In Ephesians 4 Paul DENIED Unity in diversity and commanded that the elders remove the cunning craftsmen or SOPHISTS which are speakers, singers or instrument players. Paul denied that they were just University-Level ignorant but THEY ARE LYING IN WAIT TO DECEIVE.

Rom. 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord,

1.  The TESTIMONY of Jesus IS the Spirit OF Prophecy.
2.  Words translated as SPIRIT literally mean WIND.  It is used figuratively of God's BREATH.
3.  Spirit CANNOT and HAS NOT been used to define a PERSON.
If The Spirit OF God or OF Christ was a PERSON it would be an insult to use the article THE.
Addressing him as "THE MIKE COPE" might be an insult.
4. Jesus SPAKE and never SANG God's Spirit WITHOUT METRON most often meaning Musical Meter. Therefore that is nothing metrical in the whole Bible because everyone knew that EVIL MEN SET THEIR LIES TO METER TO DECEIVE THE SIMPLE MINDED.

Mike Cope: I heard very little about the Holy Spirit or the Trinity growing up Like Alexander Campbell himself, many of us were afraid that a focus on the Spirit would lead to emotional excesses.

Campbell being a student of John Calvin and others knew enough not to blaspheme. 1.The fanatics wrongly appeal to the Holy Spirit Those who, rejecting Scripture, imagine that they have some peculiar way of penetrating to God, are to be deemed not so much under the influence of error as madness. For certain giddy men have lately appeared, who, while they make a great display of the superiority of the Spirit, reject all reading of the Scriptures themselves, and deride the simplicity of those who only delight in what they call the dead and deadly letter. But I wish they would tell me what spirit it is whose inspiration raises them to such a sublime height that they dare despise the doctrine of Scripture as mean and childish. If they answer that it is the Spirit OF Christ, their confidence is exceedingly ridiculous; since they will, I presume, admit that the apostles and other believers in the primitive Church were not illuminated by any other Spirit. None of these thereby learned to despise the word of God, but every one was imbued with greater reverence for it, as their writings most clearly testify. And, indeed, it had been so foretold by the mouth of Isaiah. For when he says, "My Spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever," he does not tie down the ancient Church to external doctrine, as he were a mere teacher of elements; he rather shows that, under the reign of Christ, the true and full felicity of the new Church will consist in their being ruled not less by the Word than by the Spirit OF God. Hence we infer that these miscreants are guilty of fearful sacrilege in tearing asunder what the prophet joins in indissoluble union. Add to this, that Paul, though carried up even to the third heaven, ceased not to profit by the doctrine of the law and the prophets, while, in like manner, he exhorts Timothy, a teacher of singular excellence, to give attention to reading, (1 Tim. 4: 13.) This is Paul's unique word for worship in Spirit and in Truth: give attention or give heed. This is the same word in Hebrew used by David when he "worshiped" and sang songs upon his bed and meditated in his heart. And the eulogium which he pronounces on Scripture well deserves to be remembered, viz., that "it is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect," (2 Tim. 3: 16.) What an infatuation of the devil, therefore, to fancy that Scripture, which conducts the sons of God to the final goal, is of transient and temporary use? Again, I should like those people to tell me whether they have imbibed any other Spirit than that which Christ promised to his disciples. Though their madness is extreme, it will scarcely carry them the length of making this their boast. But what kind of Spirit did our Saviour promise to send? One who should not speak of himself, (John 16: 13,) but suggest and instil the truths which he himself had delivered through the word. Hence the office of the Spirit promised to us, is not to form new and unheard-of revelations, or to coin a new form of doctrine, by which we may be led away from the received doctrine of the gospel, but to seal on our minds the very doctrine which the gospel recommends. The Casual Bible Reader understood that God BREATHED, Jesus Articulated and the Writers Left US a memory so that:

Most people heard a lot: close to no one ever thought of HOLY SPIRIT as another god person REQUIRED to enable the One God the Father. The only "god" identified as a SPIRIT was Apollon or Abaddon the leader of the LOCUSTS or MUSES.

Campbell, Thomax, Trinity The relationship of Word to God was the same as the relationship of a word to a thought. And so this is the most common understanding among the church fathers. The the word is the SON of the speaker as FATHER then there is ot problem trying to sort out how a LITERAL son of god could be equal with the Father or of the same age. 1st. A word is a sign or representative of a thought or an idea,  and is the idea in an audible or visible form. It is the exact image of that invisible thought  which is a perfect secret to all the world until it is expressed. 2d. All men think or form ideas by means of words or images; so that no man can think without words or symbols of some sort. 3d. Hence it follows that the word and the idea which it represents,          are co-etaneous, or of the same age or antiquity. ....... .It is true the word may not be uttered or born          for years or ages after the idea exists, ........but still the word is just as old as the idea. 4th. The idea and the word are nevertheless distinct from each other, though the relation between them is the nearest known on earth. ........An idea cannot exist without a word,          nor a word without an idea. 5th. He that is acquainted with the WORD, is acquainted with the IDEA,          for the idea is wholly in the word. By putting together the above remarks on the term word,  we have a full view of what John intended to communicate. As a word is an exact IMAGE of an IDEA, so is "The WORD" an exact image of the invisible God. As a WORD cannot exist without an idea, nor an idea without a word,         so God never was without "The Word,"          nor "The Word" without God; or as a word is of equal age, or co-etaneous with its idea,         so "The Word" and God are co-eternal. And as an idea does not create its word nor a word its idea; so God did not create "The Word," nor the "Word" God.

Mike Cope: However, the New Testament is full of references to the ministry of the Spirit. (The Greek word “pneuma” appears over 350 times!)

There is no Scripture which speaks of THE Holy Spirit Person doing anything.

Acts 16:6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia,
        and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,

Faithful preachers MINISTER SPIRIT or THE FAITH or THE GOSPEL by PREACHING the Words of Jesus which ARE Spirit and LIFE.

        doeth he it by the works of the law,
        or by the hearing of faith?

The Wise are SOPHISTS: speakers for hire, singers, instrument players or anyone who does not obey the command to TEACH THAT WHICH HAS BEEN TAUGHT.

BUT NEVER OF A PERSON. OF is a preposition and it is a MARK that the SCHOLARS cannot ever understand that the Spirit OF Christ is HIS OWN SPIRIT.  Baptism gives one A holy spirit or A good conscience.

Mike Cope: This Spirit is the Paraclete whom Jesus promised when he said it was better for us that he leave following his resurrection. The Spirit is the moving force behind the witnessing of the early church in Acts. And the Holy Spirit is the power behind the transformation that Paul expects of those who have been baptized into Jesus.

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you

The PROMISE of the Holy Spirit was the EVANGELISTIC OFFICE given to Jesus who poured out what you see and hear in the upper room.

Jesus Christ is the another or different in being SPIRIT. He is I WILL COME TO YOU.

Mike Cope: God’s Spirit is, in the images of scripture itself, the wind that blows new life into God’s people, the river that flows from the relationship of the Trinity, and the fire that empowers and emboldens Christ- followers. We are both individually and collectively “the temple of the Holy Spirit.”

Speaking is restricted to the elders to TEACH THAT WHICH HAS BEEN TAUGHT. Ephesians 5 Speaks with being filled with the SPIRIT and in Colossians 3 using the WORD OF CHRIST.

Ephesians 5:6 Let no man deceive you with VAIN words:
        FOR because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 
Ephesians 5:7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

"When we think of filling, we usually picture a container into which something is poured or shoveled until it is full. That is not what Paul had in mind here. Paul was not speaking of being filled up; he had in mind the idea of being filled out through, or permeated by the Holy Spirit's influence.

"We often speak of being filled with anger or filled with joy. We mean that they are totally under the control of those things. That is what Paul had in mind, we are to be utterly controlled by the Holy Spirit." (MacArthur, John, Charismatic Chaos, p. 259, Zondervan).

"'Be filled' (plerosthe) is present imperative, not aorist, and means 'continue to be filled.' It challenges Christians to continue to persevere, in a present reality.'" (Is the Holy Spirit for Me, Harvey Floyd, p. 86)

"In all types of Gnosticism the highest goal of the spiritual life is the obtaining of divine substance for oneself. The Christian faith distinguishes itself from this seemingly devout but actually selfish piety by locating the focus of Christian life not in the accumulating of spirituality or spirit for oneself, but more mundanely, in giving oneself to the neighbor. In Gnosticism the goal of spiritual life is the emptying of oneself in order to be filled with divine substance--it is vertical; in the Christian faith the goal is the emptying of oneself for the human neighbor--it is horizontal. This difference of directions in energy determines the difference in types of evidence. Special 'spiritual experience' (gnosis 'puffs up,' but Christian love 'builds up' (1 Cor. 8:1b)." Mike Cope: It’s going to be quite an adventure—thinking and praying through the theme “The Spirit-Filled People of God.” Following a Prayer School led by B4 with Dan Rodriguez challenging us to be open to the fresh leading of God’s Spirit in mission.

Jesus rned against the lord, lord sayers who were musical prophesiers and wasn't lovey-dovey when He said:

This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoreth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. Mt.15:8
     Ye hypocrites [actors, singers, speakers], well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, Mt 15:7

But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Matt 15:9 [songs, sermons, etal]
