John 6:58 This is that bread which came down from heaven:
not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead:
he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
John 6:61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it,
he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
John 6:62 What and if ye shall see the SON OF MAN [not a god]
ascend up where he was before?
John 6:63 It is the SPIRIT that quickeneth;
the flesh profiteth nothing:
the WORDS that I SPEAK unto you,
they are SPIRIT, and they are LIFE.

Christian" Jesus told me so. Theology identified
Apollo or Apollyon.
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,
IF ye continue in my WORD, then are ye my disciples indeed;
John Mark Hicks and all Theologians say that continuing in the Word of Jesus was IMPOSSIBLE before He came along.
Disciples or Christians are Students-only of Jesus-only. Jesus manifests His WORD those who have been WASED in water INTO the Word or His School.
Jesus teaches the ones and twos who go outside the camp or city to REST and Learn of Me.
Matt. 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,
All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Matt. 28:19 GO ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name [singular] of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Matt. 28:20 TEACHING them to OBSERVE all things
whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you alway,
even unto the end of the world. Amen. [g165 Aion messianic age]
The teaching or DOCTRINE is the PROPHECIES "Concerning Me." The Church is built upon or EDUCATED by the Prophets and Apostles who left us a "memory."

JOHN MARK
HICKS: Irenaeus knew that everyone reads the text against the
background of a hypothesis,
[NOT TRUE]
which norms what
the text can mean or gives boundaries
to the meaning of a text.
This is Scripture’s
sacramental function within the liturgical
life of the church.
Jesus said and eye-- and ear--witness and honorable men have protected the text which says:"Perhaps the most startling conclusion that Brueggemann arrives at from this construct is
that we cannot help but interpret the biblical texts so that our own "good" morality
is in agreement with what the authors of the texts appear to be saying.
Luke 24:44 And he said unto them,
These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you,
that all things must be fulfilled,
which were WRITTEN in the law of Moses,
and in the PROPHETS, and in the psalms, CONCERNING ME
To say that only Hired Men with their train and during THEIR age could understand that clear statement is to say that Jesus was ignorant and they are god.
The Hicks god, the prophets, fullfilled prophecy, Jesus's teaching, the Epistles not Historical Scholars was smart enough to put their WILL down in BLACK letters on BROWN paper.
Peter outlaws "private interpretation" or further expounding because that would repudiate the signs and wonders of Jesus left in writing for OUT memory.

Given God’s history with God’s people
and given the confession
of the Rule of Faith [Holy Scripture in all of history]
AND its practice
within the church,
the TEXT itself gives rise to
meaning beyond the HUMAN author’s INTENT.
The church HEARS the
word of God,
understands its depth and profundity,
and PERFORMS
it LITURGICALLY and ethically.
Since faith is Divine and infallible, the rule of faith must be also Divine and infallible; and since faith is supernatural assent to Divine truths upon Divine authority, the ultimate or REMOTE rule of faith must be the truthfulness of God in revealing Himself.Howlever, all Reformation scholars and ALL Church fathers, believe.
But since Divine revelation is contained in the written books and unwritten traditions (Vatican Council, I, ii), the Bible and Divine TRADITION must be the rule of our faith; since, however, these are only silent witnesses and cannot interpret themselves, they are commonly termed "proximate but inanimate rules of faith". Unless, then, the Bible and tradition are to be profitless, we must look for some proximate rule which shall be animate or living
The Reformed Churches were unanimous in declaring the Bible to be the sole rule of faith. "We believe that the only rule and standard by which all dogmas and all doctors are to be weighed and judged, is nothing else but the prophetic and apostolic writings of the Old and New Testaments" (Form. Concordiae, 1577).Irenaeus.Demonstration.of.Apostolic.Preaching.html
3. Now, that we
may not suffer ought of this kind, we must needs hold
the rule of
the faith without deviation,
and DO the
commandments of God,
believing in God
and fearing Him as Lord and loving Him as Father.
Now this doing is
produced |72 by faith:
for Isaiah says:
If
ye believe not, neither shall ye understand.10
BAPTISM SAVES because it is a request for A holy spirit or A good conscience or consciousness. That gives only Baptized disciples of Christ-only a co-perception or the ability to read the TEXT as it has been "once delivered" to us.
Is. 7:8 For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin;
and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people.
Is. 7:9 And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son.
If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
h586 Aman [N] to be faithful, be trustworthy, be established; [H] to believe, trust, have confidenceto nurse, nurture, care for; be a trustee, be a guardian; [Qp, N] to be nurtured, cared forAnd faith is produced by the truth; for faith rests on things that truly are.
For in things
that are, as they are, we believe;
and
believing in things that are, as
they ever are,
we keep firm
our confidence in them.
Rom. 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the WORD of God.
Since then faith is the perpetuation of our salvation,
we must needs bestow much pains on the maintenance thereof,
in order that we may have a true comprehension of the things that are.
Now faith occasions this for us; even as
the Elders, the disciples of the Apostles, have handed down to us.
Heb. 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him:
for he that cometh to God must believe that he is,
and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Neither HICKS nor STANGLIN read the REAL Irenaeus. Irenaeus is not talking about the MEMBERS of the CONGREGATION (The Preacher) doing the interpretation. The members of the APOSTOLIC DOCTRINES are all used to prevent Private Interpretation. It is a STRONG DELUSION that God ever commanded a DAY for worship.
It is the DEFINITION of a CULT to operate a center of SANCTITY with command authority, controlling the member's life several days during the week.
It is a STRONG DELUSION that God ever commanded any action by the hands of men as worship.
It is a STRONG DELUSION to claim that Jesus died in vain unable to "supply all that applies to life and godliness."
It is a STRONG DELUSION that God ever authorized ANY FUNDING for any funded STAFF to ride on the backs of widows
It is a STRONG DELUSION to claim that God commanded SINGING with or without a Mechanical Device.
It is a STRONG DELUSION and a LIE that there is a Law of Tithing or a Law of Giving

THEOLOGY USES MYTH (Opp. Logos, Regulative
Principle) includes sermons, songs, music or
anything. Most honorable men MADE CLEAR the REVEALED
TEXT.
Nature of theology The
concept of theology that is
applicable as a science in all religions
and that is therefore neutral is difficult to distill
and determine. The problem lies in the fact that,
whereas theology as a concept had
its origins in the tradition of
the ancient Greeks, it obtained
its content and method only within Christianity.
The Greek philosopher Plato, with whom the
concept emerges for the first
time, associated with the term theology
a polemical intention—as did his
pupil Aristotle.
[WORSHIP WARS] "a polemical essay synonyms: critical, hostile, bitter, polemic, virulent, vitriolic, venomous, waspish, corrosive, biting, caustic, trenchant, cutting, acerbic, sardonic, sarcastic, scathing, acid, sharp, keen, tart, pungent, stinging, astringent, incisive, devastating, piercing, acidulous, mordacious
For Plato, THEOLOGY described the mythical, MUTHOS 2. fiction (opp. logos, historic truth),
which he allowed may have a temporary pedagogical significance that is beneficial
to the state but is to be cleansed from all offensive and abstruse elements
with the help of political legislation.
“theologians” (e.g., the 8th-century-bce Greek poets Hesiod and Homer, the cultic servants of the oracle at Delphi, [Apollo-Apollyon's Oracle] and the rhetoricians of the Roman cult of emperor worship) testified to and proclaimed that which they viewed as divine.
rhētēr'
Greek mythology, body of stories concerning the gods, heroes, and rituals of the ancient Greeks. That the myths contained a considerable element of fiction was recognized by the more critical Greeks, such as the philosopher Plato in the 5th–4th century bce. In general, however, in the popular piety of the Greeks, the myths were viewed as true accounts. Greek mythology has subsequently had extensive influence on the arts and literature of Western civilization, which fell heir to much of Greek culture.
The great mass of women and common people,
Such was mythology; and when our ancestors found it capable of subserving the purposes of social and political life, and even contributing to the knowledge of truth
cannot be induced by mere force of reason to devote themselves to piety, virtue, and honesty;
superstition must therefore be employed, and even this is insufficient without the aid of the marvellous and the terrible.
For what are the thunderbolts, the ægis, the trident, the torches, the dragons, the barbed thyrses, the arms of the gods, and all the paraphernalia of antique
THEOLOGY, but fables employed by the founders of states, as bugbears to frighten timorous minds.
