John Mark Hicks: The “progressives” used the principles of Scripture
        to regulate their practice while the “conservatives”
        followed the specifics of the Scripture as their regulatory authority.
This difference regarding the regulative principle goes back to Geneva (Calvin) vs. Zurich (Zwingli).

False: the Regulative Principle is seen and violated by Eve in the Garden of Eden. Using the "principle" of Scripture means that "we can ignore" the Word of God which is the Logos, Regulative Principle and OUTLAWS all the ACTS imposed by the Disciples-Christian churches DENYING that Scripture applied to them.

    The Christian Standard took the progressive (broader) view which emphasized principles and expediency while the Gospel Advocate took the conservative (stricter) view which emphasized specified authority and prohibitive silence.
        The former saw instrumental music as an expediency (in both the Stone-Campbell and Presbyterian traditions)
        and the latter saw instrumental music as an apostate innovation that corrupted the worship of God
        (in both the Stone-Campbell and Presbyterian traditions).

Paul calls that STRONG DELUSIONS so that people believe their own lies and are damned. Lying Wonders includes rhetoric, singing, playing, acting or anything a USURPER uses claiming that they have God's permission.

The Law of Moses did not include any "Musical" Instruments. It quarantined the Godly people from the Jacob-cursed and God-abandoned Levites. They were instrumental soothsayers-sorcerers and had been abandoned to worship the starry host.

The serpent has ever been the symbol of the adept, and of his powers of immortality and divine knowledge. Mercury [KAIROS] in his psychopompic character, conducting and guiding with the caduceus the souls of the dead to Hades and even raising the dead to life with it, [Mercury or Hermes's gift was lies and seductive words, and a dubious character.]

Goddess of the Sun

Sun Goddesses were frequently psychopompes, and the labyrinth was itself connected to the Sun. It's entrance was carefully faced East to catch the first sunlight of the day. Patricia Monaghan's research has shown that the labyrinth accurately charts the Sun's path in the sky in the far North. It also marks the counter clockwise apparent orbit of the Moon as it waxes, followed by it's clockwise apparent path as it wanes. Travelling the labyrinth  made rebirth possible, whether it be by the Goddess leading the dead from its centre beneath the ground, or the priestess Ariadne guiding initiates through it for a spiritual rebirth.

These are the MUSES or musicians of Revelation 18:22. They serve Apollo or Abbadon or Apollyon. They are known throughout the literature as the LOCUSTS-musical performers. The Cynics known as "dogs" were intimately involved as sorcerers:

Lectio Divina and Spiritual Forrmation: Mary the mother of gods and beasts. Identifies the Thessalian HAGS speakers, singers, instrument players, sorcerers Revelation 18.  The Hags speaking old wive's tales are called SORCERERS and they poison while singing when the command is to SPEAK.

LECTIO as the Mark of an assembly of Christ is to collect (synagogue) the citizens of the freed ekklesia perusal; a reading out, reading aloud. by DIRECT COMMAND if you have one APT elder to "PREACH the Word by READING the Word for comfort and Doctrine.

Dt 18:13 Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.
Dt 18:14 For these nations, which thou shalt possess,
        hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners:
        but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.

Contrary to the Mother Goddesses, the WORD of God is the Regulative Principle and is opposite either male or females inserting their own thoughts which says Jesus identifies the sons or daughters of the Devil.

1 “Ambubaiarum” , "Women who played on the flute."  “[ambubajarum ministeria,”]  It is derived from a Syrian word; for the people of that country usually excelled in this instrument. “Pharmacopolae” is a general name for all who deal in spices, essence, and perfumes.

2 “Mendici, mimae, balatrones” . The priests of Isis and Cybele were beggars by profession, and under the vail of religion were often guilty of the most criminal excesses. Mimae were players of the most debauched and dissolute kind; and balatrones, in general, signifies all scoundrels, buffoons, and parasites, who had their name, according to the old commentator, from Servilius Balatro. “Balatrones hoc genus omne”, for omne hoc balatronum genus, is a remarkable sort of construction.

6 “Togata” . A prostitute. Women of this kind were obliged, when they went abroad, to wear a robe, called toga. The resemblance of it to the robe worn by men, made it a mark of infamy.

Jesus CAST OUT the minstrels LIKE DUNG. Here is what he thought of them:

Paul wants the elders in Ephesians 4 to stop them because THEY LIE IN WAIT TO DECEIVE.

His Elders Claiming Unity in Diversity ---  IF you have APT elders the command in Ephesians 4 is to cast out the cunning craftsmen or sophists. Why? God HIDES from the Wise or Sophists who are rhetoricians (little Bible), singers, instrument players or actors.

Kairos Church Planting-Ethos

The Renovatus Church of Christ where Kevin and Brenda Woods, Ryan's parents, minister will hold a special worship service Sunday, November 11, 6:00-7:30pm.

I spend much of the early morning working on a Strategy Lab to be held at the Riverside Church of Christ next week, January 16-20. I focused on a section about sensing, discerning, and entering the will of God.

SENSING: Aristotle speaking of the Logos or Rational Principle said that:
Of these, Sensation never originates action, as is shown by the fact that animals have sensation but are not capable of rational action

DISCERNING: God said that man's imagination is only evil continually. Paul outlawed "doubtful disputation" among the Romans. That prohibits all that does not edify which here means to EDUCATE.  In Romans 15 Paul continues to prohibit SELF pleasure which identifies rhetoric, singing, playing or drama. That enables "Using one mind and one mouth to speak that which is written for our learning."

We are washed in water into the WORD or into the School of Jesus Christ: that is limited to the Prophets by Christ, the prophecies made more certain by Jesus, certified by signs and wonders and written for our memory (2 Peter 1). Peter said that was not to be privately interpreted or further expounded. Anyone who did not PREACH the Word (only) by READING the Word commanded by Christ from the Church in the wilderness onward is a FALSE teacher. A holy spirit is A good conscience, consciousness or a CO-perception of the Word.  In 2 Corinthians 3 Paul said that gives us the power to read BLACK text on BROWN Paper.  God does not give discernment beyond the sacred pages but He MAKES the instrumental idolaters at Mount Sinai so that they cannot READ the Text nor can they HEAR it when it is READ in the synagogue and church of Christ.

I am using a diagram from 3dm about God’s timing or Kairos.
        “Kairos” is God’s timing (as compared to “Chronos”,
        which is sequential timing as indicated by a watch or calendar).

I am sorry but Kairos is the Demon Son of Zeus.  Kairos is the grandson of Chronos but has identical functions. All of these "gods" connect to Lucifer the singing and harp-playing prostitute in the garden of Eden and to Abaddon or Apollyon in Revelation.  Apollyon is unleased from the pit as the king of the Locusts which are the MUSES called sorcerers in Revelation 18: they are agents of the Babylon mother of harlots (the Easter - Christmas thing) who HAD deceived the whole world.  The sorcery word identifies the end time holy harlot church with the beginning Babylon mother of harlots.

Kairos occurs “when the eternal God breaks into your circumstances with an event that gathers some loose ends of your life and knots them together in His hands” (Breen and Cockran in “Building a Discipling Culture” The lynn Anderson thing).

“Kairos” time occurred when God sent Jesus into the world (Gal. 4:4-5) or when He led Peter to enter the house of Cornelius. It occurs when “the kingdom of God comes near” and we “repent and believe the Good News” (Mark 1:14-15).

THE KAIROS OF THE FIRST ADVENT

Mark 1:14 Now after that John was put in prison,
        Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
Mark 1:15 And saying, The time  kairos] is fulfilled,
        and the kingdom of God is at hand:
        repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Jesus was sent when the KAIROS TIME was for the end of the "worship of the starry host imposed because of musical idolatry at Mount Sinai."  It would be TIME for the Jews Covenant with Death and With Hell to be terminated.  It would be TIME for the majority of the Jews to experience the baptism of WIND (not a spirit person) and FIRE. It was Time for the chaff perhaps a million Jews to be cast into hell just outside of Jerusalem.  For the godly people, Christ in the prophets defines how they were QUARANTINED from the Monarchy system now the PATTERN for the progressives.

Everything prophesied about Messiah had to be fulfilled and the "filth of blood and dung" washed out of Jerusalem as the first order of business.  This would be a SPIRIT of JUDGMENT and BURNING.  The Kingdom began with the 120 still alive in Jerusalem out of millions of Jews..

He DISABLED the Scribes and Pharisees (Doctors of the Law) by marking them as HYPOCRITES. Consistent with this the end time KAIROS-ETHOS is to dismantal the RESURRECTED covenant with death and hell.

c. BC 4000 began the hostile attack of the SUMERIANS who took the people captive and REJECTED the freedom God gave when He created the earth NOT Void and Empty (Isaiah 45). As prophesied by Moses it would not be the END KAIROS until God sent "another prophet like me.

The KAIROS time was when God made Jesus of Nazareth both Lord and Christ. The FIRST part of the TIME was to disarm the Jews "Covenant with Death and Hell."  Only a tiny Remnant of the Jews would be saved and the predestination of the Jews would be debunked.

The Kingdom of God does not come with observation: that means religious observations where Lying Wonders includes rhetoric, singing, playing instruments, acting or dancing.

All of these men have spread the "Instrumental Music" delusions which is how Paul defines those whom God has sent strong delusions.  Who has been more slandered and blasphemed for almost exactly 100 years than what they call ANTI-instrumental churches of Christ. If you say that God commanded or permitted musical instruments when Scripture from Genesis to Revelation attributes it to the Serpent (Zoe) as the singing and harp-playing prostitute then you do so despise the Word of God and that is defined as blasphemy.

From Genesis to Revelation, the use of machines to make a twang, clang, blow or tinkling sound has been the exclusive assignment of females or if men "drunk, perverted or just mocking other" including Jesus Christ.  This vocal or instrumental rejoicing with less than manly rhetoric, in the Bible and recorded traditions, has as its "father-mother" the Devil--who speaks on his own--and his angels.

It is not possible to make a MUSIC connection to the Church of Christ (the Rock) from the wilderness onward without telling the Spirit OF Christ that He is a liar.  If you say that God commanded "instrumental praise" (Rick Atchley and followers), and God in fact has ABANDONED those-and-these of his proof text to Worship the Starry Host (Missed Acts 7?).  This was the Apollo, Abaddon, Apollyon and Dionysus Sabazianism or Star Worship to which the Civil-Military-Complex was abandoned without redemption because of instrumental idolatry at Mount Sinai.

This same Apollo (Abaddon, Apollyon) defines the SERVICE of the Levites who were Soothsayer-Sorcerers and their NOISE was called EXORCISM as they were slaughtering types of their gods-kings and INFANTS just before and just after Rick Atchley etal's proof text.



RIGHT ON THE PROPHESIED TIME OF THE RISE OF THE MOTHER GODDESS WORSHIP:

Dr. David Lavender, Ms. Rhonda Lowry and Dr. Jackie Halstead are diligently working for the University to introduce what they call "spiritual formation" into the life of the church. What better way to implement their desired changes than by involving church leaders in practices borrowed from paganism, medieval Catholicism and New Age practitioners. Teaching them the joys of contemplative prayer, to use breath prayers, to light candles for ritual prayers, to walk in labyrinths, to take pilgrimages and to seek their spiritual center is supposed to make them more spiritual as leaders of the Lord's church. Their Retreat to the Catholicism's Mercy Convent to draw near to God is especially impressive. There are spiritual seminars by men like Rev. Glandion Carney of St. Peter's Anglican Church and Dr. Gary Moon of the Dallas Willard Center for Spiritual Formation. The coordinators of this program must be wiser than the Holy Spirit, for He failed to include such a regimen in the Bible he inspired.

Clement of Alexandria; Now the grave of the debauched boy is the temple and town of Antinous. For just as temples are held in reverence, so also are sepulchres, and pyramids, and mausoleums, and labyrinths, which are temples of the dead, as the others are sepulchres of the gods. She also predicts the ruin of the temple, foretelling that that of the Ephesian Artemis would be engulphed by earthquakes and rents in the ground, as follows:-

She says also that the temple of Isis and Serapis would be demolished and burned:-

Carol Wimber of Vineyard and Fuller promotes music as generating a sexual-like climax with the spirit--just before the final act of "giving of substance." Plato also defines this as the PRODUCE of musical performers.

Rick Atchley etal says that God commanded Hezekiah to worship with instrumental music. Giving Attendance to the READING and MEDITATING on the WORD (logos) is the ONLY worship concept Christ permitted for the Church in the Wilderness or in the Assembly, Ekklesia, Synagogue or School of Christ.

Of the Jacob-Cursed Levites abandoned to worship the Starry Host and now Purpose Driven by a collection of Kings (keynoters) for a day have no traditional or Biblical evidence but that they are Sons of The Devil--they speak on their OWN says Jesus:

It is also possible to understand the term rp'm as "the assembly of the gods." The entire premise of Jacobsen's article "Primitive Democracy," is that the groups and assemblies on earth reflected what the gods had done in heaven.

The word lelein is fundamentally an onomatopoetic one, meaning, as Thayer's Lexicon puts it, to go 'la-la'.  The Greeks shouted 'alala' both in worship and in war, and personified Alala as a deity (Pindar, Fr. 208 [78]; Plutarch 2.3496).  It was this same repetitive and meaningless syllabification in pagan prayers which Jesus described: 'for they think they shall be heard for their much speaking' (Matthew 6:7)

A quote comes from Theodoret after singing as an ACT (that legalism word) was imposed in the year 373.  However, it was in Justin Martyr's papers according to George Girardeu Thus the unknown author of a treatise among Justin Martyr's works:

Quest. If songs were invented by unbelievers with a design of deceiving, and were appointed for those under the law, because of the childishness of their minds, why do they who have received the perfect instructions of grace, which are most contrary to the aforesaid customs, nevertheless sing in the churches just as they did who were children under the law?

Ans. Simply singing is not agreeable to children, but singing with the lifeless instruments and dancing and clapping; on which account the use of this kind of instrument and others agreeable to children is removed from the songs in the churches, and there is left remaining simply singing.

THE ANCIENTS BEFORE THE POST-LITERATE ERA OF THEOLOGIANS KNEW THE MEANING OF MUSIC

Aristot. Nic. Eth. 1102b.1 But there also appears to be another element in the soul, which, though irrational, yet in a manner participates in rational principle. In self-restrained and unrestrained¹ people we approve their principle, or the rational part of their souls, because it urges them in the right way and exhorts them to the best course; but their nature seems also to contain another element beside that of rational principle, which combats and resists that principle. LITERATE PEOPLE UNDERSTOOD THE REGULATIVE PRINCIPLE:

But whereas in the body we see the erratic member, in the case of the soul we do not see it; nevertheless it cannot be doubted that in the soul also there is an element beside that of principle, which opposes and runs counter to principle （though in what sense the two are distinct does not concern us here. The Word or LOGOS is the Regulative principle: it is the opposite of personal opinions, personnal references, rhetoric, poetry, music, playing instruments, acting or dancing.

1 According to the psychology here expounded, the intellect ‘has a plan or principle,’ in the sense of understanding principle, and being able to reason and make a plan: in other words, it is fully rational. The  part of man's nature ‘has a plan or principle’ in so far as it is capable of following or obeying a principle.

There is no command, example or remote inference of any musical content to the synagogue or Church of Christ (the Rock) in the wilderness.
From Genesis to Revelation the Devil (Lucifer, Zoe, Abaddon) involves both the DECEPTIVE and SEXUAL PERVERSION of musical performers who are called PARASITES. Even in a sexual sense no one can deny that music has been the "machine" for breaking down morality and chasing a  lot of good people OUT of churches now Purpose Driven into Theaters for Holy Entertainment. 

SO, WHY DO YOU SUPPOSE THAT ONCE-CHRISTIAN COLLEGES HAVE BONDED TOGETHER TO LIE, CHEAT AND STEAL THE CHURCH HOUSES AND DESTROY FAMILIES?

In the words of Rubel Shelly of the Aztec as patterrn: "those being INVADED become hostile and mount an attack on the invaders." Wow! Now you know why Jesus would and will not pray for the WORLD (The Cosmic worship provided by Randy Harris to the band of ACU, Pepperdine, LU and the NACC.  And He said that God HIDES form the wise or SOPHISTS meaning preachers selling their stuff, singers, instrument players and actors. To PRETEND that those being attacked cause CONFLICT is part of the Lying Wonders produced by those God has sent strong delusions so that they believe their own lies and be Purpose Driven into "hell" (Christ in Isaiah 30)  and the Lake of Fire:

John Mark Hicks: The “progressives” used the principles of Scripture to regulate their practice while the “conservatives” followed the specifics of the Scripture as their regulatory authority. This difference regarding the regulative principle goes back to Geneva (Calvin) vs. Zurich (Zwingli).     The Christian Standard took the progressive (broader) view which emphasized principles and expediency while the Gospel Advocate took the conservative (stricter) view which emphasized specified authority and prohibitive silence.

He claims that we should not discuss the POSITIONS but begin with the personalities in conflict. No doubt many conflicts are caused by stubborn personalities.  And it was claimed a hundred years ago that those who REFUSED to give up their building and flock were sowing discord and were "sons of perdition."  However, God is God and He is not: he RESOLVES all conflict when APT elders teach that which has been taught and EJECT those who do not PREACH the WORD (Logos-regulative principle) by READING it for COMFORT and DOCTRINE. GOD does not resolve conflict with the WORLD or VIPER RACE for whom Jesus refused to pray.

Randy Lowry and his team claims to Resolve Conflict. Their thesis is that churches of Christ which never used instrumental "music" since the Church Christ (the Rock) outlawed it in the wilderness. The symbol of the Bacchic orgies. is a consecrated serpent. Moreover, according to the strict interpretation of the Hebrew term, the name Hevia (Eve), aspirated, signifies a female serpent.
