The following is a paragraph from Lynn Anderson's Navigating the Winds of Change to prove that worship is the central purpose of the church. Because such a tiny paragraph is filled with such false understanding of the Word, looking at "one grape at a time" is about all we can do. This review is based solely upon Lynn's premise that he has a mandate to change the church and remake it into his own image. He will be the flypaper which gets a lot of people to Jubilee 99 and none should go without understanding that bodily charisma does not mean that one is speaking for Christ.
Worship is Central?
"While the focus of this book is not to explore a theology of worship, the assumption that worship is the central purpose of the church undergirds this book. When the apostle John addressed a church threatened by heresy from within and by persecution without, his solution was, "Worship God!" (Rev. 19:10; 22:9), and he set the stage for exalted praise (Rev. 4-5). Again, Paul, the apostle, declares that believers are called to "live to the praise of his glory" (Eph. 1:6, 1, 14).
It might come as a surprise that there is no command, example or even necessary inference that the church meets to worship in the sense of a "praise service." The Greek for worship in these examples is:
Proskuneo (g4352) pros-koo-neh'-o; from 4314 and a prob. der. of 2965 (mean. to kiss, like a dog licking his master's hand); to fawn or crouch to, i.e. (lit. or fig.) prostrate oneself in homage (do reverence to, adore): - worship.
The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Revelation 4:10
John did not say "sing, clap, wave your hands, strut across the pulpit with a proud-as-punch-to-be-the-god-of-the-year look on the face." You simply cannot do what Jubilee and a change to a neo-pagan form of ceremonial legalism and fulfill Revelation 4:10. Undoubtedly those who believe that they are being led by God into a 20th century worship which does not leap-frog back to the commands of Jesus (the first, and in their words, (inferior incarnation) can invent whatever they wish. However, it is indeed strange that God would, in these end-times, restore the Jubilee Jesus was supposed to have finished and arrive at Jubilee-contemporaneous pagan worship like the Jews of the time without Christ.
And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. Matthew 2:11
It comes as no surprise that everyone with an IQ greater than their age, resists doing worship as an act when it is clear that worship is our own, almost automatic response to seeing or hearing about God. If you want to get dressed, weed out the non-charismatics able to "communicate" in change-agentry worship, sing, clap, wave your hands and sing sentimental poetry and treat the congregation as an audience needing a brain-trim, then refuseniks will have to be beaten down with gradual introduction, perhaps in the family life center.

It might come as another shock that the marching order for evangelists is to be sent out with no instructions about how to establish a Seeker Service with methods from the secular world and even witchraft. The most profound act of worship possible to to preach the gospel "as it has been delivered to you" without cutting and pasting it trying to imitate Hollywood:

When evangelists turn preachers it is no wonder that they reach into every bag of tricks to make their crowd bigger than the next nearest competition for top gun position.
Lynn Anderson uses another passage to prove that worship is "praise services":
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Ephesians 1:6
Praise is:

The word means to TELL A STORY: the one the Spirit of Christ wrote:
Ainos (g136) ah'ee-nos; a story, but used in the sense of 1868; praise (of God): - praise.
None of these uses are in a collected masses which Jesus would never call.
He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets. Isaiah 42:2
Caaq (h6817) tsaw-ak'; a prim. root; to shriek; (by impl.) to proclaim an assembly - at all, call together, cry (out), gather (selves) (together).
Instead,
I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, Isaiah 42:6
to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness. Isaiah 42:7
Those who sing to the Lord a new song are telling His praise "from the ends of the earth" and are those who go down to the sea to those who live in the "islands"
Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. Isaiah 42:10
The way to sing God's praise is to go into all the world and tell the gospel story. This has NOTHING to do with a legalistic PRAISE RITUAL.
It might also come as a surprise that there is something more important than knowing Christ. It is more important that Christ knows us. And He does not know those who sing "Lord, Lord" and do not much care about following His will or even understanding it.
The praise of God is most often the praise which comes from God:
- And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is
- in the gospel throughout all the churches; 2 Corinthians 8:18
Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God. Ph 1:11
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 1 Peter 1:7
Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. 1 Peter 2:14
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter (flesh); whose praise is not of men, but of God. Romans 2:29
Contrary to a pagan form of worship sold as the product of Christ, He described the place of worship as in the spirit and the flowing waters of the spirit will be His words. The old places were Zion and Gerezim: the new PLACE would be the human spirit as it gives heed to truth.
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. John 4:21
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. John 4:23
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24
Paul always used a word for the assembly which means "synagogue." The Christian synagogue is a SCHOOL OF THE BIBLE and it never had a "praise ritual." Paul said that worship, like the Most Holy Place takes place only to the extent that we can get into the human mind or spirit.
For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Ph.3:3
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Ga.5:25
For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. 1Co.14:2
Mysteries means to "shut the mouth." it derives from silence imposed by initiation into a religious rite. It has no role in the Christian assembly unless it has been REVEALED by God.
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; Ep.4:23
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Ep.6:18
For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. 1Pe.4:6
I was in the Spirit on the Lords day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Re.1:10

In Revelation, John issues a final warning that God is cut into three pieces. This Catholic view allows us to ignore the Words of Christ and appeal to the Holy Spirit who will "fall on us" and allow us to turn to an effeminate form of worship by telling the refuseniks that our looks, talent and body movements prove that the personal Spirit is pulling the strings. If we can sell this then we can stay on the dole and refuse to "go out" and fulfill the primary commandment of Christ who said nothing about a "theology of worship." Theos said nothing about rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic to feel better about drowning.
Lynn Anderson quotes Revelation to prove that worship defined as rituals acted out upon the bodies of the audience as true worship. However, if you have ever had a dog fall down and roll over to show that you are his superior "dog," then you will understand that God cannot be reached through rituals of music and dance. He probably won't even see you making your new microphone and dress a waste.
John wrote:
And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Revelation 19:10
Peter confirmed that the words of prophecy, the testimony of Jesus is the voice of the Spirit:
Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. 1 Peter 1:11
Paul didn't have his Phd in business or phylosophy but he knew:
For in him dwelleth all the fulness (full Deity NIV) of the Godhead bodily. Colossians 2:9
By ignoring Jesus (God) who said that you have to worship Him rationaly and in spirit or in the mind and trying to attract Him with song and dance is a guaranteed ticked to condemnation for denying His full Deity:
But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows (clansmen), Matthew 11:16
And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented. Matthew 11:17

They were trying to get Jesus in the women's dance common to Dionysus worship:

When Paul said "don't get drunk on wine" and followed this by demanding INTERNAL melody, he was showing us that then, as now, wine drinking and flute playing usually go together

You will not find the Incarnate God of the Universe (Spirit) joining in your singing of soul-wrenching songs to make you feel sorry or glad; nor will He join you in the effeminate dance. The refuseniks know that.
See Revelation 22 where the Alpha and Omega defines the perverted pagan religion and also the ekklesia or church where the Apostles have the only message to SPEAK toHis assembly.
And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Revelation 22:8

It should be embarassing that the new forms of change and worship renewal are quite identical to the ancient, effeminate Dionysus worship. The clergy children insulted Jesus by trying to break down his gender and involve him in the singing, dancing choral of the women of Dionysus.
First, take a look at how efforts such as Jubilee 99 look similar to ancient wineskin worship.
