Teaching people how to TEACH others to teach others is a good plan. However, the most aggressive discipling groups are often teaching Anti-Christian Doctrine.

The Holy Spirit becomes the Teacher.
        It gets the teacher, dvds, and other ‘book studies’ out of the way,
        allowing the “True Teacher” –the Holy Spirit—to enter and teach.
       There is a dependency on God to reveal Truth—and He does—every time.

God is Holy Spirit: He is not a man nor the son of man. God is not flesh and bones.
Jesus articulates what God the Father BREATHES (spirit is not a person) the Word, Logos or Regulative Principle without metron or METER.
Jesus then SPEAKS that Inspired message and never uses rhetoric, singing or playing instruments.
John Magnuson and church use rhetoric, singing and virtual instruments with a "worship team" a word quite repullsive.
John Magnuson and church says that Jesus the Son is God the Father and that the Spirit OF (A preposition) Christ is another god-people required for Jesus to function.
Scripture revealed by Jesus cannot be private interpreted meaning "further expounding" or corrupting meaning selling the Word at retail.

Discipling teaching that which is written for out learning

Jude 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation,
        it was needful for me to write unto you,
        and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend
        for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

John Magnuson and leaders denies that that THE FAITH or THE WORD as LOGOS or Regulative Principle HAS been delivered. Jesus in Matthew 28 denies that there is a limit on revelation in Matthew 28 which teaches ANY one claiming to be a MINISTER to GO and make disciples. 

David Young of John Magnuson's church claims that he has a crown which CANNOT be removed and he denies Scripture which says that it can be removed and one declared ANATHEMA. That means any person or thing devoted to enhance any religious group by their persona cannot be redeemed and MUST BE BURNED. The Jews fell into instrumental-trinitarian-perverted "worship service" at Mount Sinai and God declared that sin beyond redemption and many of them were BURNED.

Those involved in the Discipling Dilemna or Extreme Discipleship claim that God COMMANDES them to be Instrumental-Trinitarian and the END is always a gender compromised "worship observation" to which Jesus Said the kingdom does not come. Most of those hearing NEW VOICES or NEW VISION CASTING creep in unaware intending to collect your money and then DISCLOSE their hidden agenda:

THE FOUNTAIN OF REJECTING THE OLDEN SCRIPTURE: Lipscomb University Claims that that Scripture is understood and BECOMES inspired when we ask WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO ME.

"The DBS is a God-honoring and God-exalting process. People directly engage and rub up against God’s word. In doing so, He—He alone—receives the glory as He proves Himself faithful over and over again as HE enlightens the hearts of people to discover who He is directly from His word.

The Spirit OF Christ commanded that no one SELL His Word.

Wherefore DO YOU SPEND MONEY for that which is not bread?
        and your labour for that which satisfieth not?
        hearken diligently unto me,
        and EAT ye that which is good,
        and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Isa 55:2

Because our God is a PATRIARCH the only always-commanded words are SPEAK or READ and never SING or PLAY which is a gender marker.

Spirit literally means WIND: nothing more or nothing less.  It is used FIGURATIVELY of the "BREATH" of God.

There is no "THE" Holy Spirit. God is Holy Spirit which means WHOLLY Spirit without flesh and bones. SPIRIT is the BREATH of God which reveals the WORDS of God. Jesus articulates the WORD ONLY and He said MY WORD is SPIRIT and LIFE.

The word OF is a preposition. No theoloogy "selling learning at retail" has ever been caught in Text books, sermons or blogs allowed to know that the Spirit OF Christ is the Spirit or MIND of Christ.   The inventors and writers of the "trias concept" along with the Campbells in the American Restoration Movement.

Theophilus the definition of Trias but never as three "persons" before H. Leo Boles.

And first, they taught us with one consent that God made all things out of nothing; for nothing was coeval with God: but He being His own place, and wanting nothing,
........... and existing before the ages, willed to make man by whom He might be known;
........... for him, therefore, He prepared the world.
........... For he that is created is also needy; but he that is uncreated stands in need of nothing.

God, then, having His own Word internal within His own bowels,
........... begat Him, emitting Him
........... along with His own wisdom before all things.

He had this Word as a helper in the things that were created by Him, and by Him He made all things.

He is called "governing principle", because He rules, and is Lord of all things fashioned by Him.
He, then, being Spirit of God, and governing principle, and wisdom, and power of the highest,
came down upon the prophets, and through them spoke of the creation of the world and of all other things. 
(This was the Spirit of Christ, 1 Peter 1:11; Revelation 19:10)

For the prophets were not when the world came into existence,

but the wisdom [Spirit in this instance is Sophia] of God which was in Him, and
........... His holy Word which was always present with Him.

Jesus called the Scribes and Pharisees (clergy) hypocrites. In Isaiah 29 and Ezekiel 33 which will not be covered in this study, the Spirit OF Christ named preachers for hire, singers and instrument players. This was the MARK that people are not going to let Jesus be the Teacher.

This is mocking God who through the Prophets and Jesus defined the future REST both inclusively and exclusively.  We want to be charitable and say that they are just Biblically illiterate but Peter in  Ephesians 4 denied "unity in diversity" and said that the self-authoring preachers, singers or instrument players are LYING IN WAIT TO DECEIVE.

Jesus said that Doctors of the Law take away the key to knowledge. Beware of these people who declare that Peter was a liar.

Timothy wants BOTH men and women to be SILENT because neither have a jot or tittle to add to the Word or Regulative principle

        and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

        and one MEDIATOR between God and men,
        the MAN Christ Jesus;

The "another" or different in being IN SPIRIT Comforter has a NAME. The Glorified Jesus is HOLY SPIRIT and there is no THE holy spirit or Wind or Breath: Parables to hide from the clergy says Jesus.

1John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.
        And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father,
        Jesus Christ the righteous:

If you say that the commanded teaching by Jesus Christ have been TERMINATED and an imagined spirit PERSON has replaced the Scripture then the rest of us are obligated to call you a Made-Off.

John says that if you deny that ONE GOD and ONE Mediator or Son then you are ANTICHRIST and that is why you refuse to teach that which has been taught.

The ONLY personified Spiritus is named Apollon or Abaddon: He is the leader of the Muses or LOCUSTS or musical worship teams.

Lipscomb University: God delights in speaking through people; He speaks through His word and through people to reveal Himself in the DBS process. That is spectacular to see unfold. No kidding, it is an adventure each time.

God HAS SPOKEN and Peter said that the Revelation of the Prophets to the Apostles was not subject to Private Interpretation or further expounding: this would REPUDIATE God who BREATHED or INspirit Jesus to make the Prophets more certain.

Matt. 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father:
        and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father;
        neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son,
        and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Lipscomb University  The DBS disciples and inherently makes disciples. So far, I’ve done the DBS about 150 times. Never once (and there is no exaggeration here) has the ball fumbled down the field—not once. It is stunning every time—especially with those who are seeking or who are young in their walk with Christ. And it is refreshing and rehabilitating for those of us who think we’ve been discipled and are good disciplers.

DBS repudiates God, His Revelation, Jesus Christ, the Apostles and Historic "Apostolic" Christianity:

Lipscomb University: The DBS is relentless in shepherding towards transformational living through: personal authenticity, accountability, personal responsibility, evangelism, prayer, and acts of service.

Blasphemer, God beat you to it:

Rom. 12:1  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
        that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice,
        holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Reasonable worship is Rational Worship OF the LOGOS: It is the Regulative Principle exclusive of personal opinions, personal experiences, rhetoric, singing, playing instruments, acting or dancing.

Rom. 12:2 And be not conformed to this world:
        but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
        that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Rom. 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you,
        not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think;

Lipscomb University:  People often tire of a study, but I’ve not experienced anyone “tiring” of the DBS process because it is so natural, engaging, and empowering. Who gets tired of encountering the God of the Universe?

It will be helpful to suppliment this Baptist and Lipscomb material so that "hyperlinking" is removed.

First, God the Father gave Jesus the Son the Biblical way to Make Disciples.  Jesus does not pray for any World View: the world or Kosmos is the kingdom of the Devil. The Devil works really hard (legalism) because he knows that he has a short kairos left. The sounds like musical instruments heard in the new Zion is a sign of Judgment and the command is to GO preach the gospel.  Jesus came to seek and save a tiny little flock of lost spirits as lambs in the midst of those OF the World.

        because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent,

The Kingdom does not come with religious observations or lying wonders. The Muses or Locusts led by Apollon-Abaddon are tasked to COLLECT the masses or BEAST people marked by "a new style of music or Satyric Drama."

Making and Teaching the Word is the one-piece pattern: the evangelist is not building towers but seeking lost spirits.  Jude made the musical idolatry at mount Sinai as a warning of those evil spirits predestined to try to make the lambs dumb.

Any minister (slave) of God will obey the direct command:

Rom. 15:19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum,
        I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

        not where Christ was named,

When the gospel has been preached and recorded the direct command is to PREACH the Word (regulative principle) by READING the Word.

The Little Flock called the WAY that is a SECT is Narrow and Exclusive: the kingdom does not come with observations which are defined as lying wonders. We are saved or KEPT SAFE by Grace (which teaches) through Faith meaning to comply.

        the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

God breathed (spirit) into the prophets as "the Spirit OF Christ."  This was the present and future PATTERN for the Godly people whom God quarantined from the Jacob-Cursed and God-abandoned Levites.

God breathed into Jesus of Nazareth without measure or musical meter: Jesus then spoke the Word knowing that music destroyed the learning process.

Leviticus 4:1-35  Redemption: The Sacrificial System
