Remember that Jesus praised the widow for giving her ALL but because the "preachers and elders" took it He let their "buildings and grounds" be destroyed for the third time and they probably ATE their children until they starved to death. They are still EATING UP the Widow's living.

Adolf Hitler noted that the leaders of such a society or, in his words community, create a force of effeminate, unquestioning "human material" but in the end they will not have the manly courage to continue the fight. In the rush for "topics" the order of truth often gets turned on its head perhaps without knowing that without fidelity to anyone's word there simply is no "point." Robert Frost is usually beyond the immediate reach of those demanded to "test the spirits" but not beyond the reach of God Who listens carefully as much to what we say as what we do.

Robert Frost didn't leave the hunters out:

"But they would have the rabbit out of hiding, To please the yelping dogs."
And his motive against the wall-defending neighbor was pure mischief! Is there a message here? If we use Biblical and historical figurative speech we can hear the message loud and clear:

Why have walls, Frosts teases us, when men break down the walls just to expose the rabbit (the unclean) just for the joy of the yelping dogs (the perverse).

Looking for proof-texts from Robert Frost rather than Lord Jesus gives us the authority -- the demand -- to allegorize Frost to show how closely his "parable" describes the post-modern (post-Bible, post-Paul) motives for breaking down the walls: just to please the unclean, the yelping dogs, and too often just for mischief. While this undoubtedly was not the intent, figurative speech can get you into a heap of trouble.

Accepting the challenge of Frost as authority to "break down the walls" we certainly do not intend to indict anyone, but satisfying and breaking down the walls and "yelping dogs" to get at the rabbits is too rich to pass up for any one who knows "Bible and Broken Walls 101aaa":

The yelping dogs and concision Paul warned about were the Cynics whose howling form of praise singing attracted customers: they sought to get INSIDE the worship process seeking whom they might devour (double meaning). The concision were the emasculated priests of Cybele or the mother goddess.

Singular GALLUS, priests, often temple attendants or wandering mendicants, of the ancient Asiatic deity, the Great Mother of the Gods, known as Cybele, or Agdistis, in Greek and Latin literature. The galli were eunuchs attired in female garb, with long hair fragrant with ointment.

The name galli may be Phrygian, from the two streams called Gallus, both tributaries of the Sangarius (now Sakarya) River, the waters of which were said to inspire religious frenzy.

The rabbit or hare was a ceremonially unclean animal (Deut 14:7; Lev 11:6)

Jude quotes Enoch to warn that God will come with ten thousand of His saints to execute judgment. The primary sin was ignoring His Word. God will come with ten thousand of His saints and the specific charges are:

Although Genun's name suggests "Kenan," who appears in Genesis 5:9 as the son of Enoch, he is a composite Kenite character: the invention of musical instruments being attributed in Genesis to Jubal, and of edged iron blades to his brother Tubal Cain.

Three-headed dog: This is a Greek mythology reference to CerberusÐa monstrous dog with three or 50 heads and a mane or tail of snakes who guarded the entrance to the Underworld.

The worship among ALL priesthoods is likely to be perverted. Those who were dogs were male homosexuals where sodomy was thought to "bind the flesh and spirit together" recorded of Jezebel.

Beware of dogs, beware of evil (noisome) workers (teachers), beware of the concision. Phil 3:2

However, Jesus disqualified TIME and PLACE of both Samaritans and Jews. He said that because God IS Spirit we must worship in the new PLACE of our human spirit as we give heed to the Words of Truth. This is Paul's unique definition of WORSHIP and never explains what appeals to the flesh as worship: it cannot be.

For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Phil 3:3

John could have been involved with the perverted worship on Patmos influenced by Circe the holy whore with music and drugs. However, in order for Christ the Spirit to speak to Him "John was IN THE SPIRIT" on the Lord's Day.

All musical "worship" used prostitutes and catamites or male homosexuals.

He is also associated with the serpent. The constellation of Cerberus has its origins with the astronomer Johannes Hevelius, who placed it on his star atlas Firmamentum Sobiescianum. Most representations of the constellation have it appearing as a three-headed serpent instead of a dog.

The three-headed porter was taken captive with amazement at his fresh songs. The avenging goddesses, who haunt with fear the guilty, poured out sad tears. Ixion's wheel no longer swiftly turned. Tantalus, so long abandoned unto thirst then despise the flowing stream.

Tantalus for his crimes was condemned to perpetual hunger and thirst though surrounded by fruits and water which ever eluded his grasp. The vulture, satisfied by his strains, tore not awhile at Tityos's heart. At last the lord of the shades in pity cried: "We are conquered; take your bride with you, bought by your song; but one condition binds our gift: till she has left these dark abodes, turn not your eyes upon her." Who shall set a law to lovers? Love is a greater law unto itself.

Alack! at the very bounds of darkness Orpheus looked upon his Eurydice; looked, and lost her, and was lost himself.

'To you too this tale refers; you, who seek to lead your thoughts to the light above. For whosoever is overcome of desire, and turns his gaze upon the darkness 'neath the earth, he, while he looks on hell, loses the prize he carried off.'

Orpheus praised Ceres as "Eve" or "ZOE" or "the mother of the gods" a Lucifer figure and they called her "the beast."

Now Rhea, as Ceres, in Hymn XIV, is called 'brass-sounding' and

'drum-beating'. This has reference to the mystical results of certain sounds and rhythm,
part and parcel of what the Hindus call Mantravidyâ.

I remember reading a curious old French book in the Bibliothèque de la Ville of Clermont-Ferrand, one of the books confiscated from the Minime Monastery of the same town, at the time of the Revolution. This work dealt with the magical properties of music, and described for what especial purposes the various instruments of music were used in the Temple-service of the Jews.

"Now Iamblichus (De Mysteriis, III.ix) goes into the matter of the so-called Corybantic and Bacchic 'frenzies' produced by musical instruments in the Mysteries of Ceres and Bacchus; and in his Life of Pythagoras (xxv) he, further, tells us that: 'The whole Pythagoric school went through a course of musical training, both in harmony and touch, whereby, by means of appropriate chants, they beneficially converted the dispositions of the soul to contrary emotions.

Music and Mantras, therefore, were used by the Orphics to attract, or call
down, the influence of the Mother of the Gods, who at the same time was the
'Store-house of Life', of Divine Nature. Thus Proclus.

The problem in Rome described by Paul in Romans 14 was the Orphic, Vegetarian instrumental music sect influence trying to assemble with Dionysic, meat-eating, wine-drinking worshipers with instrumental music.

To allow "non-sectarian" worship without instruments, in Romans 15 Paul restated the Ephesian5 and Colossian 3 "speaking" which is not a primary singing command:

WE then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities (diseased scruple) of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Romans 15:1

Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. Romans 15:2
For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. Romans 15:3

and the Levites and all the people with rams' horns shall blow a great battle alarm together in order to melt the heart of the enemy.

This was spoken of Judas where triumph was to "blow the wind instruments and make a joyful noise." The enemies piped to try to get Jesus into the feminine or effeminate dance of Dionysus (i.e. Pan). Dionysus was the "new wine in new wineskins god." The "bag" Judas put the stolen money into was "a bag for carrying the mouthpieces of wind instruments." Like most priesthoods, the one in Jerusalem in the days of Jesus was afflicted and inflicted with a large homosexual component. Therefore, in the Psalm:

For dogs have compassed (whirled around) me: the assembly (family or crowd) of the wicked have inclosed (surrounded to strike) me: they pierced my hands and my feet. Ps.22:16

Of compassed or danced around: Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the Lords right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on thy glory. Hab.2:16

Deliver my life from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dogs. Ps.22:20

Psalm 22 shows how the musical guys would attack Jesus in a perverted sense.

Mockers:

The Play at Mount Sinai was musical idolatry (h6711). This was also the SPORT they demanded of Samson. When Samson MADE SPORT the word is (h7832)

And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us sport (h7832). And they called for Samson out of the prison house; and he made them sport (h6711): and they set him between the pillars. Judges 16:25

Israel's watchmen are blind, they all lack knowledge; they are all mute dogs (Keleb male prostitutes), they cannot bark; they lie (The sexual connection) around and dream, they love to sleep. Is.56:10 (Mute: Like tongue-tied male prostitutes)

Yea, they are greedy (sensuous) dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. Is.56:11

Then the LORD said to me: "Even if Moses and Samuel were to stand before me, my heart would not go out to this people.

Send them away from my presence! Let them go! Je 15:1

And if they ask you, 'Where shall we go?' tell them, 'This is what the LORD says: "'Those destined for death, to death; those for the sword, to the sword; those for starvation, to starvation; those for captivity, to captivity.' Je 15:2

And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the Lord: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy. Je.15:3

The dogs in Hebrew were:

Keleb (h3611) keh'leb; from an unused root mean. to yelp, or else to attack; a dog;
..... hence (by euphemism) a male prostitute: - dog.

In the New Testament, the word "soft" describes them:

But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings houses. Matthew 11:8

Soft is from the Greek:

Malakos (g3120) mal-ak-os'; of uncert. affin.; soft, i.e. fine (clothing); fig. a catamite (male prostitute): - effeminate, soft. (g3119 means soft or diseased)

The "choral" dance was performed by the women worshipers of Dionysus or effeminate men. If they could get Jesus and John to dance when they piped this would prove that He was not Yahweh's presence:

"Asherah: She is the Queen of Heaven, in other languages and ages identified as Ashtoreth, Athirat, Astarte, and Ishtar.

Her "male" priestesses were known as kelabim, the faithful "dogs" of the Goddess, who practiced divinatory arts, danced in processions, and served as hierodules, qedeshim (prostitutes or concubines), in the company of other priestesses.

Elements of the goddess worship were largely erased in a cultural purge c. 630 BCE by King Josiah, at the behest of Yahweh's priests, who required supremacy."

"What wedding-hymn was that which raised its strains to the sound of Libyan flutes, to the music of the dancer's lyre, and the note of the pipe of reeds? It was on the day Pieria's lovely-haired choir came over the slopes of Pelion to the wedding of Peleus, beating the ground with print of golden sandals at the banquet of the gods, and hymning in dulcet strains the praise of Thetis and the son of Aeacus, over the Centaurs' hill, down woods of Pelion.

"There was the Dardanian boy, dainty morsel of Zeus' bed, drawing off the wine he mixed in the depths of golden bowls, Ganymede the Phrygian; while, along the gleaming sand, the fifty daughters of Nereus graced the marriage with their dancing, circling in a mazy ring. Euripides

Greek GANYMEDES, Latin GANYMEDES, OR CATAMITUS, in Greek legend, the son of Tros (or Laomedon), king of Troy. Because of his unusual beauty, he was carried off either by the gods or by Zeus, disguised as an eagle, or, according to a Cretan account, by Minos, to serve as cupbearer. In compensation, Zeus gave Ganymede's father a stud of immortal horses (or a golden vine). From early times it was believed that Ganymede's kidnapper had a homosexual passion for him, hence the term catamite, derived from the popular Latin form of his name. He was later identified with the constellation Aquarius.

"In astrology, Aquarius is the 11th sign of the zodiac, considered as governing the period c. January 20-c. February 18. "Its representation as a man pouring a stream of water out of a jug came about,

"it has been suggested, because in ancient times the rising of Aquarius coincided in the Middle East with a period of floods and rain. In the conceptual scheme of the "Great Year"--the more than 25,000 years it takes the Earth to pass in turn through the influence of each of the signs of the zodiac--
........... the Earth is said to have passed into the age of Aquarius early in the 19th century.

Is it an accident that in the nineteenth century the Word of God was minimized and the clear Biblical male-female order was reversed, and what Leonard Allen identified mudied stream of trinitarian dogma was introduced and identified by Paul Tillich as heresy. Read more about the Mission Church.

The pure water often turns to wine:

"Upon hearing that Ganymede was to be cup bearer as well as Zeus' lover, the infinitely jealous Hera was outraged. Therefor Zeus set Ganymede's image among the stars as the constellation Aquarius, the water carrier. Aquarius was originally the Egyptian god over the Nile. The Egyptian god poured water not wine from a flagon.

"All of Zeus' scandalous liaisons have allegorical meanings. Zeus' torrid affair with Ganymede was a religious justification for homosexuality within the Greek culture. Before the popularity of the Zeus and Ganymede myth spread, the only toleration for sodomy was an external form of goddess worship. Cybele's male devotees tried to achieve unity with her by castrating themselves and dressing like women.

"While Platonic love needed women for regeneration purposes (grow the attendance)
..... the philosopher used this myth to justify his sexual feelings towards his all male pupils.

All of this is simply to prove that when you break down the walls you do not know what is going to stray in. This is why Jesus said:

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life,

and may enter in through the gates into the city. Rev 22:14
For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. Rev 22: 15

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. Rev 22: 16

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Rev 22: 17

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: Rev 22: 18

Again, the message of Robert Frost is that the walls just get broken down by frost and by rabbit hunters who will pull apart the building stones just in order to satisfy the appetite of their yelping dogs.

The rabbit and the yelping dogs and the hunter who tore down Robert Frost's walls were mighty hunters, hunting unclean animals just to satisfy the yelping dogs. No wonder Robert wondered why the wall had been built.

The Babylonian clergy consisted of priests, musicians, soothsayers and male and female prostitutes.

Bishop Alexander Hislop notes:

Of the Great Mother Semiramis: "It was from the son, however, that she derived all her glory and her claims to deification. That son, though represented as a child in his mother's arms, was a person of great stature and immense bodily powers, as well as most fascinating manners.

In Scripture he is referred to (Eze 8:14) under the name of Tammuz, but he is commonly known among classical writers under the name of Bacchus, that is, "The Lamented one." *

*From Bakhah "to weep" or "lament." Among the Phoenicians, says Hesychius, "Bacchos means weeping." As the women wept for Tammuz, so did they for Bacchus. They tried to force Jesus into this dance.

To the ordinary reader the name of Bacchus suggests

nothing more than revelry and drunkenness,
but it is now well known, that amid all the abominations that attended his orgies,

their grand design was professedly "the purification of souls,"
and that from the guilt and defilement of sin.

Herodotus mentions that

"when in Egypt, he was astonished to hear the very same mournful but ravishing "Song of Linus," sung by the Egyptians (although under another name), which he had been accustomed to hear in his own native land of Greece.

Linus was the same god as the Bacchus of Greece, or Osiris of Egypt;

for Homer introduces a boy singing the song of Linus, while the vintage is going on (Ilias), and the Scholiast says that this son was sung in memory of Linus,

who was torn in pieces by dogs.

The epithet "dogs," applied to those who tore Linus in pieces, is evidently used in a mystical sense, and it will afterwards been seen how thoroughly the other name by which he is known--Narcissus--identifies him with the Greek Bacchus and Egyptian Osiris.

When the Israelites "rose up to play" it was the musical idolatry honoring Osiris under the image of the golden bull. And again, David rose up to play when separating the Ark of the Covenant from God's sacred place.

Narcissus: in Greek mythology, the son of the river god Cephissus and the nymph Leiriope; he was distinguished for his beauty. His mother was told that he would have a long life, provided he never looked upon his own features. His rejection, however, of the love of the nymph Echo or of his lover Ameinias drew upon him the vengeance of the gods. He fell in love with his own reflection in the waters of a spring and pined away (or killed himself); the flower that bears his name sprang up where he died. According to another source, Narcissus, to console himself for the death of his beloved twin sister, his exact counterpart, sat gazing into the spring to recall her features.

The story may have derived from the ancient Greek superstition that it was unlucky or even fatal to see one's own reflection. In psychiatry and especially psychoanalysis, the term narcissism denotes an excessive degree of self-esteem or self-involvement, a condition that is usually a form of emotional immaturity.

A similar figure: Hermes leading a satyr chorus, vase by Douris, 5th century BC; in the British Museum: Greek god, son of Zeus and Maia; often identified with the Roman Mercury and with Casmilus or Cadmilus, one of the Cabeiri. His name is probably derived from herma (see herm), the Greek word for a heap of stones, such as was used in the country to indicate boundaries or as a landmark. The earliest centre of his cult was probably Arcadia, where Mt. Cyllene was reputed to be his birthplace. There he was especially worshipped as the god of fertility, and his images were ithyphallic.

In many respects he was Apollo's counterpart; like him, Hermes was a patron of music and was credited with the invention of the kithara and sometimes of music itself. He was also god of eloquence and presided over some kinds of popular divination. (Leading people into the presence of God)

From the latter part of the 5th century BC he was portrayed as a nude and beardless youth, a young athlete. As Mercury, he is naked and carrying a purse.

The purse of Judas was "for carrying the mouthpieces of wind instruments."

In some places in Egypt, for the song of Linus or Osiris, a peculiar melody seems to have been used. Savary says that, in the temple of Abydos, "the priest repeated the seven vowels in the form of hymns, and that musicians were forbid to enter it." (Letters) Strabo, whom Savary refers to, calls the god of that temple Memnon, but we learn from Wilkinson that Osiris was the great god of Abydos, whence it is evident that Memnon and Osiris were only different names of the same divinity.

Now the name of Linus or Osiris, as the "husband of his mother," in Egypt, was Kamut (BUNSEN). When Gregory the Great introduced into the Church of Rome what are now called the Gregorian Chants,

he got them from the Chaldean mysteries, which had long been established in Rome;

for the Roman Catholic priest, Eustace, admits that these chants were largely composed of "Lydian and Phrygian tunes" (Classical Tour), Lydia and Phrygia being among the chief seats in later times of those mysteries, of which the Egyptian mysteries were only a branch. (i.e. Barbarians)

These tunes were sacred--the music of the great god, and in introducing them Gregory introduced the music of Kamut. And thus, to all appearance, has it come to pass, that the name of Osiris or Kamut, "the husband of the mother," is in every-day use among ourselves as the name of the musical scale; for what is the melody of Osiris, consisting of the "seven vowels" formed into a hymn, but--the Gamut.

Mike Cope: Part of the unsettledness in Restoration churches right now is that old walls are slowly (and in some instances, rapidly) crumbling walls that divide one group of Christians from other groups, walls that divide us by gender, by race, or by mental abilities.:

Historical walls have been build by sectarians adding instrumental music and other practices from Catholicism including a "Christendom-wide" organization with more ambition than common sense.

False! Wishful thinking! The unsettledness is caused by a band of merry men dedicated to the restructure of churches of Christ by introducing practices which 2000 years of the "old" Bible and church history has condemned. The key "lust" of those tipsy on new wine which has really been placed in an old, Jewish-pagan wineskin, is to force the introduction of "Musical Worship Teams" which is leading to the natural consequence -- musical instruments. This is created by foreign (barbarian) "yeasts" getting into the ceremonially pure vessels of clay Jesus used to store the pure water of the word. This foreign yeast is well documented in the Bible, the Classics and the church Fathers as being straight from the barbarians vineyards -- the grapes of Sodom.

Contrary to the charge, the new wineskin religion puts its focus totally upon the "young, the talented, the beautiful, the musical and the theatrical." Jesus or Paul or Peter need not apply because they would be too "straight" and morose: they would not do the dionysus dance as the children clergy piped.

For purely commercial purposes, the "musical worship teams" are used to replace and displace those who cannot carry a tune: attracting the masses through the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the lust of the ears and the unholy pride of performers.

Cope: This wall-tumbling movement is, it seems, ordained by God.

Nope again! The total warning is against breaking down walls which God has constructed. There is not a hint that breaking down walls or "becoming as much like the world as possible" according to Rubel Shelly comes from God except when people are beyond redemption for ignoring God by ignoring His Word.

Before you can again be a Restoration Movement church you have to "plug the leaks" by rebuilding the walls to keep the market place out of the "temple" on the "Sabbath."

Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings. Is.58:12

If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him,

not doing thine own ways,
nor finding thine own pleasure,
nor speaking thine own words: Isaiah 58:13

But then, perhaps YEP! Because when walls come tumbling down in God's Word it is often because people are beyond redemption and it is time to let in the wild beasts to "prune your vines" or to "take your inheritance" -- the meaning of "Chalal" to take your inheritance, prune your vine, play the flute or prostitute.

Based on many Old Testament "types" we would expect that the end-time church will be a Babylonian-whore type. However, one name for Babylon or "Sodom" is "Jerusalem."

And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. Re.11:8

In the end-time the overwhelming majority will be engaged in a Trumpet Orchestra when the "Last Trump" sounds. However, salvation is not in going Post-Modern or Narrative Theology which denies inspiration but a Restoration Movement:

Turn [return to the starting point] us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. Psalm 80:7

Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it. Psalm 80:8

Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land. Psalm 80:9

The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars. Psalm 80:10

She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river. Psalm 80:11

Why hast thou then broken down her walls, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her? Psalm 80:12

The boar (spelled "bore") out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it. Psalm 80:13

Pluck is similar to: Chalal (h2490) khaw-lal'; a prim. root [comp. 2470]; prop. to bore, i. e. (by impl.) to wound, to dissolve; fig. to profane (a person, place or thing), to break (one's word), to begin (as if by an "opening wedge"); denom. (from 2485) to play (the flute): - begin (* men began), defile, * break, defile, * eat (as common things), * first, * gather the grape thereof, * take inheritance, pipe, player on instruments, pollute, (cast as) profane (self), prostitute, slay (slain), sorrow, stain, wound.

Breaking down walls is never used in a positive sense:

Parac (h6555) paw-rats'; a prim. root; to break out (in many applications, direct and indirect, lit. and fig.): - abroad, (make a) breach, break (away, down, -er, forth, in, up), burst out come (spread) abroad, compel, disperse, grow, increase, open, press, scatter, urge.

Isaiah 5 attributes the problem to religious festivals with wine and instrumental music as in Amos 5, 6 and 8.

A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring. Proverbs 25:26

It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory. Proverbs 25:27

He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. Proverbs 25:28

Amos 5, 6 and 8 connects broken walls of morality, wineskins and musical worship. The people were abused and went into captivity because they lacked knowledge. Here is one of the theatrical musicians (barbarians) playing the barbados reclining on a couch which often was made with inlaid ivory idols.

Isaiah 5 shows that when walls are being broken down, sure enough it may be God breaking them down but heaven help those who have been the Judas agent:

1 NOW will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:

........... and it brought forth wild grapes.

3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.

4 What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes,

5 And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard:

I will take away the hedge thereof,

because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.

14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure:

The Testament of Judah shows how this came about.

The Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs is an ancient document explaining the Jewish understanding of Isaiah 5 and the Tribe of Judah which withered away to a tiny remnant. This document shows that most battles are acted out upon the walls meant to protect. Click for the document.

The wine and musical festivals in Isaiah 5 are here identified as for divination. Music was often used in a religious to "lead the worshipers into the presence of the gods" or to "get a revelation from the gods." For this reason, the Word of God was ignored and the people died of spiritual hunger and thirst.

The story concerns Judah's daughter in law, Tamar, seducing him by acting as a shrine prostitute. She was a Babylonian whose blood mingled with those of Judah and through whom Canaanites gained a huge influence in the later Temple guilds.

After Judah's wife died he found his daughter in law, Tamar, at the city gate of Enaim acting as a shrine prostitute:

And after these things, while Tamar was a widow, she heard after two years that I was going up to shear my sheep, and adorned herself in bridal array, and sat in the city Enaim by the gate.

For it was a law of the Amorites, that she who was about to marry should sit in fornication seven days by the gate.

Therefore, being drunk with wine, I did not recognize her; and her beauty deceived me, through the fashion of her adorning." (Judah 2:22-24)

23. Now I have much grief, my children, because of your lewdness, and witchcrafts, and idolatries,

which ye will work against the kingdom,
following them that have familiar spirits
ye will make your daughters singing girls and harlots for divinations and demons of error,
and ye will be mingled in the pollutions of the Gentiles:

for which things' sake the Lord shall bring upon you famine and pestilence, death and the sword, avenging siege, and dogs for the rending in pieces of enemies,

and revilings of friends, destruction and blighting of eyes, children slaughtered, wives carried off, possessions plundered,

temple of God in flames, your land desolated, your own selves enslaved among the Gentiles,

and they shall make some of you eunuchs for their wives; and whenever ye will return to the Lord with humility of heart, repenting and walking in all the commandments of God, then will the Lord visit you in mercy and in love, bringing you from out of the bondage of your enemies.

Later, when Israel rejected God, He promised that the king would take their sons and daughters and make them servants of the military and of his own farm and palace (1 Sam 8). Familiar spirits, diviners and demon worshippers relied heavily on music and other charismatic (drug inducing) rituals. For instance, before Paul alluded to music (1 Cor 13) and charismatic prophesying (primarily by the women) he, in chapter 10, warned them not to worship demons by reminnding them of the wilderness idolatry.

Mike Cope: It stems from more and more Christians finally owning up to their baptismal vows:

"You are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ, for all of you where baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:26-28).

I don't remember that being a baptismal vow. Wow! No. The Christians have absolutely nothing to do with breaking down the walls of the sheep fold so that the hirelings can steal sheep. In the Bible, the wall tumbling movement was fueled by men involved in commercial religion which has been stolen from the pagan world. The baptismal vow is more like:

I will submit my body as a living sacrifice. That is, I will reckon my body dead, burned up on the altar.
I will consider myself alive unto Christ.
Therefore, I cannot mingle with the sins of the world.

The "clothing" of Christ is a wall to protect us: you cannot break down the walls to the world without putting off Christ. If we hear Mike Cope literally then there is no "male-female" distinction and isn't that the meaning of Plato's theatrical performance where Platonic love was "love of a man for a young boy"?

Male can perform what was anciently called "the feminine arts" of music as worship; and females can be the pastors, standing over and presiding over the flock and preaching over the flock as long as she does it to a tune.

Why should we get excited that males marry males?

We can revive the Jewish "Jubilee" and thereby deny that Jesus restored all things. We can Judaize because the theme of the "Jubilee is the Atonement."

"The purpose of each Jubilee is usually fixed by the reigning Pontiff, at the promulgation, but it is merely a repetition of the reasons for which the Jubilee was originally instituted:

"the call of Holy Mother Church to the state of Grace,
"a return to the Sacraments, Click to See Walk To Emmaus as fulfilment.
"a greater fraternal charity,
"the liberation from social evils, and the renewal of the moral life.

"At times, when one of these needs was more particularly felt, the Pope would not hesitate to grant it, without changing thereby the general character of the Jubilee. So it was that at the first Universal Jubilee - also known as the General or Major Jubilee or Holy Year - there came into being the Minor Jubilee.

"Whatever form its social ramifications may have taken, the jubilee was, and remained, a religious affair, for the atonement of sin (see Lev. XXV, 9)."

The legalistic Musical Worship Teams to bring us into the presence of God are clearly modeled by the Catholics after the Levitical Clergy. This was because the musical idolatry at Mount Sinai

brought on the Book of The Law where the people were "strangers" and
could not "come boldly before the throne of God." This is why they cannot approach the pulpit as the Catholic "most holy place" without divine permission.

The Dominant Pastor is clearly the reproduction of the Catholic Father - the high priest.

If Judaism is in effect then we can break down our walls and let the lambs out among the wolves and let the wolves into the sheep fold: this was the prophecy about elders who historically fed themselves off the fat of the lambs.

Theatrical performance, musical performance, a "sexually and morally confused" man becomes the clan prophet to get the messages from the gods. This, rather than inclusive-exclusive attitudes, was and is the historical methods of binding a clan together inside the new walls:

Henry Bamfort Parkes notes how the worlds oldest profession worked to break down walls:

"In this fashion evey common tribal interest--the recurrence of the seasons, the increase of the food supply, successful hunting--was likely to become embodied in some regularly repeated ceremony, which usually included group dancing, singing, and feasting.

'Certain members of a tribe, marked out either by unusual skills or by some emotional abnormality, ususally became particularly adept at these operations, and gradually assumed specialized functions.

Released from the duty of hunting, and concentrating on the practice of magic, the shaman, sorcerer, or medicine man
........... was the world's first professional." (Parkes, p. 29).

"The development both of religion and of the arts can be traced back in a continuous line to the hunting era.

The group ritual of the primeval tribesmen were the origin not only of all religious ceremonial,

but also of the drama and of poetry and music, while magic gave birth to the visual arts." (Parkes, p. 30).

In most early societies, moreover, men evolved techniques for deliberaly inducing the abnormal forms of consciousness in which they supposed themselves to achieve union with divine power, sometimes by the use of drugs and other physiological stimuli, sometimes by hypnotic dances and music.

The wild utterances to which they gave vent on such occasions were regarded as the words of a god and were interpreted as divine commands or predictions of future events." (Parkes, p. 32-33).

Mike Cope: Of course, this is all very disorienting. With walls we feel safe and secure, protected from the heretics and barbarians storming the gates.

That is so correct! I like the walls behind which I live. The neighbor's bull doesn't stop in the living room and leave a deposit on my "pulpit." The thief doesn't break through and steal. I don't need a constant "watchman on the wall" and I can enjoy the rest brought by Jesus beside still waters. I am removed from the burden which is "spiritual anxiety created by religious ritual" by performance clergy. I don't "go outside the walls and into the desert just because someone says that 'the kingdom is out here.' Jesus still says, 'the kingdom of God is within you'."

But, why do professionals hate walls?

Be it known now unto the king, that, if this city be builded, and the walls set up again, then will they not pay toll, tribute, and custom, and so thou shalt endamage the revenue of the kings. Ezra 4:13

Both the Samaritans and returning Jews wanted the walls broken down so that they could engage in commerce -- bringing the merchants right into the temple walls.

Tobiah, the enemy of the returning Jews was given a lush apartment in what had once been the Food Storage Room. Is there a message here?

In "Ephraim the Syrian and Aphrahat the Persian Sage"

"(His life) extends farther to many incidents related in the Life,-such as the attempt of Sapor to take Nisibis by turning the river against its walls,

Ephraim's encounter with the woman who met him as he entered Edessa and her retort to his rebuke,

his borrowing the music of the heretic in order to popularize the orthodox teaching of his own hymns,

In "three unsuccessful sieges laid to it by Sapor, King of Persia, down to its final surrender under the terms of the ignominious peace concluded with Sapor by the Emperor Jovian after the defeat and death of his predecessor Julian (a.d. 363). Nisibis was then abandoned by its Christian inhabitants.

So, by the time you get the walls broken down the Christians will have been "raptured" out.

Strabo Geography 10.3.9

"But I must now investigate how it comes about that so many names have been used of one and the same thing, and the theological element contained in their history.

Now this is common both to the Greeks and to the barbarians,
to perform their sacred rites in connection with the relaxation of a festival,

these rites being performed sometimes with religious frenzy, sometimes without it;

and, fourthly, music, which includes dancing as well as rhythm and melody, at the same time,

human beings then act most like the gods when they are doing good to others,
yet one might better say, when they are happy; and such happiness consists of rejoicing, celebrating festivals, pursuing philosophy, and engaging in music.

Herodotus shows the effeminate connecton and separates harp-playing and singing. After the "walls had been broken down" it was requested of Cyrus that rather than destroy the barbarian enemy, just reincarnate them into women:

Musical worship teams, whatever the motive, is "ritual prostitution." The male leadership "uses" them with beauty and talent to attract the "seekers" with the knowledge aforethought that that which works is sexual attraction: interestingly males are attracted to the males and to the females.

The "authority" Paul outlawed is defined as "sexual authority."

It was also popular as entertainment at drinking parties and during festivals such as the Dionysia and the Anthesteria. In vase paintings from the Classical Period the barbitos is played either in a seated or standing position, by both women and men. Unlike the chelys-Lyra, the barbitos was not used in music lessons because, according to Aristotle (Politics 1341a-b),

it was designed purely for pleasure, not for education.

Thrasippus after having provided the chorus for Ecphantides... later on it came to be disapproved of as a result of actual experience,

True Christianity has always been the "little boy" putting his fingers into the cracks in the walls created by the "overflowing waters" trying to wash "the mother and her child" off the face of the earth. And it will ever be. The BIG MEN singing and dancing on the broken walls are big in their own sights but the "little boys" stopping leaks will win when the celebration is over.

As I remember Little Dutch Boy story, the people lived under a hostile sea just as Christians are pilgrims in a foreign land. If the little drips grew up to be wall crashers the destructive "chaos" would flow over the good, the bad and the ugly. The believers have always been "little boys" in a man's world who have had to hold the walls together while the Nehemiah-like clergy chorus was "mounting" and dancing on top alarming the enemies. The faithful have always been identified by their "fewness"

and popularity is always a sign that God is pouring out His wrath and if we understand Ephesiahs 4 correctly it is in the form of "buffoons" making fools of fools as Paul might say to the Corinthians.

Whoa. Get us some Mental Awareness 101aaa. That is why there is a Restoration Movement! Did you miss that?

These are all denominational groups which have their own walls and you will not get in without their permission any sooner than any "decadent and deliterious" church of Christ. Try getting and posting BSF literature on the Web! Just try to get it! Try to become a leader! You break down the wall but they get your sheep!

That is why we follow Jesus and leave those walls up! Just reading the PK football paradigm makes the identification with ancient charismatic fanny-patting practices of mind-control certain.

Mike Cope: As Leonard Allen has insightfully written in this issue, "It is long past time for us to acknowledge the great stream of historic trinitarian Christian faith, a stream often muddy and polluted, to be sure, but a stream that nonetheless has proclaimed the love of the Father, known the grace of the Lord Jesus, and experienced the fellowship of the Spirit.

The Presbyterian, W. Robertson, in 1868 defined the true "legalist"

Finally we are exhorted not to have too many laws; obedience is always grudgingly offered to laws regarding trifling matters. The authority of the New Testament in regard to all matters which, resting on his own private opinion, the Christian may think to be of little value, is thus set aside;

the Redeemer's own sentiment ignored, that he that is unfaithful in little will be unfaithful also in much.

And we venture to think that not those who disapprove of,

but those who introduce services and peculiarities which are trifling and insignificant,
are the guilty parties here.

Those who sow discord have eternally claimed that the ones who resist the introduction of instruments are guilt of sowing discord. This is the Guilt Clause. The Pope tried that on Martin Luther and John Calvin.

Surely they are not guilty of petty legislation
........... who desire to drink of the unadulterated stream from the living fountain of God's Word,
........... ........... and to distribute that alone for the healing and refreshment of the nations;

but those unquestionably are who would pollute that pure stream, by introducing the muddy waters of the outside world to mingle them with its crystal flood, how infinitesimal soever the mixture may be, and desire to inveigle Synods and Assemblies by belittling pretences, to approve by solemn deed of their pettifogging efforts.

"Secretary Walpole," said one, "could not keep London people out of their own parks;" therefore,
we should not be hindered from having organs in all our churches; inferring, no doubt,
we can put them in whether you will or not.
By all this variety of pretence we are induced to part with the precious privilege of appealing in all things to the Divine Word.

We repeat:

A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring. Proverbs 25:26

It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory. Proverbs 25:27

He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. Proverbs 25:28

The "main polluted stream" of humanity was to be avoided. Even among the Jews there would be just a tiny remnant:

AND there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: Isaiah 11:1

Woe unto them for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. Jude 1:11

These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; Jude 1:12

These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever 2Pe.2:17

Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. Jude 1:13

These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having mens persons in admiration because of advantage. Jude 1:16

But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; Jude 1:17

God through Ezekiel would not allow those who have muddied the water to let the lambs drink from a muddy and polluted stream. The "stream" of the Word flowing out of Zion is still just as fresh as when it was turned loose: Bible 101aaa:

I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel. Ezekiel 34:14

I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord God. Ezekiel 34:15

I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick:

but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment. Ezekiel 34:16

As for you, my flock, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will judge between one sheep and another, and between rams and goats. Ezekiel 34:17

Is it not enough for you to feed on the good pasture? Must you also trample the rest of your pasture with your feet? Is it not enough for you to drink clear water? Must you also muddy the rest with your feet? Ezekiel 34:18

Must my flock feed on what you have trampled and drink what you have muddied with your feet? Ezekiel 34:19

Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says to them: See, I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep. Ezekiel 34:20

Because you shove with flank and shoulder, butting all the weak sheep with your horns (coronets) until you have driven them away, Ezekiel 34:21

I will save my flock, and they will no longer be plundered. I will judge between one sheep and another. Ezekiel 34:22

I will place over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will tend them; he will tend them and be their shepherd. Ezekiel 34:23

And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. Jn.10:16

Doctors of the Law, did you get the point? No! Well, the point is that the stream muddied by self-glorying "shepherds" has a fountainhead: this is why the Restoration Movement must absolutely discount any of the trinitarian stream-muddiers and return to the "fountain free, 'tis for you and me."

Only when Christ is the Shepherd is it safe for the sheep to sleep outside the walls.

Again:

That also sounds like psycho babel to me. The stream of historic trinitarian Christian faith never saw the Rubel Shelly version of three members of the God family able to stand side by side or face to face where "Father" god and Spirit god ace out the son god so that He would have to come to earth and die for mankind. Neither did the early Restoration Movement believe in the ancient pagan, neo-trinitarian dogma which Paul Tillich says would have been heresy before the liberal 19th century. Woe to you who drink water from every fountain,

For suddenly shall ye be consumed and wither away,
Because ye have forsaken the fountain of life.

The urge to "recognize" or "affirm" is a guilt complex which some preachers have because of their past judgmentalism. However, most of us don't have time to "flow" all around the country meeting buddies and selling books and heaping ridicule on those who don't want their walls broken down. Most of us are fully and gainfully occupied in being our little "yeast cell" in our own community where there is not time to "fellowship" more than 10% of our own group. This urge to affirm all is a God-Complex of the silliest kind. I really think that "ecumenical" means "there are more Baptist and Catholic book buyers than church of Christers."

The lust to affirm everyone in a ecumenical movement inside of a rubber wineskin is the same judgmentalism which on its obverse side declared that no one is ok. The same judgmentalism heaped on denominations is now heaped on those who payed their bills and put their kids through college. Don't they all get meaner as they reach retirement age?

Mike Cope: Too many now realize that Scripture permits all followers of the Lord to use their gifts not just men.

We don't worry about Scripture: we worry about the ruling pastor replacing Jesus and the elders. The assembly is narrowly defined as a synagogue or school of the Bible: Peter outlaws private interpretations which is further expounding. That would define the Spirit of Christ as incompetene.
1Pet. 4:11 If any man speak,
let him speak as the oracles of God;
if any man minister,
let him do it as of the ability which God giveth:
that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
As far as I can determine there is no room for either male or female talent in the collective assembly. Talent claims that "I am going beyond that which is written" and that the songs and sermons of the Incarnate God of the universe are not good enough. It takes little talent to read the word and little talent to dialog it. It takes no talent to prepare and serve the Lord's Supper.

The command is not "to sing" and "song leader" is not one of those officers Christ ordained for the church. If the command to "teach and admonish one another with the pure, revealed Word of God" is obeyed it takes little human talent: to trust in human talent is to diminish the role of Christ the Spirit.

Talent is needed only with the New Wineskin Praise Craze or by preachers more devoted to themselves and performance than to the Word. That 1 hour out of 168 does not prevent any one from using any talent the other 167 hours of the long week. Our critic is fatally attached to institutional performance worship and by keeping the focus on who can and cannot perform, the broader legitimate task of evangelism can be ignored because the "audience" has been too dumbed down to recognize that the "threshing oxen" has moved in and become surrogate "father" and "husband" of the "family."

If their IQ was as high as their shoe size they would not have to embrace the world to know that artificial separations based on skin color is ungodly. However, this has been an almost-exclusively clergy problem.

The new wineskin dogma actually divides and sows discord among brothers by contending that churches of Christ divided from the Disciples not over instrumental music and world-wide organizationism but over racism (Click to see). This slander has no other object than to predjuice the wall breakers against the traditional church of Christ. It is evil, ignorant and the walls will let the beasts in to drink your wine and even trample down the vines so that nothing can grow but thorns.

The new wineskin doctors of the law parrot the common view that churches of Christ divided over the Civil War and racism. In fact, churches of Christ did not but Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterians and Catholics did. And most groups fought the lust to add instrumental music. It ends with the Civil War which was really a religious war. Dominant females have been at the core of these divisions where "one breach-loading rifle had more moral power than a hundred bibles."

Mike Cope: And too many have learned how the Spirit has gifted our mentally handicapped sisters and brothers to exclude them any longer (as they have been in places) from the ministries of the church.

I would really enjoy a "for example." I believe that this is just made up like Gallup determined that 80% of preacher's stories were not factual -- just made up. Then, what is the point? Are believers who don't have the inclination or time to "fellowship" the world in a new, wide-open wineskin more destrutive of the handicaped? Is that the point? It is a historical fact that conservative believers have built the orphan homes and do the medical missions while new wineskin merchants sip the wine in a Catholic Euchrist. Conservatives always built the colleges and universities and they were all stolen by the wall-breakers who made grand appartments for the "Tobias" of the world in the old food pantry.

The point seems to be that "WE are good guys but THEY are bad guys. Therefore, you should leave your church and join our new movement." Is this sowing discord among brethren or what?

........... but they will not do them:

for with their mouth they shew much love,
........... but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

32 And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song (amourous) of one

that hath a pleasant voice,
..... and can play well on an instrument:

for they hear thy words,
..... but they do them not.

33 And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.

Scripture, Jesus, Paul and Frost should not be proof-texted to gain authority for breaking down walls and sowing discord:

Mike Cope again: "The problem was that his neighbor, following an old proverb of his father, beleived that "good fences make good neighbors. They make sure boundaries are clearly defined. No amount of reasoning and experience could convince him otherwise.

Mike does not grasp that there are lambs on this side and dogs or wolves on the other: dogs and wolves are lusting to steal your flock to eat them up or in the human sense make love with them.

Jesus would not agree with either Robert Frost's mischief or Mike Cope's theology:

To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, 1 Peter 2:4

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 1 Peter .2:5

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. 1 Peter 2:6

Unto you therefore which believe he is precious:

No. Jesus Christ said nothing about being enemy of walls: Paul said nothing about breaking down walls. Rather Paul wrote to warn us that we are not the wall kickers downers:

First, the wall between Jew and Gentile:

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: Ephesians 2:12

Both have to come inside the "walls" of His body or temple and the barbarians are still outside the walls. Those who kick down walls, therefore, may be the barbarians.

Of Male-Female:

Edersheim notes that:

"The separation of the sexes, which was observed even in the Temple at the time of Christ,

was strictly carried out in the synagogues,
such division being made effectual by a partition,
boarded off and provided with gratings,
to which there was separate access.

The practice seems simply in accordance with Eastern manners and modes of thinking. But the Rabbis, who seek Scripture authority for every arrangement, however trivial, find in this case their warrant in Zechariah 12:11-14, where "the wives" are no less than five times spoken of as "apart," while engaged in their prayerful mourning.

This separation was between those who were in covenant relationship: women by birth and men by circumcision. God never broke down the wall so that the beasts could get to his lambs.

This has nothing to do with breaking down the walls between those who honor Christ's Great Commission with baptism and new temple builders who deny in the general atonement power of the blood of Christ.

This is spiritual imagery: literally we go to Christ "outside the camp" while the false religionists continue to occupy temples with priests and performing mediators.
