The local church has gone through the PURPOSE DRIVE CULT method of hostile takeover. Some even DIVERT the leavings of a dead, cripple widow. The plan is to PURPOSE to build a facility, get it largely paid for and then DIVERT the money into a COMMUNITY CHURCH or an otherwise EFFEMINATE "worship" centered aroung erotic "praise songs." Once "christian colleges" actually CLAIM to plan to destroy the conservative churches by training ADVANCED DEGREES (About 150⁰F) to go out as Prophets, Chanellers and Facilitators to act as CHANGE AGENTS. After driving off many of the faithful, the next phase is to try to convince you that YOUR faith and practice is based on your heritage. The agreed-on big lie is that churches of Christ are sectarians and traditionalists because they WOULD NOT ADD instruments after 2,000 years of NOT using instruments. But what are the facts?

Bruce McIntyre: We owe much to our forefathers in the f'aith who taught us to hold Scripture in such high regard. Because of this rich heritage, we have a very high view of the Bible. And, we believe that we ought always to go back to the Bible for our direction and authority in the church.

Bruce McIntyre: But all too often, I hear statements about what it (the Bible) says that are not necessarily true. I have heard many statements that are more about not changing a method of ministry or that are more about keeping everybody happy than they are about Scripture.

A preacher is NOT a preacher: he is a teacher of the Word which repudiates MINISTRY SYSTEMS which the KING imposed when the ELDERS fired God and demanded a human king. God told them that the king would take a TITHE which he had no right to and would form a PYRAMIDAL MINISTRY system by dividing people into groups and sub-groups. His FRIENDS would become part of the STAFF INFECTION and even turn the boys into makers of instruments and to run before the KING to toot the common people out of the way.

You can see it comming: you have been a Bible student longer than Bruce McIntyre has been alive. But, you cannot read the Bible and what YOU believe is rotten traditionalism. However--for a price, always for a price--I will tell you what the Bible REALLY says. And the DELIBERATE SOWING OF DISCORD by a hireling working for the old traditionalists hallucinates that YOU pay him in order to give you some NEW TRADITIONS which are anti-Biblical and anti-Christian. He thinks that the lies learned in a once-christian university also stolen from the church are TRUE because he has been CERTIFIED as a scholar. But, Jesus fired the Doctors of the Law because, then and now, they TAKE AWAY THE KEY TO KNOWLEDGE.

Bruce McIntyre: Now, we all want peace and unity and God calls us to be considerate of one another (Romans 14; I Corinthians 8; Philippians 2). But, we must also be honest with Scripture as we seek to practice truth.

In order for "me" to teach you the Bible [where many of the women could shame the novice] I MIGHT have to destroy the PEACE and UNITY. Jesus said that as "son" He spoke only what He heard from the "father" Who was within. That WORD is the only thing Jesus said could create unity. Of the potential trouble from the Orphic and Dionysic "music traditions" in Rome, Paul defined the "synagogue" where the only way for ONE MIND and ONE VOICE glorify God in Christ was to speak "that which is written" by the Spirit of Christ. Peter and Paul lay down the WORD as the MARK Christ created as a way to identify the FALSE TEACHER.

But, they all say from their script: "your heritage about MUSIC is based on tradition" as if the Bible wasn't clear and history universally agrees with what churches of Christ say about music AS worship.

Bruce will not find ONE WRITER in church history who will support music other than in perverted paganism. However, Rubel Shelly, master of the Heisenberg Uncertainty principle believes that it means that you cannot "shoot" your eyes at an old document like the Bible without changing its meaning. Therefore, you need to procure a GOD MANIPULATOR to discern truth as one Hohenwald elder claims.

Rick Atchley attributes our refusal to yield on instrumental music to "our pride and our refusal to admit that cultural baggage has influenced a lot of who we are."

He says, "We all have cultures that taught us what we believe about what is right and wrong and what the Bible says..."

How is it that those who lie about OUR heritage are the ones who are not burdened by principles like LYING, INFILTRATING, STEALING. One of the marks of a DEMON is that they CANNOT BLUSH.

But, "In pagan traditions, musical instruments are invented by gods or demi-gods, such as titans. In the Bible, credit is assigned to antediluvian patriarchs, for example, the descendants of Cain in Genesis 4:21. There is no other biblical tradition about the invention of musical instruments." But, "education" for an advanced degree depends almost none on the Bible and ALL about reading TRADITIONS from whence new novice scholars get THEIR NEW "bible."

Bruce McIntyre: "I have endeavored to read the Scriptures as though no one had read them before me; and I am as much on my guard against reading them today, through the medium of my own views yesterday, or a week ago, as I am of being influenced by any foreign name, authority, or system, whatever," Alexander Campbeil stated in the Christian Baptist in 1826.

But, wouldn't it be hypocritical to suggest that the church rests the doctrine of "music" and "baptism" on OUR HERATAGE, allude to Alexander Campbell, and then SUBSTITUTE a preacher which Campbell repudiated to look afresh at the Bible? Isn't that about as juvenile as pretending to WORSHIP for YOU or LEAD me into the presence of God? I have found none of these "scholars" who can quote anyone without making them into liars.

Alexander Campbell specificially spoke of repudiating the writings of other restoration PREACHERS.

For the last ten years I have not looked into the works of any of these men; and have lost the taste which I once had for controversial reading of this sort. And during this period my inquiries into the christian religion have been almost exclusively confined to the holy scriptures.

That would EXCLUDE listening to sermons!

And I can assure you that the scriptures, when made their own interpreter, and accompanied with earnest desires to the author of these writings, have become, to me, a book entirely new, and unlike what they were when read and consulted as a book of reference--

I call no man master (teacher-preacher) upon the earth; and although my own father has been a diligent student, and teacher of the christian religion since his youth; and, in my opinion, understands this book as well as any person with whom I am acquainted, yet there is no man with whom I have debated more, and reasoned more, on all subjects of this kind, than he--I have been so long disciplined in the school of free inquiry, that, if I know my own mind, there is not a man upon the earth whose authority can influence me, any farther than he comes with the authority of evidence, reason, and truth. To arrive at this state of mind is the result of many experiments and efforts; and to me has been arduous beyond expression. I have endeavored to read the scriptures as though no one had read them before me; and I am as much on my guard against reading them to-day, through the medium of my own views yesterday, or a week ago, as I am against being influenced by any foreign name, authority, or system, whatever.

A letter in response made it clear that Alexander Campbell denied ANY support for preachers:

But I hasten to your remark on ministerial support. You say--"Your views of ministerial support, directed against abuses on that head, would be useful; but levelled against all support to ministers, (unless by way of alms,) is so palpably contrary to scripture and common justice, that I persuade myself that there must be some misunderstanding."

The Bible and ALL of early church history agrees with Campbell. Like music, preaching rather than teaching, was one of those things we identify as APOSTASY of the first order. I have collected about everything written on the topic here.

Campbell responded in part:

A hireling is one who prepares himself for the office of a "preacher" or "minister," as a mechanic learns a trade, and who obtains a license from a congregation, convention, presbytery, pope, or diocesan bishop, as a preacher or minister, and agrees by the day or sermon, month or year, for a stipulated reward. This definition requires explanation. That such, however, is a hireling, requires little demonstration. He learns the art and mystery of making a sermon, or a prayer, as a man learns the art of making a boot or a shoe. He intends to make his living in whole, or in part, by making sermons and prayers, and he sets himself up to the highest bidder. He agrees for so much a sermon, or for fifty-two in the wholesale way, and for a certain sum he undertakes to furnish so many; but if a better offer is made him when his first contract is out, (and sometimes before it expires,) he will agree to accept a better price. Such a preacher or minister, by all the rules of grammar, logic, and arithmetic, is a hireling in the full sense of the word.

But there are other hirelings not so barefaced as these, who pretend to be inwardly moved by the Holy Spirit to become ministers, and who spurn at any other qualification than the impressions and suggestions of the Holy Spirit, who are under an awful wo if they do not preach; and yet agree merely in the capacity of supplies, or preachers, to act the preacher for some small consideration. Upon the whole, I do not think we will err very much in making it a general rule, that every man who receives money for preaching the gospel, or for sermons, by the day, month, or year, is a hireling in the language of truth and soberness--whether he preaches out of his saddlebags, or from the immediate suggestions of the Holy Spirit.

Bruce McIntyre: As we engage the issues that concern us, let us take into consideration the understanding of teachers past and present. But, may we also go back to the Bible for ourselves to read it afresh and to allow the Word of God to work on us!

Is it dishonesty to quote Alexander Campbell about reading the Bible afresh when Campbell meant reading the Bible afresh FOR HIMSELF. Campbell directly repudiated listening to or reading other preachers stuff. He went further in the same issue and proved the 1800 years of church history that there is no role for a LOCATED MISSIONARY using Rubel Shelly's words.

Therefore, if Bruce McIntyre continues to repudiate baptism and defend the position in favor of instrumental music by PREACHING stale heresy then he becomes a Hypocrite.

If Bruce and the Hohenwald elders could READ the Word and believe it they could easily trounce a novice trying to prove the unprovable.

One of the elders apparently can now read or hear the WORDS about Jesus which could not fit into the Bible. Since the VISIONS contradict Jesus he calls God a liar just as he does in repudiating baptism. Believeth not is defined as TREACHERY and INFIDELITY and so is betraying one's own flock and opening the gate to let the wolves get in.

That churches of Christ do not believe these based on "HERITAGE or TRADITIONALISM" is a really big lie as an literate reader can grasp. Bruce and the elders treat the BODY with contempt for planning to COLLECT and DIVERT the funds of the people. They treat them with contempt believing that their AUTHORITY is so CELESTIAL (as at Madison) that to QUESTION a self-selected elder is evil.

First, The Apostolic Constitutions from about the year 205 by those called "The Church of Christ" says: "If a keeper of harlots or one belonging to the theatre come, whether it be man or woman or one that plays on the pipe, on the lute, or on the harp at those games, or a dancing-master or an huckster, if he submit to those rules, let him be received; but if he refuse them, let him be rejected.

"Philodemus considered it paradoxical that music should be regarded as veneration of the gods while musicians were paid for performing this so-called veneration. Again, Philodemus held as self deceptive the view that music mediated religious ecstasy (charismatic insanity). He saw the entire condition induced by the noise of cymbals and tambourines as a disturbance of the spirit. [Science agrees]

"He found it significant that, on the whole, only women and effeminate men fell into this folly. Accordingly, nothing of value could be attributed to music; it was no more than a slave of the sensation of pleasure, which satisfied much in the same way that food and drink did." Amos called it "fleeting pleasure" and science knows that it is a DRUG HIGH producing strong sexual feelings.

Scholars note that one man and a flock of troubled women can destroy any church. Eve was ZOE in the Greek language. SHE was wholly seduced according to Paul as a bride gets pregnant before the wedding. Therefore, Cain (meaning a musical note) is identified as "OF the evil one." One of Cain's offspring, Jubal (meaning trumpet or Jubilee) was the father OF musical performers who HANDLE instruments. "Handle" means WITHOUT AUTHORITY. Music, sexuality and homosexuality have always been THE MARK of pagan, musical worship which naturally DOES NOT WANT to get washed by God. The word SINGER is derived directly from the wandering minstrels who were prostitutes. Male minstrels were Sodomites. That is why Jesus CAST OUT the musical ministers MORE OR LESS VIOLENTLY as one CASTS OUT DUNG. The same authorities in many cities such as Athens regulated the Flute-girl-prostitutes, the DUNG HEAP and the CEMETARY.

"Women and girls from the different ranks of society were proud to enter the service of the gods as singers and musicians. The understanding of this service was universal: these singers constituted the 'harem of the gods'." Catholic priest Quasten.

Men who became MUSICAL PRIESTS were castrated or even had their sex changed. They were USED to attract "worshipers" and to be USED for the act of worship worse than that advised by---

Carol Wimber is the MOTHER of the end-time harlot performers just in time to fulfill Revelation 18. Just as in most pagan religions where sexuality and homosexuality were ACTS of worship SOLD by the priests and priestesses. Women who allow themselves to be "aroused" (being mantic is being insane or mad according to Paul) must understand that the most ancient tribal leaders used women performers to AFFIRM their own Alpha maleness. Scholars note that in the Greek world, males who sang and also played around (never in) the temples were male prostitutes or drunk. The word "authority" prohibited by Paul is authentia: it is both erotic and murderous--like CCM "praise songs." Women cannot exhibit without arousing others and no Phd can explain Paul away without confessing ignorance of human nature.

Jesus built an ekklesia or synagogue: both are Greek words. Synagogue was a school of the Bible. It "had no praise service." Thomas Campbell called the church "the school of Christ." Obedient to Paul, he defined worship as giving heed to the word. However, the "mother" of modern sexual worship, Carol Wimber of the Vineyard (aka new wineskins), strokes the heresy and the "New Style Song Books." The goal is to have a sexual experience with "god" just before "giving of means." [Wouldn't you know it: just like the temples in Corinth and the uncovered women prophesiers of 1 Cor 11:5 and the Lord, Lord sayers Jesus doesn't know.]

CATHOLICS "The Gnostic, Bardesanes, composed 150 psalms. However, the 59th canon of the Synod of Laodicea, 360 AD, enjoined that 'No psalm composed by private individuals nor any uncanonical books may be read in the church, but only...the Canonical Books of the OT and NT." (Int Std. Bible Ency., Psalm, p. 2494a). In Gnostic circles religious poetry arose to compete with the Old Testament Psalms.

BAPTISTS "In my earliest intercourse among this people, congregational singing generally prevailed among them... This instrument (i.e. the organ), which from time immemorial has been associated with cathedral pomp and prelatical power, and has always been the peculiar favorite of great national churches, at length found its way into Baptist sanctuaries, and the first one ever employed by the denomination in this country, and probably in any other, might have been standing in the singing gallery of the Old Baptist meeting house in Pawtucket, about forty years ago, where I then officiated as pastor (1840) (Benedict, Fifty Years Among the Baptists, pgs. 204-207)

METHODISTS "We have just received an account of about 30,000 Methodists in England, withdrawing from that church and connexion, because the Conference disapproved of the introduction of instrumental music to the churches." Editor Barton W. Stone mid 1800s

PRESBYTERIAN speaking of Catholics: "...although lapsing more and more into defection from the truth and into a corruption of apostolic practice, had no instrumental music for twelve hundred years and that the Calvinistic Reformed Church ejected it from its services as an element of Popery...The historical argument, therefore, combines with the Scriptural and the confessional to raise a solemn and powerful protest against its employment by the Presbyterian Church. It is heresy in the sphere of worship." (John Girardeau, Instrumental Music in the Church, p. 17). [Music flowed directly out of witchcraft and the "awakenings."]

John Calvin, like all literate scholars, demanded that faith and practice be based on "commands from the New Testament Scriptures." Presbyterians have been the most articulate in defining music as idolatry because it steals attention from Christ and His songs and sermons. GIVING HEED to the TRUTH is Paul's worship word.

The Judas Bag was attached to the flute case of the perverted Dionysians and it was for "carrying the mouthpieces of wind instruments." Psalm 41 promised that Judas would fail in his TRIUMPH OVER which means to "play instruments and make a joyful noise to the Lord." This was not worship but the national PANIC noise of the warrior Levites--under the king and army commanders!

MARTIN LUTHER correctly identifies the so-called "singing passages" as unison teaching to promote unity: not to deliberately sow discord. Luther called the organ the ensign or MARK of BAAL.

I have annotated and posted about 30 scholars down through history all repudiating "spirit disturbance" caused by music AS worship. And 33 documents showing why Jude warned about God coming with ten thousand saints for those specificially who followed Satan's "Pied Pipers" or "Pans" away from the Living Word of God.

Ask for proof that churches of Christ became a SECT by refusing, like Jesus, to sing and dance while they pipe. "Scholarly" postmodern thought will not call it lying.

ALL WHO IDENTIFY THE FAITH AND PRACTICE OF CHURCHES OF CHRIST ON MUSIC (AS TEACHING) AND THE NECESSITY OF BAPTISM AS OUR HERITAGE OR OUR TRADITION IS NOW FOUND TO BE A LIAR.
