What all of this means is that your church is following the direct action of Jesus in firing the "doctors of the law" because they "take away the key to knowledge." Not only do they make a place on the backs of wage earners in violation of the tithing principle but they then BIND heavy burdens on YOUR back because they do not have a role as gainful occupation and prove it by just making up new TRADITIONS like the Pharisees.

Neither Jesus nor Paul provided a 'place' for anyone other than the evangelist.

Re-Imaging and Re-imaging are used interchangeably in the denominational world. However, RE-VISIONING or RE-IMAGING of the church and its worship is almost totally the work product of feminist theologians heavily influenced by the lesbian community.

As the Pope called for the Jubilee to redeem us all to get us back under Mother Church, the Walk to Emmaus was the protestant wing to get us to re-image or revision the "holy communion" as an evangelistic tool, now re-imaging or re-visioning is an attempt to get us all back under the MOTHER OF GOD as Ishtar, Inanna, Sophia-Zoe or Mary as Women's Power.

Yes, Woodmont got NEW GLASSES and ReVisoned the Lord's supper. Now they have held their pagan Agape in connection with their "eucharist." However, some "church lady scholar" read about the love feast held along with the Lord's Supper and said: "Now isn't that precious?" Let's do that: might sow some more discord and prove that we are BIG UNS and we can do what we gonna do "spite of hell."

While the similarity of the Lord's Supper as a memorial for the DEATH of Christ, the pagan Agape was mixed up at a few places but was condemned: how can you feed your face and remember the suffering of Christ? Paul warned about feasts with the departed or demons.

Clement of Alexandria in Pedagogue II has some harsh words for the Agape and Instrumental music.

In November 1993 a "Re-Imagining" conference for women was held in Minneapolis. Those who attended this conference sang songs to Sophia [mythological black virgin & goddess of wisdom], & declared that Sophia was the Creator God.

Sophia's daughter, ZOE is called THE BEAST and the female instructring principle. She forces the little Jehovahs to form musical worship teams to worship SOPHIA AND ZOE.

They also declared they were created in "her" image and were taught exercises in "pranic healing". [Prana is the yoga name for breathing exercises, which according to occult teachings, opens up the power of the "serpent force" in visualization techniques.]

Also declared was that atonement [The blood of Jesus] was not needed, but that we become better from "the god within". Other ancient pagan doctrines were taught. For instance, one feminist at the conference taught that if you need energy, you can get it from the sun or ask a tree to give you some it's "life energy".

For those who have studied the occult, you will recognize that these are the beliefs the the largely feminist group of witches known as WICCA. They also have a female creator they refer to as "The Great Mother", "The Devine Mother", and "The Queen Of Heaven". Their ancient pagan doctrine also denies the need for atonement, believes that there is power in plants & celestial bodies, and the god within.

However, this conference was not a gathering of witches. It was a conference associated with the World Council Of Churches! The conference was attended by over 1500 people from Presbyterian, United Methodist, Lutheran, Roman Catholic, United Church of Christ, and other "mainline" denomination churches. They, like the doctrines of ancient witchcraft, believe they were created in the image of the goddess and participated in like worship of the "Sophic" queen of heaven.

There was another conference in 1998. Fortunately the attendance dropped to about 900.

"Do not trust in deceptive words, saying, 'This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord...' will you... offer sacrifices to Baal and walk after other gods that you have not known, then come and stand before Me in this house, which is called by My name, and say, 'We are delivered', that you may do all these abominations?" In Greek and Roman mythology there are nine secondary goddess called Muses.
        They were the daughters of Zeus.
       These were the goddesses [in part] of the arts, drama, music, and the power behind them.

The Muses were: Clio (history), Calliope (epic poetry), Erato (love poetry), Euterpe (lyric poetry), Melpomene (tragedy), Polyhymnia (song, rhetoric, and geometry), Thalia (comedy), Terpsichore (dancing), and Urania (astronomy and astrology).
         In fact the word "music" is derived from Muse, and means "art of the Muses".
         A more definitive way of putting it would be "art of the goddesses".

It is interesting to see that the "art of the goddesses" is also being used today in a psychological manner; even in the church. This is seen especially in The Church Growth Movement. For instance, CGM forerunner Bill Hybels of Willow Creek Community Church [a church into using drama and music to reach people] says,

"A person's resistance to persuasion is very high when spoken to...
but very low when exposed to drama and music.
We communicate truth through the back door. People don't even know it's happening." Daily Herald, May 18, 1988.

We can explain this by saying that the arts of the Muses have a power to lower resistance in order to persuade a person's thinking, and subtly at that [which is disturbing]. We can see the concepts of this same myth used by marketing psychology in radio and TV commercials. Commercials use music and drama to affect our minds in this manner. The power to transform.

The MUSES were servants of Apollo or Abaddon or Apollyon in the book of Revelation. In legend (which had a real life component) the Muses were turned into GRASSHOPPERS or LOCUSTS known as "musical performers." They are DUG UP AGAIN but will again be driven back as they serve the Babylon Whore of Revelatioon 18.

The attempt to shock through extravagant sacrilege was present throughout the proceedings, especially in statements like one by Carter Heyward: "Listening week after week to the liturgy of the Book of Common Prayer is likely to be more damaging to women and girls than a sexy come-on by a sleazy priest."

The final ceremony of the weekend was the ritual biting of the apple to symbolize a woman's solidarity with Eve in her rebellion against male authority and phallocentric knowledge. Yawn.

Faye Short, in the United Methodist Good News magazine, says that the Conference speakers praised every imaginable religion or spirituality except orthodox Christianity, and recognized the power of every deity except Jesus Christ.

It is our belief that most Church of the Brethren members would respond with shame and dismay if they had an opportunity to hear the tapes of the speeches, seminars, and celebrations which took place in Minneapolis.

A closing communion service was replaced with a service of milk and honey, and prayers and songs addressed to “Our Maker, Sophia.”

A leader sang,’Our mother Sophia, we are women in your image; with the milk of our breasts we suckle the children…”

The audience sang in refrain, “Sophia Creator God, Let your milk and honey flow. Sophia, Creator God, shower us with your love.” The leader continued,’Our sweet Sophia, we are women in your image; with nectar between our thighs we invite a lover, we birth a child; with our warm body fluids we remind the world of its pleasures and sensations.”

The crowd responded, “Sophia Creator God, Let your milk and honey flow…”

Hymen Almost every part of the female genitals eventually became personified as a Goddess, as did the fluids associated with them. The hymen was no exception, ruled by an eponymous Goddess later considered an emanation of Aphrodite. She carried a torch in one hand, a flute in the other, and wore a crown of flowers, symbol of sexual self-knowledge and maturity. Ambrosia and nectar were originally a mixture of honey and menstrual fluid provided by Aphrodite and/or Hera. Long after Hymen was masculinized in a piece of profoundly ridiculous revision, the Goddess was invoked by calling 'O Hymen, Hymenie!' exclusively by women.

At the temple of Aphrodite at Eryx, priestesses were called “melissae”, which means “bees,” and Aphrodite herself was called Melissa, the queen bee. At the Ephesian temple of Artemis, the melissae were accompanied by transgendered priests called “essenes”, meaning drones.  Bees are classified as members of the hymenopteran order, meaning “veil-winged,” recalling the hymen or veil that covered the inner shrine of the Goddess’s temple, and the high priestess who bore the title of Hymen, presiding over marriage rituals and the Honey Moon.

Plato Ion 534a continues to speak of the female musical worship team - the Muses:

In the same manner also the Muse inspires men herself, and then by means of these inspired persons the inspiration spreads to others, and holds them in a connected chain. For the poets tell us, I believe, that the songs they bring us are the sweets they cull from HONEY-dropping founts [534b] in certain gardens and glades of the Muses-- like the BEES, and winging the air as these do.1 And what they tell is true. (Plato then explains a lot of musical worship and even preaching)

"For a poet is a light and winged and sacred thing, and is unable ever to indite until he has been inspired and put out of his senses, and his mind is no longer in him: every man, whilst he retains possession of that, is powerless to indite a verse or chant an oracle. Demosthenes Against Midias describes what the clergy tried to excite Jesus to do:

You don't have to be utterly female to get caught in the urge to rebel against male authority.

As Re-Imaging originated with Catholics and spilled over into Sophia-Zoe worship and the restoration of the pagan AGAPE which reveals female sexuality and power, it comes as no surprize that re-visioning looks mor ecatholic than Biblical. Therefore:

"As the Mother of the Logos, Mary took on attributes of the Judaic biblical figure of Sophia, or Wisdom--described in Proverbs and Ecclesiasticus as God's eternal creation, a celestial feminine being who personified divine wisdom and mediating humanity's knowledge of God.

In Roman Catholic theology, Mary was explicitly identified as Sophia. The relationship of the Old Testament Sophia to the New Testament Logos, both of which represented the divine creative and revelatory wisdom, was thus obliquely reflected in the relationship of Mary to Christ. The figure of the Virgin Mother also absorbed some of the original meaning and function of the Holy Spirit--as principle of divine presence in the Church, as comforter, as mediator of wisdom and spiritual birth, and as instrument of Christ's entrance into the world.

"Catholicism signified the disguised return to the religion of the Great Mother who had been defeated by Yahweh." (Tarnas, Richard, The Passion of the Western Mind, p. 480).

Eve or Sophia or Zoe were the mediatrix, the Mother of the gods who forced the minor "jehovahs" into organizing musical bands to praise the FEMININE GODDESSES.

The result in the garden of Eden was that Eve usurped authority and became the "female instructing principle." She has down through the ages been seen as Sophia or ZOE, and turning the males into effeminate, mindless musical worship teams has been her way to get worship for his/her self. She is Lucifer in the garden of Eden: she was a harp-playing "feminine" prostitute who, as king/queen of Tyre wanted to be remembered as "a male."

Paul understood that this pagan worship among the new Christians would be the result of authentia or sexual authority. This sexual authority is exercised every time women do not remain silent which includes being sedentary.

As women have the urge to "rearrange furniture" at the drop of a hat, she and her spiritual consorts have the overwhelming lust to rearrange the church. Christ established the church as Christian Synagogue. Synagogue is not a pagan worship center but a school of the Bible and a place to look out for the members. Therefore, the "lets change the deck chairs on the Titanic" is an eternal but especially an end-time sign of the Babylon Harlot blend of "pseudo worship, music and commerce." At its CORE it is a VISION or SYMBOL of men having not a single vestage of confidence in the Living or written Word.

After all, the Greek LOGOS which informs Dr. Shelly was Hermes or Mercury who was the father of musical worship (I.e. Jubal, Jubilee, etc.), of liars and of thieves. He is also Apollo (Abaddon, Apollyon whose Seeker Center at Delphi influenced the women in Corinth.)

It has been repeated three more times since then and the keynote speakers are always Protestant and Catholic seminary professors or clergy.

She Shelly Core Gospel holds only 7 facts ABOUT Jesus which can be used for testing faith and doctrine.

John Mark Hicks identifies the modern inventors of the "trinity of persons" as promoted by Max Lucado and Rubel Shelly. He notes that the "incarnational" views short change the humanity of Christ. This seems to deny that Christ came fully in the flesh. A Second Incarnation seems to prove it.

The Document on Origins details the ancient Babylonian "mother goddeess" RE-IMAGED as Sophia and daughter, Zoe. Sophia is the supreme and Zoe is the second in command over the Greek LOGOS which Rubel Shelly believes that John sifted out of philosophy and "his own personal agenda" to arrive at the Logos of John chapter One. We noted, however, that the Hebrew DABAR is the Hebrew personificaiton of God as WORD in Genesis.

On the Origin of the World, Eve whose mystical name is Zoe, meaning life, is the daughter and messenger of the Divine Sophia, the feminine hypostasis of the supreme Godhead:

Sophia sent Zoe, her daughter, who is called "Eve," as an instructor in order that she might raise up Adam, in whom there is no spiritual soul so that those whom he could beget might also become vessels of light.

The First Incarnation:

Whereas God ordained that elders (aged) men full of the Spirit or Word of God be His teachers on a human level, Lord Jesus Christ was THE teacher only when the elders "taught that which had been taught."

The Second Incarnation:

Now, the feminine which defines all performance preachifying and versifying of the Bible, has assigned the elders out to the pastures to be the shephers OF THE MINISTERS (paid, of course) who has the arrogance to actually claim superiority of knowledge and power.

Sophia is know as "the serpent" or source of all Wisdom and ZOE is know as the "Beast" or the female instructing principle. "She" is the feminine side of Lucifer, the harp-playing prostitute, in the garden of Eden. Promise Keepers rhetoric and materials

are laced with terms and ideas popular in the "spiritual warfare" circles
of fervid evangelical and charismatic groups.

Apocalyptic thinking - the sense that one must labor frantically as a predetermined timetable of events unfolds - often serves to unify tight-knit religious groups.

Varying degrees of such "end times" phobias have been found in cults as diverse as Peoples Temple, Aum "Supreme Truth" (Japan), Church Universal and Triumphant, and the Order of the Solar Temple.

Members are instructed to filter all events in the outside world through a "lens" which reveals a deeper level of truth. Within the ur-cultism of Promise Keepers,

this truth coincides with a "signs and wonders" tradition found in charismatics and extreme evangelicals.

Communicating the gospel in a constant flow of IMAGES that are ever challenging will SOON replace the coherent, orderly arrangement of ideas.

The SUBJECTIVE must come before the OBJECTIVE; if it doesn't, we will lose our AUDIENCE.

In one sense, thinking in images is not new. Newspapers and art have been around a long time, but people don't "read" images as they once did. No longer does the contemporary western world LISTEN to discursive messages.

The Background of Orlando 1998

"In 1993, the first (and now infamous) "Re-Imagining Conference" was held in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At that conference which was funded and sponsored in part by the WOMEN'S DIVISION of United Methodism, xiv in a spirit of

"ecumenical togetherness", exploration and experimentation,
a "new VISION THEOLOGY" was presented to the United Methodist Church and other mainline denominations.

"In Minnesota, the "goddess" Sophia was also officially introduced to the mainline Protestant church. xv Indeed, "Sophia" took center stage.

In Nashville, it was ZOE, the daughter, the true, the feminine LOGOS which "stands in the holy place (of church architecture) claiming to lead the worshipers into the presence of God. That is a claim that ZOE, the daughter, is the true Christ.

"This is the body of God for healing the bitterness of the human heart " declared Rev. Hill as women passed the milk and honey mixture around their tables. "We have seen the power, rising from the earth Together we have given birth to a Re-Imagining Community which extends to every corner of our world!" Resource

"The gathered "re-imaginers" were offered samples from Sophia's "milk and honey communion" table. The ladies in attendance celebrated this "goddess of wisdom" in a spirit of discovery. They were creating "new theology" and were receiving "new revelation" from the "goddess" of the pagan past.

If the Lord's Supper moves out into the secular world as TABLE FELLOWSHIP does this imply the new VISION to do the eucharist?

The Odes of Solomon and early orthodox Christianity compared a believer's reception of the body and blood of Christ in the eucharist to a child suckling at its mother's breast. This appears to have been connected with the wide-spread use of a cup of milk and honey in the baptismal eucharist, a visual aid to explain the Lord's nurturing presence in the sacrament. The milk analogy did not stem from symbolic uses of milk in pre-Christian religions or Gnostcism but from general beliefs about physiology coupled with Christian sacramental theology.

The feminine characteristics of the milk analogy had no significant effect on orthodox beliefs about the Godhead nor did they cause the analogy to fall out of favor at a later date. Instead, as liturgical use of the cup of milk began to disappear, so did the milk analogy.

Jubilee!

"Holy Eucharist is a Jubilee feast, the Messianic banquet, a sign of plenty. For here, God makes us guests of honor,

serves up the Body and Blood of Christ, His very self, our totem meal.

Even our doctrine of real presence, arcane theories about how God is whole in the whole and whole under each part of the hosts, are meant to reassure us: no matter how many fragments Eucharistic bread is broken into, no matter how tiny the piece we get, each receives the whole Christ, really present, loving each one into fulfillment, keeping us in eternal life beyond the grave.

Our God is "into" milk and honey, will not rest until each cup is full, running over, forever.

(Daily) Holy Eucharist teaches us to adopt God's "family values," of freedom, dignity, concrete well-being for all. Confident in Emmanuel, encouraged by God's Love with and for us, we dare to become partners in the family business, take our stand at the margins with the poor and the powerless, whomever our social order is currently leaving out. Holy Eucharist sends us out to offer cups of cold water, lunches in waiting rooms, seed-money for missions, meeting space for AA groups, sponsorship and housing. Holy Eucharist raises our voices with Mother Mary's, crying not only to God but to newspapers and government officials, shouting persistently, "Your time is now! Do something! They have no wine!"

You may have believed that the Lord's Supper was a simple memorial of the DEATH of Jesus Christ. However, singing Twila Paris (come eat the bread, come drink the wine) teaches you the Catholic Eucharist. The Walk to Emmaus teaches you the Sabbath (Saturn) view that the simple "preaching" act is a supernatural ritual. In the early church, after the public teaching was over, the members retreated to a private room to eat the supper not as an act or spectacle but as worship "in spirit" or in the human closet. Increasingly, as churches go ecumenical with Catholics and Anglicans, the Lord's Supper must be performed with arrogant hummers or singers, in their words, "making the Spirit come."

Of the feminist and lesbian re-imaging of the Lord's Supper as table rather than simple "showing forth" or PREACHING the death of Christ it is noted that:

"The ladies in attendance reverently approached Sophia's tempting table -- and took a bite from the "new" sacramental offering of change.

We noted above that this was "biting an apple" to signify their solidarity with Eve or Zoe, the female instructing principle filling pulpist and "worship rituals."

"Three years later, at the 4th Annual Re-Imagining Convention in Minnesota, "Sophia" was not alone. At this 1996 Re-Imagining convocation, Sophia was again glorified -- but this time she was also joined by at least 33 other goddesses, including Isis, Ashtar-Astarte (Easter, see the sun images above), Ochun, Artemis, Aphrodite, and Diana.

The character of the chief priest shows the character of the god he represented. The contemplar divinity of Diana, the tower-bearing goddess, was of course the same divinity as invariably accompanied the Babylonian goddess.

Alexander Hislop on Ancient and Modern Babylon and the need to RE-IMAGE the Lord's Supper:

"Here it is evident that Christ is referred to as the "Word of God"; and how could any imagination ever have conceived such a parallel as is contained in this passage, had it not been for the equivoque [wordplay, double meaning] between "Dabar," "the Bee," and "Dabar," "The Word." In a Popish work already quoted, the Pancarpium Marianum, I find the Lord Jesus expressly called by the name of the Bee.

Referring to Mary, under the title of "The Paradise of Delight," the author thus speaks:

"In this Paradise that celestial Bee, that is, the incarnate Wisdom, (Sophia, ZOE, Eve, Mary) did feed. Here it found that dropping honeycomb, with which the whole bitterness of the corrupted world has been turned into sweetness."

This blasphemously represents the Lord Jesus as having derived everything necessary to bless the world from His mother! See comments on Max Lucado's Cosmic Christmas.

Surely, at every step, the reader must see more and more the exactitude of the Divine name given to the woman on the seven mountains, "Mystery, Babylon the Great"!

"Thus the apostates turned away from the "True Light," and set up a shadow in His stead. That this was really the case is plain; for, says Crabb,

speaking of Saturn,

"on his altars were placed wax-tapers lighted, because by Saturn men were reduced from the darkness of error to the light of truth."

'I'm the Lord's maid, ready to serve. Let it be with me just as you say.' As she spoke, a Light appeared in her womb. I glanced at the vial. It was empty." 103.

Evangelical leader, Max Lucado has portrayed in story form the Gnostic principle that human beings are, through their own merits, incipient vessels of the divine essence. Jay Gary would agree. From his Bimillennial Report we read:

"We must recover the simple idea that the spark of eternity has been placed within each human being. We must fan this flame, this tiny spark within each person - and insure that no government, not group, or no authority is allowed to smother or snuff out this sacred flame." 104.

Hislop continues: Surely, at every step, the reader must see more and more the exactitude of the Divine name given to the woman on the seven mountains, "Mystery, Babylon the Great"!

The priest had the Urim and the Thummim; Joseph Smith had the Urim and Thummim set in spectacle frames. Peep Stone Joe could see visions and read minds and write a book more powerful than God. Here is what Joe saw.

We anticipate with bated breath to behold the proclaimed new glasses to replace the old which NOW gives us power not available to ordinary mortals.

"In Asiatic Greece, the Babylonian god was evidently recognised as the Light-giving "Word,"for there we find the Bee occupying such a position as makes it very clear that it was a symbol of the great Revealer.

The nature of prophecy is twofold: either inspired (by visions or revelatory auditions), or acquired (by learning certain techniques). In many cases both aspects are present.

The goal of learning certain prophetic techniques is to reach an ecstatic state in which revelations can be received. That state might be reached through the use of music, dancing, drums, violent bodily movement, and self-laceration.

The ecstatic prophet is regarded as being filled with the divine spirit, and in this state the deity speaks through him.

Ecstatic oracles, therefore, are generally delivered by the prophet in the first-person singular pronoun and are spoken in a short, rhythmic style. Britannica on prophets

"In addition, there were mantics (from the Greek mantis)--i.e., visionary seers--whose visions were interpreted by prophets, soothsayers, diviners of all kinds, and especially astrologers. The impetus for much of this activity came from Babylonia. The influx of new religions from the East brought a profusion of astrologers and prophets. Many schools of astrology were founded throughout the Hellenistic world, and old schools of philosophy became very much occupied with astrology were founded throughout the Hellenistic world,

"The women also elected two women to be officials at the festival. The second day was called "nesteia" or "fasting." During this day, the women sat on the ground and fasted, reliving the mourning of Demeter.

This time of rest also allowed for the symbolic transfer of energy from the women to seeds for future crops. The women also participated in ritual obscenity and used insulting language on the second day.

A Lady reporter disputed the false claims:

"I was present at "Re-imagining," and I cannot understand how women who attended the conference can make such claims. These women, I suspect, were misled by their leaders' perfunctory attempts to link Sophia's "spirit of Re-Imagining"--with Christian Scripture and tradition. Indeed, "Re-Imagining" organizers devoted all of five paragraphs in their daily conference newsletter to what should have been a critical issue--Sophia's ostensible Christian roots.

"Throughout the conference, 50 monitors stood guard around the room, admonishing and exhorting attendees whose participation seemed less than heartfelt. Though participants had initially been told that joining in was voluntary, the conference newsletter advised that hanging back in Sophia worship would not be tolerated: "[P]articipation is intended for ALL in the gathering-rituals are not spectator events We thank you all for your fall, active, conscious participation. May Sophia continue to bless your pilgrimage."

"Lundblad declared that she "did not need Jesus" as long as she had Sophia. To cheers, she noted that "we have done nothing in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." She suggested that Jesus "appear[ed] as the child and the envoy of Sophia .... In all [his] compassionate, liberating words and deeds are the works of Sophia."

The "Re-Imagining" participants were happily engaged in that most modem of enterprises: worshipping themselves, right down to the "bodily fluids"

Clearly, as the deity of "Re-Imagining," Sophia is the answer to the prayers of a multi-cultural, therapeutic world. She is "tolerant"-

she does not judge, nor does she recognize any sin but the corporate transgressions of racism, sexism, and classism. Sophia has only one commandment-"Freely bless your own experience."

Those who claim to be re-imagining Christianity get headlines about a "second reformation." They get endowed chairs at seminaries, money, power, legitimacy, and a captive audience that must be the envy of the self-declared followers of Wicca. Sunday with Sophia Katherine Kersten

"Captain Edward Johnson, in about 1631, wrote on what became Harvard University. The learned, reverend, and judicious Mr. Henry Dunster had received a patron for establishing a college. And he notes:

"And as in all the other passages of this history the Wonder-working Providence of Sion's Saviour hath appeared, so especially in this work, the Fountains of learning being in a great measure stopped in our native Country at this time, so that the sweet waters of Shilo's streams must ordinarily pass into the Churches through the stinking channel of prelatical pride, beside all the filth that the fountains themselves were daily encumbered withal, insomuch that the Lord turned aside often from them, and

refused the breathing of his blessed Spirit among them,
which caused Satan (in these latter days of his transformation into an Angel of light)
to make it a means to persuade people from the use of learning altogether,

that so in the next generation they might be destitute of such helps as the Lord hath been pleased hitherto to make use of, as chief means for the conversion of his people and building them up in the most holy faith,

as also for breaking down the Kingdom of Antichrist."

The Mormons have a fix for that learned by the most primative of ancient tribalism: when the group gets somewhat over 150 members then you locate a new "swarming" place, build it and send half of the members to their own community church.

I'll bet before Don Finto and crowd, the elders believed that they WERE the leaders of the church. That was before they were invaded by philosophers, communicators, actors, musicians and the rest of the theatrical crowd. Paul had some advice: First, the elder is equipped by having A holy spirit. Second, his task is to "teach the Word as it has been taught and refute those who dispute it." He has no role to play in a mega-church of the social gospel which IS NOT church. Church as with synagogue is "a school of the Bible" and it needs few conflict resolution skills if He does not create the conflict or allow a hireling to burrow into the financial and "one another" fabric of a true family.

Funny, I could always find some old lady embarassed by the Cut N paste sermons and the minister-turned-master who was applauded when he loudly proclaimed how God shut Noah (noahr, down here) into the Ark of the Covenant. I know a preacher who believes that the terminal musical idolatry at Mount Sinai was by people "baptized by the Holy Spirit" and therefore a pattern for Christian worship and community. Know a fellow who believes that John got the Logos idea from philosophy (where else?). Know a fellow who knows it all but claims that the entire Bible has been sifted and therefore all we can use for faith and practice is the Core Gospel. Know a preacher who believes that "music" is a worship word in the Bible.

Paul narrowly defined "worship" as giving heed to the Word or "giving attention to the reading of the Word" and to teaching doctrine and exhorting people to follow the Word "taught as it has been taught."

This had two undergirding reasons throughout the letters:

First, the Word is God given and no preacher is allowed to "private interpret" or "further expound" that which is Spirit delivered to the saints.

Second, when you open up the "personell office" you will, as at Corinth, get super apostles who see religion as occupation. This will disqualify the "preacher" and the result will be false doctrine.

This is why the "doctors of the law" hate the epistles and claim that they are filtered through the sieve (glasses) of men with their own personal agenda.

The church can destroy itself without a mega-buck agent always sneaking around trying to concoct some new divisive scheme. We noted above from Karen Armstrong:

"Albert C. Ouler points out that the new religion of the heart and the rationalism of the Enlightenment were both antiestablishment and both mistrusted external authority; both ranged themselves with moderns against the ancients...

Many of these sects seemed to respond to the immense changes of the period by violating religious taboos. Some appeared blasphemous; some were dubbed atheistic,

while others had leaders who actually claimed to be incarnations of God. [Or perhaps the 13^th Apostle?]

One wonders why Jesus fired the "doctors of the law" who took away the key to knowledge if He intended that another clergy class emerge having their superior knowledge from the factories which manufacture doctors of the law.

On page one of the Belmont paper the following astonishing statement is made by Don Finto:

Don Finto: "We began to see that biblically there was not only an eldership in the local church, but there were apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers (Eph. 4:11) in the body of Christ and that the FULL work of God COULD NOT be realized until this five fold gifting was recognized, whatever that meant" (Yes, indeed, whatever that means).

"I began to believe on the basis of scripture (and confirmation from other leaders who were restudying this whole issue around the corner) that apostles function wider than just the local church, that pastors are stationary" (Belmont p. 2).

Does ANYONE know who was JUST AROUND THE CORNER?

"Lord, Belmont needs more than me, but I am ALL that they have and I accept it" (Belmont Paper, p. 2)

"By this time I had seen that in the New Testament, elders were appointed by apostles...by Paul and Barnabas...by Titus" (Belmont p. 2).

"The book of Timothy were written so that Timothy would know how to set elders in order in the churches. God has used me to do that in other churches" (Ibid. p. 2)

Was that Titus? Well, who worries when you have NEW GLASSES to see what you always saw before as Paul making a just flat ort mistake. After all, the CORE gospel says that "this is not truth" anyway.

For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee: Tit.1:5

Titus "pointed the men out" but Paul has appointed the order or knew who was already "laboring to the point of exhausting in preaching and teaching."

Diatasso (g1299) dee-at-as'-so; from 1223 and 5021; to arrange thoroughly, i.e. (spec.) institute, prescribe, etc.: - appoint, command, give, (set in) order, ordain.

Well, what the hay, we will then just make ourselves APOSTLES. See how to catch the vision?

First, the bad news: there is no "minister" or "ministers" or "missionary in residence" on the payroll of the local congregation.

A modern view of the "troublers" in most religious groups:

Committed to meeting consumer demands, the accommodating church must check constantly the latest shifts and fads which announce the appearance of a new "need." In all of this the secular church almost comes to resemble a delicatessen offering samples to attract customers. Its members are exhorted to be involved, to share, and occasionally, to serve.

Far less frequently are they called to serious Bible study and discipleship. The secular church

In The Necessity of Reforming the Church (1543) Calvin spoke to the claim that priests of preachers were the SOPHIA or WISDOM SERPENT in the church:

But is it not altogether at variance with reason that the ploughing oxen should starve, and the lazy asses be fed? They will say, however, that they serve at the altar. I answer, that the priests under the law deserved maintenance, by ministering at an altar;

but that, as Paul declares, the case under the New Testament is different.
And what are those altar services, for which they allege that maintenance is due to them? Forsooth, that they may perform their masses and chant in churches, for example,

partly labor to no purpose,
and partly perpetrate sacrilege, thereby provoking the anger of God.
See for what it is that they are alimented at the public expense!

Therefore, the hirelings should not anticipate anything but getting an honest job as clearly defined by Paul (if he will not work, he will not eat) and the Didache warned about "wandering purifiers" (revivalists) and men wanting to get on the minister-as-master dole.

And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the market places, Luke 12:38

And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts: Luke 12:39

Which devour widows houses, and for a pretense make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation. Luke 12:40

Second, there is nothing in the job description of either elder or evangelist which authorized organizing a congregation into a family or commune. Alexander Campbell expressed the Biblical and eternal warning against "doctors of the law" preaching the law but who did not know the law binding themselves on your back as "burdens."

"Jingling, banging, and rattling accompanied heathen cults, and the frenzying shawms of a dozen ecstatic cries intoxicated the masses. Amid this euphoric farewell feast of a dying civilization, the voices of nonconformists were emerging from places of Jewish and early Christian worship; Philo of Alexandria had already emphasized the ethical qualities of music,

spurning the 'effeminate' art of his Gentile surroundings.
Similarly, early synagogue song intentionally foregoes artistic perfection, renounces the playing of instruments,

and attaches itself entirely to 'the word'--the TEXT of the Bible" (Encyclopaedia Judaica, 1971 ed., s.v. "Music")

The church was not "commune" but synagogue or school of the Bible. In addition to teaching the Word, the church had the responsibility to look out for the poor but not "the lazy asses."

"The contracting of heavy and oppressive debts is proscribed. No brother is allowed to enthral himself or others in any sort of worldly speculations which incur either anxiety on his part or inconvenience to others. The aged, feeble, and helpless are taken care of by the brethren.

In this view of the deacon's office, we cannot but concur with the sayings and views of the primitive fathers who considered the deacons as the treasurers of the congregation, and as appointed to the service of tables, viz. the Lord's table, the poor's table, and the bishop's table.

That means that a church teaches the Word "as it has been taught" and that needs no sermonizing or versifying. Secondly, it looks out for the poor and needy. Other than that it has no other "pyramidal ministry system" and therefore no "missionary in residence."

And this agrees with Jesus and lading people with "spiritual anxiety created by religious rituals."

And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers. Luke 11:46

This burden Jesus died to remove along with the burden laders was "spiritual anxiety created by religious rituals." Therefore, Jesus put worship "in the spirit" or mind and Paul agreed so that prayer or worship was always "in the spirit." Those who attempt to facilitate your worship don't know enough to get an honest joby.

Woe unto you for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them. Luke 11:47
Woe unto you, lawyers for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. Luke 11:52

And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things: Luke 11:53

Looks like the shepherds on the hill have left the flocks out, gathered around a rock and become bundling buddies which defines the nature of a HIRELING. Why is a relationship with an unauthorized PAID SLAVE more important than with the flock?

Lynn Anderson begins:

"Aldous Huxley once wrote that human beings are "multiple amphibians"--creatures designed to make our way through many worlds at once: social, spiritual, emotional, cerebral, aesthetic, sexual, psychological, and so forth. See some Huxley thoughts here. We worship mescaline as a deity because of the non-rational images that it produces. Peyote is used by the American indians for the same reason. However, researchers have discovered that adrenalin created in Navigating the Winds of change with music and drama decays and in the process produces something like mescaline. Huxley notes that After taking the pill:

A little later there were sumptuous red surfaces swelling and expanding from bright nodes of energy that vibrated with a continuously changing, patterned life. At another time the closing of my eyes revealed a complex of gray structures, within which pale bluish spheres kept emerging into intense solidity and, having emerged, would slide noiselessly upwards, out of sight. But at no time were there faces or forms of men or animals. I saw no landscapes, no enormous spaces, no magical growth and metamorphosis of buildings, nothing remotely like a drama or a parable. The other world to which mescalin admitted me was not the world of visions; it existed out there, in what I could see with my eyes open. The great change was in the realm of objective fact. What had happened to my subjective universe was relatively unimportant.

Lynn Anderson: Sounds right to me, Mr. Huxley! Something like this can happen to faith as well. The rational, informational, and linear-sequential worlds of productivity tend to dominate in our lives these days.

Consequently, the rest of our worlds suffer neglect, and we are losing touch with much of what it means to believe.

Paul said that faith comes from hearing and faith is from hearing the Words of God.That isn't too difficult, is it?I don't believe anything I have ever heard.And when I think about my faith I just have to express that faith in "tham ole words."

Lynn Anderson: The mind-set of the times threatens to strip our faith of symbols, rituals, dramas, mystery, poetry, and story,

which say about life and God what logic and reason and rationalism can never say. See Volkism

"Harrison confessed her embarrassment over being a Presbyterian at a time when the denomination is beginning to reaffirm biblical standards for its faith and life. "Don't get me started on the heartbreak of being a Presbyterian," she said. She attacked publications like The Presbyterian Layman for exhibiting a "Jurassic Park theology " They have out resourced us "and they have won a great deal in this society." That is also happening in churches of Christ whose "burden" and "burden laders" are fading back into the woodwork until, perhaps in time, another "hatch" of honest men can resurface like those who built churches we could all be proud of.

Jesus neither prescribed any symbol other than baptism and the Lord's supper and the early church did not "do the acts" or engage in mystical symbols. Church was not a pagan worship center where acts were performed and the "drug high" was peddled as "worship." Worship occurs only in the mind and is never the work of human hands such as hand clapping to worship the gender-confused theatrical performers. Worship is in truth and the only way Paul described it is to "give heed" or give attendance to the reading of the Word.

"If this seems overstated, consider the thesis put forth by Leonard Shlain in his 1999 book The Alphabet Versus the Goddess: the Conflict Between Word and Image:

> Goddess worship, feminine values, and women's power depend on the ubiquity of the image.
> God worship, masculine values, and men's domination of women are bound to the written word.

Word and image, like masculine and feminine, are complementary opposites.

Whenever a culture elevates the written word at the expense of the image patriarchy dominates. [Then we can also assume that when a culture elevates the image at the expense of the written word, matriarchy dominates-as in Hillary Clinton and Janet Reno and Donna Shalala and female Supreme Court justices ad infinitum.] (Qtd. on page 6 of the June 1999 The Quality Paperback Book Review.)

"As an obviously agnostic and feminist (and possibly pagan) "scholar," Shlain fails to grasp the true significance of his discovery that (in the words of the June 1999 The Quality Paperback Book Review),

"the very act of reading an alphabet reinforce[s] the brain's left hemisphere
(linear, abstract, predominantly masculine)
at the expense of the right (holistic, concrete, visual, feminine)."

"It's hardly surprising, then, that in our culture literacy and morality decreased and goddess worship increased following a rising emphasis on images (picture magazines and books; television; viewscreens; video games; computer icons), or

that antichrist will employ an image to further enslave people in the tribulation.

Nor is it surprising that there was no success in any "women's movements" until Great Britain and America both abandoned the AV 1611 in favor of counterfeit "bibles", nor can there be any ecumenical success unless men abandon the AV 1611 in favor of the words of a "woman" (Rev. 17-18).... God didn't present the WORD in comic book style but for mature adults who can read and hear. Anderson and crew have gotten dissociated and hallucinated the idea that creating a theatrical spectacle is worship: it is not and is indeed pagan worship of self.

God is a rational God and can communicate in words; the pagan gods needed the symbols of food, housing, clothing, entertainment with music and even sex from the "musical worship team" which was "always know as the harem of the gods."

The Catholic church introduced symbols which are IDOLS to become "the textbook of the ignorant." Perhaps, it is only preachers who need the symbols. However, Lynn is not defining Christianity but all ancient paganism and even witchcraft:

A. The Need to Change the Wiring in our Brains For Witchcraft or Goddess Worship

1. Learning to work magic requires that a certain amout of neurological re-patterning of our brains takes place.

a. To be effective, we have to change the way we use our brains.

(1) Magic requires the development and integration of the right hemisphere (feminine) way of thinking with the left hemisphere way of thinking.

(1) By allowing the critical and analytical functions of Talking Self to relax, Younger Self may respond fully and emotionally to what happens during your magical working.

Lucifer is defined as the "singing and harp playing prostitute" in the garden of Eden. There are three groups by Jacob through Rachael. God has chosen these from Christian nations that will stand up for Him against the Lucifer, the antichrist, in these last days.

The word glossolalia came from the Greek vernacular, pneuma and lalein glossais.
It is actually a derivative of words used to describe the utterances of the worshippers of pagan Greek gods and goddesses.

The Word which can be preached is the only "leg" which props up faith. When you give up on the Word "as it has been taught" the result is faith in the preacher or theatrical performer but not in Jesus.

Lynn Anderson: Faith that is only cerebral in content and only goal-oriented in activity is "one-dimensional." There is nothing wrong with trying to understand our faith. But many of us try too hard. We attempt to explain the unexplainable, find out the indefinable, ponder over the imponderable, and unscrew the inscrutable. A life of real meaningful faith can't be treated that way. Trying to do so only leaves people with swollen heads and shrunken hearts.

I never wast my time pondering the imponderable. I just know for a fact that when Paul said SPEAK the word is defined as the opposite of POETRY or MUSIC. That is because whatever hallucinates as a poem--meaning a fabrication--out of a human mind is always twice or thrice removes from the truth and because "melody lacks sincerity" says the Classics claiming that when people begin to chant or sing they intend to inchant you out of your purse and too often pants.

The Bible makes it clear that FAITH that does not COMPLY is not a real faith.  Therefore, the word BELIEVETH demands COMPLIANCE in baptism.  This relationship of Mark 16 is identical to Greek literature which means that you to call Isaiah, Malachi, Jesus, Peter and all historic scholars bald faced liars. We know that Jesus said my WORDS are SPIRIT and faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. The CORPORATE "institute" has no other goal than to "sing that which is written" and "teach that which has been taught." Then we can leave the SECRET things to God.

That is what we have been trying to say. However, it has been the Wind Navigators taking away the key to knowledge in an attempt to artificially induce change among people who see no need to change from say, beliving in the mystery of baptism to rejecting it as a pure symbol of the act of an irrational, non-rational God.

Lynn Anderson: God is too vast and mysterious to be confined to linear-sequential thinking and production-oriented activity.

Fred Peatross: Earlier generations grew up in an oral world where they engaged the world through proverbs, stories, and relationships. Issues were dealt with in terms of their effect on their family, neighbors, and the relationships, they had.

After this there came a literate world where people thought in terms of propositional claims, theory, and conceptualization, and where they developed ideas in linear discourse.
