1Tim. 2:5 For there is ONE God, and one mediator between God and men, the MAN Christ Jesus;
THERE IS NO SCRIPTURE WHICH MAKES FATHER, SON AND SPIRIT THREE GOD PERSONS.
ALL Scripture defines ONE GOD THE FATHER and the MAN Jesus.
Spirit in no language has been or can be the name of a person.,
Leonard Allen rejects the universally accepted Scriptures defining the Last Will and Testament of Jesus and verified as APOSTOLIC for anything being The Assembly or School of Christ.

Lipscomb University Preaching 2008 From Denominational Imagination!
"This conference proposes that WE allow the worlds imagined
in the essential biblical narratives [stories but not commandments]
to dramatically shape our PREACHING and lives.
We believe that preaching REconstitutes biblical paradigms when it engages Scripture’s vision
PREACHING IS LIMITED TO THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGOM. Romans asks: How can they PREACH unless they are SENT. Otherwise proven by the latest spawn of preachers trained by theology which is defined as MYTH and in the texts points to Apollyon.
- by REpresenting what is absent
- and making present what is inaccessible
- to the end that followers of God will live into a God-shaped reality.

Contemplative spirituality has taken the church by storm. This issue is no longer relegated to the fringe elements of Christianity. No denomination is immune to its effects, despite the fact that it is the legacy of Roman Catholic monks who merged Eastern spirituality with Christianity. We will consider several of the most prominent practices of this “Christian” mysticism, such as contemplative prayer, the prayer labyrinth, yoga, lectio divinaEur. NEVERTHELESS, LEONARD ALLEN LIFTS ISOLATED VERSES FROM THE OLDEN BIBLE TO PROVE THAT HIS TEACHING IS THAT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
Jesus said that trinitarians are BLASPHEMERS
John said that trinitarians are ANTICHRISTS.
Holy Spirit is never a proper nown: if Holy Spirit was a person using THE Holy Spirit would belittle "him."
SPIRIT is a stumbling block to theologians (rejecting the Word): it is figurative or a PARABLE meaning that God put's His WORD into the MOUTH of Jesus of Nazareth for the last time.
In this review I will try to let C. Leonard Allen do more speaking. A longer list of Scripture refuting the trinity is still located here.

All Theology Usurps Scripture: "Theology" is used only of the study of the pagan (world view) gods such as Apollo-Abaddon-Apollyon. The One God Almighty lies BEYOND theos-Logos. God is the Word, Logos or Regulative Principle. The commands to the "straight" race are to READ or SPEAK that which is written for our learning. That explains why theologians Jesus called Doctorsof the Law "take away the key to knowledge." That is their job: Scripture says that they were PREdestined and PRErecorded and are OF the World, Kosmos or the Ecumenical

Luke 10:21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced IN spirit, and said,
C. Leonard Allen: For more than two centuries Christian faith has been on the defensive
against the steady encroachment of the secular and scientific worldview.
Christian intellectuals and apologists have,
to varying degrees, sought to accommodate that WORLD view.
I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth,
that thou hast HID these things from the WISE [Sophos] and PRUDENT,
and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
God HIDES g613. apokrupto, ap-ok-roop´-to; from 575 and 2928; to conceal away (i.e. fully); figuratively, to keep secret: — hide.
From the Wise:
Leonard Allen is not a Bible Student but a Theologian. Theology is defined as MYTHOLOGY and is used of Apollyon and other pagan gods.
Christ's School of His Word, a kingdom withing a tiny group is NOT available to the WISE OR SOPHISTS.

Leonard Allen's new enlightenment or illumination does not comprehend Holy Scripture or the Historic Church Scholars. Theologians reject Father and Son and claim that A Holy Spirit God is now their source. Nether God, Jesus, The Apostles or Holy Scripture is not authentic and he is left with a SPIRIT which must either SPEAK or SHOW Himself.

Most often WORSHIP is something one does when he falls on his face in reverence and godly fear--AND humility.
Therefore, Holy Scripture never defines a person WORSHIPING by preaching or teaching, listening, singing, playing instruments or PAY TO PLAY.

BY DEFINITION, THE RARELY SEEN OR HEARD SCHOOL OF CHRIST HAS HAD THE ONLY VIEW TO BE A CHRISTIAN
John 8:26 I have many things to say and to judge of you:
but he that sent me is true;
and I SPEAK to the world those things which I have HEARD of him.
John 8:27 They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.
John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them,
When ye have lifted up the Son of man,
then shall ye know that I am he,
and that I do nothing of myself;
but as my Father hath taught me,
I speak these things.
John 8:29 And he that sent me is with me:
the Father hath not left me alone;
for I DO always those things that PLEASE him.
John 8:30 As he spake these WORDS, many believed on him.
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,
IF ye continue in my WORD, THEN are ye my disciples indeed;HOWEVER, LEONARD ALLEN AND ALL HISTORICAL THEOLOGIANS CLAIM THAT JESUS WAS LYING WHEN HE APPLIED PROPHECIES TO HIMSELF.
C. Leonard Allen: But now, with the decline of the MODERN worldview,
believers can embrace more easily the full WEALTH
of historic Christian convictions,
some of which were readily sacrificed or compromised to accommodate modernity.
Your godly mother believed that Holy Scripture as Word or Logos was Regulative Principle. It outlaws rhetoric, jestures, personal IMAGINATION, personal experiences, any poetic style, singing, playing an instrument all intended to "make the lambs dumb before the slaughter.
Plat. Laws 908d For whereas the one class will be quite frank in its language about the gods and about sacrifices and oaths, and by ridiculing other people will probably convert others to its views, unless it meets with punishment,
the other class, while holding the same opinions as the former,
yet being specially “gifted by nature'' and being full of craft and guile,
is the class out of which are manufactured many diviners and experts in all manner of jugglery;
and from it, too, there spring sometimes tyrants and DEMAGOGUE and generals, and those who plot by means of peculiar
mystic rites of their own, and the devices of those who are called “sophists.” Of these there may be many kinds;
Theologians love to say that God was to ignorant to be able to transmit his SPIRIT or MIND to men who left us a Memory of the teachings of Christ.

In addition, the purpose of this nostalgic journey
is the REHABILITATION of the SPIRITUAL sense of Scripture
or theological hermeneutics.
The READER is not passive but is the means by which God opens up NEW meaning
so that a kind of “this is that” appears “when ’that’ is something new
and apparently far removed from the original ‘this’” (217).
Theologians want to open up new meaning so that they can ignore Scripture and remove reading or speaking from individuals.
Theological hermeneutics
believing readers co-create meaning with the text
(1) within liturgical life of the church,
(2) in the confidence of the sacramental function of Scripture,
(3) the transformative presence of the Holy Spirit.

The Modern Worldview is the historic Biblical absolute that to be CHRISTIAN the only resource for faith and practice is PROPHESIED both inclusively and exclusively. Holy
Scripture is defined as the PROPHECIES CONCERNING ME. The Apostles were eye-- and ear-- witnesses of god working through Jesus CERTIFYING this as the Las Will and Testament. No one alters any dying will.
There is no Bible Scholar for several centuries who defends Leonard Allens POSTMODERN world view. The WORLD is the Kosmos, the Ecumenical or the Kingdom of the Devil makiing war against the Kingdom of the ONE LORD GOD, not so weak that He needs other gods to communicate with His Creatures into who God BREATH the Life and ability to understand BLACK text on BROWN paper.

"Theology" in the Greek world view is the study of Apollon-Abaddon. By definition a Christian is a student of God's revelation in the Prophets and Apostles. Those who have moved into a MODERN WORLDVIEW are defined as the Kosmos, Ecumenical kingdom of the Devil.

There is no Biblical or historical convictions of a trinity consisting of God, Jesus and a holy spirit person. Father-Son-Spirit are never names of "persons". God repudiated the always-pagan triads by IMAGING this world view as ONE visible-audible human person Who as ONE fulfilled all of the roles the pagans distributed among a family of gods.

In His function of communicating and building God is WORD. Word is never a person but what god SPEAKS. Jesus made the Word or Logos AUDIBLE and IMAGED when He spoke only what god the Father put in His MOUTH.

Jesus commanded that the Word be preached and that HE would be with them and us until He returns again in the flesh. The Word of God is commanded to be PREACHED by being READ on each REST DAY. Therefore, it has no statute of limitations and the uncertainty of subatomic particles does not make the Word impossible to grasp.
Theologians replace the Word of God used historically as the only source of faith and practices. Paul warned that God sends strong delusions to those who do not love the Word. Lying Wonders are religious observations--to which the kingdom does not come--identified in the NEW PARADIGM churches is all of they hypocriitic roles of rhetoric, singing, playing instruments or acting CLAIMING that they were worshiping God and even leading you into god's presence. The language of postmodern proves that rather than a CHANGE IN THE LAWS of God the "changelings" boast that their words are worthy of a wage for which there is no Scriptural or historical funding.
Practical and functional are legal or utilitarian concepts: The recovery of the always-pagan trinity of father, spirit (mother, Dove) and depraved son was practiced under the term PLAY as the always-musical women continued the worship of the Egyptian trinity made visible by the golden calf or calves.
C. Leonard Allen: This claim may sound odd to many Christians, and perhaps even unintelligible at first—which may in itself be a sign of the problem we face.
No historic trinitarian ever taught that God was three persons with their own centers of consciousness (John Mark Hicks). The MODERN view was articulated in the 19th century and Paul Tillich called it heresy.
C. Leonard Allen: The doctrine of the Trinity has been in steady recession in the modern period, and this eclipse stands behind the rise of modern unitarian, rationalistic, Christological, and other heresies.
There is no Biblical or early church history to PROP UP the LU invention in 1938 and published in 1942 by H.Leo Boles.
Because there was never any Biblical foundation for the neo-trinity, and the liberation of people to read the Word for themselves, the psychological violence of "you just have to understand that which cannot be understood." The rise of education of the masses cause ALL institutional or clergy roles to be driven out by shame.
C. Leonard Allen:The reasons for the decline are at least two. First, the traditional Western Trinitarian doctrine was increasingly judged to be an inherited dogma that was dense, arcane, and of little relevance to Christians and to the modern world. It was viewed as remote from the actual needs and concerns of believers. Some Christian leaders thus became hostile to the doctrine and many became indifferent.
There is no Historic notion or TRIAS which is remotely similar to that taught by Allen.
C. Leonard Allen: Second, the traditional doctrine did not fare well against the criterion of “reasonableness” that became ever more dominant in the Enlightenment.
The Deists and other proponents of “natural religion” found the doctrine an offense to reason and simply lopped it off. Most others did not reject the doctrine outright, but it became functionally peripheral to a Christian faith increasingly measured and limited by the canons of human reason.
This more subtle form of eclipse can be seen in the
line of “supernatural rationalism”
that runs from the Christian philosopher
John Locke down through Alexander Campbell
and other progressive Christian thinkers of the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.i
In Robert W. Jenson’s judgment, “the inherited doctrine of the Trinity was by the opening of the nineteenth century nearly defunct in all those parts of the church open to modernity.”ii To put the matter over simply, God’s relationality was overshadowed by mechanism. Mystery was eclipsed by method.
It is a safe bet that all of the NEW ERA theologians denounce reason do not know that the LOGOS defines God's rational principle. Nor have they ever read Locke since theologians. God's SPIRIT or MIND is never a person: it is to slander God to say that He ignorant when He defines His inspirit BREATH as WIND never more and never less bleed off other book writers.
If you deny that Jesus commanded that evangelists GO and teach that which HE has commanded to be taught then you CANNOT be a Christian: to SELL your own delusions under the name of Jesus Christ is proof of being abandoned. God is Word or LOGOS or the RATIONAL Regulative Principle of the whole universe.

238. Though the works of nature, in every part of them, sufficiently evidence a Deity; yet the world made so little use of their reason, that they saw him not, where, even by the impressions of himself, he was easy to be found.Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. Romans 1:19
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Romans 1:20
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Romans 1:21
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, Romans 1:22
Sense and lust blinded their minds in some, and a careless inadvertency in others, and fearful apprehensions in most (who either believed there were, or could not but suspect there might be, superior unknown beings) gave them up into the hands of their priests to fill their heads with false notions of the deity, and their worship with foolish rites, as they pleased;
and what dread or craft once began, devotion soon made sacred, and religion immutable.
They kept this truth locked up in their own breasts as a secret, nor ever durst venture it amongst the people, much less the priests, those wary guardians of their own creeds and profitable inventions.Hence we see that reason, speaking never so clearly to the wise and virtuous, had ever authority enough to prevail on the multitude, and to persuade the societies of men, that there was but one God, that alone was to be owned and worshipped.
Locke is aware that only the Jews worshiped One God which was the "core" of true religion from the very beginning and defended by Jesus Christ. However, in all of Paganism there was a triad of gods and Locke knew that this had degenerated from the views of the early church Fathers into the Trinity of father, mother and son. The triad of three separated "persons" or deities was never the view of the fathers or Restoration leaders.
The belief and worship of one God, was the national religion of the Israelites alone; and, if we will consider it,
it was introduced and supported amongst that people by revelation.
They were in Goshen, and had light, whilst the rest of the world were in almost Egyptian darkness, without God in the world.There was no part of mankind, who had quicker parts, or improved them more; that had a greater light of reason, or followed it farther in all sorts of speculations, than the Athenians,
See the Regulative Principle and Churches of Christ
- and yet we find but one Socrates amongst them,
- that opposed and laughed at their polytheisms,
- and wrong opinions of the deity;
- and we see how they rewarded him for it.
It is true that the Campbells learned about the Regulative Principle by reading John Calvin. However, it is bad news when people do not grasp that the LOGOS is the Regulative Principle. The Greeks would think of Hermes or Mercury as the LOGOS but of musical worship, homosexuality, the messenger of the Olympus gods and the chief of liars. God made Jesus to be both Lord and Christ and Word and Grace: HE is the one mediator between God and man which defines why both male and female are to be silent in church so that everyone can be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth.
The Word or LOGOS is the Rational or Regulating principle of God: all things are governed by the Laws of God. People who deny being rational received the NEW HERMENEUTICS for some place.
Aristot. Nic. Eth. 1102b.1 But there also appears to be another element in the soul,
which, though irrational, yet in a manner participates in rational principle. [ logō]
In self-restrained and unrestrained people we approve their principle, or the rational part of their souls,
because it urges them in the right way and exhorts them to the best course;
but their nature seems also to contain another element
beside that of rational principle,
which combats and resists that principle.
[16] Exactly the same thing may take place in the soul as occurs with the body in a case of paralysis:
when the patient wills to move his limbs to the right
Aristot. Nic. Eth. 1102b.20 they swerve to the left; and similarly in unrestrained persons their impulses run counter to their principle. But whereas in the body we see the erratic member, in the case of the soul we do not see it; nevertheless it cannot be doubted that in the soul also there is an element beside that of principle, which opposes and runs counter to principle (though in what sense the two are distinct does not concern us here) [17]
But this second element also seems, as we said, to participate in rational principle [logon]; at least in the self-restrained man it obeys the behest of principle—and no doubt in the temperate and brave man it is still more amenable, for all parts of his nature are in harmony with principle.
Note: 1 According to the psychology here expounded, the intellect ‘has a plan or principle,’ in the sense of understanding principle, and being able to reason and make a plan: in other words, it is fully rational. The part of man's nature ‘has a plan or principle’ in so far as it is capable of following or obeying a principle. It happens that this relationship of following or obeying can itself be expressed by the words to have logos’ in another sense of that phrase, viz. ‘to take account of, pay heed to.’
To be precise the writer should say that the part logon ekhei tou logou ‘has logos (takes account) of the logos.’ The phrase has yet a third sense in mathematics, where “to have logos” (ratio) means ‘to be rational’ in the sense of commensurable.
C. Leonard Allen: What has emerged from these efforts is a recovery of God’s relationality—or what is sometimes called the social Trinity (see John 17:20-26).
All Believers AND God are ONE: but not ONE PERSON!!!. The context should prove that Jesus is teaching only what the ONE GOD THE FATHER breathed (spirit is not a people) into Him.

Lovely is the son of Leto, [1235] whom she, the Delian, once bore in the fruitful valleys, golden-haired, skilled at the lyre; and also the one who glories in her well-aimed arrows. [1240] For the mother, leaving the famous birth-place, brought him from the ridges of the sea to the heights of Parnassus, with its gushing waters, which celebrate the revels for Dionysus. Here the dark-faced serpent [1245] with brightly colored back, his scales of bronze in the leaf-shaded laurel, huge monster of the earth, guarded Earth's prophetic shrine. You killed him, o Phoebus [APOLLYON], while still a baby, [1250] still leaping in the arms of your dear mother, and you entered the holy shrine, and sit on the golden tripod, on your truthful throne [1255] distributing prophecies from the gods to mortals, up from the sanctuary, neighbor of Castalia's streams, as you dwell in the middle of the earth.

God is the WORD or the Regulative, Rational Principle. Notice that the WORD means WORDS which one SPEAKS they are SPIRIT or the "Mental Disposition" of God. They are LIFE because obeying the WORDS of God is the only way to being spiritually alive. They are then ONE with the One God and Father and One Lord, the Man Jesus Christ. John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
John 10:26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life;
and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
John 10:30 I and my Father are one.
John 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
The MARK of a SON is that they SPEAK only what Jesus has revealed to them about His and OUR father.
C. Leonard Allen: In this view God is understood as a community of persons rather than as three modes of being. God is not a solitary, domineering individual who rules through arbitrary exercise of power but rather the perfect model of loving community—becoming vulnerable, entering into partnership, sharing the divine life, loving like a parent.

Matt. 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,

Matt. 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:

C. Leonard Allen etal CLAIM that they have received some kind of COMMUNICATION which told them that the Holy Scriptures no longer WORK after they got their Phd.
Jesus is the King on His Throne, the only High Priest and therefore the ONLY mediator-intercessor until He returns.
Theologians really believe by predestination according to Jude who identifies the mark that THEY are partners with God. Why would God be DOMINEERING and ARBITRARY if He Guides His Childeren into the NARROW ROAD or the WAY that is called a SECT.
C. Leonard Allen: As a contemporary spiritual writer has put it:
God is not a solitary.
That is why He is not alone.
Jehovah-Elohim or Lord-God IS the solitary GOD but He is not alone. That would slander God as standing in need of a brother God.
Deut. 32:12 So the LORD ALONE did lead him,
and there was no strange god with HIM.
2Kings 19:15 And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, O LORD God of Israel,
which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art THE God,
even thou ALONE, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.
Psa. 86:10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God ALONE.
Is. 37:16 O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims,
thou art the God, even thou ALONE, of all the kingdoms of the earth:
thou hast made heaven and earth.
Is. 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts;
I am the first, and I am the last; and BESIDE me there is no God.
Is. 44:8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time,
and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses.

Amos 6:8 The Lord GOD hath sworn by HIMSELF, saith the LORD the God of hosts,
I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces:
therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.
C. Leonard Allen: He is a Trinity.
HE is singular!
THE INVENTOR OF THE TRIAS CONCEPT UNDERSTOOD JESUS IN THE BOOK OF JOHN.
The ONE GOD THE FATHER conceives and regulates: He is termed LOGOS
The ONE GOD THE FATHER breathes (not a spirit person) to send forth information.
Jesus as the SON articulated the spirit or breath without measure (Meter)C. Leonard Allen: If He were ONLY unity, He would be a solitary. But, being love, He is a Trinity, Father, Son, and Spirit.
The Father is life, and He is the source of all things;
the Son is the image of the Father, and He is light;
the Holy Spirit is the love which unites them, and He is a divine person.
John 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself;
so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
John 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also,
BECAUSE HE IS THE SON OF MAN
God the Father delivers the Word to Jesus the Son by "breathing" inspiration which is not another GOD person. This would wish to claim that God the Father cannot communicate with His son without another GOD PERSON:
Matt. 11:27 All things are delivered unto me OF my Father:
and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father;
neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son,
and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him
Allen defines God and tells Him what He MUST BE.
C. Leonard Allen: God, being love, is communication. . . .
The love of the Trinity is the NEW kind of love proposed to man.
John 3:32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth;
and no man receiveth his testimony.
John 3:33 He that hath RECEIVED his testimony
hath set to his seal that God is true.
John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent
SPEAKETH the words of God:
for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
Jesus always SPEAKS the word God put into His mouth without metron or MUSICAL METER. This is the only way to separate the TRUE LOGOS as the ANTITHESIS of Mercury, Hermes or Kairos
There is no Scripture where God's separated people ever WORSHIPPED by singing, playing, speaking, listening or PAY FOR PLAY.
John 3:35 The Father loveth the Son,
and hath given all things into his hand.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life:
and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life;
but the wrath of God abideth on him
2Pet. 1:3 According as his divine power
hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness,
through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

But it is impossible to live it without the Trinity within us.
That is why the Christian is ‘inhabited.’
He is ‘inhabited’ by the Trinity.

that we might live through HIM.

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father,
and he shall give you another Comforter, [Paraclete]
that he may abide with you for ever;
John 14:17 Even the Spirit OF truth; [mental disposition of truth or the Word: Regulative Princile]
whom the world cannot receive,
because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him:
but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE COMFORT IN PURE SPIRIT FORM?
1John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.
And if any man sin, we have an advocate [Paraclete] with the Father,
Jesus Christ the righteous:
1John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only,
but also for the sins of the whole world.
1John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him,
if we keep his commandments.
1John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments,
is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
HOW DOES THE LOVE OF GOD INHABIT THE DISCIPLE?
1John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his WORD, in him verily
is the love of God perfected:
hereby know we that we are in him.C. Leonard Allen: In this view God is essentially dynamic, relational, and ecstatic (going outside oneself).
Philo "developed a doctrine of ecstasy or ek-stasis, which means sstanding outside oneself.' This is the highest form of piety which lies beyond faith. This mysticism unites prophetic ecstasy with 'enthusiasm', a word which comes from en-theos-mania, meaning to possess the divine. From this there comes finally the fully developed mystical system of the Neo-Platonists, for example, of Dionysus the Areopagite.
In this mystical system the ecstasy of the individual person leads to a union with the One, with the Absolute, with God." (Tillich, Paul, A History of Christian Thought, Touchstone, p. 13)
Interestingly, Philo defines a form of responsive music where male and female monastic sectarian Jews studied all day and played all night. The effect of women was evident on the form of music which is often confused as Christian responsive singing.
"The survival of these ideals in a particular late-twentieth-century Southern Baptist culture suggests a complex picture of gender and acceptable ways of being manly or womanly, masculine or feminine.
This complexity of gender relations and the old-fashionedness of the hymns within this cultural community has been ignored,
and perhaps even deliberately concealed, by an official culture that dismisses all sentimental hymnody as vaguely effeminate.
"The notion of music as a tool or technology with a clearly defined purpose is very prevalent in the East. In the West that view is held by some,
but others believe that music is entertainment or art and nothing more.
(Greek: ekstasis, "to stand outside of or transcend [oneself ]"), in mysticism, the experience of an inner vision of God or of one's relation to or union with the divine. Various methods have been used to achieve ecstasy, which is a primary goal in most forms of religious mysticism. The most typical consists of four stages:
(1) purgation (of bodily desire);
(2) purification (of the will);
(3) illumination (of the mind); and
(4) unification (of one's being or will with the divine).Other methods are: dancing (as used by the Mawlawiyah, or whirling dervishes, a Muslim Sufi sect); the use of sedatives and stimulants (as utilized in some Hellenistic mystery religions); and the use of certain drugs, such as peyote, mescaline, hashish, LSD, and similar products (in certain Islamic sects and modern experimental religious groups).
Most mystics, both in the East and in the West, frown on the use of drugs because no permanent change in the personality (in the mystical sense) has been known to occur.
In certain ancient Israelite prophetic groups, music was used to achieve the ecstatic state, in which the participants, in their accompanying dancing, were believed to have been seized by the hand of Yahweh, the God of Israel, as in the case of Saul, the 11th-century-bc king of Israel. OF APOLLYON:
The Pythia (priestess) of the Greek oracle at Delphi often went into an ecstatic state during which she uttered sounds revealed to her by the python (the snake, the symbol of resurrection), after drinking water from a certain spring.
Her "words" were then interpreted by a priest to help a suppliant find a way to avoid calamities, especially death. In primitive religions, ecstasy was a technique highly developed by shamans, religious personages with healing and psychic-transformation powers, in their "soul," or "spirit," flights. (See Delphic oracle.) "ecstasy" Encyclopædia Britannica Online.
"Knowing for the Gnostic went beyond mental recall; it meant active reunion with one's divine source through all kinds of ecstatic experience--dreams, visions, speaking in tongues, etc. In this return to the divine source, one is liberated from the bodily prison." (Roetzel, Calvin J., The Letters of Paul, John Knox Press, Atlanta, p. 83

C. Leonard Allen: Though the majority have affirmed the Father, Son, and Spirit, modern churches have had a functionally weak doctrine of the Trinity. This may at first appear to be an odd, even outlandish, claim. “Of course we believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Three in one, one in three.

What’s the problem?” The problem is not believing in the Father, Son, and Spirit, of course; any serious biblicist does that.
The problem is a Trinitarian theology and practice,
a functional doctrine of the Trinity that centers and deeply shapes
not only one’s theology but especially one’s worship.
There is a large difference between affirming a doctrine of the Trinity and being Trinitarian.
As I have stressed over and over to theology students over the years, the doctrine of the Trinity is not about some strange heavenly arithmetic that theologians like to play with. It is rather a kind of
shorthand for referring to what we know of God
now that Jesus has come
and the Spirit has been poured out.

Though a deep mystery, the Trinity is a crucially practical doctrine—practical in the sense that it fundamentally shapes our practices. For the way we understand God’s way of loving and relating to people sets the pattern for how his followers conduct their life together and carry out their ministry to the world.
-
The Trinity provides our pattern or exemplar for unity and fellowship. God leads a relational life as Father, Son, and Spirit
That life is characterized by submissive love,
as each member of the Trinity pours his life into the other.
How could the MAN Jesus pour life into the ONE AND ONLY GOD?
In God’s own self there is an abundant outpouring of LIFE, so abundant that it overflows and creates community with God’s creatures—those outside the relationship within God.
John 6:63 It is the SPIRIT that quickeneth;
the flesh profiteth nothing:
the WORDS that I speak unto you, they are SPIRIT, and they are life.
Matt. 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,
ALL power is GIVEN unto me in heaven and in earth.
Matt. 28:19 Go ye therefore,
and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name [singular] of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Matt. 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo,
I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world [Aion Messianic age]. Amen
Through the sending of the Son and the outpouring of the Spirit, God pours this rich LIFE into his creatures. As Diogenes Allen puts it: “The life of the Trinity is a perfect community and it is the kind of community for which we long; it satisfies our craving to be loved perfectly and to be attached to others properly.”vii
You cannot POUR a god person: Pour and similar words speak of pouring the WORD.
John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them,
Verily, verily, I say unto you,
The SON can do nothing of himself,
but what he seeth the Father do:
for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
John 5:20 For the Father loveth the Son,
and SHEWETH him all things that himself doeth:
and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
John 5:21 For as the Father raiseth up the DEAD, and quickeneth them;
even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
John 5:26 For as the Father hath LIFE in himself;
so hath he GIVEN to the Son to have life in himself;
John 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also,
because he is the SON OF MAN
2Cor. 6:1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2Cor. 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
2Cor. 6:3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
2Cor. 6:4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
2Cor. 6:5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
2Cor. 6:6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
2Cor. 6:7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
2Cor. 6:8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;
2Cor. 6:9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;
2Cor. 6:10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
We partake of the Trinitarian life in several ways: sacramentally through observing Christ’s ordinances, doxologically as we draw near to God and God to us, charismatically (another very awkward word) through divine gifts of grace, and pneumatologically through the mystery of the indwelling Spirit.
The Trinity is the doctrinal center and fulcrum of the Christian faith. To change the metaphor, it is the prism through which all other doctrinal features of the faith are lighted and put in perspective. Indeed, the Trinitarian doctrine encapsulates and preserves the uniquely Christian view of God’s relational character.
When this doctrine functionally recedes, as it has done in the modern period, there are many, often subtle, consequences. One easily falls prey to sectarianism or overly narrow views of God’s Kingdom; to various forms of legalism, all of which misconstrue the nature of God’s relationality; to authoritarianism, which misconstrues the character of Christ’s exercise of authority; to spiritual triumphalism, which downplays the cruciform nature of discipleship; to spiritual elitism, which distorts the purpose of the Spirit’s power and gifts; to constricted or mechanical understandings of the ordinances or sacraments in Christian life; and other assorted ills, heresies, and disruptions in the life of the church.
One challenge in today’s emergent churches is for Christians to recover a discipleship rooted in a Trinitarian pneumatology. Christian discipleship involves following the risen Lord, in the power of the Spirit, to the glory of God the Father
Note that spirit is not always a good thing. That is why many words are given a distinctly Christian interpretation to mark the charismatic "spiritists" whose worship was with wine, women and song or often of a homosexual encounter which "bound the spirit and flesh together."

You know that speech makes all things (pan) known and always makes them circulate and move about, and is twofold, true and false.Hermogenes

Well, the true part is smooth and divine and dwells aloft among the gods, but falsehood dwells below among common men, is rough and like the tragic goat ; for tales and falsehoods are most at home there, in the tragic life.Hermogenes
Certainly.Socrates
Then Pan, who declares and always moves (aei polôn) all, is rightly called goat-herd (aipolos),1 The chorus of the primitive performances from which tragedy developed appeared as satyrs, clad in goat-skins. Hence the name tragôidia (goat-song). The adjective tragikos may mean either "goat-like" or "tragic." In this passage it has both meanings.
The she goat was called CAPELLA.
2Th. 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,In the Trinitarian economy the present work of the Spirit is primarily eschatological. That is, the Spirit, using means that are finite and contingent, anticipates and makes real the life to come in the present life of the Christian community.
Full and faithful discipleship, then, is supernatural or Spirit empowered; the believer walks in a way and engages in practices that are humanly impossible but that in the power of the Spirit become possible. When discipleship is not rooted in the Spirit’s power it gets tamed or toned down to what seems humanly possible, simply reasonable, and culturally appropriate.

Gordon Fee, gathering up the fruit of his extensive exegesis of all the Spirit texts in Paul, has put this recovery in terms that can resonate with contemporary churches in emergent culture: “a genuine recapturing of the Pauline perspective will cause the church to be more vitally Trinitarian, not only in its theology, but in its life and Spirituality as well. This will mean not the exaltation of the Spirit, but the exaltation of God; and it will mean not focus on the Spirit as such, but on the Son, crucified and risen, Savior and Lord of all.”viii After modernity, such recovery has become more possible.
Paul never once used "spirit" in the sense of "another god person." The Spirit OF Christ is the spirit or mind which belongs TO ChriST
In fact, it is well recognized that Paul never uses the word "spirit" to speak of a third member of a trinity: it is the Spirit OF Christ or the Spirit OF God which is the same thing: the MIND of God. The flesh versus spirit is PAUL'S own spirit in conflict with his human nature.
Gordon Fee from the Assemblies of God argues against the immediate baptism of the Holy Spirit and for a life guided by the Spirit
Fee answers the question in two ways. First, he says that the “time frame” attached to subsequent Spirit baptism is, for all practical purposes, irrelevant. What is, in fact, relevant is that Christians experience the dynamic power of the Holy Spirit throughout their entire life. This is th heart of the New Testament Christian. Fee says that “to early believers, getting saved, which included repentance and forgivenessobviously, meant especially to be filled with the Spirit.” The second way he responds to the question is to speak to the idea of Spirit empowerment for the contemporary believer. And the Pentecostal, says Fee, has attempted to recapture for the church an empowering dimension of life immersed in the Spirit-
