Aristoph. Lys. 388 Have the luxurious rites of the women glittered
Their libertine show, their drumming tapped out crowds,
The Sabazian Mysteries summoned their mob,
Adonis been wept to death on the terraces,
As I could hear the last day in the Assembly?
For Demostratus—let bad luck befoul him—
Was roaring, “We must sail for Sicily,”
While a woman, throwing herself about in a dance
Lopsided with drink, was shrilling out “Adonis,
Woe for Adonis.” Then Demostratus shouted,
“We must levy hoplites at Zacynthus,”
And there the woman, up to the ears in wine,
Was screaming “Weep for Adonis” on the house-top,
The scoundrelly politician, that lunatic ox,
Bellowing bad advice through tipsy shrieks:
Such are the follies wantoning in them.
Strab. 15.1.8 They say, also, that the Sydracæ (Oxydracæ) are descendants of Bacchus, because the vine grows in their country,

whenever they appear in public, it is with beating of drums, and are dressed in flowered robes,

As soon as Astyages heard, he sent a threatening message to Cyrus: “Nevertheless, Cyrus shall not rejoice”; [2] and with that he took the Magi who interpreted dreams, who had persuaded him to let Cyrus go free, and impaled them; then he armed the Medes who were left in the city, the very young and very old men. [3] Leading these out, and engaging the Persians, he was beaten: Astyages himself was taken prisoner, and lost the Median army which he led.

Hdt. 3.159 Thus Babylon was taken a second time, and when Darius was master of the Babylonians, he destroyed their walls and tore away all their gates, neither of which Cyrus had done at the first taking of Babylon; moreover he impaled about three thousand men that were prominent among them; as for the rest, he gave them back their city to live in. THEY SAY THAT DEMONS CANNOT BLUSH. They say that those whom the gods hate, they first drive mad. The Holy God promises strong delusions to those who do not love Holy Scripture. I would say that fabricating your own SINGING to keep from SPEAKING that which is written for our LEARNING, will prove that you do not comprehend that HE is God and those who STAND in their holy place has and will continue to drive the "little people" away.

On the whole, only women and effeminate men fell into this folly of musical worship
Worship.Androgyny.The.Pagan.Sexual.Ideal.html
Pi.N.7.81 Pindar, Nemean Odes 7"Philodemus considered it paradoxical that music should be regarded as veneration of the gods while musicians were paid for performing this so-called veneration. Again, Philodemus held as self deceptive the view that music mediated religious ecstasy. He saw the entire condition induced by the noise of cymbals and tambourines as a disturbance of the spirit.
He found it significant that, on the whole, only women and effeminate men fell into this folly.
Accordingly, nothing of value could be attributed to music; it was no more than a slave of the sensation of pleasure, which satisfied much in the same way that food and drink did.
"Hebrew music... was used in the luxurious times of the later monarchy the effeminate gallants of israel, reeking with perfumes, and stretched upon their couches of ivory, were wont at their banquets to accompany the song with the tinkling of the psaltery or guitar (Am. v1. 4-6), and amused themselves with devising musical instruments while their nation was perishing... music was the legitimate expression of mirth and gladness, and the indication of peace and prosperity." (Smith's Bible Dictionary, Music, p. 590).

Shiloh” means "the bringer of peace" and is speaking of Christ, who is the Bringer of Peace. Remember, Judah is the tribe through which Christ was to come. (Fulfilled in Luke 3:33). In order to know that Christ was the true Messiah, the tribal identity of Judah had to be in existence. The records of which tribe each Jew was a descendent from were kept in the temple at Jerusalem. These records were available to anyone questioning Christ's authority as the Messiah. This prophecy (Genesis 49:10) states that these records identifying Judah and his descendents would be in existence until Shiloh (Christ) came. These records were in existence until they were destroyed in 70 A.D. by Titus, a general in the Roman army. He attacked Jerusalem, destroyed it and scattered the Jews world-wide.

THE SYNAGOGUE AFTER SCRIPTURE AND EDERSHEIM
The Synagogue by John Calvin
No instrumental noise Permitted: who would such mind-altering when Jesus is speaking?
synagogue, also spelled synagog, in Judaism, a community house of worship that serves as a place not only for liturgical services but also for assembly and study. Its traditional functions are reflected in three Hebrew synonyms for synagogue: bet ha-tefilla (“house of prayer”), bet ha-kneset (“house of assembly”), and bet ha-midrash (“house of study”). The term synagogue is of Greek origin (synagein, “to bring together”) and means “a place of assembly.” The Yiddish word shul (from German Schule, “school”) is also used to refer to the synagogue, and in modern times the word temple is common among some Reform and Conservative congregations.
