Payne insists that the Hebrew of 1 Chronicles 25:1 unambiguously identifies these leaders as military commanders, an interpretation favoured by several Bible translations. The Nation of Israel was already the Instrumental Sect according to Amos and Stephen in Acts 7 where the musical idolatry is defined as a sin beyond redemption. Judah became much worse. Hezekiah wanted some warm bodies because he knew that the enemy was going to attack and he wanted to protect his hide after being warned that his sons would go into captive. OK says Hezekiah as long as I am safe so I can got the temple and play the harp.
