abundantly plain that your philosophers, too,
 regard the
Logos-that is, the Word and Reason-
         as the
Creator of the universe.

And we, in like manner, hold that the Word, and Reason, and Power,
by which we have said God made all,

have spirit as their proper and essential
      substratum
,
I
n which the Word has in being to give forth utterances,
....and reason abides to dispose and arrange,
....and power is over all to execute.
We have been taught that
He (reason) proceeds forth from God,

and
in that procession He is generated;
so that He is the Son of God,
and is called God from unity of substance with God. For God, too, is a Spirit.

Even when the ray is shot from the sun,
....it is still part of the parent mass; the sun will still be in the
          ray, because it is a ray of the sun-
....there is no division of substance,
          but
merely an extension.

Thus Christ is Spirit OF Spirit, and God OF God, as light OF light is kindled.

The material matrix remains
entire and unimpaired,
though you derive from it
any number of shoots possessed of its qualities;

so, too, that which has come forth out of God
is at once God and the Son of God
, and the two are one. In this way also, as He is Spirit of Spirit and God of God,

He is made a second in manner of existence-in position, not in nature;and He did not withdraw from the original source, but went forth.
This ray of God, then, as it was always foretold in ancient times, descending into a certain virgin, and made flesh in her womb,
....is in His birth God AND man united.

He is prophesied as emmanuel an eloyhin and not JEHOVAH
.

Campbell, Thomas, Trinity The relationship of Word to God was the same as the relationship
    of a word to a thought.
And so this is the most common understanding among the church fathers. The the word is the SON of the speaker as FATHER
     then there is a problem trying to sort out how a LITERAL son of god could be equal with the Father or of the same age.

1st. A word is a sign or representative of a thought or an idea
and is the idea in an
audible or visible form.
It is the exact image of that invisible thought
which is a perfect
secret to all the world until it is expressed.

2d. All men think or form ideas by means of words or images; so that no man can think without words or symbols of some sort.

3d. Hence it follows that the word and the idea which it represents,
        are
co-etaneous, or of the same age or antiquity.
........It is true the word may not be uttered or born
        for years or ages after the idea exists,
........but still the word is just as old as the idea.

4th. The idea and the word are nevertheless distinct from each other, though the relation between them is the nearest known on earth.
........An idea cannot exist without a word
        nor a word without an idea.

5th. He that is acquainted with the word, is acquainted with the idea
        for the idea is
wholly in the word.

By putting together the above remarks on the term word,
we have a full view of what John intended to communicate.

As a
word is an exact image of an idea,
so is "The Word" an exact image of the invisible God.

As a word cannot exist without an idea, nor an idea without a word,
        so
God never was without "The Word,"
        nor "The Word" without God;

or as a word is of equal age, or co-etaneous with its idea,
        so "
The Word" and God are co-eternal.

1Pet. 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit,unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Alexander.Campbell.Purified.A.Holy.Spirit.html

This is...understood by every attentive reader. The original phrase is hagiasmos pneumatos, and is found only in II. Thess. ii. 13; I. Pet. i. 2. In both places it appears to refer to the sanctification of the spirit of believers.   It is literally rendered "sanctification [or holiness] of spirit." There is no article in the original and no epithet that suggests the Holy Spirit in either passage....God has chosen men to salvation through (or by) holiness of spirit;not through the holiness of his Spirit, but through the holiness of THEIR spirit.

Walter Scott wrote   Again--Some will say, What does the expression Holy Spirit mean? Well, in scriptureit stands first for God the Holy Spirit and secondly for the HOLY MIND or SPIRIT of A believer-

for illustration, take Peter's words to Ananias, "Why has Satan tempted you to lie to the Holy Spirit; you have not lied to men, but to God," (the Holy Spirit.)

When do we know that we are born of the Spirit?
        I answer, when we know that our spirits are holy.
But it will be asked again, when do we know this?
I reply, when we behold our minds producing the fruits of A holy spirit.

WORD, GRACE, LIGHT, WISDOM, SPIRIT ARE NOT GODS.

GOD IS HIS WORD: JESUS SPOKE GOD'S OWN WORDS
GOD APPEARED AS GRACE TEACHING: GRACE BY JESUS IS NOT ANOTHER GOD.
GOD APPEARED AS LIGHT: JESUS AS LIGHT IS NOT ANOTHER GOD.

        even to them that believe on his name: [pisteuo or pistis includes to comply]
John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

THE WORDS OF GOD CAME IN THE FLESH JOHN 1:14

With the greatest respect:
A. No. The WORD of God became flesh: visible and audible when Jesus spake what GOD taught Him.

First
: God and His Spirit and Jesus was smart and open enough to have said "I am Jehovah the Father."
Second: to the contrary, over and over Jesus makes it clear that He had nothing to say except the Father working with Him. Note below that He didn't even have eternal LIFE within Himself
Third: More Later-words translate as SPIRIT in Hebrew, Greek Latin and in English, is never applied to a god or man.

Jesus often speaks of [1] himself, [2] His WORD and [3] God His Father Who breaths or inspired Holy Scripture
Spirit is in connection with God the Father revealing His Words to Moses, Elijah and for the last days God's SON
.

THE REASON THAT GOD HAS NOT COME IN THE FLESH?

1John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not
        that JESUS CHRIST IS COME IN THE FLESH is not of God:
        and this is that spirit of antichrist,
        whereof ye have heard that it should come;
        and even now already is it in the world
.

Cor. 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks,
        Christ the POWER
OF God, and the WISDOM OF  God.
1Cor. 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus,
        who
OF God is MADE unto us WISDOM ,
        and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
Eph. 1:17 That the GOD [Theos] OF our LORD [Kurios] Jesus Christ,
        the Father of glory,

        may give unto you the SPIRIT OF WISDOM and REVELATION
        in the KNOWLEDGE of him:
John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not;
        for I am not yet ascended to my Father:
        but go to my brethren, and say unto them,
        I ascend unto MY FATHER, and YOUR FATHER
        and to MY GOD, and YOUR GOD.

Col. 1:28 Whom we preach, warning every man,
        and TEACHING every man in all
WISDOM;
        that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
Col. 3:16 Let the WORD
OF Christ
        dwell in you richly in all
WISDOM;
        TEACHING and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
        singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
AND: John 6:63 It is the SPIRIT that quickeneth;
        the flesh profiteth nothing:
        the
WORDS that I SPEAK unto you,
        they are
SPIRIT, and they are life.
John understood that in his world, Hermes the god was the LOGOS. Hermes created Apollon's harp; he was the INTERCESSOR and conducted defunct spirits into the netherworld. He was the god of liars and thieves and was, like Jochin and Boaz as Phallic symbols.  Theses were the sign of OPEN FOR BUSINESS. Hermeneutics, little known, uses demons as spirit guides.
John 8:25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou?
        And Jesus saith unto them,
        Even the same that I said unto you from the BEGINNING.
God inspired John to use LOGOS which is NOT a god but is God's Regulative and Governing principle. John could have, but didn't, say that "God is come in the flesh."
princĭpĭo , God has no BEGINNING.

2. FIRST ELEMENT, element, first so used by Anaximander,
The WORD or LOGOS is defined as God's Regulative and Governing Principe.
God's WORD is what God breathed (spirit inspiration) into Jesus so that He claimed that He had no words nor authority other that that delegated to him as the promised SEED of Abraham an David.  Christ existed in prophecy and promise before Abraham.
Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him,
        The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel;
        THE Lord our God is ONE LORD:
Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love
THE Lord thy God with all thy heart,
        and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind,
        and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Mark 12:32 And the scribe said unto him,
        Well, Master, thou hast said the truth:
        for there is ONE ELSE;
        and there is NONE [absolute denial] other but HE:
Mark 12:33 And to love HIMSELF with all the heart, and with all the understanding,
        and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself,
        is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not;
        for I AM not yet ascended to MY FATHER:
        but go to my BRETHREN, and say unto them,
        I ascend unto MY FATHER, AND YOUR Father;
        and to MY God, and YOUR God.

         thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble
Verbum or Logos is always what God speaks.
I APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT YOU SPEAK THE WORD, DO NOT TELL JOKES, NOR SPEAK ABOUT YOURSELF!

Jer. 10:1 Hear ye the WORD which the LORD SPEAKETH unto you, O house of Israel:

Is. 59:20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion,

Is. 59:21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD;
        My SPIRIT that is upon thee,
        and my WORDS which I have PUT IN THY MOUTH.
        SHALL NOT depart out of thy
MOUTH,
        nor out of the mouth of thy seed,
        nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.

THE WORD WAS WITH GOD AND THE WORD WAS GOD: SCHOLAR'S COMMENTS

Q.and the WORD was with God, and the Word was God.
Note below: God always has His WORD AND WISDOM with him.

Chapter X.

And first, they taught us with one consent that God made all things out of nothing;
        for nothing was coeval with God: but
        He being His own place,
and wanting nothing,
........and existing before the ages, willed to make man by whom He might be known;
........for him, therefore, He prepared the world.
........For he that is created is also needy; but he that is uncreated stands in need of nothing.

Psa. 33:6 By the [1] WORD of the LORD were the heavens made;
        and all the host of them by the
[2] BREATH [h7307 ruwach SPIRIT] of his [3] MOUTH.

We have been taught that
He (reason) proceeds forth from God,

and
in that procession He is generated;
so that He is the Son of God,
and is called God from unity of substance with God.

The material matrix remains
entire and unimpaired,
though you derive from it
any number of shoots possessed of its qualities;

so, too, that which has come forth out of God
is at once God and the Son of God
, and the two are one.

As a word cannot exist without an idea, nor an idea without a word,
        so
God never was without "The Word,"
        nor "The Word" without God;

or as a word is of equal age, or co-etaneous with its idea,
        so "
The Word" and God are co-eternal.

JEHOVAH-ELOYHIN (Deut 6:4) ALONE IS THE ETERNAL LIVING GOD.

In all of heaven and earth, there is only one Divine Nature—the eternal God (cf. Deut. 6:4; 1 Cor. 8:4). The Scriptures teach that only 3 Persons share/possess this one Divine Nature:

THE SHEMA

Dt 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD [YHWH] our God  [Elohiym] is one LORD:

Dt 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD [YHWH] thy God [Elohiym] with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Dt 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
Dt 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children,
        and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way,
        and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

Dt 6:8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

Dt 6:9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

Jesus confirmed the Shema to permit only ONE god:

Mark 12:28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together,
        and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him,
        Which is the first commandment of all?

Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him,
        The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
        and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength:
        this is the first commandment.
Mark 12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
        There is none other commandment greater than these.

 ANYONE WORSHIPED WAS LORD OR GOD. THEREFORE:
Lord g2961 1) he to whom a person or thing belongs, about which he has power of deciding; master, lord a) the possessor and disposer of a thing 1) the owner; one who has control of the person, the master, c) this title is given to: God, the Messiah

God g2316 Theos 1) a god or goddess, a general name of deities or divinities, a) God's representative or viceregent. 1) of magistrates and judges
THEREFORE:

Ex. 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM HATH SENT me unto you.

Ex. 3:15 And God said MOREOVER unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
Because "god" or elohim and theos can identify false gods--
God g2316 Theos 1) a god or goddess, a general name of deities or divinities, a) God's representative or viceregent. 1) of magistrates and judges --

And because it took THREE gods to make the usual pagan trinity, If Jesus permitted a "trinity" in the original Shema, then He is saying that there are three GODS.  But, that would make Jesus and Moses liers.

Acts 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Mark 12:32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth:
        for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
Heis (g1520) a cardinal number, one, in opposition to many.
Mat 6:24 No man can serve two masters [kurios]: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

None other means none other. He means He and not they. Him means Him: you cannot love TWO Kurios or Lords.

Mark 12:33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding,
        and with all the soul, and with all the strength,
        and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

Mark 12:34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him,
        Thou art not far from the kingdom of God.
        And no man after that durst ask him any question.

Because Jesus is the head of the church and king of the kingdom, you cannot give just part of the authority to the SON and be very close to the kingdom.  Most divison comes from people hearing the Spirit apart from Christ to whom the Spirit belongs.

Dt 11:17 And then the LORD'S [YHWH] wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD [YHWH] giveth you.

Dt 11:18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul,
        and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.

DID GOD COME IN THE FLESH THE GODHEAD COL 2:9

Godhood”—the state or quality of being God Col. 2:9

I will tell you briefly what I believe concerning the Godhead. Around 1611, when the King James Version was first published, the suffix “-head” was the Middle English equivalent to our modern suffix “-hood.” Thus, Godhead is an archaic form of “Godhood”—the state or quality of being God. The King James translators thus chose this word to translate the Greek “theion” in Acts 17:29; “theiotes” in Rom. 1:20; and “theotetos” in Col. 2:9. As we can see from the root of these terms, “theos,” all of these words relate to Divinity, or Deity.

Rom. 1:20 For the INVISIBLE things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen,
        being perceived through the things that are made,
        even his everlasting power and divinity;
Rom. 1:21 because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God,
        neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings,
        and their senseless heart was darkened.

2Pet. 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:
        that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature,
        having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Acts 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God,
        we ought not to think that the GODHEAD is like unto gold, or silver,

        or stone, graven by art and man’s device.

God is SPIRIT in nature: as humans live on a substratum of flesh,  God exists in the realm of Spirit  or Mind. Neither in Hebrew or Greek does "spirit" identify a person but in a highly figurative sense the mental disposition of a person.  Remembering  repositional phrases, the Spirit OF Christ can never be another person.

A Christian: John 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified,
        and sent into the world,
        Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

TWO:
1Tim. 2:5 For there is one God,
        and one mediator between God and men,
        the MAN Christ Jesus;

THREE:
God Said: Num. 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent:
        hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Jesus Said: John 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
        Except ye eat the FLESH of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

FOUR:
God is: John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Jesus is NOT: Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see;
        for a spirit hath not FLESH and bones, as ye see me have.

FIVE:
1John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God:
        and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come;
        and even now already is it in the world.
2John 7 For many deceivers are entered into the world,
        who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.
        This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Luc. Icar.9 As to Gods, I need hardly deal with that question. For some of them God is a number; some swear by dogs and geese and plane-trees  2. Some again banish all other Gods, and attribute the control of the universe to a single one; I got rather depressed on learning how small the supply of divinity was. But I was comforted by the lavish souls who not only make many, but classify; there was a First God, and second and third classes of divinity. Yet again, some regard the divine nature as unsubstantial and without form, while others conceive it as a substance. Then they were not all disposed to recognize a Providence; some relieve the Gods of all care,

THE LATIN GODHEAD IN COLOSSIANS 2:9

Latin Divine: dīvus a god, deity, divine being

A Church of Christ of which Jesus is the Head is commanded to "teach that which has been taught." It has no other function.

Latin Godhead or Divine is: dīvīnĭtas  Divine quality, divine nature, excellence; of the orator
Dīvīnus  I. of or belonging to a deity, divine divina studia colere  divina facta, i. e., religious exercise, divine worship, sacrifice, etc Divine ORIGIN.
2.
The divine, that which comes from God, nihil est divino divinius, Sen. Ep. 66, 11.— 3. That which is under the sanction of a god; a. By divine inspiration, prophetically: “plura divine praesensa et praedicta reperiri
    Divine stŭdĭum , I. a busying one's self about or application to a thing; assiduity, zeal, eagerness, fondness, inclination, desire, exertion, endeavor, study: (b). A place for study, a study, school (late Lat.): “philosophum (se egit) in omnibus studiis, templis, locis,”

Jesus was filled in a visible-audible sense with God's Word or Logos. That is the Regulative Principle OPPOSITE of personal experiences or comments, rhetoric, singing, playing instruments or acting. The Sabbath never meant a day of worship but REST: REST demands stopping everything so that you can obey the command to teach that which is written for our learning.

A Church filled with the Divine Nature is a school of the prophets and apostles exclusively

Eph. 2:20 And are built upon [educated] the foundation of the apostles and prophets,
        Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
Eph. 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men,
         as it is now revealed
         unto his holy apostles and prophets
         by the Spirit;  [God breathed which is not a spirit person]

God made Jesus TO BE both Lord and Christ so that He said My WORDS are SPIRIT. He made the prophecies more certain and the inspired writers left us a memory or THEIR PART.

IS THE HOLY SPIRIT "ANOTHER" COMFORTER?
John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter [g3875. παράκλητος parakletos] will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
John 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
John 16:9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
John 16:10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
Acts 2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted,
        and having received of the Father
        the promise [role] of the Holy Ghost,
        HE hath shed forth this, which ye now SEE and HEAR.

THIS IS WHAT JESUS PROMISED

John 14:5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him,
        I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE:
        no man cometh unto the Father, but by ME.
John 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also:
        and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
John 14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you,
        and yet hast thou not known me, Philip?
        he that hath seen me hath seen the Father;
        and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am IN the Father, and the Father IN me?
        the WORDS that I speak unto you I speak not of myself:
        but the Father that dwelleth in me, HE DOETH THE WORKS
John 14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

JOHN 10:30 I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE

John 10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you,
        and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.
John 10:26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish,
        neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all;
        and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

UNUM 1. Adverbial expressions.
a. Ad unum, all together, unanimously, to a man, without exception:
2. Of that which is common to several persons or things, one and the same.
with one voice, all together, unanimously:
IF JESUS WAS REALLY SMART WOULDN'T HE HAVE SAID I AM MY FATHER OR I AM JEHOVAH!

Before and after verse 30 Jesus makes it clear that He speaks an does everything by the  God Almighty Who dwells in the hearts of spirits of His Children.

John 10:31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
John 10:32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father;
        for which of those works do ye stone me?
John 10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not;
        but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said,
        Ye are gods?  [as written it says ye are eloyhim, not Jehovah.

JESUS DEFINES AN ELOYHIM- NOT JEHOVAH-ELOYHIM

John 10:35 If he called them gods,
        unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
John 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world,
        Thou blasphemest; because I said, I AM THE SON OF GOD?
John 10:37 If I do not the works of MY FATHER, believe me not.
John 10:38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works:
        that ye may know, and believe,
        that the Father [Pater-Teacher]
        is in me, and I in him.

John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not;
         for I am not yet ascended to my Father:
         but go to my brethren, and say unto them,

I ascend unto MY FATHER, and YOUR FATHER
         and to MY GOD, and YOUR GOD

JESUS DENIED THAT THERE WAS A SPIRIT PERSON REQUIRED FOR THE FATHER TO SPEAK TO THE SON

JOHN  14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father,
        and he shall give you another Comforter [
g3875. parakletos],
        that he may abide with you for ever;
John 14:17 Even the Spirit OF truth; whom the world cannot receive,
        because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him:
        but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 14:18  I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Contrary to all trinities of father, mother (spirit) and bad son GOD puts all of these authorities in ONE VISIBLE being

First John proves that Jesus is in the STATE of Holy Spirit.
1John 2:1 My little children, these things WRITE I unto you, that ye sin not.
         And if any man sin, we have an advocate [g3875. parakletos]
        with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
1John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins:
        and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
1John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him,
         if we keep his commandments.
1John 2:4 He that saith, I know him,
        and keepeth not his commandments,
        is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his WORD (Logos, Regulative Principle)
       in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
1John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
[1] 1Cor. 15:45 And so it is written,
        The first man Adam was made a living soul;

         so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
John 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also,

        are changed into the same image from glory to glory,
        even as by the Spirit of the Lord
THOMAS CALLED JESUS MY LORD AND MY GOD.
Q. God the Word (John 1:1; cf. 20:28),

John 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you:
        as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
John 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them,
        and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

John 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger,
        and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand,
        and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him,
        My Lord and my God.

 FIRST, notice that the NAME of Jesus was to be emmanuel which is an ELOHIM and not JEHOVAH
 Psa. 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods [430. אֱלֹהִים ʾelohiym];
            [BECAUSE] and all of you are children of the most High.
Is. 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
      g6005. עִמָּנוּאֵל ꜥImmanuwʾel, im-maw-noo-ale´; from 5973 and 410 with a pronominal suffix inserted; with us (is) God; Immanuel, a type name of Isaiah’s son:—Immanuel.

1Cor. 8:5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth,
        (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
1Cor. 8:6 BUT to us there is but one God, the Father,
            OF whom are all things, and we in him;
        and one Lord Jesus Christ,
             BY whom are ALL THINGS, and we by him.
Luke 10:22
ALL THINGS, are delivered to me of my Father:
        and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father;
and who the Father is, but the Son,
        and he to WHOM THE SON WILL REVEAL HIM
          Hebrew: the LORD [yhwh] and GOD [Elohim]
          Greek:    the GOD  [Theos] and LORD [Kurios]

John 10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not;
        but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a MAN, MAKETH THYSELF GOD

John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
John 10:35 If he called them gods  [Elohim to a Jew]
         unto whom the word of God came,
  ,      and the scripture cannot be broken;
Psalm 82:6 “I said, You are “gods“; you are all sons of the Most High.”; “gods” here in Hebrew is “Elohim”, which is plural of “EL”.
        It is the same exact thing as “EL” used for Jesus in Isaiah 9:6, Jesus would be CALLED a form of Elohim and not Jehovah the only TRUE elohim since “gods” is a combination of several “EL”s.
Psa. 82:5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
Psa. 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods;
        [MEANING] and all of you are children of the most High.
Psa. 82:7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes

Jesus Died!
430. אֱלֹהִים ʾelohiym, el-o-heem´; plural of 433; godS in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates and sometimes as a superlative:
433. אֱלוֹהַּ ʾelowahh, el-o´-ah; rarely (shortened) אֱלֹהַּ ʾeloahh, el-o´-ah} probably prolonged (emphat.) from 410; a deity or the Deity:—God, god. See 430.
John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him,
        Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed:
        blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
John 20:30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples,
        which are not written in this book:

JOHN WROTE TO CORRECT DOUBTING THOMAS.
John 20:31 But these are written,
        that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ,
        THE SON OF GOD
        and that believing ye might have life through his name.

JESUS SAID I AM HE: DID HE SAY I AM GOD?

Q. John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins:
        for if ye believe not that I AM HE, ye shall die in your sins.

A. THE SPIRIT OF OR CONCERNING CHRIST EXCLUDED HIM FROM BEING GOD.
1Pet. 1:10  Of which salvation the PROPHETS have enquired and searched diligently,
        who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
1Pet. 1:11 Searching what, or what manner of time
        the Spirit OF CHRIST [About Christ] which was in them did signify,
        when it testified beforehand the SUFFERING OF Christ, and the glory that should follow.
1Pet. 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves,
        but unto us they did minister THE THINGS
        which are now REPORTED unto you by them
        that have PREACHED the GOSPEL unto you
        WITH  [Their RESOURCE] the Holy SPIRIT sent down from heaven;
        which THINGS the angels desire to look into.
THE THINGS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT REPORTED
John 6:63 It is the SPIRIT that quickeneth;
        the flesh profiteth nothing:
        the WORDS
[RESOURCE] that I speak unto you
        they are
SPIRIT, and they are life.
WHEN GOD PUT HIS WORD INTO ISAIAH'S MOUTH HE DEFINED THE "REST" OF MESSIAH BOTH INCLUSIVELY AND EXCLUSIVELY.

JESUS DEFINED HOLY SCRIPTURE FOR HIS KINGDOM AS THE PROPHETS AND OTHER PROPHECIES CONCERNING ME.

Is. 43:3 For  I am THE Lord [YHWH] thy God,
      THE
Holy One of ISRAEL, thy Saviour:

      I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
Is. 44:6 Thus saith the Lord [YHWH] the King OF Israel,
        and his [Israel's] redeemer the Lord of hosts;
             [1] I am THE first,

[2] and I am THE last;
        and beside me there is no God.
Is. 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord [YHWH],
        and my SERVANT whom I have CHOSEN.

            THAT ye may know and believe me, and understand

[3]  that I AM  HE: [YHWH]
             [4] BEFORE me there was NO God formed,
             [
5] neither shall there be AFTER ME
Is. 43:11  I, even  I, am THE Lord; [YHWH]

[6] and BESIDE me there is no saviour.

AND MORE FROM ISAIAH.

Psa. 86:10 For thou art great,
            and doest wondrous things:

[7] thou art God ALONE.

"I AM  HE" MEANS THAT THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE GOD

John 8:26 I have many things to say and to judge of you:
        but HE THAT SENT ME is true;
        and I speak to the world those things WHICH I HAVE HEAR OF HIM
John 8:27 They understood not that he spake to them of the Father
John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them,

        When ye have lifted up the SON OF MAN,
        then shall ye know that I AM HE
        and that I do nothing of myself;
        but as my Father hath TAUGHT me,
        I SPEAK these things.

I AM HE means that I AM the SON OF MAN.

John 8:29 And he that sent me is with ME:
        the Father hath not left me alone;
        for I do always those things that please him.
John 8:30 As he SPAKE these WORDS, many believed on him.
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,
        IF ye continue in my WORD, [LOGOS]
        THEN are ye my disciples indeed;

A holy spirit (ours) or A good conscience or consciousness permits a CO-PERCEPTION of the WORDS of Jesus which are Spirit and Life. (also 2 cor 3)

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Col. 1:5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven,
        whereof ye heard before in the WORD of the TRUTH of the GOSPEL;
1Pet. 1:25 But the WORD of the Lord endureth for ever.
        And this is the WORD which by the GOSPEL is preached unto you.
