Praying in the Holy Spirit

Praying in THE spirit or our Praying in the Holy Spirit is praying in THE spirit or in OUR spirit made holy by God. God only accepts worship in OUR SPIRIT.

I have a problem then you may pray on my behalf but you cannot pray IN MY PLACE.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. John 4:23

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24

IN SPIRIT is contrasted with Gerezim and Zion or Jerusalem. Therefore, IN SPIRIT is a PLACE and it does not mean enthusiastic or as Philo would say: "Enthus O Mania" or Paul would say, "Mad." Therefore, all mentions of worship or pray is IN THE SPIRIT or in the human mind. The human mind is like the Most Holy Place of the temple where we meet God one person at a time. The Most Holy place could not be entered by the "musical" Levites or anyone but the ONE priest at a time in darkness and in silence.

There is no remote hint that praying in the holy Spirit is speaking in tongue: if it is then Paul said don't do it in church but pray and sing only intelligible words. Rather, the gibberish was always proof of paganism when people "got drunk on wine" and then mumbled incoherent words which were translated by the "priest" and the put into a song form by the musician. For that, you paid them to tell you where to find your lost sheep or to "prophesy" about a future trip.

The human spirit is to the human mind what the Holy Spirit is to the Mind of Christ (1 Cor 2). Therefore, the ONLY place to worship God is in our own mind. It is true that we worship God as we give heed to what Christ has done and as we remember that He died for me. That is not possible with humming or singing taking place around us.

Prayer Recites the Word:

"Hallel, in Jewish ritual, selection from the Psalms, chanted as part of the liturgy during certain festivals. The more frequently used selection includes Psalms 113-118 and is known as the Egyptian Hallel, presumably because Psalm 114 begins, "When Israel went out of Egypt"

It is sung in synagogues on the first two days of Passover, on Shabuoth, on Sukkot, on each morning of the eight days of Hanukkah, and at the close of the Seder.

"The Hallel through the generations, on specific occasions: Pesachim 117a

"Hallel requires a full stomach and a satisfied spirit: Taanis 25b-26a

The reading is beloved to the people, and so they listen closely: Megillah 21b

"The Hallel as an Institution of the Prophets, to use to pray for salvation from danger: Pesachim 117a [2x] Saying the Hallel daily is blasphemous: Shabbos 118b

Praying in the Spirit is Personal:

If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpiller; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be; 1 Kings 8:37

What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague (affliction) of his own heart, and spread forth his hands (palms) toward this house:1 Kings 8:38

Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;) 1 Kings 8:39

As humans, we are all living in a body under daily attack from crowding. The body finds itself helpless against the emotions of the world. As a result, we all groan within ourselves. Jesus came to relieve, not add, more groaning burdens of the world.

For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. Romans 8:22

And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits (possession) of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. Romans 8:23

However, you cannot pray FOR me in the sense that you pray and I tag along like a puppy. One example is not clear but it is not a "regular act of worship."

And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord (unanimously), and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: Acts 4:24

Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? Acts 4:25

The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. Acts 4:26

Verse 24 is quite like 2 Kings 19:15 and the rest of the 'prayer' is a version of Psalm 2:1f. Therefore, to pray was much like to hymn where well-known passages of inspired prayers were repeated in whole or in part. This is why everyone can pray in unison, with one accord or with one voice (Rom 15)

And Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the Lord hath said will we do. Ex.24:3

But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians. Ac.19:34

It is hard to find a "leader" in this passage. Stephen prayed his own prayer in Acts 7:59 as Jesus did in John 17.

People prayed while alone or in groups but people did their own praying as they do their own singing or kissing their wife. Hannah went to the place of worship and Eli was there but she didn't ask Eli to lead her in prayer:

And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore. 1 Sam 1:10

And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head. 1 Sam 1: 11

And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli marked her mouth. 1 Sam 1: 12

When we sing and make melody in the heart we do so silently. For instance:

Now Hannah, she spake in her heart;

only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken. 1 Sam 1:13

And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee. 1 Sam 1:14

Remember, that in 1:9 praying in THE spirit meant silent prayer

So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the Lord. 1 Sam 1:9

And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the Lord. 1 Sam 1:15

Praying in the Spirit was possible because Hannah's spirit was holy.

If Hannah had consumed either wine or strong drink Eli had a right to consider her as wicked:

Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto. 1 Sam 1:16

Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him 1 Sam 1:17

And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad. 1 Sam 1:18

And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped (prostrated herself) before the Lord, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the Lord remembered her. 1 Sam 1:19

Shachah (h7812) shaw-khaw'; a prim. root; to depress, i. e. prostrate (espec. reflex. in homage to royalty or God): - bow (self) down, crouch, fall down (flat), humbly beseech, do (make) obeisance, do reverence, make to stoop, worship.

When Hannah Came to dedicate Samuel, she again prayed her own prayers made possible by her character:

AND Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation. 1 Sam 2:1

Then followed her beautiful Praying in the Holy Spirit. Prayers are usually that which God has spoken in inspiration. For instance, in Luke 1:46-55 Mary spoke:

And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, Luke 1:46

And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. Luke 1:47

For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. Luke 1: 8

For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. Luke 1:49

And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. Luke 1:50

You will notice that Mary didn't need a special time and place to pour out her praise by reciting Hannah's prophetic prayer. Nor, did she need a "prayer leader" to mediate her way into God's presence. Her character paved the way.

Jamison-Fauset-Brown 1 Cor 3:16 comments on:

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and

that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Cor 3:16

God . . . Spirit--God's indwelling, and that of the Holy Spirit, are one;

therefore the Holy Spirit is God.

No literal "temple" is recognized by the New Testament in the Christian Church.

The only one is the spiritual temple, the whole body of believing worshippers in which the Holy Spirit dwells (1 Corinthians 6:19, John 4:23,24).

The synagogue, not the temple, was the model of the Christian house of worship.

The temple was the house of sacrifice, rather than of prayer.

Prayers in the temple were silent and individual (Luke 1:10, 18:10-13), not joint and public,

nor with reading of Scripture, as in the synagogue.

The temple, as the name means (from a Greek root "to dwell"), was the earthly dwelling-place of God, where alone He put His name.

The synagogue (as the name means an assembly) was the place for assembling men.

God now too has His earthly temple, not one of wood and stone, but the congregation of believers, the "living stones" on the "spiritual house."

Believers are all spiritual priests in it. Jesus Christ, our High Priest, has the only literal priesthood (Malachi 1:11, Matthew 18:20, 1 Peter 2:5) [VITRINGA].

As there are no "worship leaders" there are no prayer leaders in the church made up of individuals needing no priestly intercession. Paul often draws a parallel between his obedience to Christ and the demand that believers do the same. Notice the parallel between his apostolic speaking and every man everywhere with no hint that this is "in church" although it might be:

Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. 1 Tim 2:7

I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. 1 Timothy 2:8

Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle,

I will therefore that men,

(I speak the truth in Christ,

pray every where

and lie not)

Lifting up holy hands,

a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

without wrath and doubting

Place does not mean "assembly" specificially: Topos (g5117) top'-os; appar. a prim. word; a spot (gen. in space, but limited by occupancy; whereas 5561 is a larger but partic. locality), i.e. location (as a position, home, tract, etc.); fig. condition, opportunity; spec. a scabbard: - coast, licence, place, * plain, quarter, / rock, room, where.

When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Mt.12:43

For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to Godward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing. 1Th.1:8

Wrath is: Orge (g3709) or-gay'; from 3713; prop. desire (as a reaching forth or excitement of the mind), i.e. (by anal) violent passion (ire, or [justifiable] abhorence); by impl. punishment: - anger, indignation, vengeance, wrath.

If this was restricted to "in church" Paul had a way to say it:

But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches. 1 Co. 7:17

Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. 1Co.14:34

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 1Ti.2:11

Like the men, the women could also pray in the spirit if she dressed and conducted herself properly. None of this was a ritual, led prayer. Your own personal prayers should be understandable if audible.

Because Paul defines "worship" primarily as giving heed to or "giving heed to the public reading of the Word" there are no PERFORMACE ROLES to which a sober woman can aspire to in a faithful church of Christ.

And since there is no WAGE EARNING or SEEING GODLINESS AS A MEANS OF FINANCIAL GAIN or "employment," women cannot aspire to be a paid minister on the pyramidal chart:

Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucres sake. Titus 1:11

If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 1Ti. 6:3

he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions 1Ti. 6:4

and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. 1Ti.6:5

While Paul restricts the public teaching, he does not thereby restrict women from praying their own prayer. Because the direct command is that TEACHING be "that which is written" and the singing and melody be in the heart, this frees women to pray in the same SPACE Jesus defined for the only worship God takes note of.

Both Hannah and Mary showed that women may pray anywhere:

Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken. 1 Sam 1:13

And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the Lord. 1 Sam 1:15

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamedfacedness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 1 Timothy 2:9

Paul difined conditions for the man to indicate his moral and spiritual character: he had holy hands which he held out like a handshake to indicate his innocence.

BEHOLD, the Lords hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: Isaiah 59:1

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Isaiah 59:2

For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. Isaiah 59:3

None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity. Isaiah 59:4

Being a male does not give him the right to even private prayers unless he can lift up holy hands.

He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. Prov 28:9

The condition of the female to prove her moral and spiritual character centered around her urge to "adorn the body."

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. 1 Peter 3:12

If Paul issued a direct command for a liturgical act of worship called "Leading in Prayer" then He repudiated the direct command and practice of Jesus Christ

Paul's Comand

Jesus' Command

I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. 1 Timothy 2:8

Women may pray anywhere because prayer is usually personal and private. Paul define the dress and deportment of women even when they, like Hannah, pray IN THEIR SPIRIT.

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. Mt.6:5

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door,

pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. Mt. 6:6

The reference to go into thy closet has been translated in other versions of the Bible as "go into your inner room." "go away by yourself," "all alone," "your [most] private room," "enter into thy chamber," and "go into your room." Therefore, Praying in the Holy Spirit was available to both men and women if they had holy hands.

The Didache written circa 60 to 100 ad is consistent with the teachings of Jesus and Paul

Didache 8:2 Neither pray ye as the hypocrites, but as the Lord hath commanded in his gospel so pray ye: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done as in heaven so on earth. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debt, as we also forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil: for thine is the power, and the glory, for ever.

Didache 8:3 Thrice a day pray ye in this fashion.

The Direct Command of Jesus for Praying in the Holy Spirit

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth:for the Father seeketh such to worship him. Jn.4:23

God is a Spirit:and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Jn.4:24

Paul also issued a direct command consistent with the command and promise of Jesus:

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Eph 6:17

Praying always with all prayer and supplication
in the Spirit,
and watching thereunto with all perseverance
and supplication for all saints; Eph 6:18

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:

the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63

For we are the circumcision,

which worship God in the spirit,
and rejoice in Christ Jesus,

and have no confidence in the flesh. Phil 3:3

For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 2 Corinthians 5:2

To the Men: I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy (not polluted by paganism) hands, without wrath (anger) and doubting (quarreling RSV). 1Ti.2:8

Men is: Aner (g435) an'-ayr; a prim. word [comp. 444]; a man (prop. as an individual male): - fellow, husband, man, sir.

To the women: In like manner (even so) also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamedfacedness and sobriety (under control); not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 1Ti.2:9

Did not say: In like manner lead in prayer audibly!!

The Lutheran, Lenski, makes the argument that if this means that:

"The men pray while "lifting up holy (not polluted by paganism) hands, without wrath (anger) and doubting (quarreling RSV). 1Ti.2:8

Then likewise it means that:

The women pray while "adorning themselves in modest apparel, with shamedfacedness and sobriety (under control); not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 1Ti.2:9

If this likewise is reciprocal then must the men pray while adorning themselves in modest garments?

What is Holy? John Chrysostom

And what is "holy"? Pure. And what is pure? Not washed with water, but free from covetousness, murder, rapacity, violence, "without wrath and doubting."

What means this? Who is angry when he prays? It means, without bearing malice.

Let the mind of him that prays be pure, freed from all passion.

Let no one approach God in enmity, or in an unamiable temper, or with "doubting." What is "without doubting"? Let us hear. It implies that we should have no misgiving but that we shall be heard. For it is said, "whatever ye ask believing ye shall receive." (Matt. xxi. 22) And again, "when ye stand praying forgive, if ye have aught against any one." (Mark xi. 25) This is to pray without wrath and doubting.

In like manner he says, I will that women approach God without wrath and doubting, lifting up holy hands: that they should not follow their own desires, nor be covetous or rapacious. For what if a woman does not rob or steal herself, but does it through means of her husband?

Paul however requires something more of women, that they adorn themselves "in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broidered hair or gold or pearls or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works." But what is this "modest apparel"? Such attire as covers them completely, and decently, not with superfluous ornaments, for the one is becoming, the other is not.

Praying in the Holy Spirit was the only thing which made this possible.

When people prayed they might all pray together for the same thing. However, the concept of "leading" in prayer seems very difficult to establish:

These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. Acts 1:14

Homothumadon (g3661) hom-oth-oo-mad-on'; adv. from a comp. of the base of 3674 and 2372; unanimously: - with one accord (mind).

While "with one accord" often has a spark plug, the concept does not allow anyone to be passive.

And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat, Ac.18:12

And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Pauls companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre. Ac.19:29

And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither. Ac.16:13

Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity (truth). 1Ti 2:7

> No.

Prov 28:9

> The condition of the female to prove here moral and spiritual character centered around her urge to "adorn the body."

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. 1 Peter 3:12

Do you suppose that God can only hear "in tongues"?

> > This does not mean that either prayed aloud or led in prayer.

Where We Worship in Prayer

God is a secret God: He is hidden from the world and His kingdom cannot be observed because "it is within you."

Kruptos (g2927) kroop-tos'; from 2928; concealed, i.e. private: - hid (-den), inward [-ly], secret.

But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. Ro.2:29

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. Mt.13:44

The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; Mt.13:38

And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Luke 17:20

Neither shall they say, Lo here or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Luke 17:21

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Ep.5:18

Jesus, therefore, insisted that to "worship in spirit" in the sense of speaking to God must be in the secret place. We note that Jesus stood up to read the scrolls because they rested on the pulpit.

Candles "attended the transport of the book of the Gospels to the ambo or pulpit from which the deacon read" Catholic Encyclopedia on Candles.

However, after reading, Jesus had the common decency to sit down. Therefore,

Mt. 6:6

Jesus not only issued a direct command but He gave us an approved example:

And he was withdrawn from them about a stones cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Lu.22:41

Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; Heb. 5:7

Not even Jesus "led" prayers even though He gave a simple prayer.

People prayed "at the same time" but prayer is individual. Therefore,

Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christs sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; Rom 15:30

Sunagonizomai (g4865) soon-ag-o-nid'-zom-ahee; from 4862 and 75; to struggle in company with, i.e. (fig.) to be a partner (assistant): - strive together with.

Paul also issued a direct command consistent with the command and promise of Jesus. Again

Praying always with all prayer and supplication
in the Spirit,
and watching thereunto with all perseverance
and supplication for all saints; Eph 6:18

How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. Jude 18

These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. Jude 19

Psuchikos (g5591) psoo-khee-kos'; from 5590; sensitive, i.e. animate (in distinction on the one hand from 4152, which is the higher or renovated nature; and on the other from 5446, which is the lower or bestial nature): - natural, sensual.

This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. Ja.3:15

Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) Ph.3:19

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith,

praying in the Holy Ghost, Jude 20

Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Jude 21

Arnobius wrote: 31. O greatest, O Supreme Creator of things invisible! O Thou who art Thyself unseen, and who art incomprehensible! Thou art worthy, Thou art verily worthy-if only mortal tongue may speak of Thee-that all breathing and intelligent nature should never cease to feel and to return thanks;

that it should throughout the whole of life fall on bended knee, and offer supplication with never-ceasing prayers.

For Thou art the first cause; in Thee created things exist, and Thou art the space in which rest the foundations of all things, whatever they be. Thou art illimitable, unbegotten, immortal, enduring for aye,

God Thyself alone, whom no bodily shape may represent, no outline delineate; of virtues inexpressible, of greatness indefinable; unrestricted as to locality, movement, and condition,

concerning whom nothing can be clearly expressed by the significance of man's words.

That Thou mayest be understood,
we must be silent;
and that erring conjecture may track
Thee through the shady cloud,
no word must be uttered.

That means that PRAYER IS IN THE HUMAN SPIRIT and not speaking in tongues as guided by the Holy Spirit as a third member of the God family or tribe

Paul condemned the "uncovered prophesying" by the women which would have been speaking gibberish just like the women up the coast at the oracle of Apollo (Abaddon or Apollyon).

However, the tongues which Paul condemned for the public assembly would be a known tongue or even the power to speak a tongue which they had not learned so that they could minister to the thousands of different dialects streaming through Corinth.

The Greeks acknowledged 5 languages and all of the minor dialects were known as TONGUES. These were all minor dialects known by someone and NONE of them were speaking gibberish which would have identified them as MAD.

Click to see what Paul understood by the word TONGUES.

The Holy Spirit is the Mind of Christ in us. Click to see a Holy Spirit Index.

Instrumental music as "worship" has always been condemned.
