Jim  Miller Hypocrite Church of Christ Facebook

Jim is whining that old people who cannot sit on a stone cold bench are hypocrites. He quotes a passage about HYPOCRITES but "Cast out of his synagogue" anyone who wants to speak about the context.

THE CONTEXT OF JIM'S STATEMENT IS 'HYPOCRISY.

THE CHURCH OF CHRIST EXISTS FOR "SONS FROM GOD WHO ARE TAUGHT BY GOD TO LISTEN ONLY TO JESUS.  IT IS  WORSE THAN HYPOCRITICAL TO JUDGE ALL PEOPLE BY "RULES MADE BY JIM."

Jim Bob is the embodiment of hospitality. You come to visit and before you can get a word out he POSTS  ALL DAY to make certain that the visitor's message is burried undter tons of HIS uninformed assertions. If you persist talking to him he will make certain that the visitor is no longer able to bother anyone.

He missed the point that the only thing you can do as worship is to bow with your face toward the groundd of FALL ON YOUR FACE in reverence and Godly. The Biblical assembly is a school OF CHRIST WHEN the ELDERS TEACH THAT WHICH HAS BEEN TAUGHT..

JIM QUOTES A PASSAGE TWISTED FOR CHILDREN. Hee Haw!

"These people say they love me.
        They show honor to me with words.
        But their hearts are from me.
 The honor they show me
        is nothing but human rules they have memorized." Isaiah 29:13ICB

IT'S NOT NICE TO DECEIVE CHILDREN AND ADULTS ABOUT HOLY SCRIPTURE.

Is. 29:13 Wherefore the Lord said,
        Forasmuch as this people DRAW NEAR me with their mouth,
        and with their lips do honour me,
        but have removed their heart far from me,
        and their fear toward me is taught by the PRECEPT of MEN:

DRAW NEAR h5066. נָגַשׁ nagash, naw-gash´; a primitive root; to be or come (causatively, bring) near (for any purpose); euphemistically, to lie with a woman; as an enemy, to attack; relig. to worship; causatively, to present; figuratively, to adduce an argument; by reversal, to stand back:—(make to) approach (nigh), bring (forth, hither, near), (cause to) come (hither, near, nigh), give place, go hard (up), (be, draw, go) near (nigh), offer, overtake, present, put, stand.

TAUGHT:  h3925. לָמַד lamad, law-mad´; a primitive root; properly, to goad, i.e. (by implication) to teach (the rod being an Oriental incentive):—(un-) accustomed, x diligently, expert, instruct, learn, skilful, teach(-er, - ing).

PRECEPT DOES NOT MEAN "MEMORIZED': 4687. מִצְוָה mitsvah, mits-vaw´; from 6680; a command, whether human or divine (collectively, the Law):—(which was) commanded(-ment), law, ordinance, precept.

MEN: h582. אֱנוֹשׁ ʾenowsh, en-oshe´; from 605; properly, a mortal (and thus differing from the more dignified 120);
        h605. אָנַשׁ ʾanash, aw-nash´; a primitive root; to be frail, feeble, or (figuratively) melancholy:—desperate(-ly wicked), incurable, sick, woeful.
FEAR: h3374. יִרְאָה yirʾah, yir-aw´; feminine of 3373; fear (also used as infinitive); morally, reverence:—x dreadful, x exceedingly, fear(-fulness).

Heb. 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be MOVED, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
Heb. 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

EZEKIEL, BY THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD ISSUED THE SAME WARNING:

Ezek. 33:31 And they come unto thee as the people cometh,
        and they sit before thee as my people,
        and they hear thy words, but they will not do them:
        for with their mouth they shew much love,
        but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

GOD REVEALS THE WORSE CASE EXAMPLE OF A HYPOCRITE:
Ezek. 33:32 And, lo, thou art unto them
      AS a very lovely SONG of one that hath a pleasant voice,
      AND CAN PLAY WELL ON AN INSTRUMENT:
FOR they hear thy words, BUT they do them not.

Ezek. 33:33 And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,)
        then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.
SONG: h7892. שׁיִר shiyr, sheer; or feminine שׁיִרָה shiyrah, shee-raw´; from 7891; a song; abstractly, singing:—musical(-ick), x sing(-er, -ing), song.
    7891. שׁיִר shiyr, sheer; or (the original form) שׁוּר shuwr (1 Sam. 18:6), shoor; a primitive root (identical with 7788 through the idea of strolling minstrelsy); to sing:—behold (by mistake for 7789), sing(-er, -ing man, -ing woman).
    7788. שׁוּר shuwr, shoor; a primitive root; properly, to turn, i.e. travel about (as a harlot or a merchant):—go, singular See also 7891.

PLAY: h5059.
נָגַן nagan, naw-gan´; a primitive root; properly, to thrum, i.e. beat a tune with the fingers; expec. to play on a stringed instrument; hence (generally), to make music:—player on instruments, sing to the stringed instruments, melody, ministrel, play(-er, -ing)
A BIBLE STUDENT WILL WANT TO BEGIN WITH JESUS.

Mark 7:6 He answered and said unto them,
        Well hath Esaias prophesied of you HYPOCRITES, as it is written,
        This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
Mark 7:7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me,
        teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Preaching, Singing, laying by in store law, meeting more than once each week for a school of Christ only

Mark 7:8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

And the book is delivered to him that is not learned,
        saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned. Is. 29:12
Is. 29:13 Wherefore the Lord said,
        Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth,

        and with their lips do honour me,
        but have removed their heart far from me,
        and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
Is. 29:14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people,
        even a marvellous work and a wonder:
        for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish,
        and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

Jesus said that God hides from the WISE OR SOPHISTS: preaching, music or scenic (on the podium) exhibition.
Matt. 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the WISE [SOPHISTS] and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

Plat. Laws 908d For whereas the one class will be quite frank in its language about the gods and about sacrifices and oaths,
    and by ridiculing other people will probably convert others to its views,
     unless it meets with punishment,
the other class, while holding the same opinions as the former,
        yet being specially “gifted by nature'' and being full of craft and guile,
        is the class out of which are manufactured many diviners
        and experts in all manner of jugglery;

and from it, too, there spring sometimes tyrants and demagogues and generals,
        and those who plot by means of peculiar mystic rites of their own,
        and the devices of those who are called “sophists.” Of these there may be many kinds;

Plat. Laws 933a Distinct from this is the type which,
by means of sorceries and incantations [epōdais    SONGS] and SPELLS (as they are called)

Clement of Alexandria in Stromata notes that co-perception is not automatic:

Those who are wise in mind have a certain attribute of nature peculiar to themselves; and they who have shown themselves capable, receive from the Supreme Wisdom a spirit of perception in double measure.

For those who practise the common arts, are in what pertains to the senses highly gifted:

in hearing, he who is commonly called a musician;
in touch, he who moulds clay;
in voice the singer,
in smell the perfumer,
in sight the engraver of devices on seals. (marks)
