Richard Beck: As I’ve written about before, right now there are two streams in the Churches of Christ,
a sectarian stream
and an ecumenical stream.

Baptized disciples do not do "worship services" but belong to the SECT OF THE WAY: The Way is defined as synagogue or School: A Church of Christ is built upon or educated by the Prophets and Apostles.
While: ECUMENICAL defines the ANTI-Christian World View where Satan is the Kosmokrater.
A SECTARIAN is called, elected or invited OUT of the Ecumenical World and INTO the Church. They are defined as a Little Flock so tiny as not to be detected by sight, sound, motion or tithes and offerings.
While: The ECUMENICAL is almost the TOTAL world population: Jesus does not pray for the KOSMOS or ECUMENICAL world. And God HIDES from their wise or Sophists meaning speakers for hire, singers, instrument players, staff etal defined in the religionism of the ECUMENICAL such as the Jews as PARASITES.
Gary Holloway Ecumenical: In fact, our mission statement says World Convention exists "to provide a means of relating the global family to the whole Church of Jesus Christ." If that is true, then why does WorldConvention work to connect those in the Stone-Campbell Movement WORLD- wide?
First, [ecumenical] is biblical. “Ecumenical” is from the Greek word oikoumena, which is used 15 times in the New Testament for “the entire inhabited world.” The most interesting passage that relates to the modern meaning is Matthew 24:14: “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”It will be preached as a JUDGMENT and will not save those OF the World who are not OF TRUTH or the lost spirits God sent Jesus and anyone on the dole to go, seek and save FROM the Crooked or Viper Race.

That would be MARKED FOR AVOIDANCE by rhetoric, singing, playing, acting and fleecing the widows. Contrary to unity in diversity Paul said that elders should eject the cunning craftsmen or sophists who are rhetoricians, singers and instrument players. Those imposing musical instruments build their faith on the Levites defined by the Scribes: Jesus defined them as hypocrites and Christ in the Ezekiel 33 example named speakers, singers and instrument players.

When people stand in the pulpit and say that "a spirit" told him he was going to have to preach about and impose the GOAT BURNING sound (exorcise) which Christ in the totally-missed Prophets said was NOT commanded. Not even civil society tolerated what "worship" centers love:I did a quick study of Titus 1 today concerning the selecting of Elders: it is clear that any Greek-literate kid on Crete would understand that no elder would be selected who was a rhetorician, singer or instrument player. Patternism in Churches of Christ: A Template for Sin

Royce Ogle: Today I did a Google search for this term, “What is the Church of Christ pattern?” The search returned 905,000 hits. In most every case, the churches and individuals that came up in my sampling insist that the New Testament provides a pattern for worship which must be followed.
Interestingly, I could not find many who stated what the pattern is. Those in my sample who did define it included components different from each other. The problem with patternism is the “pattern.” Wouldn’t it make sense that it would be relatively easy to find? I am well aware of many of the proof texts but I must ask, “Is everyone reading the same Bible?”
This is what you get when you look to patternists and ANTI-patternists who have made a profession ouf of lying about all of the Bible and recorded history. Why do they do that? In the strong delusion sense they may have no choice: I believe Rick Atchley when he stopped a sermon and said that "a spirit" told him that he was going to have to confess his 12 year hidden agenda to impose instruments because he was a "born-ed Christian Churcher" in disguise.
The pattern was defined inclusively and exclusively for the Qahal, synagogue or Church of Christ in the wilderness. That pattern was continued by the Restoration vision which defined:
Church as A School of Christ
Worship is reading and musing the Word of God.
The "pattern" concept is puffed full because others resist their effort to force others to lament and dance when they pipe.
No agreement as to definition
Agreement is not as important than the fact that from Clay Tablets, some 3,000 years old when Moses was born, the Bible, The later Bible-contemparenous literature of Babylon, Syria, Greece, Canaan, Egypt and Greece, all church fathers and all founders of denominations--going further all people who are able to read BLACK text on BROWN paper know that the MUSIC thingy which is THE purpose driven ANTI-patternists goal (as prophesied) is ALWAYS sourced from Satan (sure by Christ in the Prophets), is associated with warfare, religous exorcism (at Jerusalem), with prostitutes (at the temple) and Sodomites (at the temple). Church fathers and even Plato mark the GENDER BLEED and the Zoe Group had to call in an expert to convince all of the gender bleeds that the Platonic Fallacy is false. Well, it was till in fact in Revelation 17-18 which Royce disputes but will not let the proof be told. When the preachers LIE and break out the singy-clappy boylings as "musical worship teams" claiming to lead you into the presence of God which means "Standing in the Holy Place (as type) claiming to be the MEDIATOR which is the role of Jesus Christ THE one and only Holy Spirit."
Since the Pie Chart is 100% proof or the mark of Satan and the effeminate (Sophia-Zoe) trying to defeat the masculine (Jehovah-Logos), and no one able to read the Bible can deny it, the sudden rise of MUSIC in many or most religious groups is EXACTLY the prophecy of a sudden rise of DEMONISM. After all, Paul in Romans 10 and 1 Corinthians 10 did identify the musical idolatry at Mount Sinai as demonism and the MARK of being beyond redemption.
Royce Ogle: One Church of Christ insists that the five acts of worship (singing, praying, preaching, giving, and the Lord’s Supper) are the pattern. That church will quote verses that support those five things. Another Church of Christ adds baptism for the remission of sins and singing a cappella only as items in the pattern of “the one true church.” Still another adds to the pattern a requirement that only the King James Version of the Bible be used in public readings. The width and breadth of the supposed pattern is limited only by the number of people who define it.
The instrumentalists ADD pieces to the pattern including instrumental music.
If that is an evil patternism then we should demand that the ANTI-patternists give up PREACHING and GIVING. Assuredly there is no command, example, inference or early church history that what we call "preaching" was even permitted. One of the early splits was over a rhetorician who found that he could collect a bigger crowd and be highly paid if he told amusing "bible stories." This, as everyone knew, was contrary to the practice of reading the text in a regular order, explaining any doctrinal content and comforting one another with Scripture.

who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
That is the absolute patternism for anyone who performs the role of evangelism which is not "sermonizing."

The Camp was the barracks and Agora or marketplace of an army. The Agora sold "virgins," singing, speaking, playing instruments and meat. The Agora was where Jesus consigned the pipers, singers and dancers.

In fact, there is no pattern of giving and especially to support the preacher who does not follow the direct command pattern throughout the Bible.Royce Ogle: What about those earliest Christians who, for perhaps two generations, got along quite well before many of the patternists’ proof texts were written, and certainly before they were widely distributed? Were those early believers not able to worship God acceptably?
The pattern was defined by Christ in the prophets to EXCLUDE what Royce wants to ADD as pieces to the pattern:
Isaiah 1 and Jeremiah has Christ denying the patternist authority for instruments from the burnt offering of Goats.
Isaiah 50 prophesied that the clergy would musically mock Jesus of Nazareth.
So, if we can mark musical worship as an attack on Jesus we can CUT OUT pieces of the pattern which was the goal of John Calvin's attempt to "Restore the Church of Christ."
Isaiah 55 outlaws spending our money for what is not food: Christ has supplied all of the "water of the Word."
This also validates Jesus statement that "My WORDS are Spirit" John 6:63. That should disqualify those who have "a" spirit tell them to lie to God and about God.
Isaiah 58 defines the future REST (Pauo) both inclusively and exclusively. He specificially outlaws seeking our own pleasure or speaking our own words. That would silence preachers who preach about themselves and other than the Word as well as song composers, clergy singers and players of instruments.
Timothy was wise unto salvation because he knew the prophets where Christ laid out the church in great detail: it followed the pattern of the Qahal, synagogue or Church of Christ in the wilderness. The only thing that was changed was the focus on the Prophets and prophets made more certain after the CROOKED RACE was shut down, as well as the Lord's Supper which was an act of evangelism or showing forth the death of Christ.
This pattern was ordained in the wilderness AFTER the rich and famous fell into musical idolatry at Mount Sinai and God turned primarily the Civil-Military-Priestly classes (newly imposed) over to worship the starry host. The synagogue or Church of Christ at that time was:

The title of this article is rather strong indictment. Tell me I’m wrong! At least one book has been written, plus scores of articles in periodicals and on blogs,
condemning North Richland Hills Church of Christ in Texas,
for its decision to include instrumental music in one of many Sunday services.
Rick Atchley had a 12 year agenda to RESTRUCTURE this church into a defacto Christian church: He was a "birthed" member of the Christian Church. The first heresy was adding a "Musical Worship Team" which split the church. After that, Rick planned to fire the deacons which was as violent as firing elders because they the same mandate to TEACH as the MINISTERS. This sowed massive discord but after recovery, Rick preached about instruments but said they would never be added to the Sunday services "even till Jesus comes." When HE changed HIS mins and was challenged his response, I gather was "that was then and this is now." So, the boasted 6400 member congregation was "shaken out" to about 3500 with the lusted-for music and the same MONEY. Good deal: a Christian Church preacher with mostly retired members and a huge building said it didn't matter that they no longer attended because they sent in their checks.
Rick colluded with the NACC who feed him with all of the "white papers" which lied about all recorded evidence. Here is the first rationale Rick presented proving that HE intended to impose instruments even if he drove away all of those non-instrumentalists. Some evangelist? Because Rick was so slick the members were the LAST ones to know even though we had been warning them for years.
The next "boiling the frogs" movement was to fire the deacon and add MINISTERS (paid) and DEACONESSES. Of course, the effect was to shuffle off all that could be shuffled off. With a little help from Lynn Anderson he knew how to PUSH people to the edge without getting fired. Each time he pushed them to the edge and GOT HIS WAY, he backed up to let things cool down.
THERE WAS NO DEACONESSES IN THE CHURCH.
This created great discord and we are informed by an attending preacher that the Stepford Wives worked on wives to convince them that they owed more to the church than their family. Rick would later say that they might have to choose between instrumental music and their family: many did.

Royce Ogle: The attitude of those passing judgment is simple: Forget all the Christian service this church provides in its community, forget its faithfulness to preach Christ, to baptize believers and to live holy, loving lives. This was such a dastardly act that the public press saw it as an act of treachery. That is the old GUILT CLAUSE: "I know that I shot you in the heart but you created all of the disturbance by yelling and bleeding on my dancing slippers."
Royce Ogle:It is one thing to decided what is permissible individually or for my congregation, but when I apply that standard to every other Christian, and then teach that they will be lost if they do not comply, I am guilty of teaching “another gospel” and commit a grievous sin.
You are NOT Jesus Christ and you get NO CHOICE in deciding what is permissible meaning that you plan to sow discord.
I recently listed over 40 different issues about which some Churches of Christ have divided, refused to acknowledge each other as brothers, and condemned each other to hell-fire.

If you could find that all churches of Christ got drunk on wine at the Lord's Supper and got aroused with music and went to the back room for the LAST ACT of worship -- real or pseudo -- in the Wimber (aka New Wineskins) fashion and fleeced the flock THAT would not change one jot or tittle of the Word of God. That Word is given to PREACH by being READ as the sole patternism. Any simple simom who knows "what is a disciple" would understand the CENI patternism by just reading the Great Commission. It consisted of a kind of game, in which the women for a long time acted as if seeking Dionysus, and at last called out to one another that he had escaped to the Muses, and had concealed himself with them. After this they prepared a repast, and, having enjoyed it, amused themselves with solving riddles. This festival was remarkable for a feature which proves its great antiquity. Some virgins, who were descended from the Minyans, and who probably used to assemble around the temple on the occasion, fled, and were followed by the priest armed with a sword, who was allowed to kill the one whom he first caught. This sacrifice of a human being, though originally it must have formed a regular part of the festival, seems to have been avoided in later times. One instance, however, occurred in the days of Plutarch (Quaest. Graec. 38).

Daphne of the Bachanalia also called Dionysia, in GrecoRoman religion, any of the several festivals of Bacchus (Dionysus), the wine god. They probably originated as rites of fertility gods. Royce misses the point that he knows of no Church of Christ preacher who would deliberatley "infiltrate and divert" and lie about all of the Bible to FORCE people to either conform to or confirm that instruments are Biblical. Royce knows of no period since the NACC was invented in 1927 which has been free of people trying to IMPOSE instruments on other people.
Since one body can be at only one place at one time, most Chruches of Christ never think much about instrumentalsits or even discuss them UNTIL they make a frontal assualt to try to force people to affirm their folly. I think there is a huge guilt complex for having become the instrumental patternist sectarians and the only way they can gain any peace is to have eveyond JOIN them and bow when they pipe. Almost all "instrumentalists" say that they can worship without instruments; NO ONE is excluded from any church of christ because of their belief about instruments. Of course, it follows the direct command of Paul in Romans 14 to EXCLUDE from doubtful disputations any views which arise otu of human opinion or preference. That then permits what Paul always calls a "synagogue" to function in Romans 15 without the sowing of discord created by playing instruments or any of what is identified as the HYPOCRITIC arts and crafts always PURPOSE DRIVEN to perform SORCERY.
ALL instrumentalists EXCLUDE everyone who does not want to go to "theater for performing arts" when from being Bible literate they KNOW that instruments are outlawed by DIRECT COMMAND for the Synagogue or church in the wilderness AND by common, minimal consideration for Jesus Who is our SOLE teacher when we teach what HE taught.

Jesus came to SAVE mankind FROM the Jewish patternism of preachers as "priests" and Levite singers who were actively involved in infant burning from Egypt onward.
Jesus as the Christ of God came into the world to save people FROM the crooked generaton (race) which consisted of those OF the World or Cosmos. The facts of Jesus' death, burial and resurrection is called the "of first" in order of time or the PROTOS Gospel. That prototype is the TUPOS or Form of Doctrine: doctrine means teaching. A tupos is a PATTERN capable of being imitated. When we are baptized into Christ we obey that form and only then are we free from Sin.
We are saved from or OUT of the world (Cosmos) and our spirits are translated into a heavenly kingdom. In Acts, those who were saved by being baptized were added to the Church. Therefore, the kingdom is the Church and Jesus and everyone came preaching the gospel OF THE KINGDOM. The PURPOSE was that we be taught whatever Christ taught in the prophets and the prophecies made more perfect. By giving heed to that Word we are transformed into the image of Christ. Therefore, it MATERS what we do when we assemble. For the ANTI-patternists who are in a bear (bare) trap, the church as an assemby is called "synagogue" and there is only ONE piece to the pattern. That one piece is the CENI in the Great Commission and teach what Christ taught including the Lord's Supper is the only practice called "preaching."
Jesus went into the synagogue to READ the Word: the pattern is that He stood up to read the regularly schedule portion of Scripture and uncommonly decently SAT DOWN. Then, Jesus WENT OUT to preach. He didn't pass the plate, sing or sermonize out of His head. God is God and Royce is not: when God speaks it is assertive which means that you have no ability to IMPOSE something He has not commanded knowing that it will steal the church houses of widows, further silence the voice of the Victim and DISABLE teaching the Word as it has been taught.
