NOTE: I will be adding supporting SCRIPTURE to prove that THE LORD IS THAT SPIRIT, THE HOLY SPIRIT, THE SPIRIT OF JESUS ETAL..  Follow along IF you are a DISCIPLE WHO CONTINUES IN THE WORDS OF CHRIST. Otherwise you might enjoy apostates selling you their own silly Praise Songs.

IN THE MEAN TIME I WILL CONTINUE TO ADD TO THE BOOK OF ACTS WITH FEW OF MY WORDS.
I will add some of the ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN Bible proof that the World is occupied with TWO RACES:

FIRST: Those who Natural, Earthly, Dust or ABORIGINES Lacking SPIRIT

SECOND: A small band of lost spirits IN the world (satan's kingdom) but not OF this World; pilgrims, sojourners.

The ONLY Disciples are those who CONTINUE in the WORDS of Jesus Christ.  It is dangerous to speak that which is written FOR OUR LEARNING. Learning is the only ACT engaged in by Disciples. God gave them A HOLY SPIRIT That they might know the mysteries not available to the EARTH people.  Sure! Dust and Earth identifies ABORIGINES not able (except by a miracle on Dust Adam) who, like Cain who was OF The wicked one.

Using human effort and "friendship" to make a disciple necessarily makes Disciples of False, un-Christian Discipleship.

Matt. 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,

BLESS YOUR HEART, DISCIPLES DO NOT PAY THOSE "OFFERING YOU A VARIETY OF WORSHIP SERVICES". CIVILIZED GREEKS WOULD COAT YOU WITH HONEY AND COTTON OR FEATHERS AND DRIVE YOU OUT PAST THE COUNTY LINE.

Plat. Laws 936c There shall be no beggar in our State; and if anyone attempts to beg, and to collect a livelihood by ceaseless [making Poieo meter, hymns] prayers, the market-stewards shall expel him from the market, and the Board of city-stewards from the city, and from any other district he shall be driven across the border by the country-stewards, to the end that the land may be wholly purged of such a creature. -Plato. Republic [398a] “True,” he said. “If a man, then, it seems, who was capable by his cunning of assuming every kind of shape and imitating all things should arrive in our city, bringing with himself the poems which he wished to exhibit, we should fall down and worship him as a holy and wondrous and delightful creature, but should say to him that there is no man of that kind among us in our city, nor is it lawful for such a man to arise among us, and we should send him away to another city, after pouring myrrh down over his head and crowning him with fillets of wool

Everyone was baptized in the NAME of Jesus Christ Because God gave HIM all authority and HOLY SPIRIT is simply BREATH letting us know that God CAN communicate without ANOTHER GOD.

        then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself;
        but as my FATHER hath TAUGHT me, I SPEAK THESE THINGS.

Neither Jesus, The Apostles nor the Scribes Who left us collected Eye-- and Ear--Witness ever teach ANYTHING except what God the Father puts into the MOUTH of Jesus for the LAST TIME. It was THE SPIRIT or MIND of God fully disclosing His whole WILL for all that we need for life and Godliness.

Paul said "In God we live, move and have our being".  Jesus was IN the Father and the Father was in the Son and He was never left alone.  Heaven or the Spiritual Dimension occupies the same SPACE as that of the WORLD or the Dimension of the Ecumenical or the kingdom of the Devil making war against the Kingdom of God..
John 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone;
        for I do always those things that please him.
John 8:30 As he spake these words, many believed on him.
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,

NO, PAUL DIDN'T PREACH A GOSPEL OF GRACE!

Rom. 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
Rom. 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:
        for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;

Rom. 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by

I HAVE ADDED MORE "SPIRIT" PASSAGES; THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD DOES NOT SPEAK OF ANOTHER SPIRIT; THEOLOGIANS CLAIM THAT THIS SPIRIT IS NECESSARY TO INTERPRET THE MESSAGE OF JESUS/

SPIRIT IS "MIND OR "MENTAL DISPOSITION."  All authority in heaven and earth has been given to Jesus Christ. To DEBUNK the always-pagan father, mother [spirit] and little nasty son, God displayed what Has said dozens of time, THERE IS ONE GOD.

However, you might twist Holy Scripture, the NAME or AUTHORITY of Father, Son and Holy Spirit is 'Jesus Christ the Righteous."

Jesus told the Apostles that He was God's image of Father, Son and Spirit.

John 5:43 I am come IN MY FATHER'S NAME, and ye receive me not:
        if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
John 10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not:

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life;
        and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, IS GREATER THAN ALL;

John 10:30 I and my Father

The grammar proves that Jesus is NOT God in the flesh. The ancient and modern pharisees ignore the surrounding Scripture  that He does nothing on His own.

 FOR INSTANCE THE DOCTRINE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AS ANOTHER INTERCEDING--
MAN IS BODY, SOUL (LIFE) AND SPIRIT. PAUL ALWAYS SPEAKS OF OUR FLESH AND OUR SPIRITS. God's SPIRIT is not confused nor does it GROAN because of ITS problems
Rom. 8:23 And not only they, but OURSELVES also,
        which have the FIRSTFRUITS of the SPIRIT,
            [A holy spirit or A good conscience, a co-perception of the Word]
        even WE ourselves GROAN within OURSELVES,
        waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body
Spiritual parallels: COMPARING SPIRITUAL THINGS WITH SPIRITUAL: NOT YOUR OPINION.

Mark 14:38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
        The SPIRIT truly is ready, but the FLESH is weak.
Rom. 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing:
        for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom. 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Rom. 8:5 For they that are AFTER the FLESH do MIND the things of the flesh;
      but they that are after the SPIRIT [do MIND] the things of the Spirit.
Rom. 8:24 For we are SAVED BY HOPE but hope that is seen is not hope:
        for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
Rom. 8:25 But if WE HOPE for that we see not,
        then do we with patience wait for it.

THE NEW TOPIC IS THAT THE SPIRIT (NO HOLY) IS OUR HELPER. OUR SPIRIT  IS NOT FLESH.

Rom. 8:26 Likewise the SPIRIT also helpeth our infirmities: [FLESH-
        for we know not what WE  [FLESH] should pray for as we ought:

..........and restore the elders to their Bible functions.
..........But will they do it? Prof. T. B. Larimore once held a meeting that continued five months.

    At the last sermon there were five confessions, and he said the meeting closed "too soon."

continue one year. He is only seventy-two. Burnett's Budget

"The bishops to feed the flock, the deacons to serve in secular affairs, and the evangelists to carry the good news to the world.
That is God's system. You can not beat it, unless you are wiser than God.

"Some of the hired pastors are announcing that they are ready (in June) to take the field and hold summer meetings.
..........That is right. Let them go out. Give the elders a chance.
..........They have been lying on the shelf eight months.
..........Put them to work at their God-ordained duties.
..........It is better to have the churches in Bible order three months than not at all.
..........The warm-water evangelists can do some gospel work between now and October.

"When the churches of Christ restore the eldership,
..........and quit hiring preachers to feed the flock on Lord's day,
..........there will be preachers to do missionary work. Also money to pay them for their services.

At present it requires all the money of the churches to pay the salaries of the hired preachers,
..........who bring the gospel to the churches,
..........to keep the elders and members converted,
..........and there is no money to send the gospel to the world.
..........Evidently, you have the muzzle of the gun pointed back- wards. About face!

"It transpires that no hired preacher has yet found the chapter wherein we can read
about the one-man pastor hired to feed the flock on Lord's day, in place of the elders.

"The BUDGET has a medal for the Bible college that can turn out a young preacher with an ambition
to go out in the world and preach the gospel and baptize two thousand people,
and not sit down on some city church as pastor. Have you heard of the college, or seen the preacher?

> "If churches would learn to do their own work and lean upon their own God --
..........develop strength, instead of the preacher's support,
..........put the preacher in the mission field and weak places where they ought to be,
..........the dictator, church-destroying, located minister would be outlawed." -- David Lipscomb

> "To employ men to preach the gospel in a Christian congregation is a satire upon that congregation which employs them.
..........It is the duty of every Christian to proclaim the word to those ignorant of it...

That any man is to be paid for preaching, i.e., for making sermons and pronouncing them;
or that any man is to be hired for a stipulated sum to preach and pray, and expound scripture,
by the day, month, or year,
I believe to be a relic of popery." -- Alexander Campbell

Renée Sproles: "Stories or parables focuses on how stories
        can take hold of all of us, whether we realize it or not."

Matt. 13:10 And the disciples came, and said unto him,
        Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
Matt. 13:11 He answered and said unto them,
        Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven,
        but to them it is not given.
Matt. 13:12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given,
        and he shall have more abundance:
        but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

Matt. 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables:
        because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not,
        neither do they understand.
Matt. 13:14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith,
        By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand;
        and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
Matt. 13:15 For this people’s heart is waxed gross,
        and their ears are dull of hearing,
        and their eyes they have closed;
lest at any time they should
        see with their eyes,
        and hear with their ears,
        and should understand with their heart,
        and should be converted,
        and I should heal them.
Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
Rom. 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Matt. 13:16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see:
        and your ears, for they hear.
Matt. 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables;
        and without a parable spake he not unto them:
Matt. 13:35 That it might be fulfilled
        which was spoken by the prophet, saying,

        I will open my mouth in parables;
        I will utter things which have been
        kept secret from the foundation of the world.
Luke 11:49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute
Matt. 23:34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
2Pet. 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
2Pet. 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

Matthew 13:37 He answered and said unto them,
        He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
Matthew 13:38 The field is the WORLD;
        the good SEED are the children of the kingdom;
        but the TARES are the CHILDREN of the WICKED ONE
Matthew 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil;
       the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

 TIME MAGAZINE; MUSIC ON THE BRAIN

Lesions in the temporal lobe can result in so-called musicogenic epilepsy, an extremely rare form of the disorder in which seizures are triggered by the sound of music. Autism offers an even greater puzzle. People with this condition are mentally deficient, yet most are proficient musicians; some are "musical savants" possessed of extraordinary talent.

The opposite is true of the less than 1% of the population who suffer from amusia, or true tone deafness. They literally cannot recognize a melody, let alone tell two of them apart, and they are incapable of repeating a song (although they think they are doing it correctly). Even simple, familiar tunes such as Frere Jacques and Happy Birthday are mystifying to amusics,

but when the lyrics are spoken rather than sung, amusics are able to recognize the song immediately.

"This goes way beyond an inability to carry a tune," observes psychologist Isabelle Peretz of the University of Montreal. "They can't dance, and they can't tell the difference between consonance [harmony] and dissonance either.

They all appear to have been born without the wiring necessary to process music." Intriguingly, people with amusia show no overt signs of brain damage or short-term-memory impairment, and magnetic-resonance-imaging scans of their brains look normal.

There is evidently no way to help these unfortunate folks (though, admittedly, they don't know what they're missing).

But for instrumentalists, at least, music can evidently trigger physical changes in the brain's wiring.

By measuring faint magnetic fields emitted by the brains of professional musicians, a team led by Christo Pantev of the University of Muenster's Institute of Experimental Audiology in Germany has shown that intensive practice of an instrument leads to discernible enlargement of parts of the cerebral cortex, the layer of gray matter most closely associated with higher brain function.

As for music's emotional impact, there is some indication that music can affect levels of various hormones,
including
cortisol (involved in arousal and stress),

also called Hydrocortisone, an organic compound belonging to the steroid family, the principal hormone secreted by the adrenal glands. It is a potent anti-inflammatory agent and is also used for the palliative treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Use of cortisol in therapy produces the same undesirable side effects as cortisone. Both drugs have been largely superseded by such synthetic steroids as prednisolone

testosterone (aggression and arousal) and

an organic compound belonging to the steroid family and occurring as the androgenic, or masculinizing, hormone produced by the testis. Testosterone is responsible for development of the male sex organs and such masculine characteristics as facial hair and deepening of the voice. Testosterone can be manufactured by chemical and microbiological modification of inexpensive steroids, such as diosgenin. It is used clinically for treatment of testicular insufficiency, the suppression of lactation, the therapy of certain types of breast cancer, and the treatment of frigidity in women.

Eur. Ba. 305 But this god is a prophet—for Bacchic revelry and madness have in them much prophetic skill. [300] For whenever the god enters a body in full force, he makes the frantic to foretell the future. He also possesses a share of Ares' nature. For terror sometimes flutters an army under arms and in its ranks before it even touches a spear; [305] and this too is a frenzy from Dionysus...
Dionysus will not compel women
        [315] to be modest in regard to Aphrodite,
        but in nature [modesty dwells always] you must look for that. For she who is modest will not be corrupted in Bacchic revelry.

Plat. Phaedrus 245a  And a third kind of possession and madness comes from the Muses. This takes hold upon a gentle and pure soul, arouses it and inspires it to songs and other poetry, and thus by adorning countless deeds of the ancients educates later generations. But he who without the divine madness comes to the doors of the Muses, confident that he will be a good poet by art, meets with no success, and the poetry of the sane man vanishes into nothingness before that of the inspired madmen

Church of Christ is a Free School of Christ taught by APT Elders: Jesus is still the only Teacher at secret and silent place when Elders Teach that Which Has been Taught and refute anyone who does not SPEAK the Word.  There are at least a dozen patterns for a Christian Assembly: the CORE is READING or SPEAKING.  Anyone who is hired to ALTER the Last Will and Testament of Jesus and their institution is probably a Cult.  The Discipling Handbook REPLACES The Jesus pattern for EVANGELISTS who MUST GO to PREACH.

BEFORE LOOKING AT ACTS: ALL LATER DAY APOSTASY IS CAUSED BY MEN AND WOMEN WHO CLAIM (or pray) WITH NARRATIVE OR OTHER THEOLOGY (MYTHOLOGY IN THE GREED), THAT A SPIRIT IS GUIDING THEM TO SPREAD HATE AGAINST OTHER THOSE WHO FEED THEIR FACE AND HAVE A NEW PATTERN THAT NEITHER GOD NOR JESUS COULD HAVE ANTICIPATED.

GOD IS THE ONLY SPIRIT AND WORDS USED INTERCHANGEABLY ARE SPIRIT, THE SPIRIT OF GOD, THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD, THE SPIRIT OF JESUS OR THE HOLY SPIRIT. THE WORDS FOR SPIRIT ARE NEVER THE NAME OF A GOD OR PERSON. RATHER, SPIRIT IS GOD'S BREATH BY WHICH HE PROJECTS HIS "MENTAL DISPOSITION" TO JESUS OF NAZARETH FOR THE LAST DAYS.

Those who repudiate universal statement that THERE IS ONE GOD. There is the MAN Jesus of Nazareth whom God MADE TO BE both LORD AND CHRIST.  When He was thirty years old he was baptized to be SANCTIFIED or given A Holy Spirit enabled to Hear God's Voice.

This ignorance leads to USURPING Holy Scripture and imposing CONTROL often by the use of MUSIC.  David Young says that violating the direct command to SPEAK the Holy Scripture and adding PERFORMANCE SINGERS which conjures up THE HOLY SPIRIT as a God which Jesus, now in heaven, sent to finish the work.

People brainwashed by decades of false teaching cannot grasp what repulses and cast out the Godly.

Jesus will not CRY nor LIFT UP: He never did the SELF-EXHIBITION thing and was despised and rejected by the WORLD, Kosmos, Ecumenical or the kingdom of the Devil.

According to the New Catholic Encyclopedia, 2003 edition, “The only direct statement of Trinitarian revelation is the baptismal formula of Matthew 28:19.”

If the Trinity doctrine rests its biblical claim on this verse, what happens if this verse doesn’t actually prove the Trinity?

Matt. 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees:
        therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Matt. 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance:
        but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear:

Matt. 3:12 Whose fan is in his hand,

"The Spirit is sometimes personified in the Bible, as in John 16:7-8, and this has led many to believe that it is a person. They do so because they do not take into account an idiom of the original Greek language. In Greek, inanimate objects which in English would be couched in the neuter gender, are given a masculine or feminine gender, if those objects are identified with any particular individual. ' For example, a chair is described as "it" in English, because it is neuter, being neither masculine nor feminine.

But in Greek that chair can be identified with its owner. If it belongs to me, the chair is described as he; if it belongs to my wife, as she.

In Egypt according to Heredotus:
    The DOVE shape is the ANTITHESIS of all Pagan ORACLES.

This was what I heard from the priests at Thebes; at Dodona, however, the women who deliver the oracles relate the matter as follows:-
"Two black doves flew away from Egyptian Thebes, and while one directed its flight to Libya, the other came to them.
She alighted on an oak, and sitting there began to speak with a human voice, and told them that on the spot where she was, there should henceforth be an oracle of Jove

Semiramis, being deified as Astarte, came to be raised to the highest honours; and her change into a dove, as has been already shown, was evidently intended, when the distinction of sex had been blasphemously attributed to the Godhead, to identify her, under the name of the Mother of the gods, with that Divine Spirit, without whose agency no one can be born a child of God, and whose emblem, in the symbolical language of Scripture, was the Dove, as that of the Messiah was the Lamb.

NOTICE THAT WORDS TRANSLATED "SPIRIT" DERIVE FROM THE WORD "GHOST."  Dictionaries, Lexicons give no room to translate SPIRIT as A God or man.  Rather, it is ONLY God who BREATHS His Mind or Mental Disposition.  ONLY Jesus hears the BREATH or Spirit and SPEAKS THE WORDS OF GOD.

AS ANTITHESIS JESUS IS "THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH'' . HE IS IN CONTROL OF THE WORLD AND PROTECTS HIS TINY BAND OF SONS FROM GOD TAUGHT BY GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST.

At the prophetic right time defined by Moses and others the SPIRIT OF TRUTH (My WORD is TRUTH) has been replaced by those who  "MUST" hear voices or CAST VISIONS to repudiate the Narrow Road, Pattern or Method and bring terror and division.

DAVID YOUNG'A NEW VERSION.
PAUL'S INSPIRED AND LOGICAL "ONCE DELIVERED" VERSION
By composing your own songs and SINGING out loud with MUSIC
You destroy the PEACE and Dissociate Minds
The wimpy burger songs sing to a paying AUDIENCE about ME

But, FILL THE AUDIENCE WITH "THE" HOLY SPIRIT" meaning A God.

THERE IS NO MUSICAL MELODY--MUCH LESS COMPLEX HARMONY--IN HOLY SCRIPTURE and in no church until after the Reformation..
YOU must UNDERSTAND the Last Will of Jesus.
You must allow PEACE to TEACH and ADMONISH
That is the Words of Christ which IS SPIRIT (John 6:63 Col 3:16)
SING destroys Teach and Admonish with God's Will
Melody is the same as Grace IN YOUR HEART
Col. 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

PAUL AGREED IN ROMANS 15: STOP THE PLEASURE OF RHETORIC, MUSIC OR SCENIC ACTS SO YOU CAN USE ONE MIND AND ONE MOUTH (UNISON) TO SPEAK THAT WHICH IS WRITTEN.  PAUL SAID THAT SONS OF THE DEVIL SPEAK THEIR OWN WORDS:

Pi.N.7.81 Pindar, Nemean Odes 7

The rich man and the poor man alike travel together to the boundary of death. [20] And I expect that the story of Odysseus came to exceed his experiences,
        through the sweet songs of Homer
[22] since there is a certain solemnity in his lies and winged artfulness,
        and poetic skill deceives, seducing us with stories,
        and the heart of the mass of men is blind.
For if [25] they had been able to see the truth, then mighty Aias, in anger over the arms, would never have planted in his chest the smooth sword—
       Aias, who was the most powerful in battle
,
Aristot. Nic. Eth. 1175b.1

But things that are akin to things of different kinds must themselves differ in kind.
        [3] A still clearer proof may be drawn
        from the hindrance that activities
        receive from the pleasure derived from other activities.

For instance, persons fond of the flute
        cannot give their attention
to a philosophical discussion [The LOGOS or Regulative Principle]
        when they overhear someone playing the flute,
        because they enjoy music more than the activity in which they are engaged;
                therefore the pleasure afforded by the music of the flute
                impairs the activity of study.

[4] The same thing occurs in other cases when a man tries to do two things at once; the pleasanter activity drives out the other, the more so if it is much more pleasant, until the other activity ceases altogether.

Hence, when we enjoy something very much, we can hardly do anything else; and when we find a thing only mildly agreeable, we turn to some other occupation; for instance, people who eat sweets at the theater do so
especially when the acting is bad.

[
5] And since our activities [of the flute] are sharpened, prolonged and improved by their own pleasure, and impaired by the pleasures of other activities, it is clear that pleasures differ widely from each other. In fact alien pleasures have almost the same effect on the activities as their own pains; since,
        when an activity causes pain, this pain destroys it,
         for instance, if a person finds writing or doing sums unpleasant and irksome;

for he stops writing or doing sums, because the activity is painful.
“Music does activate our biological rewards system, along with food, sex, drugs, and money,” explains music psychologist and professional pianist Marina Korsakova-Kreyn. There are clear biological motivations for the importance of food, sex, and drugs that science can explain — but explaining why a non-necessity like music gives us a chemical shot of pleasure is “difficult to rationalize.”

WHY RENEE SPROLES TEACHES FICTION INSTEAD OF HISTORY;

According to Korsakova-Kreyn, music immerses us in a virtual reality of emotion. “Music gives us the chills, a skin orgasm. It causes changes in our hormonal makeup. Music affects our vital signs: blood pressure, heart rate, breathing. Music can make us cry. And we can get lost in time and space while listening to music.” Of the many things we don’t yet understand about how our brain processes music is why it makes us feel emotional.

IN THE WORDS OF RENEE SPEAKING FOR THE CHURCH, THAT GIVES THE LISTENER NO POWER OVER IT. THAT IS THE UNIVERSAL MEANING OF MUSIC "TO MAKE THE LAMBS DUMB BEFORE THE SLAUGHTER."

James A. Harding, "The pastor is not a necessity. He is a FUNGUS GROWTH upon the church, the body of Christians, DWARFING its growth, PREVENTING its development of its members; and until the church GETS RID of him it will NEVER prosper as it should. In the Bible we can find all the necessities.

"I can testify from my own observation that a good eldership will lose its efficiency, and its members become both UNABLE and UNWILLING to do the work of elders, in a very few years after the employment of a pastor. And if under the pastor system a good eldership has ever developed, I have never seen or heard of the case. I don't believe that has or ever will be done." --  Gospel Advocate, May 20, 1885

The late B. C. Goodpasture used to tell of the time when James A. Harding held a gospel meeting in Clark County, Kentucky. The year was 1877. When an elder of the church was asked about it, he said it was ". . . not much of a meeting. Oh, brother Harding did his usually powerful preaching, the attendance was fair, but the results were negligible. Only little Jimmy Shepherd was baptized."

I was baptized by J.W.Shepherd about 1942. His sermon was on the STEPS TO SALVATIONS which are all contained int Romans 10

     took upon them to call over them which had EVIL SPIRITS  the name of the Lord Jesus, saying,
    We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
Acts 19:16 And the man in whom the EVIL SPIRIT was leaped on them,
     and overcame them, and prevailed against them,
     so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

WARNING BOOK WRITERS CLAIMING TO SPEAK FOR JESUS.

Acts 19:19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their BOOKS together,
      and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them,
      and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

Acts 19:35 And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?

Acts 20:26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
Acts 20:27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God
Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves,
      and to all the flock, over the which the HOLY GHOST hath made you overseers,
      to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Acts 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Acts 20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

THIS IS A DIRECT COMMAND FOR ANYONE SERVING THE WEEKLY FREE SCHOOL OF CHRIST.
WOE TO THOSE WHO MAKE EVERYONE MINISTER TO THEM TO MAKE THEM RICH AND INFAMOUS

Acts 20:33 I have coveted no man’s silver, or gold, or apparel.
Acts 20:34 Yea, ye yourselves know,
     that these hands have ministered unto my necessities,
     and to them that were with me.
Acts 20:35 I have shewed you all things,
      how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak,
      and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said,
      It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Acts 21:11 And when he was come unto us, he took Paul’s girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.

Acts 22:15 For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.
Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord

IT WAS NOT A HOLY SPIRIT PERSON WHO LED THE APOSTLES INTO ALL TRUTH;

Acts 22:7 And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
Acts 22:8 And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me,
     I am JESUS OF NAZARETH whom thou persecutest.

Acts 22:14 And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee,
      that thou shouldest know his will,
     and see that Just One,
[JESUS CHRIS] and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.
Acts 22:15 For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.
Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized,
    and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
Acts 22:17 And it came to pass, that, when I was come again to Jerusalem,
      even while I prayed in the temple, I was in a trance;
Acts 22:18 And saw him [JESUS CHRIST] saying unto me,
      Make haste, and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem:
     for they will not receive thy testimony concerning me.

Acts 28:25 And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed,
       after that Paul had spoken one word,
       Well SPAKE the HOLY SPIRIT by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,
Acts 28:26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say,
      Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand;
     and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
Acts 28:27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross,
     and their ears are dull of hearing,
     and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes,
     and hear with their ears,
     and understand with their heart,  [Believe]
     and should be converted,            [Baptized]
     and I should heal them.               [Receive a NEW, Holy Spirit]
Acts 28:28 Be it known therefore unto you,
      that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.
Acts 28:29 And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.

"Ezekiel was particularly aghast at the sun worship there and a Canaanite fertility cult, which he calls 'weeping for Tammuz. The Tammuz cult in the temple was being practiced by women, and it appears that they must bear their full share of responsibility for introducing heathen practices into Israel... to the bad record of women may be added the activities of Solomon's wives who imported worship of the gods of Moab and Ammon, and of Jezebel, the wife of Ahab, who brought with her from Phoenicia the cult of the Tyrian Baal." APOLLO IS APPOLON OR APOLLYON IN REVELATION. HE IS THE GUIDING "SPIRITUS" OF ALL OF THE LOCUSTS OR HIS MUSICAL WORSHIP FEMALES MOSTLY

Thence, swift as thought, he speeds from earth to Olympus, to the house of Zeus, to join the gathering of the other gods:

then straightway the undying gods think only of the lyre and song,
and all the
Muses together, voice sweetly answering voice,

hymn the unending gifts the gods enjoy and the sufferings of men,
all that they endure at the hands of the deathless gods,
and how they live
witless and helpless and
........... cannot find healing for death or defence against old age.

THE NINE MUSES AND THE NINE MAGPIES The Muses work for Apollo or Abaddon.

So spoke the Muse. And now was heard the sound
of pennons in the air, and voices, too,
gave
salutations from the lofty trees.

Minerva, thinking they were human tongues,
looked up in question whence the perfect words;
but on the boughs,
nine ugly magpies perched,
those
mockers of all sounds, which now complained
their hapless fate. And as she wondering stood,
Urania,
goddess of the Muse, rejoined;--

"Look, those but lately worsted in dispute
augment the number of unnumbered birds.--
Pierus was their father, very rich
in lands of Pella; and their mother (called
Evippe of Paeonia) when she brought
them forth, nine times evoked, in labours nine,

Lucina's aid.--Unduly puffed with pride,
because it chanced their number equalled ours,
these
stupid sisters, hither to engage
in wordy contest, fared through many towns;--
through all
Haemonia and Achaia came
to us, and said;--

'Oh, cease your empty songs,
attuned to
dulcet numbers, that deceive
the
vulgar, untaught throng. If aught is yours
of confidence, O
Thespian Deities
contend with us: our number equals yours.
We will not be defeated by your arts;
nor shall your songs prevail.

Acts 28:30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,
Acts 28:31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.
