If you think that Speaking the Scripture Text is really singing the Christ-silencing and effeminate praise songs, you believe that both Ode and Psallo IN your heart or silent really means making melody with litheral or ORGANIC Musical Instruments.

Men trained in Theology or Mythology unfortunately find their way into pulpits where there are no APT Elders who were given the role of Vocational Pastor-Teacher of the Flock. The absolute and well defined pattern for the Assembly or SCHOOL OF CHRIST is to obey HID direct command and approved example of READING especially from the Prophets.
Matt. 23:34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you PROPHETS, and wise men, and SCRIBES:
        and some of them ye shall kill and crucify;
        and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues,
        and persecute them from city to city:
Luke 11:49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them PROPHETS and APOSTLES,
        and some of them they shall slay and persecute:
The Apostles were also SCRIBES.  When they wrote their letters or epistles they assume that they could be understood.  Therefore, the direct command is to READ thes letters and pass them around. This is the "perfect law of LIBERTY" as the Last Will and Testament of Jesus. No lawyer or DOCTOR of the Law who "take away the key to knowledge" is never so PROFANE that they would sell their bodies claiming the right to CHANGE that will and ALWAYS intending to CHEAT THE HEARS.

NOTICE HOW DAVID YOUNG CHANGED THE "WILL OF THE LORD" CLAIMING THAT MUSIC DEFINED AS ABOMNABLE AND DESPISED CHEATS YOU OUT OF READING THAT WHICH WHICH IS WRITTEN FOR OUR LEARNING.

The New Covenant is the Last Will and Testament of Jesus Christ. All you do is SPEAK it to the HEIRS.
Eph. 5:17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the WILL of the Lord is.  ONLY THEN
Eph. 5:18dmy And Dont get drunk on alcohol which leads to decadence; instead be FILLED with the
spirit
Eph. 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be FILLED with the spirit

"The" proves that spirit is not a PROPER NOUN

Prov. 1:23 Turn you at my reproof:
     behold, I will POUR out my SPIRIT unto you,
     I will make known my WORDS unto you.
John 6:63 It is the SPIRIT that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the WORDS that I SPEAK unto you, they are SPIRIT, and they are life.

Eph. 5:19 SPEAKING to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,

BIBLE LITERATE MEANS HISTORIC LITURE LITERATE IF YOU SELL YOURSELF AS AN EXPERT.

Making a spirit come is a double entendre and many documents.

"Where there is no music, the spirit will not come." This West African proverb daily greets the divinity students in the Introduction to Preaching course taught by Brad R. Braxton, Assistant Professor of Homiletics and Biblical Studies at Wake Forest University. Explained Braxton,

"fundamentally, in African American worship, music serves the role of CONJURING God's spirit... [sorcery in Revelation 18]
     When
Black folks get together, they don't necessarily assume that God is there or that the conditions are ripe for God's presence to be manifes

But rather, the conditions have to be made ready through fervent prayer and soul-stirring music. So, music creates the conditions for a meaningful encounter with God." Trevón D. Gross, Vice President for Programs and Partnerships of the American Bible Society (New York), says it another way,

"it is through music that we ASCEND and God DESCENDS." [At Babylon]
"Agreeing with the sentiment expressed by Gross, Cunningham asserts that churches exclusively using a hymnal can have a rousing worship experience facilitated [sorcery] by traditional gospel music. "You can take Because He Lives from the hymnal and make a person shed a lot of tears." How true. Lisa R. Foeman

"And Euripides does likewise, in his Bacchae, citing the Lydian usages at the same time with those of Phrygia, because of their similarity:

But ye who left Mt. Tmolus (Sardis was on this mt.), fortress of Lydia,
revel-band of mine, [WOMEN Always WOMEN whatever the sex says Christ in Isaiah 3]
whom I brought from the land of BARBARIANS as my assistants and travelling companions,

There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. 1  Corinthians 14:10
        Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice,
        I shall be unto him that speaketh a
barbarian,
        and he that speaketh shall be a
barbarian unto me. 1 Corinthians 14:11

uplift the tambourines native to Phrygian cities, inventions of mine and MOTHER Rhea.

And again, happy he who, blest man, initiated in the mystic rites, is pure in his life, . . . who, preserving the righteous ORGIES [wrath] of the great MOTHER Cybele, and brandishing the thyrsus on high, and wreathed with ivy, doth worship Dionysus.

Come, ye Bacchae, come, ye Bacchae, bringing down (double entendre) Bromius, (boisterous one) god the child of god, out of the Phrygian mountains into the broad highways of Greece.

Rubel Shelly prays: "Come Holy Spirit, come, make us truly new creatures in Christ"

There is not one person in Holy Scripture said to worship by preaching, listening, singing, playing instruments, acting or PAY TO PLAY. The purpose of SPEAKING the Holy Scripture is to TEACH that which is WRITTEN for our learn
The Greek or Latin PSALLO is never used of musical melody. If so, melody permits onl a series of single notes sung in unision.  A melody might consist of a single note.

Girardian Reflections on the Lectionary:
5.4.2 Behind the anthropological predilections against the victim's perspective, there is a very practical, quasi-historical reason: namely, the victim is shunned and often killed. In the ancient world, the role of music during ritual sacrifice was often to drown out any cries from the victim. (45) It is crucial that the victim not be heard. The practical mechanics of making victims means that it is unusual for the victim's perspective to survive. In the world of ancient ritual it was probably impossible.

45. The Greek verb myo means to close the mouth or shut the eyes. There is debate about whether myo plays a crucial role in the etymology of other significant words such as myth, mystery, and even music. These etymologies make sense within the Girardian hypotheses.
          Myth means to close ourselves to the victim
                and tell the tale according to the perpetrator's perspective;
          mystery cults are based on the silence of the victims; music derives from drowning out
          the voice of the victim
s5.5 In general, then, the survival of the victim's perspective is highly unusual as a historical phenomenon -- until more recent history, that is, when the victim's perspective has finally established a beachhead in Western culture, namely, the cultures most often in closest contact with the Gospel (more on this below). (And it must be emphasized that the close contact is in the category of being an accident of history and not by any meritorious claims for Western culture. In short, the perspective of the victim has established a place in Western culture not because of any inherent merit in Western culture but because of the historical accident of being in close proximity to the Gospel over a long period of time.)

       I warn you that the school of Catiline would exist in the republic.
But what do those wretches want? Are they going to take their wives with them to the camp? how can they do without them, especially in these nights? and how will they endure the Apennines, and these frosts, and this snow?

For every one gave themselves to riot and excess, when they saw he delighted in it: and all Asia was like to the city Sophocles speaketh of in one of his tragedies:

Was full of sweet perfumes and pleasant songs,
With woeful weeping mingled there-amongs.
For in the city of EPHESUS, women,
attired as they go in the feasts and sacrifice of Bacchus [Dont get drunK or fluted down with wine: you might be abused]

The melodious noyse of trumpets and howboyes;
The musical instruments of schalmes, howboyes and sicklyk;
and in their songs they called him Bacchus, father of mirth,
        courteous and gentle: and so was he unto some,
        but to the most part of men cruel and extreme.

For he robbed noblemen and gentlemen of their goods,
        to give it unto vile flatterers: [ungodly STAFF]

        And a third kind of possession and madness comes from the Muses.
        This takes hold upon a gentle and pure soul,
        arouses it and inspires it to songs and other poetry,
        and thus by adorning countless deeds of the ancients educates later generations.
But he who without the divine madness comes to the doors of the Muses,
        confident that he will be a good poet by art, meets with no success,
        and the poetry of the sane man vanishes into nothingness before that of the inspired madmen.

THE “ETHICS” AND THE “METAPHYSICS” OFMUSIC

Music acts upon human beings, on their nervous systems and their vital processes: in 1849 Liszt wrote a song, “Die Macht der Musik” to a text by the Duchess Hele`ne d’Or le ́ans:MUSIC paying tribute to its own capacities.

This power— which poems and colors possess occasionally and indirectly—
        is in the case ofMUSIC particularly immediate, drastic, and indiscreet:
        “it penetrates to the center of the soul,” Plato says, “and gains P0SSESSION of the soul in the most energetic fashion,”

Moral Effects of Music

Schopenhauer, on this point, echoes Plato.
        By means of massive irruptions,  [overtones]
        MUSIC takes up residence in our intimate self
        and seemingly elects to make its home there.
The man inhabited and possessed by this intruder,
        the man ROBBED of a self, is no longer himself:
        he has become nothing more than a vibrating string, a sounding pipe.
He trembles madly under the bow or the fingers of the instrumentalist;
        and just as APOLLON fills the Pythia’s lungs,
        so the organ’s powerful voice
        and the harp’s gentle accents take possession of the listener.

This process, at once IRRATIONAL and SHAMFUL, takes place on the margins of truth,
        and thus borders more on magic than on empirical science.

Something that wants to persuade us with singing,
         rather than convince us with reason,
         implements an art of pleasing that addresses the passions,
         that is, one that subjugates in suggesting and that enslaves the listener
         through the fraudulent and charlatan power of melody,
         weakens him through harmonic glamour or the fascinations of rhythm.

To accomplish this, the process does not tap the logistical or governing aspects of the mind
        but rather engages the mind
s entire psychosomatic element.

If mathematical discourse is thinking that wishes to make itself comprehensible
        to other thought by becoming transparent to it,
a harmonic modulation is an
act that expects to influence a being;
        and by
influenceone must also understand a clandestine causality,
        just as in astrology or sorcery: illegal maneuvers, black arts.

Solon the lawmaker is a sage, but Orpheus the enchanter is a magician.
         A vocalization is not an excuse and a perfume is not an argument.

Thus, when a human being reaches the age of reason,
        he struggles against this unseemly and illegal seizure of his person,
        not wanting to give in to enchantment,
        that is, to go where the SONGS ARE LEADING

The magical induction becomes a seduction and thus trickery,
        and an ADULT refuses to be captivated,
        resisting the beliefs suggested to him by the auletic. [piper?]

A woman who persuades solely by means of her presence and its perfumes,
        that is, by the magical exhalations of her being,
        the night that envelops us, MUSIC, which secures our allegiance
        solely through the Charm engendered by a TRILL or an ARPEGGIO,
        will therefore be the object of a  deep suspicion.

Ovid, Meta 14.527
When the holy mother of the gods, recalling
how those same pines were felled on Ida's crest,
        filled the wind with a sound of cymbals clashed
        and TRILL of boxwood flutes. Borne through light air
by her famed lion yoke, she came and said,
“In vain you cast the fire with impious hand,
Turnus, for I will save this burning fleet.
I will not let the greedy flame consume
trees that were part and members of my grove.”

Being BEWITCHED is not worthy of a rational person. Just as a MASCULINE
        Will insists that its decisions are made on concrete grounds

and will never admit a preference founded in emotion

so MASCULINE Reason will never admit itself prone to seduction.
What is science for if not to sustain us against the intoxications of night
        and the temptations exercised by the ENCHANTRESS appearance?

Music, the sonorous phantasm, is the most futile of mere appearances,
         and appearance, which with neither the force to probe
        nor any intelligible determinism is nonetheless
        able to persuade the DAZZLED fool, is in some way the objecti
fication of our weakness.
A man who has sobered up, a demysti
fied man,
        does not forgive himself for having once been
        The dupe of misleading powers; a man who is abstaining,
         having awakened from his nocturnal exhilaration,
         blushes for having given in to dark causality.
Once morning has returned, he disowns the pleasurable arts themselves, along with his own skills of pleasing. Strong and serious minds, prosaic and positive minds: maybe their prejudice with regard to MUSIC comes from sobering up. In the presence of the scabrous power un leashed byMUSIC, a number of attitudes are possible. We can distinguish three: the right of use and enjoyment, passionate resentment, and refusal pure and simple.

Here is what Holy Scripture says as the ANTITHESIS of machines or men and women standing in their "holy places" claiming to be God because they substitute SING to replace SPEAK, and replace The Bible always cantillated to a simple MELODY.  If you can, if you are child-like, sing any Biblical text by melos or melody which means to break SCRIPTURE into syllables.

Ephesians 5:18-20 David M. Young Translation.

And don't get drunk on alcohol, which leads to decadence;
instead, be filled with the Spirit BY speaking to one another

always giving thanks to God the Father for everything,
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

That is a direct CONTRADICTION of Holy Scripture. It abuses simple text. The assembly is a School of Christ. You must first fill up with "that which is written for our LEARNING before you can speak intelligibly.  There is not a single verse given by God as LYRIC poetry or fit for performance by the Lyre.  Melody has the same meaning as Grace and both are conditions of the heart or spirit.
Celsus said that it was well known that "music pertained only to the lowest gods, the demons and that the highest divine being had no need of melodies and sounds. And again, Philo claimed that:
        "One
cannot truly offer thanks to God as the vast majority of men do, with external effects, consecrated gifts and sacrifices..., but rather with songs of praise and hymns - not such as the audible voice sings, but such as are raised and re-echoed by the invisible mind. PEOPLE ARE FORCED TO FLEE BECAUSE------------------>

Music may sound beautiful because of the endorphins it creates. However, endorphins are often the morphine drug created by our body only to dull the pain created by the music or physical exercise. Music is the cause, pain and destruction is the effect and the thrill-producing endorphin "high" is the body trying desperately to protect itself from the inflicted harm. If the pain is inflicted too long we experience a drug-overdose which cannot silence the obscene attack, we get sick (good for Prozac pills) and die before our time. Why women and men now say WE WILL NOT LEARN IN SILENCE.

It is a STRONG DELUSION that God ever commanded a DAY for worship.
It is a STRONG DELUSION that God ever commanded any action by the hands of men as worship.
It is a STRONG DELUSION to claim that Jesus died in vain unable to "supply all that applies to life and godliness."
It is a STRONG DELUSION that God ever authorized ANY FUNDING for any funded STAFF to ride on the backs of widows
It is a STRONG DELUSION to claim that God commanded SINGING with or without a Mechanical Device.
It is a STRONG DELUSION and a LIE that there is a Law of Tithing or a Law of Giving

Worship is always defined as the most humble approach often FALLING ON YOUR FACE.  That is the meaning of worship.  Reverence and Godly fear recognizes that  GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE.  WORSHIP is IN the Spirit or WITH the spirit giving attention to TRUTH, the Word, Logos, Regulative Principle outlawing any works with the hands of men.

Theologians being supported claim that Jesus and others were LYING. Jesus defined Holy Scripture as the Prophets and Prophecies CONCERNING ME.  One such message claimed to be but into the MOUTH of Isaiah.

Theologians for which Jesus gave no role and no dole and said I will build (educate) MY Church.
Jesus still builds or educates-only HIS church IN THE Face of the ROCK of Pan and Apollo or apollyon.
There is not a jot or tittle of HOLY SCRIPTURE (The Prophets) of tuneful "music."
No one ever did or COULD "worship" by preaching, listening, singing, playing instruments, acting or PAY FOR PLAY.

Matt. 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him,

        of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed,
                when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man,
         then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself;
        but as my Father hath TAUGHT me, I SPEAK these things.

SPIRIT is figurative or a parable meaning that God puts His WORD into the MOUTH of Jesus of Nazareth for the last time.

WHY NO ONE YOU KNOW IS A CHRISTIAN OR DISCIPLE:

John 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone;
        for I do always those things that PLEASE him.
John 8:30 As he spake these WORDS, many believed on him.
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,
        IF ye continue in my WORD, THEN are ye my disciples indeed;
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

THE COMMAND FOR ALL HOLY SCRIPTURE IS TO READ OR SPEAK that which is written for our learnng.

HEAVEN is Spiritual and the worship even now is IN THE SPIRIT. The elders and beast could not PLAY instruments while lying on their face in reverence and Godly Fear.

John Mark Hicks, Chris Seidman handled by David Faust to transistion to instrumental Idolatry.

If we had any doubt whom the twenty-four elders represented, what they hold in their hands removes it.
        Enthroned around the throne, they hold harps (kithara)  and bowls of incense.

They perpetually worshipped the one who sits on the throne,
        and their worship includes musical praise (symbolized by the instruments) and prayer.

The kitharas and bowls of incense remind us of temple
         gathered in the Holy of Holies to worship God.
        They embody Israel’s temple worship in which the twenty-four (both Israel and the church) participate.

No one but the Jacob-Cursed and God-Abandoned Levites could come near even the City gates when the slaughtered innocent lambs which God never commanded.

        the four beasts and four and twenty elders
FELL DOWN before the Lamb,
        having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

Rev. 5:14 And the four beasts said, Amen.
        And the four and twenty elders FELL DOWN AND WORSHIPPED him that liveth for ever and ever.
Rev. 19:4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts
FELL DOWN AND WORSHIPPED God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
Rev. 22:8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen,
        I
FELL DOWN TO WORSHIPP the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.

He never imagined those who used so much liberty in their mirth would flatter or deceive him in business of consequence, not knowing how common it is with parasites to mix their flattery with boldness, as confectioners do their sweetmeats with something biting, to prevent the sense of satiety. Their freedoms and impertinences at table were designed expressly to give to their obsequiousness in council the air of being not complaisance, but conviction.

84 These innovations or corruptions were not confined to the composition of pieces intended for the theatre, but extended also to the manner of their representation, to music, dancing, and the costume of the actors. It was an absolute plague, which corrupted taste, and finally destroyed the Greek theatre.The Lysiodi and Magodi, or Lysodia and Magodia, were the same thing, according to some writers. Under these systems decency appears to have been laid aside.

Aristotle, P:olitics: -[1339b] Instead of learning to enjoy it rightly and be able to judge it when they hear others performing, as the Spartans do? for the Spartans although they do not learn to perform can nevertheless judge good and bad music correctly, so it is said.

And the same argument applies also if music is to be employed for refined enjoyment and entertainment; why need people learn to perform themselves instead of enjoying music played by others? And we may consider the conception that we have about the gods: Zeus does not sing and harp to the poets himself.

But professional musicians we speak of as vulgar people,
and indeed we think it not MANLY  to perform music,
except when drunk or for fun.

But perhaps these points will have to be considered afterwards; our first inquiry is whether music ought not or ought to be included in education, and what is its efficacy among the three uses of it that have been discussed--does it serve for education or amusement or entertainment?

It is reasonable to reckon it under all of these heads, and it appears to participate in them all.
Amusement is for the sake of relaxation, and relaxation must necessarily be pleasant, for it is a way of curing the pain due to laborious work;

also entertainment ought admittedly to be not only honorable but also pleasant, for happiness is derived from both honor and pleasure; but we all pronounce music to be one of the pleasantest things, whether instrumental or instrumental and vocal music together, at least

Musaeus says, 'Song is man's sweetest joy,' and that is why people with good reason introduce it at parties and entertainments, for its exhilarating effect, so that for this reason also one might suppose that the younger men ought to be educated in music.

For all harmless pleasures are not only suitable for the ultimate object but also for relaxation; and as it but rarely happens for men to reach their ultimate object, whereas they often relax and pursue amusement
 not so much with some ulterior object but because of the pleasure of it,

it would be serviceable to let them relax at intervals in the pleasures derived from music. But it has come about that men make amusements an end;

for the end also perhaps contains a certain pleasure, but not any ordinary pleasure,
and seeking this they take the other as being this because it has a certain
resemblance to the achievement of the end of their undertakings.
There was never a church at Cenchrea: The Ekklesia was a Civil assembly which PUT LAWS FROM A HIGHER AUTHORITY IN EFFECT. Phoebe was the lady who made certain that traveling preachers claiming to speak for god be escorted to the next sheep leaving port. Greek civilized society did not tolerate speakers, singers, instrument players or actors who tried to SELL their parasitic trade: they escorted him across "County Line."

PROOF ONE: JESUS SAID THAT DAVID YOUNG AND THE POST-BIBLICAL THEOLOGIANS CANNOT BE CHRISTIANS.

J
ohn 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them,
        When ye have lifted up the Son of man,
        [Jesus says that DAVID YOUNG blasphemes saying that Jesus was God
         or made Himself God.]

        then shall ye know that I am HE,
        and that I DO NOTHING of myself;
        but as my FATHER hath TAUGHT me,
        I SPEAK these things.

Deut. 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my WORDS in his MOUTH; and he shall SPEAK unto them all that I shall command him.

h1818 Dabar has the same meaning as LOGOS. As Regulative Principle it outlaws anything anyone can DO or SPEAK which is not "that which is written for our learning."
SPIRIT WITHOUT MEASURE OR "METRON" CAUSES JESUS AND ALL STRAIGHT DISCIPLES TO SPEAK AND NEVER SING.  The SPIRIT or BREATH God put into the Mouth of the Prophets defines REST for the Godly Jews.

Scripture is not the source of WORSHIP as a set of Religious Operations which Paul calls "Lying Wonders."

From Egypt onward APOLLO or Apollyon was the source of Instrumental-Trinitarian-Perverted play at Mount Sinai onward.

As taught in the Prophets Jesus was MOCKED with instrumental sounds known to induce KOMA and was therefore SORCERY.

DAVID YOUNG MAKES UP HIS OWN DOGMA: GOD WILL NOT LET ANYONE SELL THE FREE WATER OF THE WORD.

John 8:29 And he that sent me is with me:
        the Father hath not left me alone;
        for I do always those things that PLEASE him.

David Young MOCKS Jesus. Any musical performance
is a legalistic way to be INSTRUMENTAL in supplying God's WANTS.

John 8:30 As he SPAKE these words, many believed on him.
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,

Anyone composing their own REPLACEMENT in song or sermon might be Biblically Illiterate.  However, Jesus had Paul say in Ephesians that the craftsmen or sophists (speakers, singers, instrument players) are LYING IN WAIT TO DECEIVE
if any man minister [deacon], let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
GOD PROVIDED NO MONEY FOR ANYTHING BUT TEACHING THE WORD AS WRITTEN.  Anyone who intimidates people to give MONEY as a TOOL for the GOSPEL is Robbing Widows and honest workers.

PROOF TWO THAT DAVID YOUNG AND THE WHOLE SPAWN OF LATTER-DAY THEOLOGIANS ARE NOT CHRISTIANS.

Acts.17.25.God.Not.Worshipped.Mens.Hands.html

Acts 17:23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription,
        TO THE UNKNOWN GOD

  [Apollo or Apollyon was one such god. The Locusts or Muses were his prostitute worship team.]
        Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
Acts 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein,
        seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth,
        dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

Acts 17:25 Neither is WORSHIPPED with MEN'S HANDS hands,
        as though he NEEDED any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things
;

Holy Scripture never identifies WORSHIP as preaching, listening, singing, playing an instrument, acting or PAY FOR PLAY.

Holy Scripture supplies no example of people (includiing David) ever said to WORSHIP by any kind of MUSIC which was always understood to be the INSTRUMENT of thieves, Sorcerers or Witches.
Psa. 50:8 I will not reprove [boil over] thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings,
        to have been continually before me.
Psa. 50:9 I will take no bullock out of thy house,
        nor he goats out of thy folds.
Psa. 50:10 For every beast of the forest is mine,
        and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
Psa. 50:11 I know all the fowls of the mountains:
        and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
Psa. 50:12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee:
        for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.
Psa. 50:13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls,
        or drink the blood of goats?

Apollō, Apollon was the god of MELODY: he carried the LYRE to seduce male or female. He carried the Bow to make the strings TWANG to send a SINGING arrow into male or female who did not submit.  He is the only personified SPIRITUS and He was, from Egypt onward, the Leader of the Muses.  His musical worship team were known as LOCUSTS and dirty adulteresses.
The Word or Logos is not and cannot be a God: God's Word has the same meaning as HIS light or life.  LOGOS is god's regulative principle which heaps BURNING on all who are ANTI-LOGOS.

The Word or Logos is used to REPUDIATE Hermes who was the Pagan gender-conflicted god of merchants, thieves and liars.  He is KAIROS used as a pattern for new PLANTS.  He was the messenger or intercessor of all Cults which go beyong the Ekklesia or a School of Christ.

God's WORD or LOGOS  consists of inclusive and exclusive things connected with how God puts His WORD into the MOUTH of Jesus for the last time without the help of A Holy Spirit person.

John 7:18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory:

John 8:33 They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed,

John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
        Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
John 8:35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever:

John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free,

John 8:37 I know that ye are Abraham’s seed;

John 8:38  I SPEAK that which I have SEEN with my Father:

DO in the name of A Holy God is defined--for the straight crowd--as SPEAK or READ "that which is written for our learning."

Plato in the Republic warns:

"Now when a man abandons himself to music to play upon him and pour into his soul as it were through the funnel of his ears those sweet, soft, and dirge-like airs of which we were just now speaking, and gives his entire time to the warblings and blandishments of song, the first result is that the principle of high spirit (temperament), if he had it, is softened like iron and is made useful instead of useless and brittle.

But when he continues the practice without remission and is spellbound, the effect begins to be that he melts and liquefies till he completely dissolves away his spirit, cuts out as it were the very sinews of his soul and makes of himself a 'feeble warrior.' "Assuredly," he said. "And if," said I, "he has to begin with a spiritless nature he reaches this result quickly, but if high-spirited, by weakening the spirit he makes it unstable.

Heredotus explains how Cyrus was told how to neuter captives:

Grant, then, forgiveness to the Lydians, and to make sure of their never rebelling against thee, or alarming thee more, send and forbid them to keep any weapons of war, command them to wear tunics under their cloaks, and to put buskins upon their legs,
        and make them
bring up their sons to cithern-playing (Kitharizein), singing (psallein), and shop-keeping (Hucksterism).
                So wilt thou soon see them
become women instead of men,
                and there will be no more fear of their revolting from thee."

The Corinthians say (and the Lesbians agree) that the most marvellous thing [Lying Wonders] that happened to him in his life was the landing on Taenarus of Arion of Methymna, brought there by a dolphin. This Arion was a lyre-player second to none in that age; he was the first man whom we know to compose and name the dithyramb1 which he afterwards taught at Corinth.

1 The dithyramb was a kind of dance-music particularly associated with the cult of Dionysus.

Ephesians 5 commands SPEAKING and in Romans 15 "using one mind and one mouth" to "speak that which is written for our LEARNING.  There is no evidence that people who Sow Discord and steal the churches of widows HAVE or evne NEED to understand what they so savagely teach with the command authority of WOLVES.  Paul would have understood that the "psalms" or Mizmors in the Book of Psalms are 50 used by their private devotion but never in a Worship Assembly.  Furthermore, both ODE and PSALLO  are silenced.  All "singing" or "names" of instruments are the Carnal Weapons of Sorcerers or Witches.

As to Apia as a name for Peloponnese or Argos, see Aesch. Supp. 260ff.; Paus. 2.5.7; Scholiast on Hom. Il. i.22; Tzetzes, Scholiast on Lycophron 177; Stephanus Byzantius, s.v. Apia.

Hdt. 2.153  Psammetichus having made himself master of all Egypt, he made the southern outer court of Hephaestus' temple at Memphis, and built facing this a court for Apis, where Apis is kept and fed whenever he appears; this court has an inner colonnade all around it and many cut figures; the roof is held up by great statues twenty feet high for pillars. Apis in Greek is Epaphus

Hdt. 2.59 The Egyptians hold solemn assemblies not once a year, but often. The principal one of these and the most enthusiastically celebrated is that in honor of Artemis at the town of Bubastis1 , and the next is that in honor of Isis at Busiris. [2] This town is in the middle of the Egyptian Delta, and there is in it a very great temple of Isis, who is Demeter in the Greek language. [3] The third greatest festival is at Saïs in honor of Athena; the fourth is the festival of the sun at Heliopolis, the fifth of Leto at Buto, and the sixth of Ares at Papremis.

WRONG ABOUT PREDESTINATION:
Only godly Jews still alive on Pentecost were the ELECT.  In addition the Christian Kingdom was preached to the Gentiles. The only way they can be saved is through Baptism.

Notice the two GROUPS which is always the meaning of PREDESTINATED purpose.

And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob,
........[1] and to restore the PRESERVED of Israel:
........[2] I will ALSO give thee for a light to the Gentiles,
........[3] THAT thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth. Isa 49:6

There were 120 Disciples of John who collected the elect remnant. After Jesus sent His SPIRIT to produce WORDS in the upper room, the only Driving purpose was that the those still alive as pilgrims went back to their homes and spread the LIGHT.  Light and SPIRIT have the same meaning. ONLY when Peter stood up with the ELEVEN was available in ORAL form.  Furthermore, Scribes were always at any public event.  They had others ready to offer Copies for Sale immediately.  These pericopes were "paragraphs" or "manuscripts" were faithfully preserved.

Based on a true reading of Genesis by Moses AFTER the people fell into Instrumental-Perverted Worship of the Golden Calf at Mount Sinai, the year 2000 is the beginning of the 6Th Day Story line.  The fulfilment of the Babylonian Mother of Harlots worship which began in Sumer in Moses's account unleashes the MUSES or LOCUSTS led by Apollo or Apollyon,.

The tiny flock of Lost Spirits will be protected when the World, Kosmos, Ecumenical or the Kingdom of Satan attacks.  This tiny remnant will not be making noises called music but safe behind closed doors engaged in the only worship concept: they will be worship IN the Spirit as they give their sole attention to The Truth or Logos.  The WORD is God made audible through Scripture. Logos outlaws rhetoric, singing, playing instruments, acting or stealing other people's property.

People who speak of the whole world now turning to Christ cannot know that the Church as School of Christ is The WAY that is called a SECT." It is a very narrow road or "pattern" and close to none can find it because the gate is made STRAIT by Angels of Light ordained (says Jude) to that role.

Luke 18:6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
Luke 18:7 And shall not God avenge his own elect,
        which cry day and night unto him,
        though he bear long with them?
Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily.
        Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh,
        shall he find faith on the earth?

(8) When the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith?—The question implies, it is obvious, an answer in the negative. When St. Luke wrote his Gospel, men were witnessing a primary, though partial, fulfilment of the prophecy. Iniquity was abounding, and the love of many was waxing cold. And yet in one sense He was near, even at the doors (James 5:8-9), when men thought that the wheels of His chariot drove slowly. So has it been, and so will it be, in the great “days of the Lord” in the Church’s history, which are preludes of the final Advent; so shall it be in that Advent itself.

THE PATTERN FROM THE WILDERNESS ONWARD

        they have fulfilled them in condemning him
PEOPLE ARE PROBABLY UNABLE TO SPEAK "THAT WHICH IS WRITTEN" AND GET PAID FOR IT.

The Hebrews, like all nations, had a Civil-Military-Clergy abandoned because of Instrumental-Trinitarian-Perverted "PLAY".  Before the unredeemable fall at Mount Sinai, the Law did not include Priests, Levites or national sacrifices.  This was The Book of The Covenant and still Patriarchal.

The SABBATH was a day of REST as ANTITHETICAL of the Babylonian day of Tithes and SHABBAT

Scholars have not succeeded in tracing the origin of the seven-day week, nor can they account for the origin of the Sabbath. A seven-day week does not accord well with either a solar or lunar calendar. Some scholars, pointing to the Akkadian term shapattu, suggest a Babylonian origin for the seven-day week and the Sabbath. But shapattu, which refers to the day of the Full Moon and is nowhere described as a day of rest, has little in common with the Jewish Sabbath. It appears that the notion of the Sabbath as a holy day of rest, linking God to his people and recurring every seventh day, was unique to ancient Israel. Britannica Members

Luther agreed with Calvin about the power of music: “We know by experience that music has a secret and almost incredible power to move hearts.” Calvin’s knowledge about the force of music, however, led him to be more cautious than Luther. “Therefore, we ought to be even more diligent in regulating it in such a way that it shall be useful to us and in no way pernicious.”
Paul would under teaching Psalms as mizmor

Delitzsch, Psalms: The word "psalm", which is derived from the Greek word psalmos, is a translation of the Hebrew term mizmor, which is the title standing at the head of fifty-seven of the psalms. Thus it is evident that not every psalm has the superscription "psalm". But it is this word which has come to be the designation of the whole book.

Thus we see that although the one hundred and fifty units are called in the Scriptures the Book of Psalms, only fifty-seven of them bear the superscription psalm (mizmor) in the Hebrew Old Testament. The title which the Book of Psalms bears in Hebrew is Sepher Tehillim - the Book of Praises. It is this Hebrew word tehillim....  In Hellenistic Greek the corresponding word psalmoi' (from psa'llein = zimeer) is the more common; the Psalm collection is called bi'blos psalmoo'n (Luke 20:42; Acts 1:20) or psaltee'rion, the name of the instrument (psanteerîn in the Book of Daniel)
Psalm 150 is the the smoking gun for instrumentalists.
Only 57 are mismors
Only 7 of the 57 have instruments named. These are all DEDICATED for the use of certain people or "on the Sabbath" when instruments were never played.  None of them COMMAND us to play instruments.
You will be happy to know that Psalm 150 is NOT a mizmor or psalm.  Therefore, Paul did not command you to SPEAK Psalm 150.

Psalm 150 is a praise song. Paul did not command praise songs. 76 are PRAISE SONG.  These were "making self vile" with lots of twanging bowstrings in front of the enemy who knew that if they lost they would be raped, robbed and raped.

1 Corinthians 16:1f asks to "lay by him in store" or to save up an amount for later collection. Then four or five pairs of hands would carry it to Judea to the poor only. Collections were taken from the "prosperous" for the "poor" and the poor were never asked to give.

In 2 Corinthians 8 and 9 Paul had to make it clearer that this was not a command. That is, he was not instituting some new legalistic "law of giving." The authority is for a one time contribution and was limited to the poor. Paul claimed the right of support for evangelizing but noted that accepting a wage would destroy his influence.

"There were guilds of roving prophets who indulged in practices not unlike clairvoyancy and used music to induce the state; madness was ascribed to the prophets as a class (II Kings 9:11). That at what time ye hear the sound of the (1) cornet, (2) flute, (3) harp, (4) sackbut, (5) psaltery, (6) dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up: Dan 3:5

"Its (pipe = to love passionately) was apparently a secular instrument and is never listed in the temple orchestra; only in Ps. 150:4 it is mentioned in a religious (but not ritual) function. Its ethos was not blameless at all, as we see from Genesis Rabbah 50:

'The angels said to Lot: 'There are players of the pipe (organ) in the country, hence it ought to be destroyed'." Its rabbinical identification with the aboda, the flute of the notorious Syrian bayaderes, emphasizes the erotic element which already the Hebrew name suggests." (Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible, p. 460, Abingdon).

It is a fact, however, that ALL of the instrumental psalms were WAR CHANTS or PARADE HYMNS. The intention was to give glory to an army and its "god" to drive the enemy into panic. The end result of being defeated was often to be sodomized. Therefore, the Greek word pointing to the prostitute points to the Hebrew word for PRAISES.

"We even have a mention at a later date of a similar custom in connection with the cult in Jerusalem, where certain Levites, called me'oreim, 'AROUSERS,' sang (every morning?) this verse from

-"Ps 44:23: "Awake, O Lord! Why do you sleep? Rouse yourself! Do not reject us forever." The Talmud tells us that John Hyrcanus suppressed the practice because it recalled too readily a pagan custom." (Roland de Vaux, p. 247)

H1984 Halal A primitive root; to be clear (originally of sound, but usually of color); to shine; hence to make a show; to boast; and thus to be (clamorously) foolish; to rave; causatively to celebrate; also to stultify:(make) boast (self), celebrate, commend, (deal, make), fool (-ish, -ly), glory, give [light], be (make, feign self) mad (against), give in marriage, [sing, be worthy of] praise, rage, renowned, shine.

THAT IS BECAUSE JESUS ORDAINED VOCATIONAL ELDERS TO TEACH THAT WHICH HAS BEEN TAUGHT.  ANY MORE MEANS THAT YOU MAY NEED DEPROGRAMMING

In The Necessity of Reforming the Church (1543) Calvin wrote:

But is it not altogether at variance with reason that the ploughing oxen should starve, and the lazy asses be fed? They will say, however, that they serve at the altar. I answer, that the priests under the law deserved maintenance, [food only for about 2 weeks in the year]  by ministering at an altar;

but that, as Paul declares, the case under the New Testament is different.

And what are those altar services, for which they allege that maintenance is due to them? Forsooth, that they may perform their masses and chant in churches, for example,

partly labor to no purpose,
and partly
perpetrate sacrilege, thereby provoking the anger of God. See for what it is that they are alimented at the public expense!

Didache 11:3 But concerning the APOSTLES and PROPHETS, thus do ye according to the doctrine of the Gospel.
Didache 11:4 Let every
apostle who cometh unto you be received as the Lord.

Proof that he is NOT an Apostle as proclaimed by the New Day Church

Didache 11:5--- He will remain one day, and if it be necessary, a second; but if he remain three days, he is a false prophet.

Didache 11:6 --- And let the apostle when departing take nothing but bread until he arrive at his resting-place; but if he ask for money, he is a false prophet.

Didache 11:9 And every prophet who ordereth in the spirit that a table shall be laid, shall not eat of it himself, but if he do otherwise, he is a false prophet;

See Cyprian: But if such a one alleges poverty and the necessity of small means, his necessity also can be assisted among the rest who are maintained by the support of the Church;

if he be content, that is, with very frugal but innocent food. And let him not think that he is redeemed by an allowance to cease from sinning, since this is an advantage not to us, but to himself

THE CLEAR PATTERN AS A MARK TO AVOID THOSE WHO CORRUPT THE WORD OR SELL LEARNING AT RETAIL-ADULTERY.

Acts 15:21 For Moses of old time hath in every city
        them that PREACH him,
        being READ in the synagogues every [once] sabbath [Rest] day.

Sabbath NEVER meant a Worship Assembly but Sabbath-Day walk QUARANTINED them from the God-Abandoned Temple. Then and now the neo-Jewish institution INDOCTRINATES and refuses to EDUCATE.

Acts 13:27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their RULERS,
        because they knew him not,
        nor yet the VOICE of the prophets
        which are READ every sabbath day,  [Once a week READING and CONFESSING God's word]
        they have fulfilled them in condemning him

For instance, the distracted world attempts to serve God by setting apart houses, churches, cloisters;
        vestures, gold-trimmed, silk and [50] every other kind;
        silver vessels and images; bells and organs, candles and lamps;
         the money for which expense should have been appropriated to the poor
        if the object was to make an offering to God.

Further, it keeps up a muttering and wailing in the churches day and night.
        But true praise and honor of God, a service that cannot be confined to place or person,
        is quietly ignored the world over.

The pretenses of priests and monks about their system of exercises
being service to the Lord, are false and delusive.

because they silenced his praise, while at the same time,
        they piped, blared and moaned like we do.
        true divine service of praise cannot be established with revenues,
        nor be circumscribed by laws and statutes.
        High and low festivals have nothing to do with it.
        It emanates from the Gospel, and certainly is as often rendered by a poor,

Eph. 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known

SPIRIT is defined as FIGURATIVE or a PARABLE to define "God put His WORD into the MOUTH"of A Moses the Prophets and LASTLY His Son and Man Jesus of Nazareth.
Micah 2:7 O thou that art named the house of Jacob,
        is the SPIRIT OF the Lord straitened? are these his doings?
        do not MY WORDS do good to him that walketh uprightly?
Isaiah 34:16 Seek ye out of the BOOK of the LORD, and READ:
        no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate:
        for my MOUTH it hath commanded,
        and his SPIRIT it hath gathered them.
Isaiah 59:21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD;
        My SPIRIT that is upon thee,
        and my WORDS which I have put in thy MOUTH,
        shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed,
        nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
2Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed,
        whom the Lord shall consume

SPIRIT:
a metaphor for how God puts His WORD into the MOUTH of A Moses, the Prophets and Lastly the Man God "ordained" to be both Lord and Christ.  Jesus now Lives in the STATE of Holy Spirit as the one and only Intercessor.
1Cor. 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul;
        the last Adam was MADE a quickening SPIRIT
John 5:26 For as the Father hath life IN himself;
        so HATH HE GIVEN to the Son to have life in himself;
John 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also,
        BECAUSE he is the SON OF MAN
There is not a single command, example or remote inference of God commanding or approving SINGING as a way to worship Him.  The Instruments in the Old Testament were used by DAVID and the Commanders of the Army after God abandoned the Monarchy to "Worship the Starry host" beginning with Apollon or Abaddon before the Exodus. GOD HIDES FROM THE WISE OR SOPHISTS: SPEAKERS, SINGERS, INSTRUMENT PLAYERS WHO BY DEFINITION DESPISE THE WORD OF GOD AS THE ONLY PATTERN.  PROOF OF BLINDNESS IS PROVEN BY READING 101A OR BY DEFINITION
Lexis.Ode.gif
There is nothing "musical" in the modern sense in all of Scripture.  Those who made noise with tuneful Instruments were the Jacob-Cursed and God-Abandoned Levites.  These levites were under the King and Commanders of the Army and all of their activities were connected with the God-Cursed Civil-Military-Clery complex.
Heb. 9:9 Which was a figure [Parable] for the time then present,
        in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices,
        that could not make him that did the service perfect,
        as pertaining to the conscience;
g4893. suneidesis, soon-i´-day-sis; from a prolonged form of 4894; co-perception, i.e. moral consciousness: — conscience.
g4894.  suneido, soon-i´-do; from 4862 and 1492; to see completely; used (like its primary) only in two past tenses, respectively meaning to understand or become aware, and to be conscious or (clandestinely) informed of: — consider, know, be privy, be ware of.

BAPTISM SAVES because that is God's only way to REQUEST that He give us A good conscience or A holy spirit.

1Cor. 15:45 And so it is written,
        The first man Adam was made a living soul;
        the last Adam was made A QUICKENING SPIRIT .

1Cor. 15:47 The first man is OF the earth, earthy:  [Adam was of DUST meaning an Aborigine]
        the second man is the Lord from heaven

The only commanded RESOURCE is "that which is written for our LEARNING."
The Jews dismembered (Melody) the Scripture Text into syllables which makes Cantillation possible.  Learning and confessing Scripture was the One Piece Pattern for Christ's Assembly which has and needs no Human mediators in song or sermon to REPLACE Jesus.
Music.  Cantillation signs guide the READER in applying a chant to Biblical READINGS. This chant is technically regarded as a ritualized form of SPEECH intonation rather than as a musical exercise like the singing of metrical hymns: for this reason Jews always speak of saying or reading a passage RATHER than of singing it. (In Yiddish the word is leynen 'read', derived from Latin legere, giving rise to the Jewish English verb "to leyn".)

Jesus put His WORDS into the MOUTH of Jesus: this is the only meaning of SPIRIT.  Jesus SPOKE only without measure or musical Meter.  There is nothing which God gave which is singable or musical in a tuneful sense.  Neither Greek Psallo or Harmony speaks of complex "harmony" which is the Laded Burden or the always-anxiety created by religious ritual.
"Although the sermon was not an essential part of the synagogue service, the translation and explanation of the Scripture lesson was a step in the direction of a preaching service. There is evidence that an exposition of the lesson formed a part of the Sabbath afternoon service. In earliest times the sermon seems to have been connected with the reading from the Prophets. Anyone able to instruct might be asked to preach (Acts 13:15). The preacher spoke from a sitting position on an elevated place (Luke 4:20). (feiffer, Charles F., Between the Testaments, p. 63 Baker Book House).
        "The word that is employed for this "anaginosko, anagnosis) is the technical term for the cultic reading aloud of the Old Testament in the synagogue. By applying this terminology to the reading of his own epistles he not only ascribes the same authority to the apostolic word as to the Old Testament writings...he also combines a quotation from the Old Testament with a word of Jesus and introduces the whole with the familiar formula: 'for the Scripture says.'" (Ridderbos, Hermon, Paul, P. 483 an Outline of His Theo., Eerdmans)

The Philipedium: In most western European languages, the word for “read” starts with the letter “L”. These languages can be divided into two main groups — those of Latin origin and those of Germanic origin. In each of the Latin languages (Italian, Spanish, French, etc.), the modern word is derived from legere, the Latin word for “read”. The Italian word is still leggere, essentially unchanged from the Latin. In the other Romance languages, the “g” sound was lost, and so we have leer in Spanish, ler in Portuguese, and lire in French.

(Note: The Old Testament understands that instrumental music--called NOISE--was authorized only in certain dedicatory or purification rituals associated with the temple and with Jerusalem. Without both there was never any rationale for instrument to make a great crashing sound during animal sacrifices.)

"At the dedication of the later edifice, the priests blew the trumpets at the same time that the Levites sang and played upon instruments of music,

        so as 'to make one sound;' but it is evident that on that great occasion of rejoicing, what was aimed at was not musical harmony, but a powerful crash of jubilant sound. We are shut up to the conclusion that

there was nothing in the tabernacle-worship, as ordered by Moses, which could be justly characterized as instrumental music." (George Girardeau, Instrumental Music, p. 29 - a Presbyterian)

This universal CIVIL government of tyrants had nothing of Spiritual Value that could improve the human Spirit or Conscience-Conscience or the power of Co-Perception of God made AUDIBLE through His WORD which He put into the Mouth of A Moses, the Prophets and lastly into the mouth of the MAN Jesus of Nazareth.

People who  think that really simply whining a self-authored (outlawed) set of words to be repeated over and over (the laded burden) have a total disdain for the Holy and Singular Almighty of the universe.  He said "If I get hungry I will not ask you: I have the cattle on a thousand years."  How spiritually deprived to think that replacing the Word with one's on songs and sermons.

The WORD of God defines the Assembly of Christ both inclusively and exclusively in the prophets.
Jesus defines Holy Scripture as the Prophets or other prophecies "Concerning Me."
The Prophets specifically outlaws "selling the free water of the WORD or seeking your own pleasure"
Peter outlawed private interpretation (further expounding in songs or sermons) which would despise or blaspheme God and His Spirit or Breath.

The WORD or LOGOS is God's only Regulative and Governing principle.  God names and Defames personal opinions, personal experiences, rhetoric, singing, playing instruments, acting or "seeing godliness as a means of financial gain. The Word or Logos is God's Regulative Principle: it outlaws anything but READING that once-delivered  Word or Gospel.  To do more or less is to expely God's Holy Spirit or BREATH which Jesus SPOKE ONLY without-METRON or musical tampering.

        that music was introduced among mankind for the purpose of deception and jugglery;

Every one is familiarly acquainted with the fact that the Arcadians are the only people among whom boys are by the laws trained from infancy to sing hymns and paeans, in which they celebrate in the traditional fashion the heroes and gods of their particular towns.

John T. Willis credits Jo Bass as his high school mentor. Jo Bass used G. E. Jones' Baptist list of proof texts promoting the present Supernatural Guidance of THE Holy Spirit. Missing "prepositions 101a" most theologians SEE "The Spirit OF Go " or Christ as ANOTHER GOD which, they claim, is required to make the Words of the Father and Son gods INTELLIGIBLE
I have reviewed just a few of Jones-Jo Bass proof texts being used to ATTACK E.R. Harper as a FEMINIST attack on Scripture as the ONLY resource for Faith

This was the result of adding Lynn Anderson to the Highland Church and having E. R. Harper cast out of his service. That marked the Confiscation of the Herald of Truth and the sowing of massive discord.

SPEAK OR READ the Word, Logos, Regulative Principle which OUTLAWS rhetoric, singing, playing instruments or acting.  Jesus said that God HIDES from the wise or Sophists: speakers, singers, musicians.
Jesus called the Scribes and Pharisees HYPOCRITES: speakers, singers instrument players by pointing to Isaiah 29 and Ezekiel 33.
All forms of meter or musical melody is recorded as "hurting people" to psychological force one's own songs or sermons.

AUDIBLE: to SPEAK all of Scripture where musical melody means to break any Scripture into syllables.  Singing was Cantillation.

Music

Cantillation signs guide the reader in applying a chant to Biblical readings. This chant is technically regarded as a ritualized form of speech intonation rather than as a musical exercise like the singing of metrical hymns: for this reason Jews always speak of saying or reading a passage rather than of singing it. (In Yiddish the word is leynen 'read', derived from Latin legere, giving rise to the Jewish English verb "to leyn".)
God put His WORDS into the MOUTH of Jesus for the last time. That is the meaning of SPIRIT.  Jesus SPOKE what God BREATHED (spirit) without measure or METRON mostly Musical Meter

Both the Ekklesia and Synagogue were Greek Civil assemblies.  There was NO Assembly of Christ in Cenchrea so Phoebe was an official of the Greek Government.  PAUL uses both synagogue and ekklesia words to define the COMING TOGETHER.  We are not aware of any professional religionists who grasps that when Jesus said "I will built MY Ekklesia" He defined the PATTERN or WAY both inclusively and exclusively.  That is because the Prophecies of the REST the Christ would bring is defined Inclusively and Exclusively in the PROPHETS.  Because the Lord's Supper remembers that Jesus died to become the ONLY Teacher for the Church of Christ.  That reduces the assembly to a ONE PIECE PATTERN.  The Church as House excludes Priests or Levites, Scribes or Pharisees Jesus and Ezekiel called Hypocrites as Performance Preachers, singers or instrument players.  The only two operative words for the ONCE EACH WEEK assembly is READ or SPEAK.  There is no example of any godly assembly preaching, singing or playing instruments.

First:  Jacob cursed the Levites and outlawed attending their assemblies or synagogues or entering into their Covenant.
After the Instrumental-Trinitarian-perverted PLAY at Mount Sinai, God turned the nation over to worship the starry host.  The Jews brought Abaddon or Apollon with them from Egypt and neither sacrifice, priest or Temple was commanded when God saved them by Grace at Mount Sinai.

The Holy Convocation was held on the First Day of yearly festivals and later each Sabbath or REST day.  No one in Scripture assembled to hold a Worship Service

The rulers were ignorant at the First Advent and will or are ignorant at this second advent when Apollon rises as the leader of the Locusts.  Locusts were the prophesying Muses as Apollon's musical worship team.

Acts 13:27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their RULERS,
        because they knew him not,
        nor yet the voices of the prophets
        which are READ every sabbath day,
        they have fulfilled them in condemning him

THIS PATTERN NEVER CHANGED.
Acts 15:21 For Moses of old time hath in every city
        them that PREACH him, being READ in the synagogues every sabbath day.

That was just ONCE each week which is enough if every disciple reads together and memorizes a portion of Scripture. Then instead of vain imagination you can SPEAK TO YOURSELF recommended by Psychologists.

PATTERN
Luke 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up:
        and, as his CUSTOM was,
        he went into the SYNAGOGUE
        on the SABBATH day,
        and stood up for to READ.

Then decently and in order He SAT DOWN for any discussion.

Acts 13:15 And after the READING of the law and the PROPHETS
        the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren,
        if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.

The Spirit OF Christ contradicts. God said nothing about their mental attutude:

Dionysus or Dionysos[a] is the god of the grape-harvest, winemaking and wine, of fertility, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, and theatre in ancient Greek religion and myth.[2][3]
As Eleutherios ("the liberator"), his wine, music and ecstatic dance free his followers from self-conscious fear and care, and subvert the oppressive restraints of the powerful. Those who partake of his mysteries are believed to become possessed and empowered by the god himself.[5 as he is a god of epiphany, sometimes called "the god that comes".
[13] The cult of Dionysus is also a "cult of the souls"; his maenads feed the dead through blood-offerings, and he acts as a divine communicant between the living and the dead.[14] He is sometimes categorised as a dying-and-rising god.[15]

For we do not see what is so wonderful in these arts,
        that because of their discovery the soul should be believed to be above the sun as well as all the stars,
        to surpass both in grandeur and essence the whole universe, of which these are parts. "

"For what else do these assert that they can either declare or teach,
        than that we may learn to know the rules and differences of nouns,
         the
intervals in the sounds of different tones,
        that we may speak persualsively in lawsuits,
        that we may measure the confines of the earth?
Now if the soul had brought these arts with it from the celestial regions,
         and it were impossible not to know them,
        all men would long before this be busied with them all over the earth...
But see now how few musicians, logicians, and geometricians are there in the world!
        How few orators, poets, critics!..." (Arnibious, Ante-Nicene, VI, p. 441)

I am SO sorry but I don't think that history knows any exception:
CTESIAS.OF.CNIDUS
Why did you do this, you lowlife?" Parsondes now spoke without flattery,

        "I thought I was more worthy to have this prize
        since I am manlier and more useful to the king than you,
                a man who keeps his face clean-shaven, wears eye-liner,
                and anoints his skin with white make- up."
Then he answered, "Aren't you ashamed that such a great man as yourself,
        defeated by your belly and genetalia, has been conquered by the lesser one?
I, however," he continued, "will soon make your skin softer and whiter than a woman's." He then swore an oath to Belos and Molis (this is how the Babylonians call Aphrodite).

Nanaros then summoned the eunuch in charge of the songstresses and said to him,

        "take this man and shave his entire body except for his head,
        rub it with pumice stone, wash him twice a day and rinse him with egg-yolk,
        and then put eye-liner on him and braid his hair like a woman's.
               Teach him to sing, play the cithara, and pluck the lyre
                so he can perform like a woman for me with the music-girls,
                with whom he will share a lifestyle by having a soft body,
                wearing the same clothes, and practicing the same skills."

After he spoke, the eunuch took Parsondes, shaved his entire body except for the head, taught him what he was asked, keeping him out of the sunlight, washing him twice per day, softening him up,

        and keeping him in the same quarters with the women as his master had ordered.
        Soon after, Parsondes was a white, smooth, and woman-like man,
        who sang and played the cithara more beautifully than the music-girls with
        whom he had performed and surpassed them in beauty as well
        and no one who saw him perform at one of Nanaros' dinner-parties would realize that he was not a woman.

After this, he invited the angaros to join him for a drink and dinner and when the meal was served, the music-girls entered, 150 women in with Parsondes among them. Some women played the cithara or aule while others plucked the lyre; Parsondes was the most prominent of them in beauty and talent as he appeared to be a woman too. When they had their fill of dinner, Nanaros asked the angaros which of the girls he thought was the most attractive and talented and without much thought he replied, "that one" while pointing to Parsondes. Nanaros clapped his hands and laughed for a long time before saying, "How would you like spending the night with her?" to which the angaros readily assented. Nanaros then said, "However, I won't let you have her.", and the angaros relied, "Then why did you ask me?" Nanaros paused for a while and said, "That is Parsondes, the man for whom you have come."

My recent "investment" was with David Young. Therefore, this collection of words such as Wizard, Charm, Enchant, Divination, Sorcery, familiar spirit, Epoide and many more used in Scripture is INDUCED by any musical or regularly-repeating sound.  Before the Ekklesia-Synagogue as School of the Word can take place SILENT REVERENCE must be demanded:
Hab. 2:19 Woe unto him that saith to the wood,
        Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach!
        Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver,
        and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.

Hab. 2:20 But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.
People really believe that the Lord-God has to be aroused so that our singing "brings you into the presence of God."

Psa. 44:23 Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever.

Psa. 57:7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed:

Psa. 108:2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

John Hyrcannus SILENCED all of thes awakening Psalms as pagan.

We even have a mention at a later date of a similar custom in connection with the cult in Jerusalem, where certain Levites, called me'oreim, 'AROUSERS,' sang (every morning?) this verse from-"Ps 44:23: "Awake, O Lord! Why do you sleep? Rouse yourself! Do not reject us forever." The Talmud tells us that John Hyrcanus suppressed the practice because it recalled too readily a pagan custom." (Roland de Vaux, p. 247).

Because David as king was part of a cursed monarchy abandoned to worship the starry host then no one should ever fall into the trap that David was God's approved PATTERNISM for the MUSIC which was a MARK of that Sabazianism or worship of the Sun, Moon and planets as "wandering stars."  Apollo was the SUN god and is Abaddon or Apollyon and the musicians (muses) in Revelation 18 are called sorcerers: so too is the prophesying under the Levites.

Volume: BSAC 136:543 (Jul 1979)
Article: The Dionysian Background of Ephesians 5:18 Author: Cleon L. Rogers, Jr.
The festivals celebrated in honor of Dionysus varied from place to place, but it seems that one common feature was the emphasis on fertility and sex.
The emphasis on the phallus (the male sex organ) in the so- called “Phallus Procession” along with such things as “the Phallus Song,” certainly indicate the lewd debauchery connected with this worship.30 The significance was evidently to please Bacchus so that he would grant fertility.

Note 30: Aristophanes.Archarnians.html DICAEOPOLIS
Xanthias, walk behind the basket-bearer and hold the phallus well erect; I will follow, singing the Phallic hymn; thou, wife, look on from the top of the terrace. Forward!

[263] Oh, Phales, companion of the orgies of Bacchus, night reveller, god of adultery, friend of young men, these past six years I have not been able to invoke thee.

Another feature of the festivals was the wild, frenzied dancing and uncontrolled ravings,
         in connection with wine drinking and the music of flutes, cymbals, drums, or tambourines.
31 Along with this was the mountain dancing of the women which sometimes took place in the dead of winter, and the devouring of the raw flesh of animals.32
        The purpose of the intoxication BY WINE and also the chewing of ivy,
         as well as the eating of raw animal flesh,
                  was to have DionysUS
ENTER the body of the worshiper
                  and FILL him with “enthusiasm” or the SPIRIT of the god.

Dionysus was to possess and control such ones so that they were
        united with him and partook of his strength, wisdom, and abilities.
        This resulted in the person doing the will of the deity (either willingly or unwillingly)
34
        and
having the ability to speak inspired prophecy,35 and was often thought to be
        the source of artistic or poetical ability

"Singing served as a means of inducing ecstatic prophecy (speaking in tongues). Thus the essential relationship between music and prophecy can be clearly seen. This relationship also explains why the expression for "making music" and "prophesying" was often identical in the ancient tongues. origen contra celsum 8.67.
      The Hebrew word
Naba signifies not only "to prophesy" but also "to make music." (Quasten, Johannes, Music and Worship in Pagan and Christian Antiquity, p. 39)

The Significance of the Dionysian Background

If the cultural background was Dionysian worship, then the two commands of Paul in Ephesians 5:18 and their context take on a new light. The several features to be considered are almost in themselves further support for a Dionysian background.

The Concept of ἀ σωτιά
“Be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess, but be ye filled with the Spirit” (Eph 5:18, AV). The word
translated “excess” basically means “without health,” or “incurable.”40 The word then refers to “one who by his manner of life, especially by dissipation destroys himself.”41

       It is generally acknowledged that Dionysus was not originally a Greek god, but probably had his origins in Thracia, Lydia, or Phrygia.
5 The name “Dionysus” appears to be the genitive of the word Zeus joined with the word nysos, (“son”) with the resultant meaning “son of Zeus.6 He is also referred to by the Lydian name of “Bacchus.”7

It would have been hardly possible to have visited an ancient city and to have remained any length of time without seeing Dionysus and his ever- present companions, the Satyrs, Silens, and Maenads.

        For a description of these male and female figures, half-clad, carrying musical instruments, wearing ivy wreaths, and having animal features, see Oxford Classical Dictionary , s.v. “Satyrs and Sileni” and “Maenads,” pp. 636, 956.

Heraclitus, 124, bacchanals, revelers in wine, the initiated.
SOURCES--Clement of Alex. Protrept. 2, p. 18. Context:--Rites worthy of the night and of fire, and of the great-hearted, or rather of the idle-minded people of the Erechthidae, or even of the other Greeks, for whom there awaits after death what they do not hope (see frag. 122). Against whom, indeed, does Heraclitus of Ephesus prophesy? Against night-roamers, Magians, bacchanals, revelers in wine, the initiated. These he threatens with things after death and prophesies fire for them, for they celebrate sacrilegiously the things which are considered mysteries among men (= frag. 125).

Eleusinian.Mysteries.jpg

There were also numerous priestly functionaries connected with the proceedings: The Hierophant, or High Priest, would preside over the most mysterious and solemn portions of the ritual. He alone had the right to enter the secret chamber of the Anaktoron, where the sacred Hiera, or cult objects, were housed.

The High Priestess of Demeter would share with the Hierophant the primary responsibility for presiding over the Mysteries. It is thought that she would assume the role of Demeter in a sacred drama reenacting the goddess's anguish and desperate search for Persephone. Most scholars also believe that the High Priestess would join the High Priest in performing an Hieros gamos, or sacred wedding of symbolic significance. The Hierophantides were two chief female assistants of the Hierophant who played a major role in the drama and initiation ceremonies. The Panageis Priestesses, also known as "bees," were celibate auxiliaries whose precise function remains unknown. Possibly they played a role in carrying the Hiera in the stately procession from Eleusis to Athens and back again. The Dadouchos, second male in rank after the Hierophant, was the torchbearer, who played an important role in the initiations. He alone at Eleusis had the authority to remove the stain of impurity from aspirants who had shed human blood. He and his female assistant, the Dadouchousa, were probably also responsible for the lighting effects in the Telesterion during the ceremonies. The Hieorokeryx was the official herald, whose stentorian voice would call the initiates to silence in order for the Mysteries to begin. Finally, the Priest at the Altar would preside over the animal sacrifices and other offerings to the two goddesses.  The Eleusinian Mysteries

Ignoring the warning of Paul the, as they say, "Use of Female Ministers" the PROMOTION of the Hieros gamos, or sacred wedding is promoted under the ploy of using the Pattern of the Song of solomon as the PATTERN:

Clement and everyone: For such are the begging priests of Cybele. Hence Antisthenes replies appropriately to their request for alms:
I do not maintain the mother of the gods,
For the gods maintain her."
"Again, the same writer of comedy, expressing his dissatisfaction with the common usages, tries to expose the impious arrogance of the prevailing error in the drama of the Priestess, sagely declaring: --

If a man drags the Deity
Whither he will by the sound of cymbals,

He that does this is greater than the Deity;

"But these are the instruments of audacity and means of living Invented by men. --(Clement, Exhortation to the Heathen, Ante-Nicene, II, p. 193).

There is not a single Command, Example or remote Inference of God's People being called out to REST which includes SCHOOL to READ or SPEAK the Word without tampering.

The message of Scripture and historic testimony beginning with Clay Tablets is that musical sound, as a high pitch and a fixed cadence, INTENDS to Afflict and shut down the spiritual or rational mind.

There probably is no example of anyone subjecting a multitude to musical sounds who do not intend to fleece the widows and working class.  God's Spirit in Isaiah 55 MARKS selling your own songs or sermons.

David Young represents the prophesied end-time musical outbreak defined by Jude.  A witch or sorcerer does not 'boil frog's eyes" they "BOIL FROGS" by boasting of gradualism to infiltrate and divert all Bible-based churches and "turn them into a theater for holy entertainment."  Scripture and history says that "Koma is induced by musical instruments." Praise teams are "organic" musical instruments.

Jude 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation,
         it was needful for me to write unto you,
        and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend
        for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
Jude 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ

SPIRIT has never and can never define a GOD: God IS Spirit in contrast to having FLESH AND BONES.  Spirit is a STATE or Mind or Mental disposition.  SPIRIT means that "God puts His WORD into the MOUTH of A Moses, the Prophets and LASTLY into the mouth of Jesus of Nazareth.  Spirits are demons or devil:

1 Cor. 10:7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written,
        The people
sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

Barnes etc And rose up to play - (paizein). The Hebrew word used in Exodus 32:6 (tsaachaq) means "to laugh, to sport, to jest, to mock, to insult" Genesis 21:9; and then to engage in dances accompanied with music, in honor of an idol. This was often practiced, as the worship of idols was celebrated with songs and dances. This is particularly affirmed of this instance of idol worship Exodus 32:19; and this was common among ancient idolaters; and this mode of worship was even adopted by David before the ark of the Lord; 2 Samuel 6:5; 1 Chronicles 13:8; 1 Chronicles 15:29. All that the word "to play" here necessarily implies is, that of choral songs and dances, accompanied with revelry in honor of the idol.

A portion of Scripture was read ONCE each week until the whole book was read especially the Prophets. There is no command, example or remote hint that anyone gathered as an Ecclesia of Christ and sang in a tuneful sense without or without musical instruments for many centuries.
