Mike Cope Women Worship Leaders
A Church or Ekklesia of Christ is commanded to READ or SPEAK that which is written for our LEARNING. Jesus said that Doctors of the law such as Scribes and Pharisees take away the kEY to learning knowledge. Scripture and The Classical writers drew a Red Line in the Sand against the class of people devoted to SOPHIA and those devoted to LOGOS.
There is not a single example of anyone, INCLUDING DAVID, who is ever said to have WORSHIPPED by speaking, listening, singing, playing instruments, acting or PAY FOR PLAY. If that sounds strange it is because those for HIRE selling their own words have ever, may maybe cannot, stop long enough to understanding that worship is not in HOUSES or HANDS of "worship performers.

All words translated as Spirit or Ghost literally means WIND ONLY. It is used of the BREATH of God who inspired the Prophets and Jesus of Nazareth who was MADE to be Lord and Christ when God gave Him that role. Speaking of Unity in Diversity Paul silences the cunning craftsmen or sophists--speakers, singers or instrument players--because they are MARKED as LYING IN WAIT TO DECEIVE. It would be impossible to believe that the Spirit OF Christ is another GOD person.

The WORD or LOGOS is what God SPEAKS. It is the Regularive Principle. It EXCLUDES rhetoric, singing, playing instruments or acting. To reject the Word is the mark of ANTICHRIST.
The Spirit OF Christ in Isaiah says of those who do NOT speak the WORD that THERE IS NO LIGHT IN THEM.

FIRST: Logos meant that they needed to discuss something important. In order not to be "fluted down with wine" they voted to dismiss the flute and harp boys and girls. That was Paul's warning so that they could SPEAK the Biblical text for LEARNING.
SECOND: Sophia meant they couldn't discuss anything. Paul outlawed self pleasure which is the heresy or sectarian disturbance of rhetoric, singing or playing instruments.

Then Eryximachus propounds an idea of Phaedrus, that Eros is the best possible theme for encomia, and suggests that each of the party in turn, commencing with Phaedrus, should now deliver an encomium on Eros. This suggestion is applauded by Socrates. Of the encomia the most noteworthy were the following:
THE ONE-PIECE PATTERN OF GOD WHICH REJECTS SOPHIA:d The varying nomoi [Legalism] concerning Eros may be classified thus:
(1) In all Greek states except Athens the nomos is simple, either
(a) approving paederastia, as in Elis and Boeotia; or
(b) condemning it, as in Ionia and states subject to barbarian rule,
where it is held to foster a dangerous spirit of independence (e.g. Harmodius and Aristogiton).
(2) At Athens the nomos is complex. (a) Eros is approved, and its excesses condoned, when directed towards superior youths approaching manhood. (b) It appears to be condemned, in so far as parents forbid their boys to hold converse with erastae. The explanation of this ambiguous attitude must be sought in the principle laid down above, that the moral quality of an act depends upon the conditions of its performance.

Luke 1:72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers,
and to remember his holy covenant;
Luke 1:73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
Luke 1:74 That he would grant unto us,
that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies
might serve him without fear,
Luke 1:75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
Luke 1:76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest:
for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
Luke 1:77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
Luke 1:78 Through the tender mercy of our God;

Luke 1:79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Miriam was a prophetess because she was an Egyptian and as a virtual princess would serve Hathor or the female Apis or golden calf. The musical idolatry at Mount Sinai got Israel turned over to worship the starry host (Acts 7 etal) and sentenced to captivity and death in Babylon: that is THE LAW.
Miriam means:
Miryam (h4813) meer-yawm'; from 4805; rebelliously; Mirjam, the name of two Israelitesses: - Miriam.
Meriy (h4805) mer-ee'; from 4784; bitterness, i. e. (fig.) rebellion; concr. bitter, or rebellious: - bitter, rebellion, rebellious).Marah (h4784) maw-raw'; a prim. root; to be (caus. make) bitter (or unpleasant); (fig.) to rebel (or resist; causat. to provoke): - bitter, change, be disobedient, disobey, grievously, provocation, provoke (- ing), (be) rebel (against, -lious).
"In the first place, it will be noticed from the account of the triumphant rejoicing on the shore of the Red Sea that the men sang only: 'Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake saying.'" (Girardeau, George, p. 33)
"In the second place, it was Miriam and the women who used instruments of music on the occasion: 'And Miriam, the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went after her with timbrels and with dances." (George Girardeau, Presbyterian.).
The PLAY at Mount Sinai would have been led by women prophetesses. That violation of The Book of the Covenant which was SILENT about the use of Egyptian music was seen by God as their prayer and He TURNED THEM OVER TO WORSHIP THE STARRY HOST.
"The triumphal hymn of Moses had unquestionably a religious character about it; but the employment of music in religious services, though idolatrous, is more distinctly marked in the festivities which attended the erection of the golden calf." (Smith's Bible Dictionary, Music, p. 589).
When Miriam took the lead over Aaron and claimed that her "prophesying" was the WORD of God, He smacked her with leprosy
"She was "the sister of Moses, was the eldest of that sacred family; and she first appears, probably as a young girl, watching her infant brother's cradle in the Nile, (Exodus 2:4) and suggesting her mother as a nurse. ver. 7. After the crossing of the Red Sea "Miriam the prophetess" is her acknowledged title. ch. (Exodus 15:20) The prophetic power showed itself in her under the same form as that which it assumed in the days of Samuel and David,
poetry, accompanied with music and processions. ch. (Exodus 15:1-19)
"She took the lead, with Aaron, in the complaint against Moses for his marriage with a Cushite, (Numbers 12:1,2) and for this was attacked with leprosy. This stroke and its removal, which took place at Hazeroth, form the last public event of Miriam's life. ch. (Numbers 12:1-15) She died toward the close of the wanderings at Kadesh, and was buried there. ch. (Numbers 20:1) (B.C. about 1452.) (Smith's Bible Dictionary)
God warned:

A NEW DAY CONFERENCE: KAIROS (DEVIL) CHURCH PLANTERS
Mike Cope ACappella Music The castrated opra singers were imported to the Sistine Chapel (capel) as "worship team" where instruments were outlawed in the Pope''s presence. They replaced the FALSETTO WORSHIP TEAM who could not compete. The SYLE of singing was ORGANUM which was chanting with one and later two notes. After castrating was outlawed composers wrote TROUSER'S SONGS known as PRAISE SONGS. Musical performers known as PARASITES had to be male but they had to perform the role of women. That is the MARK of worship services to which the kingdom does not come.
All musical terms and names of instruments point to sorcery or witchcraft. That is because the witch of Endor used an old wineskin stretched over a hole in the ground as her "familiar spirit." Where then are those who dare to mutilate themselves; seeing that they draw down the Apostolic curse, and accuse the workmanship of God, and take part with the Manichees?
Chrysostom understood that the pagans used vocal or instrumental noise to stir up or create anxiety so that they could steal your food money. Christ outlawed this in Isaiah 55. Christ outlawed BLASPHEMY in the modern context of saying that God commanded instrumental distractions when He DID NOT.
But if you will not allow this, why do you not mutilate the tongue for blasphemy, the hands for rapine, the feet for their evil courses, in short, the whole body?

ONE OF THE NACC'S PROOF TEXTS
Plut. Per. 1 You may use your time for MUSIC or LEARNING
Nay, many times, on the contrary, while we delight in the work, we despise the workman, as, for instance, in the case of perfumes and dyes; we take a delight in them, but dyers and perfumers we regard as illiberal and vulgar folk. [5] Therefore it was a fine saying of Antisthenes, when he heard that Ismenias was an excellent piper: But he's a worthless man, said he, otherwise he wouldn't be so good a piper. And so Philip once said to his son, who, as the wine went round, plucked the strings charmingly and skilfully, Art not ashamed to pluck the strings so well? It is enough, surely, if a king have leisure to hear others pluck the strings, and he pays great deference to the Muses if he be but a spectator of such contests.Alexander PLUCKED (the only meaning of Psallo) trying to seduce a young man whose hairs had been plucked.
- Mike Cope is hired to convert preachers to the use of "instrumental music."
- He-they-all say that God commanded instrumental music as Worship.
- God reputed the angels of blight from Genesis to Revelation.
- If God hath NOT commanded instruments the Spirit OF Christ calls that blasphemy.
God hates the music in the temples (Amos 8) and He hates sowing discord.
The "progressives" pushed by the NACC bet their souls that all of the radical connecting instruments to the devil and the LAKE OF FIRE is just lying. They have a new PARADIGM (pattern) which

The Spirit OF Christ did not give a role or dole to preachers, musicians and clowns. The "progressives" promote Unity in Diversity as long as you take the mark of the beast defined as "a new style of music or Satyric (cappella) drama." Jesus wants any APT elder to eject the cunning craftsmen or SOPHISTS meaning performance preachers for HIRE, singers or instrument players. Jesus called the Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites and in Ezekiel 33 Christ names speaker, singers and instrument players. Jesus said that God HIDES from the wise or sophists: speakers, singers or instrument players.
Patrick Mead is a favorite comic and He is endorsed warning about the TALIBAN WING of our church. Wrath is an orgy and in Hebrew He sends jesters and buffoons.
2.07.15 The dominant feminists having gained authority at once Christian-Colleges DO what Paul warned about: they assume authentia or self-originating authority and emasculate all of the "professionals" seeking a rich and famous career path. The Spirit of Christ in Ezekial and elsewhere warns that they have collected private parts in their baskets of summer fruits. Not to worry: there is only a teeny, Little Flock callled the SECT called the WAY. Jesus was sent to give the sign to the lost spirits: those who gladly receive the Word (logos, regulative principle) want to be baptized. They call back and Jesus translates their spirits into a heavenly kingdom because the kingdom DOES NOT COME with religious observations. The Massed multitude who are OF the World consist of the Kosmos (Cosmic Worship ACU, NACC) which are the ECUMENICAL.
The historic literature never accepted even those who claimed to be apotles if they came with their hand out. They could tell the people what He know that they didn't already know for a few days and then they sent him on his way with a dole of food.
It is true: the church or ekklesia consisting of all of the Little Flock (Not ACU's universals) by direct command and approved examples gather themselves ONE TIME EACH WEEK on the REST DAY. The one piece pattern from the wilderness onward is to PREACH the Word by READING the Word for Comfort and Doctrine: That was how Paul told Timothy to hold synagogue or a READING ASSEMBLY.
Sorry, but Jesus as Spirit gifted APT elders to be the only Pastor-Teachers and their one piece authority was to "teach that which has been taught" and boot out those who oppose 'that which has been taught.'
Dare to be a SECTARIAN and get lied to, cheated and have your "house" stolen form you. The WAY or ROAD is very narrow and the gate is so strait that almost no one can find it. The SECT called the WAY is very exclusive: historically the assembly was conducted privately and no one sang hymns as a public Money Tree.
11.04.14 Jeanene P. Reese Theology of Women Teachers. She promotes This new paradigm [Pattern] or the New Order of Post-Christiandom.
The Abilene Kingdom probably began with the Jo Bass twisting the elders and bringing on the anticipated defection of the Herald of Truth and its widespread sowing of discord. Women having gained authority OVER the "go along to get along" males is the riise of witchcraft which Paul prevented in MOST of the tiny, Little Flock not OF the World or ECUMENICAL.
Things like Lectio-Divina as part of the MONKISH practiced imposed out of Fuller and confiscating most of the once-Christian colleges is exactly the claim to have a NEW ORDER by claiming that the One Almighty was not smart enough to provide moral guidance for OUR generation. That's fine: the rise of the Babylon Mother in Revelation 17 dominates a priesthood of the Queen of Heaven: they are called "lusted after fruits" (same as in Amos 8) where the women forced the men to steal from the poor that they might engage in their wine, women and music INSIDE of the holy places which was a terminal offense.
EVE speaks of the orgies of Dionysus which the Hebrew Women enacted with the musical worship of the egyptian trinity at Mount Sinai
The Spirit OF Christ defined Messiah's future REST from clergy both inclusively and exclusively. In Ezekiel He warned about the witches or female "preachers" who went to workshops and stole their words one from another. The Divina of Lectio-Divina praising Mary the Mother of gods:

This rare word is related to the Sumerian KI-ShU, meaning some kind of magical imprisonment, but we have to look to Greek for its precise significance. In the form kiste, Latin cista, it appears as a container used in certain mystery rituals of the Dionysiac cult, supposedly for the carrying of secret implements. In fact, wherever the cista is graphically represented it is shown as a basket from which a snake is emerging. Thus on sarcophagi inscribed with Bacchic scenes, the cista is shown being kicked open by Pan and the snake raising itself from the half-opened lid. The snake is an important feature of the Dionysiac cult and imagery. The Maenads of Euripides' Bacchae have serpents entwined in their hair and round their limbs, and the snake was the particular emblem of the Phyrigian Sabazios (Sabadius) with whom Dionysos is identified." - John M. Allegro, The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross
"...Osiris is the same as Dionysos, and who should know better than you, Clea, since you are at once the leader of the Thyades [female initiates who celebrated on sacred sites the nocturnal orgies of Bacchus] at Delphi and have been consecrated in the Isirian rites by your father and mother?" Plutarch, Isis and Osiris"A fourth-century BC hymn in honor of Dionysos contains the invocation: 'Come to us, King Dithyramb, Bacchus, god of the holy chant.'"
Dithurambos, Dithyramb "comes to be used of a Dionysiac song which possessed some infectious quality that led his votaries to take it up as a ritual chant. Later it became the subject for competition at Dionysiac festivals, and with its formalization it lost any spontaneity it may have possessed originally."
"At the beginning of the fifth century BC tragedy formed part of the Great Dionysia, the Spring festival of Dionysos Eluethereus. Three poets completed, each contributing three tragedies and one satyric play. The latter was performed by choruses of fifty singers in a circle, dressed as satyrs, part human, part bestial, and bearing before them huge replicas of the erect penis, as they sang dithyrambs." - John M. Allegro, The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross
"Early worshippers of Dionysos reenacted this gruesome scene by whipping themselves into a frenzy and tearing a live bull to pieces with their hands and teeth. These grisly rites, accompanied by loud music and the crashing of cymbals, were intended to propel the revelers into a state of ecstasy, a word literally meaning 'outside the body' to the Greeks. Through this ecstasy, the cultists hoped to transcend their earthly bonds and allow the soul a temporary liberation from the body. Only in this way could the soul achieve a condition of enthousiasmos, meaning 'inside the god,' which the worshipers believed was a taste of what they might one day enjoy in eternity." The Search for the Soul
To the Jewish clergy, Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of Dionysus and therefore they put Him to the test:
They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept. Luke 7:32
This singing is related to the Triumph Over of Jesus when, in the end He would have them in derision:
Thriambeuo (g2358) three-am-byoo'-o; from a prol. comp. of the base of 2360 and a der. of 680 (mean. a noisy iambus, sung in honor of Bacchus); to make an acclamatory procession, i.e. (fig.) to conquer or (by Hebr.) to give victory: - (cause) to triumph (over).
Paul silenced both men and women: men because having unholy hands (palm) certified that they were not defacto reading from the text. Men as not APT elders would permit an outbreak of wrath, orgia or an ORGY where all musical performers were women.
Women from the tripple-goddesses in Babylon claimed the power to invent a "new paradigm" in order to refute the Father gods.
This would stifle the one-piece pattern: that all might be saved or SAFE and come to a knowledge of the truth.
The punch-line deliberately ignored is that "there is just one God the Father and ome MEDIATOR the man Jesus Christ.
That repudiates the universal error that the women said that "truth originated with them." Authentia authority means self-composed or authored like the scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites.
Jesus said that truth had been hidden from the Scribes, Pharisees, hypocrites from the foundation of the world in parables. No better place to HIDE the truth from theologians who litterally cannot READ the Word (Logos, regulative principle) nor HEAR it when it is PREACHED by being READ on our rest days.

Stephen Johnson ACU Apocalypse Theology has an aggressive feminist movement
Most of the once-Christian colleges have experienced a hostile takeover: the NEW ORDER says that God nor Jesus nor the Apostles were INTELLIGENT enough to express the great resource of Teaching-Only literature to survive the rough 2,000 year journey. Because this despises the Word, Christ in Jeremiah 23 defines that as blasphemy. Too bad that none of the deliberate dividers ever read the Latin literature. Because the present ORDER is rotten to the core the universities must train preachers (no role-no dole) able to TRAVERSE the 2,000 years, go back and get what Jesus WOULD have said if He had a still-bleeding sheepskin. Once they have this information it will take the utmost courage to retrace their steps and shock the Church of Christ with the TRUE TRUTH. Remember that Paul warned about strong delusions causing lying wonders meaning all of the hypocritic arts and crafts enhanced by women being USED to see and hear.
Beginning with the Jo Bass Versus E. R. Harper and the massive sowing of discord there can be no doubt that women RULING OVER at the university level has neutered Patriarchal Religion of the Son of the Father. That is replaced with the Daughter of the Mother beginning in Babylon. Initially the always-pagan trinity was a Triple-Goddess. This devolved into a father, spirit (mother, dove, seed sower) and infant perverted son. At Mount Sinai with the fall into trinitarian-musical "play" the women played the wind, string and percussion instruments.
The Anti-Christian view of the Church of Christ Neo-Trinity invented in the year 1938 as well as instrumental music are the true MARKS of feminist or effeminate theology (an Apollo or Apollon mark) of effeminate folly

Bobby Valentine: It is clear from the content of 1.3-7 that Paul is seriously concerned with Timothys handling of the false teachers and their gangrenous teaching. However the unhealthy teachers are finding a receptive field among some ignorant (of the basic truths of the faith??) women who go from house church to house church spreading misinformation (5.13) [14].

Jesus CENI was to go and teach what HE commanded to be taught in the Prophets and Apostles to build or EDUCATE. There is no command, example or inference to call people into asssembly on the sabbath (REST) to hold a worship service. The command was to rest, read and rehearse the Word only (Speak the Word and meditate in the heart--silently). Literal worship is to come before God in reverence and godly fear because GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE and you don't do a lap dance with God. Spiritual worship is rational worship IN the mind or spirit giving attendance to the WORD.
The.Ekklesia.A.Church.of.Christ Lectio Divina is defines a HAG but Lectio defines the one-piece pattern commanded to PREACH the Word by READING the Word for comfort and doctrine.
Dale Pauls Neitheer Male Nor Female. The Ekklesia rests FROM "worship" except by command, example and inference ONCE a week it synagogues where the pattern of Christ in the wilderness was to rest, read and rehearse the Word. Jesus practiced and all of the examples limits assembly to EDUCATION which flows from God to the reverent.
Dale Paul's 1 Timothy 2 Why reading BLACK text on BROWN paper is the mark of one "washed with water INTO the Word or into the School of Christ."
Naomi Walters: Jesus didn't give that role or dole to any man not ready to GO, suffer and die and not tamper with the Word. When the LIBERATED elect assembles as SYNAGOGUE or School of the Word it is EXCLUSIVE of vocal or instrumental Rejoicing or rhetoric: Christ defined these as hypocrites in Ezekiel 33 of hirelings who speak on their own (sons of the devil), performance singers or instrument players.
The kingdom of God does not come with observation meaning WORSHIP SERVICES defined as lying wonders by delusional anti-Christians. The gospel is the gospel OF the Kingdom and everyone is commanded to be silent and sedentary as a senior elder as the Christ-ordained Pastor-Teaches READS whole thought patterns and it is rehearsed so that everyone goes home: there the prone-to-claim inspiration women or the effeminate can discuss that which is not subject to private interpretation meaning further expounding. It is not to be corrupted by "selling learning at retail" which word also means prostitution or selling any of your body parts. The MARK is that a minister (Deacon) of God will not tamper with the Word which is the LOGOS or regulative principle.
WORSHIP ASSEMBLIES meant to do something FOR a god to gain their favor or fleece the poor was ALWAYS the domain of women who did not need pseudo-scholars to LIBERATE them. Threskia is impure religion in contrast to PURE Threskia
When Church is Tribulated with "worship rituals" it is logical that women should be included in what was always known to be a female or effeminate domination then and now.
God is Father contrary to the feminists and He supplied NOTHING which is lyrical or can be matched to the notes of the lyre the mark of Apollon.
All slides into Rhetoric, singing, playing instruments, acting, dancing, clapping etal are the historical MARKS of effeminate hostile takeover. Performance singers, "pastors" acting as mediators and interpreters for God all of the STAFF beyond "teaching that which has been taught" are called PARASITES in all "religions." That is why the qahal, ekklesia, synagogue or church of Christ (the Rock) is defined as CENI:Hdt. 2.37 Their religious observances are, one may say, innumerable. - SHE alone she thought GOT Cain from "god" but Paul said that CAIN was OF that wicked one in a "genetic sense"
- CAIN is named after a Musical Note or Mark because Christ says that "lucifer-Satan" was the singing and harp-playing prostitute in the garden even though she is a HE.
- His seed JUBAL is the father (genetically) of all of those who HANDLE musical instruments meaning "without authority." We know from Babylonian tablets that GENUN as the composite of Cain's SEED.
- Jesus warned about "parables" from the foundation of the world to HIDE the truth from the Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites meaning "performance speakers, singers and instrument players.
- EVE or EVAH carries the message of a certain CLASS of female who lusts to PERFORM a role Christ the Spirit gave only to elders as pastor-teachers commanded to "teach that which has been taught." That CLASS includes "performing" males where rhetoric, singing, playing instruments and gestulating is the mark of the EFFEMINATE.
LEGALISM is applied only to speakers, singers, instrument players, actors or dancers: they must have talent (God doesn't need), practice for years, rehearse, perform, be judged by the audience and usually for HIRE making one a HIRELING.
Tragedy is associated with the stage, lyric with the convivium, Marcus Reciting the Book
11 Hence, I argue first that the representation of the epic recital is highly dependent upon the representation of other public performances and, second, that epic's social image is attacked and reclaimed via its public performance. In fact, behind the criticisms of the epic recital often lie issues about the performance of gender and social status.
In that regard, epic's position is parallel to that of rhetoric. Beginning with Aristotle's Rhetorica (1404a), critics of rhetorical performance have ascribed to lively delivery the same effect as that of acting. There is a persistent association between theatrics, bad rhetoric and effeminacy.
12 That this pattern of criticism was transferred onto the epic recital is ironic because the setting which brought epic into existence in Greece was public performance. In the hands of the Roman satirists and critics, however, epic's performance became subject to the same kind of scrutiny to which the public performance of rhetoric in first-century Rome was subjected.
Rhetoric was forever at pains to disentangle itself from unwanted associations with female deception and histrionic art, because it was viewed as the art of socially weak women and slaves, and rhetoricians of all ages have assiduously fought against any trace of bodily and vocal practice associated with these groups.
15 12. Enders (1997) 253--78. Such gendering of aesthetic categories prevails not only in antiquity but appears also in Kant's distinction between the passive feminine beautiful and the active masculine sublime and in Rousseau's association of art and the theater with the feminine. I have in mind Kant's "The Beautiful and the Sublime" and "The Fair Sex" and Jean-Jacques Rousseau's "On Theater and Morals," in Kramnick (1995) 339--42, 580--86, 333--36.
Cantare does not lose its more dignified association with the prophesying sacerdos (OLD 7c), as used by Horace in Carmina 3.1.4 (virginibus puerisque canto).
Hor. Od. 3.1sacerdos: cf. Vergil's pii vates and Musae quarum sacra fero (G. 2.475); Milt., 'Smit with the love of Sacred Song'; Ov. Am. 3.8.23, ille ego Musarum purus Phoebique [Abaddon, Apollyon] sacerdos;

Cantus , 2. With instruments, a playing, music: A. Prophetic or oracular song: veridicos Parcae coeperunt edere cantus, Cat. 64, 306; cf. Tib. 1, 8, 4. B. An incantation, charm, magic song, etc.: cantusque artesque magorum.16 Quintilian contrasts cantare to agere, chanting a speech to delivering it (I.O. 11.3.60). The recitals of epic, as we shall see further, are also evaluated in the light of this performative practice. I suggest that in the same way as the orator strives to distinguish himself from the realm of performance (canticum), so the public reader of epic is also confronted with the borderline between recitare and cantare.
Oratory initially modeled itself on the performance of serious poetry, and gradually tried to distinguish itself from the realm of song. As Habinek notes, "Oratory, perhaps because its performance context so closely resembles the occasions that call for public song, is carefully policed throughout its history to prevent its reverting to the musical incantation from which it--and the terminology for its study--evolved." However, from the examples that I have just used, it is evident, I believe, which art of music I consider appropriate in the training of the orator and to what extent.
Nevertheless, I think that I need to be more explicit in stating that the music which I prescribe is not the modern music which has been emasculated by the lascivious melodies of the effeminate stage and has to no small extent destroyed the amount of manly vigor that we still possessed. I refer rather to the music of old with which people used to sing the praises of brave men and which the brave themselves used to sing.

Cf. also Plin. N. H. XXX. I. 2 (6). Aristophanes' designation of them under the name pharmakis, while it implies that their art consisted in the manipulation of drugs, does not limit us to that view, because Herodotus, vii. 114, uses the verb pharmakeuein in speaking of the sacrifice of white horses by the Magi to the river Strymon.

Jeff Walling and Rick Atchley have been used by the NACC and Christian Standard to show how to do it--Jeff Walling reserving some of his frog-boiling plot.
In Isaiah 58 The Spirit OF Christ outlawed seeking your own pleasure or speaking your own words
The reason that men and women must be silent is that the are commanded not to speak their own words (Isaiah 58). The reason will be obvious to anyone who cares to read the rest. The only way to MARK FOR AVOIDANCE was defined by Christ in the willderness to PREACH the Word by READING the Word each REST day. Jesus exampled, Paul commanded it and people observed it before Constantine paid the clergy who imposed singing as an ACT (that legal word) in the year 373 following Constantine.

I am certain that God loves them even though He said that He hates "music in the holy places" and people who "sow discord among brethren."
"The Bible is not so much a 'heaven-sent answer book' as a historical book produced within and for a historical community-- yet it serves as Scripture today because people find themselves accountable to it. That is what make its Scripture"
Jesus commanded that we teach and observe what HE COMMANDED TO BE TAUGHT: He is head of the Church and ONLY Rabbi UNTIL THE END OF THE WORLD. That means "No statute of limitations" and no changing CULTURE calling for new mediators.
Because God made Jesus of Nazareth to ARTICULATE his WORDS or LOGOS or Regulative Principle, if you deny that God has or is the Regulative Principle then you ARE an ANTI-Christ. If you deny the ONE GOD the Father and ONE SON as LORD, John also says that you are and ANTI-Christ because you CLAIM that the ONE GOD THE FATHER cannot communicate with His son whom He made both LORD AND CHRIST without another God Person (people) to be the translator.
If you say that "a" spirit told you that the Levites instrument is YOUR COMMAND to knowingly sow discord to TRANSISTION the Church house of Widows to the only sectarians: the INSTRUMENTALISTS.
7.01.13 Gender Inclusive and Egalitarian Churches of Christ: Gender-focused churches are not related to the Apostolic teaching nor to the historic Church of Christ. To say that Scripture from Genesis to Revelation and the danger of Mother Goddess worship has always and has now NEUTERED many churches of Christ so that their performance preaching and music calls forth a lot of ridicule. They have to say that all of the Scriptures lie and simply did not understand OUR CULTURE. At the same time they twist the Scriptures to say that what Paul outlawed did not prevent what THEY want to impose. This normally happens after a senior preacher has usurped all authority, intimidated the elders, fired the vocational ministers and HIRED female ministers. Christ in Isaiah 3 defined this time perfectly where the women and BOYS or the effeminate (or worse) rule over you. Men have already violated the direct command to PREACH the Word by READING the Word for Comfort and Doctrine.
SHORT STORY FOR THOSE WHO DON'T READ BLACK TEXT ON BROWN PAPER
The PATTERN for the Church of Christ (the Rock) in the Wilderness was:
EXCLUSIVE of vocal or instrumental rejoicing or any human opinions
INCLUSIVE of REST from the usual worship service, READING and REHEARSING the Word (only) of God.
In Exodus 18 God had Moses remove the MONEY in defining groups as small as ten families quarantined FROM the pagan rituals such as the worship of the starry host. The Command was to PREACH the Word by READING the Word on the REST DAY: God never defines a Day of Worship in which people do their PART: LEGALISM is only the talent, learning, practice, performance and being judge as speakers, singers and instrument players. They are SOPHISTS and Jesus said the Father HIDES from them. Maybe that is why the work so DESPERATELY HARD.
In Exodus 31 in The Book of the Covenant keeping the Sabbath outlawed any vocal or instrumental noise.
In Exodus 32 the people fell back into the musical idolatry of the always-pagan trinity represented by the golden calf.
The Jacob Cursed Levites executed 3000 of the "brethren" and God ordained that they guard the worship of the starry host to execute Mike Cope if he broughta guitar NEAR the slaughter pit or into the temple.
Christ caused them to be BLIND and DEAF until "another prophet like me comes."The God-Abandoned Levites is the PATTERN for the musical sowers of discord: God hates them. The synagogue or ekklesia was defined as a School of the Word and REST. Sabbath does not permit sending out ministers of God: Sabbath was not for worship. Its a LIE and the FOUNDATION PATTERN of the musical sowers of discord. God commanded that the Levites STAND IN RANKS under the commanders of the army to EXECUTE anyone even a Levite not on duty who came close to the horrors of the slaughter of the innocents. It was only during the HOLOCAUST where the goats (cappellas) were burned that the Levites made a great crashing noise COMMANDED BY DAVID THE KING. Christ in Isaiah 1 and Jeremiah 7 said that God DID NOT COMMAND any of the worship of the starry host.
That is why INSTRUMENTS and BURNING are almost always connected: either the MARK or the RESULT. Anathema is a person or thing that is dedicated to ADORN any religious shrine. They cannot be REDEEMED and must be BURNED.
The once-Christian colleges BANDED with the NACC to manufacture COSMIC WORSHIP: right on Kairos Time!
RELIGIONISTS OUTSIDE OF GOD'S GRACE. Pepperdine and ACU support the NACC is actually performing COSMIC WORSHIP: just in KAIROS time one hopes.
Mike Cope will say "saved by grace through faith" but never ask: SAVED OR SAFE FROM WHAT?

The LOCUSTS or MUSES under Apollyon were dirty prostitutes and SHEPHERDESSES. They ruled over the men in a sexual and erotic sense which is DEFACTO SOUGHT when women expose their body and talent (?) knowing that the attention or WORSHIP will be directed to them even to note that they are often fat and not very talented. The Locusts were called MUSICAL PROPHESIERS intending to lull you to sleep so they could give you the sting of death. Paul wants both men and women to be SILENT so that "we might all be saved or safe and come to a knowledge of thetruth."
SELLING BODY PARTS OR TALENTS CLAIMING AUTHORITY FROM GOD IS CALLED PROSTITUTION.

To this Socrates replied: Antiphon, it is common opinion among us
in regard to beauty and wisdom
that there is an honourable
and a shameful way of bestowing them.
For to offer one's beauty for money to all comers is called prostitution;
But we think it virtuous to become friendly with
a lover who is known to be a man of honour.
So is it with wisdom. Those who offer it to all comers for money
are known as sophists, prostitutors of wisdom,But we think that he who makes a friend of one whom he knows to be gifted
by nature, and teaches him all the good he can,
fulfils the duty of a citizen and a gentleman.

SELF-SPEAKERS AND SINGERS ARE CALLED SPIRITUAL PROSTITUTES
God was/is the LOGOS or what He Speaks including by Jesus Christ. The LOGOS is the Regulative or Governing principle: it is Word-centered and masculine as opposed to Sophia given to performance speaking, singing and making music to DISPLAY and market their body parts or talents: God cannot use you.
WARNING men with no Role and no Dole who cannot bring themselves to confront the MASCULINE, Rational, Spiritual Word and teach it as it has been taught now see Godliness as a means of financial gain: OCCUPATION only. However, it is a fact that getting paid for performing with any of your body parts when Jesus paid it all and taught it all is called PROSTITUTION.
OF THE MERCHANTS:
Plat. Prot. 313d For among the provisions, you know, in which these men deal, not only are they themselves ignorant what is good or bad for the body, since in selling they commend them all, but the people who buy from them are so too, unless one happens to be a trainer or a doctor. And in the same way, those who take their doctrines the round of our cities, hawking them about to any odd purchaser who desires them, commend everything that they sell, and there may well be some of these too, my good sir, who are ignorant which of their wares isIT IS LOGICAL THAT THE MERCHANTS OF THEIR OWN SONGS AND SERMONS NEED WOMEN AROUND TO AFFIRM THEM
[313e] good or bad for the soul; and in just the same case are the people who buy from them, unless one happens to have a doctor's knowledge here also, but of the soul. So then, if you are well informed as to what is good or bad among these wares, it will be safe for you to buy doctrines from Protagoras or from anyone else you please: but if not, take care, my dear fellow, that you do not risk your greatest treasure on a toss of the dice.

So wilt thou soon see them become women instead of men,

The massive "scholarly" work has been done to UPDATE Paul's evil teaching totally missed the CORE of keeping men from engaging in wrath (orgy) and women from TEACHING when the command is to PREACH the Word by READING the Word for education and comfort. The CORE they do not intend to let happen is:
1Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
2Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers,
disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2Timothy 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
2Timothy 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Timothy 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses,
and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth
1Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
The elders as pastor-teachers are commanded to teach that which has been taught: from the church in the wilderness onward the command was to PREACH the Word (only) By READING the word for comfort and doctrine. The synagogue did not give anyone the authority to "teach" anything by their own authority. The Spirit OF Christ outlawed seeking your own pleasure or speaking your own words.

"Michael Clycas, the Byzantine historiographer, uses this verb to describe the woman, 'who make sexual advances to men and fornicate as much as they please without arousing their husband's jealous.'" (Charles Trombly, Who Said Women Can't Teach, p. 176)
Ephesus was famous for its shrine of Diana, where thousands of sacred prostitutes believed fornication
Dionysus is the wine-god, and thus should be a pleasant fellow, a benefactor. But wine has both positive and negative aspects. It makes people drunk, causes them to behave in strange ways. The Greeks were well aware of the dual natures of wine, mirrored by the dual nature of its god.... He betrays a dual nature: being bright, joyous, and vital for life, brought believers into contact with deity
in much the say way the Gnostics used authentia to bind the flesh and the divine together.

"The adored wife of the fallen Hector, is taken as a concubine by the authentes, who can command her domestic and sexual services. The word also occurs in a homosexual sense in a speech by Theseus, king of Athens, where love of young boys was considered a virtue rather than a vice." ( Charles Trombly, Who Said Women Can't Teach, p. 174)
"dionysus's worship is thus established by the simple means of killing the opposition. It has been suggested that every tragic hero who suffers and dies on stage at the Dionysia, the great dramatic festival at Athens (of the South?), is in fact dionysus himself, being killed."

In Amos and Revelation 17-18 the rhetoricians, singers and instrument players was the MARK that Christ had been there, picked up the Menorah of seven lamps or spirits and GONE. In Amos God "and will not pass by again."
The pattern for the Qahal, synagogue, Ekklesia or Church of Christ (the Rock) which never changed was to PREACH the Word by READING the Word. Paul told Timothy to publically read the Word for comfort and doctrine. A Church of Christ has no other ROLES needing to be filled. Honest evangelist will obey the direct command to GO preach and disciple by baptism and further teaching of what Jesus commanded to be taught and observed. Therefore, the issue of superiority-inferiority is never an issue in a faithful assembly.
Rick Atchley one of the Pepperdine speakers on the whole Book of Revelation seems for some strange reason seems to be on the 2013 NACC Victorious program with one preacher covering Revelation 11-19. They, too, will be trying to seduce THEIR preachers away from the Word.

The Satanic THESIS is that "prophesying" is the world's oldest profession. Through music and other madness they pretended that they were speaking for a god. For that they no longer had to work but became the priest-prophet of a tribe. The Godly ANTITHESIS is that only the Spirit OF Christ speaks through through the writing prophets. Peter said that Jesus whom God made to be both Lord and Christ made these prophecies more certain. After he and others left a memory of their eye- and ear- witness, anyone who continue to claim prophetic power would be marked as a false teacher. There is a large band of purpose driven "scholars" promoting a role in churches as a PROPHET to RATTLE your rest Jesus died to give you.Mike Cope A Cappella Music
Paul to Timothy outlawed men who cause WRATH or an outbreak of ORGY. He outlawed the uncovered women because only they and effeminate male could fall into that ORGY defined as "a new style of worship" by the once Christian Colleges now staffed with anti-church of Christ professors who are not scholars.

The question for all of us is not what the Bible says, but how and why... Why don't we at least entertain the possibility that the Bible simply reflects an ANCIENT TABOO or homophobic prejudice in a few people like Paul -- a taboo and prejudice we need to outgrow?RS.Women.1.11.04.html

Second, history affirms that a male singing and playing religiously is drunk, perverted or just having fun.
Third, the warning of Paul warns about Eve whose story, says Jesus, is hidden in parables from those assuming roles and dole (Isa 48; Matthew 13)
The rise of performance so-called worship will always flow from females or wannabes: Lucifer, says Christ in the prophets, was a "singing and harp playing prostitute in the garden of Eden." HE wanted to be remembered as a male but all religious acting out was restricted to males performing the role of a female.
Therefore, beware of anyone trying to make it a like the Taliban making the women wear burkas. Even those who boast of USING females protect their own role from matriarchal invasion. Their roles are silenced by the very nature of the ekklesia--synagogue and common decency.
There is no reason to expect that any theologian who "sees godliness as a means of financial gain" or just occupation is going to know the meaning of ekklesia or synagogue: the School (only) of Christ (only) through the prophets and apostles.
The MURDER of the Two Witnesses is about over and a few faithful remnant with return to the Prophets and Apostles upon which to build or Educate the Disciples who by definition do not go to worship rituals.
Luke 11:49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles,
and some of them they shall slay and persecute:
Ephesians 2:20 And are built upon [Educated]
the foundation of the apostles and prophets,
Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
Ephesians 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known
unto the sons of men,
as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; [named Jesus the Righteous]
When the sorcerers as self-speakers, singers and instrument players are deposed and the LAMPS are removed then the tiny, faithful rement can:
Revelation 18:20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets;
for God hath avenged you on her.
You can reach the highest level of "scholarship" and be put to the task of killing the Prophets and Apostles without having grasped that Christ speaks ONLY through the Prophets and Apostles. Paul understood why both male and female are silenced when Jesus comes to teach when the elders as the only pastor-teachers teach that which has been taught.

It would be pure legalism to think that "doctors of the law take away the key to knowledge" can be enhanced by the field of "theology."
"Philodemus considered it paradoxical that music should be regarded as veneration of the gods while musicians were paid for performing this so-called veneration. Again, Philodemus held as self deceptive the view that music mediated religious ecstasy.
He found it significant that, on the whole, only women and effeminate men fell into this folly. Accordingly, nothing of value could be attributed to music; it was no more than a slave of the sensation of pleasure, which satisfied much in the same way that food and drink did.
He saw the entire condition induced by the noise of cymbals and tambourines as a disturbance of the spirit. That was the warning of the Spirit OF Christ in Isaiah 3.
As a GUARD Paul excludes women from performing roles and therefore eliminates what they call "religious OBSERVATIONS." In a normal society there would be no reason to make the same law apply to males.
The Agora where Jesus consigned the pipers, singers and dancers:
Pandemonium and Silence by Cathie and Dick Clark Kroeger
Greeks considered madness an important aspect of worship. Women in particular responded to Bacchus (also known as Dionysus), the god of madness; 'him of the orgiastic cry, exciter of women, Dionysus, glorified with mad honors'. (Plutarch, Moralia 671c Ancient Corinth was a center of Dionysiac worship, and Pausinius, world traveler of the second century of our era gives this description:In the market-place, for most of the temples are there, is the Ephesian Artemis, and there are two wooden statues of Dionysus, gilt except the faces, which are painted with red paint, one they call Lysian Dionysus and the other Dionysus the Reveler [Jachin and Boaz if you will]. The tradition about these statues I will record. Pentheus, they say, when he outraged dionysus, among other acts of reckless daring actually at last went to mount Cithaeron to spy on the women, and climbed up into a tree to see what they were doing; and when they detected him, they forthwith dragged him down, and tore him limb from limb. And afterwards, so they say at Corinth, the Pythian priestess told them to discover that tree and pay it divine honors. And that is why these statues are made of that very wood. (Description of Greece, II.ii; tr. A.R. Shilleto)"There was in Corinth, then, a significant monument memorializing the savagery of female Bacchus worshippers. Nor was such a feminine ferocity confined to Pentheus alone. Women under the inspiration of Bacchus were said to have torn Orpheus limb from limb; and Alexander the Great was supposed to have incorporated a group of these maenads (mad women) into his army in his attempt to conquer India. There was also a tradition that women during the course of the worship tore apart young animals and ate them raw, warm and bleeding, thereby receiving within themselves the life of the god. In a 1976 address to the Mystery Religions Division of the Society of Biblical Literature, Ross Kraemer argued that there is evidence that women participated in a second level of initiation in Bacchic worship that was not available to men. Among Dionysiac worshippers, writes Livy in his History of Rome, 'the majority are women' (XXXIX.xv)
While women were famed for their wildness in the Bacchic cult and in certain other mystery cults, other aspects of their worship were more traditional. Of special importance to the study of the situation Paul addresses is the concept of clamor, noisy outbursts of religious pandemonium.
Gregory Nanzianzen in Oration XXXI
III. Is there any such among the shadowy purifications of the Law, aiding as it did with temporary sprinklings, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean; or do the gentiles celebrate any such thing in their mysteries, every ceremony and mystery of which to me is nonsense, and a dark invention of demons, and a figment of an unhappy mind, aided by time, and hidden by fable?
For what they worship as true, they veil as mythical. But if these things are true, they ought not to be called myths, but to be proved not to be shameful; and if they are false, they ought not to be objects of wonder; nor ought people so inconsiderately to hold the most contrary opinions about the same thing,as if they were playing in the market-place with boys or really ill-disposed men, not engaged in discussion with men of sense, and worshippers of the Word, though despisers of this artificial plausibility.IV. We are not concerned in these mysteries with birth of Zeus and thefts of the Cretan Tyrant (though the Greeks may be displeased at such a title for him), nor with the name of Curetes, and the armed dances, which were to hide the wailings of a weeping god, that he might escape from his father's hate.
Jesus would not weep which was often the result of being sodomized as the initiation. The Jerusalem temple had been taken over by the Greeks and had become a haunt of Zeus and Dionysus "worship." The details of the associated gymnasium is defined in Second Maccabees. By the wailing (clanging) song and dance Jesus, in all of the background material, could have escaped the wrath of God on the cross.
For indeed it would be a strange thing that he who was swallowed as a stone should be made to weep as a child. Nor are we concerned with Phrygian mutilations and flutes and Corybantes, and all the ravings of men concerning Rhea (Inanna, Eve etc.), consecrating people to the mother of the gods, and being initiated into such ceremonies as befit the mother of such gods as these.
The Pepperdine team has as its stated object to work with young preachers in legalistic churches and promote the introduction of instruments in what they call "worship" and knowingly introducing discord. Dave Clayton is one such subverted church planter: the ETHOS Church of Christ in a bar in Nashville. None of them know that ETHOS is the STIGMA which God has imposed warning about musical idolatry. There is nothing more ANTI-Biblical and LEGALISTIC than making music under the assumption that ETHOS improves you spiritually and helps you make contact with the gods. It turns out that the "feeling" imposed by music is known by history, medical science and the Vineyard lady is a "sexual like climatic experience with the spirit."
As we prepare the future of Bible Lectures and Church Relations at Pepperdine, Mike Cope and I are committed to doing all we can to build a network around and supportive programs for these young preachers. Though they have freed themselves from sectarian constrains, many have chosen to stay with their churches. At least for now. In the coming years, churches of Christ will need to respond, demonstrably, to the Restoration cry coming from this young generation and in so doing may restore their full role of influence in the unfolding Christian story. The Biggest Lie is the Drive led by the NACC to convince everyone that Churches of Christ SECTED out of the Christian Churches in 1906. The Lipscomb Mantra is that the Campbells blundered by opposing the Disciples of Christ in several realms:
The Name of the ChurchDenominational organizations and CreedsThe role of Baptism as FOR the Remission of SinsFellowship (attend, defend, support) most denominations.
The approval of instrumental musicThe role of women in "worship"The Apocalyptic view of the Millennium and a few more.Alexander Campbell denied that there COULD be unity with the Stoneites before the small meeting in 1832 Barton W. Stone denied that their COULD be unity with the Reformers as long as they taught the necessity of baptism. After the agreement on principles in 1832 there was no UNION of the groups. Campbell mocked Stone for boasting that the Reformers had come over to the Christians and proved that a few handshakes did or would ever UNIT because the Reformers denied the demand for a Creed. Alexander Campbell insisted of properly baptized believers that THEY COME OUT OF BABYLON.
Therefore, the big lie is that the "young preachers" are clamoring for a RESTORATION of the Disciples of Christ--Christian Churches. The fact is that false teachers who know nothing about the Bible set themselves the task to RESTRUCTURE all churches of Christ under the documents and hand holding of agents from the NACC.
This is what Rick Gibson and Mike Cope intend to hatch out:
Littleton Church and in fine print A Church of Christ. Boys and fat girls singing, lifting, instrumental music: hard Rock and roll, Drama that girly stuff. They have LEGACY WORSHIP which is the big lie that Churches of Christ are based on traditions
They are also working over Dave Clayton and a good work has been turned INSTRUMENTAL. The Ethos concept defines the musically sexually aroused feeling as "being lead into the presence of god."
This is spitting in the face of Jesus and Paul who said that we should pray for a Quiet and peacful life: He concludes that the women must not RULE OVER as long as they use a tune.
THE CHRISTIAN STORY HAS UNFOLDED: JUST WAITING FOR THE TRUMPET SOUNDS AS SIGNS OF JUDGMENT.
WE HAVE ALREADY HEARD THE SOUNDS-LIKE HARPS WHICH IS A SIGN OF JUDGMENT AND THE DEMAND TO PREACH THE GOSPEL. No one PLAYS harps "up in the air" over Spiritual Zion.
JESUS SAID THAT DOCTORS OF THE LAW TAKE AWAY THE KEY TO KNOWLEDGE. SO, IF IT IS OK THE MASSES OF CHURCH OF CHRIST WILL NOT JOIN IN THE URGE FOR WINE, WOMEN AND INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC.
Pepperdine 2013 Annual Bible Lectures Mike Cope features Rick Atchley
Pepperdine University has chosen Mike Cope to represent it's views by putting him in charge of lecturships: one of the first efforts is to promote Rick Atchley whose first massive discord was by firing the DEACONS and creating Female Ministers: when challenged Rick Atchley appealed to the Deaconess with no such word in the Greek Language. The introduction of Musical Worship Ministers and Mistresses sowed the next massive discord. The next discord was promoting Sabbath Worship with Instrumental 'Worshipers." Sabbath means REST and the Qahal, synagogue or Church of Christ (the Rock) in the wilderness quarantined the godly, non-abandoned tribes to be a School (only) of the Word (only). That outlawed rhetoricians, singers or musicians making "vocal or instrumental rejoicing."
See the Synagotue Pepperdine etal missed.
That never changed until Jesus now The Holy Spirit became Head, King and High Priest over His Spiritual kingdom: He rejects mediators in song or self-referenced sermons.
Mike cope A Cappella Music says:
Yes, I know you served the poor, you lived an exemplary life of compassion, justice, and worship but you used a piano in worship . . . .) Most are talking about the strengths of the tradition a tradition that is preserved by several tribes.
Because it was IMPOSSIBLE to sing tunefully any of the never-metrical but commanded text, all of those people before John Calvin permitted a few psalms (only) to be REwritten and set to a simple melody to be sung in unison (only) then I would worry about accusing Jesus and most people with being afflicted with TRIBALISM. History knows that singing (yelling) is the world's oldest profession, was performed by an emotionally or sexually abnormal "prophesier," and was used to unite everyone to the TRIBAL Alpha Male.
A Church of Christ is a SCHOOL of Christ: the people call themselves together and they dismiss themselves. There are NO functionaries in A Church of Christ.

Paul understood the universal history beginning with Eve (Astarte, Ishtar etc in the Babylonian sources) had the urge to literally emasculate males to force them to be the priests of Cybele, Isis, Mary etal. Feminists still assert that the role of males has ceased and women are best suited to be the MEDIATRIX between man and the Mother Goddess.

They rashly assume in this manner, that whatsoever things have been said and done by all men, (may be made to harmonize) with their own particular mental view, alleging that ALL things become spiritual. Whence likewise they assert, that those exhibiting themselves in theatres, not even these say or do anything without premeditation.
Therefore, he says, when, on the people assembling in the theatres, any one enters clad in a remarkable robe, carrying a harp and playing a tune (upon it, accompanying it) with a song of the great mysteries, he speaks as follows, not knowing what he says:
"Whether (thou art) the race of Saturn (Satans) or happy Jupiter, or mighty Rhea (ZOE, Eve), Hail, Attis, gloomy mutilation of Rhea. Assyrians style thee thrice-longed-for Adonis, and the whole of Egypt (calls thee) Osiris, celestial horn of the moon; [The bull, Apis, at Sinai] Greeks denominate (thee) Wisdom; Samothracians, venerable Adam; Haemonians, Corybas; and them Phrygians (name thee) at one time Papa, at another time Corpse, or God, or Fruitless, or Aipolos, or green Ear of Corn that has been reaped, or whom the very fertile Amygdalus produced-a man, a musician."This, he says, is multiform Attis, whom while they celebrate in a hymn, they utter these words:
"I will hymn Attis, son of Rhea, not with the buzzing sounds of trumpets, or of Idaean pipers, which accord with (the voices of) the Curetes; but I will mingle (my song) with Apollo's music of harps, evoe, evan, ' inasmuch as thou art Pan, as thou art Bacchus, as thou art shepherd of brilliant stars."On account of these and such like reasons, these constantly attend the mysteries called those of the "Great Mother,"supposing especially that they behold by means of the ceremonies performed there the entire mystery. [Moved into the presence of the gods with music]
For these have nothing more than the ceremonies that are performed there, except that they are not emasculated:they merely complete the work of the emasculated.
For with the utmost severity and vigilance they enjoin (on their votaries) to abstain, as if they were emasculated, from intercourse with a woman. The rest, however, of the proceeding (observed in these mysteries), as we have declared at some length, (they follow) just as (if they were) emasculated persons.
And they do not worship any other object but Naas, (from thence) being styled Naasseni.
But Naas is the serpent from whom, i.e., from the word Naas, (the Naassene) says, are all that under heaven are denominated temples (Naos). And (he states) that to him alone-that is, Naas-is dedicated every shrine and every initiatory rite, and every mystery; and, in general, that a religious ceremony could not be discovered under heaven, in which a temple (Naos) has no existence; and in the temple itself is Naas, from whom it has received its denomination of temple (Naos)
Eve is mentioned only twice in the New Testament and because Jesus spoke in parables to HIDE the truth from the WISE (sophists=rhetoricians, singers, musicians, actors). Moses was writing an INVERTED version of Babylon Myths AFTER the nation fell from grace BECAUSE of instrumental idolatry at Mount Sinai. Therefore, those who mock Paul do not understand that Paul knew all about Eve and scholars know nothing. While not necessarily true, Paul understood that women especially looked to EVE (Zoe, Mary) as THEIR Mediatrix.
The serpents, however, of the magicians-(that is,) the gods of destruction-withstood the power of Moses in Egypt, but the rod of Moses reduced them all to subjection and slew them. This universal serpent is, he says, the wise discourse of Eve. This, he says, is the mystery of Edem, this the river of Edem;this the mark that was set upon Cain,
that any one who findeth him might not kill him. This, he says, is Cain, [Gen. iv. 15] whose sacrifice [Gen. iv. 5. ] the god of this world did not accept.
Theophilus to AutolycusThis Eve, on account of her having been in the beginning deceived by the serpent, and become the author of sin, the wicked demon, who also is called Satan, who then spoke to her through the serpent, and who works even to this day in those men that are possessed by him, invokes as Eve.58 And he is called "demon" and "dragon," on account of his revolting from God. For at first he was an angel. And concerning his history there is a great deal to be said; wherefore I at present omit the relation of it, for I have also given an account of him in another place.
58 Referring to the bacchanalian orgies in which " Eva " was shouted, and which the Fathers professed to believe was an unintentional invocation of Eve, the authoress of all sin.
The word "abomination" is also key to understanding the context. In Hebrew, the word "to 'evah," (abomination) is almost invariably linked to idolatry. In the passages from which both verses are taken, God tells Moses to tell the people not to follow the idolatrous practices of the people around them, people who sacrificed their children to Molech, or who masturbated into the fire to offer their semen to Molech, for example. Chapter 20 starts off with the same warning.
"To 'evah" also means "something which is ritually unclean," not something evil in itself, like rape or theft. Eating pork or having sex during menstruation are ritually unclean.
But also, concerning music, some have fabled that Apollo [Abaddon, Apollyon] was the inventor, and others say that Orpheus discovered the art of music from the sweet voices of the birds. Their story is shown to be empty and vain, for these inventors lived many years after the flood. And what relates to Noah, who is called by some Deucalion, has been explained by us in the book before mentioned, and which, if you wish it, you are at liberty to read.
Men with no Godly Role or Dole might not be able to read BLACK text on BROWN Paper (2 Corinthians 3)
Mike Cope Women Called to Ministry in Churches of Christ2010 September 23Ive written and [Finally FEMINIST] often about the need for Churches of Christ to recognize, affirm, and use the gifts of women (along with men) in preaching, teaching, praying, etc. Perhaps some of you are tired of hearing about it from me.
Responding to Keith Brenton who uses "cogitation" or "doubtful disputations" rather than reading of the text:
Your logic , at least to me, appears to be as follows: God makes no distinctions between male and female (from Galations). Paul commanded that females have no authority of males. To harmonize this apparent inconsistency, we must conclude that Paul was merely a product of his current environment. And this in no way should be construed as a commandment binding to this day....But if they are this compelled to preach, then they should find a community that accepts this belief. And as you know, the majority of churches of Christ strongly disagree with this.
And sing "nothing to the cross I bring?" No, there ae no gifts for preaching: Christ commanded that the word be PREACHED by being READ. He picked senior males not given to theatrics. Christ commanded the pattern in the wilderness: Jesus exampled the pattern by standing up to read the systematically read text and then set down. Jesus and all historic evidence called rhetoric a hypocritic profession. The word "sermo" means "in a conversationall style."
There is no liturgical act called PRAYER for which you need a professional woman. Jesus said enter into your closet and pray.

WORSHIP ANDROGYNY THE PAGAN SEXUAL IDEAL PETER JONES
No one can lead another in worship. Jesus said that worship was IN SPIRIT. That is a place compared to Gerizim and Jerusalem. Worship is IN TRUTH: Thy Word is truth. ''Worship" is seen almost exclusively in the context of Composing your own material, singing, clapping, playing instruments and other of the "hypocritic arts and crafts." This includes theater building and stage management. This is defined as the craftsmen who along with the rhetoricians, singers and instrument players are called sorcerers (Revelation 18) who are agents of the Babylon Mother of Harlots (Revelation 17). The BEAST in Revelation is defined as "A new style of song or drama." Women were almost always the pagan worship leaders with the goal of increasing the CONTRIBUTIONS to a pagan temple. It would be almost impossible for a normal male to fall into the form of speaking Paul forbids.
Johannes Quasten. In Music and Worship in Pagan and Christian Antiquity, beginning on page 41:
1Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,"Philodemus considered it paradoxical that music should be regarded as veneration of the gods while musicians were paid for performing this so-called veneration. Again, Philodemus held as self deceptive the view that music mediated religious ecstasy.

and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. This is not speaking as in the command to SPEAK one to another to teach and comfort. Sounding brass and tinkling cymbals here are identifying marks of people who have NO LOVE. Even if they COULD speak all of the languages in the world there would be no love. The command is to SPEAK or LOGOS the Word of Christ which is the opposite of rhetoric, singing or playing instruments. Speaking in the tongues of angels was IN FACT making music in tongues.

Aggelos , ho, hē,"It is a great mistake to imagine that back of their idolatry and their idol sacrifices there is nothing but an empty vacuity. True enough, as 1 Cor 8:4 makes plain, the gods of the idols have no existence whatever; no being by the name of Jupiter exists, and this is true with respect to all other gods. But something does exist, something that is far more terrible than these pseudo-gods, namely an entire kingdom of darkness which is hostile to God, a host of demons or fallen angels who are ruled by the greatest of their number, namely Satan, Eph. 2:3; 6:12. Eur. Supp. 203 TheseusThe sole worship concept is to "give attendance to the reading of the Word of God, to exhortation and to doctrine included in that systematically read text. There is no command, example or remote inference that any of God's people ever assembled as a congregation to sing with or without instruments. On the contrary, there are several examples of ungodly people singing, playing, dancing or making body movements: these were the CAUSE of God turning the people over to worship the starry host. Stephen alerted us to that in Acts 7 speaking of the fall from grace at Mount Sinai. Exodus 32.
[195] Full often have I argued out this subject with others. For there are those who say, there is more bad than good in human nature; but I hold a contrary view, that good over bad predominates in man, [200] for if it were not so, we should not exist. He has my praise, whichever god brought us to live by rule from chaos and from brutishness, first by implanting reason, and next by giving us a tongue to declare our thoughts, so as to know the meaning of what is said..
And where sight fails us and our knowledge is not sure, the seer foretells by gazing on the flame, by reading signs in folds of entrails, or by divination from the flight of birds. Are we not then too proud, when heaven has made such [215] preparation for our life, not to be content with it? But our presumption seeks to lord it over heaven, and in the pride of our hearts we think we are wiser than the gods.
The direct command for the Qahal, synagogue or Church of Christ (the Rock) after this fall from grace for which there was no redemption outlawed "vocal or instrumental rejoicing" including smooth speaking rhetoricians. That is because a Church is a School (only) of the Word of God (only). The Church is now built upon the Prophets guided by the Spirit of Christ, thep prophecies made more certain by Jesus of Nazareth, eye- and ear-witnessed by the Apostles and the record they left for our memory.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Phil 4:7 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Col.3:15 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Eph 5:17 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,

Paul said that the liberated Jews worshipped in the SPIRIT in contrast to in the FLESH. This was to forbid the dogs or concision: catamites.
For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Phil 3:3
Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. Phil 3:2
The pagan THESIS included women worshipping goddesses and seducing men by wine, drugs, motion or music. The object was to strip them of their food money. The Spirit of Christ in Isaiah 50 prophesied against those who would Smite Him and Pluck in a musical sense to silence Him and therefore MOCK Him.
in Isaiah 55 warned us NOT to spend our food money on the Word which He supplied free of charge. He equated His WORDS to SPIRIT.
In Isaiah 58 He commanded us not to seek our own pleasure or even speak our own words. He warned against PARASITES trying to get into the act: all sacrificial musicians were called PARASITES.
History notes that only women and effeminate men can be seduced by religious money: a male who plays and sings is noted to be "drunk, gender-confused or just having fun."

HEAVY LADEN BY SCRIBES AND PHARISEES IN GREEK. You have to go OUTSIDE the Camp or religious observation: the kingdom does not come to such observations.
Jesus identified the Scribes and Pharisees as hypocrites: He refers to Isaiah 6 and Ezekiel 33. There the Spirit of Christ marked speakers, singers and instrument players.
ALL religious observations claiming to be in contact with God creates "spiritual anxiety through religious rituals." The leaders know that: if they didn't make you aroused you would not pay them.

The levites were not musicians: they were soothsayers or sorcerers. Their job was as exorcists to MAKE THE LAMBS DUMB BEFORE THE SLAUGHTER. All clergy of which the Levites were Jacob-cursed prophetic types were called PARASITES who burdened the people for their worship of the STARRY HOST. This burden was imposed because of musical idolatry at Mount Sinai for which there was no redemption.

"Dionysus is the wine-god, and thus should be a pleasant fellow, a benefactor. But wine has both positive and negative aspects. It makes people drunk, causes them to behave in strange ways. The Greeks were well aware of the dual natures of wine, mirrored by the dual nature of its god.... He betrays a dual nature: being bright, joyous, and vital for life,
while also having a side that is dark, mysterious and deadly.
"The adored wife of the fallen Hector, is taken as a concubine by the authentes, who can command her domestic and sexual services. The word also occurs in a homosexual sense in a speech by Theseus, king of Athens, where love of young boys was considered a virtue rather than a vice." (Charles Trombly, Who Said Women Can't Teach, p. 174)
"dionysus's worship is thus established by the simple means of killing the opposition. It has been suggested that every tragic hero who suffers and dies on stage at the Dionysia, the great dramatic festival at Athens (of the South?), is in fact dionysus himself, being killed."
All "non-sedentary" or silent participation by women exercises the authority condemned by Paul. This sexual authority with the Catholic A Cappella or castrated "musical worship" solved the problem of a male priesthood but with a homosexual, feminine style of worship called "MUSIC."But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority (authenteo) over the man, but to be in silence.1Ti.2:12
Godly women should not want to literally FORCE men to see her as exercising authority over his good or bad nature.
Second: FOLLOWING THE Jesus Pattern: the ONLY purpose of an assembly is as A School of the Word.
1Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
1Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved,
and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
When God put MEN or ANERS in full authority it was to Teach that which had been taught and to refute or silence anyone who opposed that which had been taught. MEN in this case specificially EXCLUDES women. Now, the SAVED men is the Greek Word:
Anthrōpos
A. man, both as a generic term and of individuals, Hom. etc., opp. gods
3. in pl., mankind, anthrōpōn . . andrōn ēde gunaikōn Il.9.134;
II. as fem., woman, Pi.P.4.98, Hdt.1.60, Isoc.18.52, Arist.EN1148b20; contemptuously, of female slaves,
Andr-ōn , ōnos, ho, A. men's apartment in a house
Men as Anthropose are men and women inclusively: in the synagogue everyone sat in reverence and silence while a senior male READ the Biblical text. Women past, present and future are subject to the emotional form of music and drama. Music from mystery means "to make the lambs dumb before the slaughter."
As in Corinth Paul was always concerned that women just out of paganism would have been the prophesiers connected to their god by wine, music or drugs. Paul said that if the Corinthians needed to know anything he would write them another letter. Musical performers have always claimed to be mediators between women and the gods.
NO HUMAN CAN BE WORSHIP LEADER
"Worship Leaders" (perhaps a blasphemous title) claim to be mediators by leading you into the presence of God. They also claim to bring God INTO the presence by their roles as WORSHIP LEADERS. However, they repudiate Jesus Christ when they try it.
1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God,
and one mediator between God and men,
the MAN Christ Jesus;
Jesus earned His role as SOLE teacher when the elders teach that which has been taught.
1Timothy 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
1Timothy 2:7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle,
(I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
At His baptism God pronounced Jesus as the Son of a Father: the pagans then and now believed that Sophia, Zoe etc. were DAUGHTERS of the MOTHER GODDESS. Lifting holy hands is not the same as waving unholy arms and clapping hands which signaled "I am available" in pagan assemblies.
1Timothy 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where,
lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
Paul did not use a generic person but man is:
Anēr man, opposed to woman (anthrōpos being man

Exactly. Now tell me this. Would a sensible husbandman, who has seeds which he cares for and which he wishes to bear fruit, plant them with serious purpose in the heat of summer in some garden of Adonis, [short-lived pleasure] and delight in seeing them appear in beauty in eight days, or would he do that sort of thing, when he did it at all, only in play and for amusement?
Would he not, when he was in earnest, follow the rules of husbandry,
plant his seeds in fitting ground,
and be pleased when those which he had sowed
reached their perfection in the eighth month?

1Timothy 2:14 And Adam was not deceived,
but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
1Timothy 2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing,
if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
That does not meant that women will be SAVED by having children. She will be SAFE in childbearing. The usurped AUTHORITY or AUTHENTIA identified the women who had infants and under the arousal of Molech worship GAVE UP their children to be BURNED (1 Corinthians 13). The Assembly was to gather and READ the text as it was written: this was to guard against people inserting their own opinions in song and sermon. The object from the synagogue in the wilderness onward was to read and rehearse or make certain that everyone understood The Book of the Covenant of Grace. Discussion was limited to that portion of the text.
1Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion,
but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
Let your women keep silence in the churches:
for it is not permitted unto them to speak;
but they are commanded to be under obedience,
as also saith the law. 1Corinthians 14:34
The ONLY ordained task was to PREACH the Word (only) by READING the Word only. Everyone else was to be SILENT. For some reason it was women and effeminate males who violated this rule in paganism
1Corinthians 14:35 And if they will learn any thing,

1Corinthians 14:36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you onlyGenesis 3:13 And the LORD God said unto the woman,
What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said,
The serpent (musical enchanter)

Genesis 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent,
Because thou hast done this,

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity
between thee and the woman,

Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said,
I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception;
in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children;
and thy desire shall be to thy husband,
and he shall rule over thee. And again Paul COMMANDED that the women be SILENT. Mike Cope can say that no longer applies in HIS culture. However, you cannot USE women in ruling over roles (preaching with a tune etc) without declaring that PAUL WAS JUST FLAT WRONG.
That is to warn against speaking in tongues real or gibberish which upsets the teaching role. That is to warn against musical instruments which is an exclusive role of women in religions which opposed the Word.. And it is the MARK of the Locusts: In John's coded message Abaddon unleashes the MUSES as his musical worship team. Their role is to SEPARATE people as threshing the grain.
